Hopefully sets us up nicely for the second leg.
-
Fucking job done
-
Excellent.
-
OK can I come inside now? Garden looks tidy so my hard work has paid off this afternoon.
-
Fantastic result very much a hard working performance. Well done villa
-
62% possession for Boro haha says it all. Delighted with the win... On to VP.
-
Get in!
-
Very adequate
-
Excellent stuff, now finish the job in the next two games. Losing Elmo is a real blow.
-
Tidy away performance, that. Everyone played well, but Hutton in particular was excellent.
-
Good result but we should have buried this lot they’re mince.
-
Well done Villa. Excellent performance against twelve men. Need to attack in the Second Leg and try to finish them off, rather than sitting back and trying to preserve our lead.
-
the bells are ringing for claret and blue
-
Good result, very good first half, disappointing second half. Jack and the defence good, Albert, Hotlips, Kodjia were crap.
-
Thought we were very comfortable throughout, reminded me of Forest away. Early goal and then we mainly defended but never under sustained pressure.
Job well done.
Paul Franks slagging off Kodjia already on the phone in...
-
It’s an excellent result but I think we could have made it more comfortable if we’d have picked the odd pass instead of just booting the ball as far away as possible.

I'd start Jimmy in the second leg. Let him prove him wrong.
-
Boro are not vey good. We did a decent job but we need to see them off in the return match. I'm sure we will.
Credit to the Villa boys - great away support
-
Happy with the reuslt but he needs to sort the midfield out for the 2nd leg and the final, we gave them far too much time and space. They had enough chances to get one back and we can't play such a risky game for 90minutes.
Kodj was poor when he came on but I felt a bit sorry for him, 30 yards away from the rest of the team having balls hung up in the air for him really isn't his game.
-
I’d forgotten Pulis teams using a fucking towel at every throw in.
-
Good result, very good first half, disappointing second half. Jack and the defence good, Albert, Hotlips, Kodjia were crap.
Thought Hourihane and Adamoah worked very hard and were very prominent in the first half, harsh, we were wide open on our left defensively when Adamoah went off
The Chester, Terry, Jedinak axis were superb, limited Boro to very little
Grealish was superb at times, commentator was right, difference in class between him and Traore was glaring
Good change from Bruce, and a brave one, to swap Hutton over and follow Traore, Elmo was struggling.
Half time only, need to target their left back more as he is hopeless
Johnstone 7, Elmo 5, Chester 7, Terry 8, Hutton 8, Snodgrass 6, Hourihane 7, Jedinak 8, Adamoah 7, Grealish 8, Grabban 5. Kodjia 3 (awful), BB 6, Whelo 6
-
Advantage us. Pleased with the clean sheet.
-
Onomah would benefit our midfield in the 2nd leg, we need more drive.
-
A tactical masterclass
-
Very professional result all round, with some solid and workmanlike performances, but I thought our extra quality always gave us the edge.
Adama showed extactly what he is, all flash and dash but limited end product. Hopefully we won’t just try to sit on the lead for the second leg.
-
Grabban and Kodge were both very isolated which is why they didn’t have much impact.
But, they worked their bollox off, as did they all and it paid off.
Well done lads. Bloody well done.
-
Good result.
Disappointed that Brian Green is already on the beach.
Dedication Brian.

His hold up play and touch were woeful though, looks like he is pulling a train too in terms of his mobility
-
Just landed from Bratislava at Brum. Yippeeeee
-
I thought Terry, Chester, Elmo and Hutton were immense. Bruce got it right tonight.
-
Just landed from Bratislava at Brum. Yippeeeee
We won 1 -0
-
Get the fuck in. Bed time. Enjoy your night all!
-
Get in!
the best post this season
-
Third of the way there. Fuck me Jack is good.
-
A tactical masterclass
??
-
They could have played all night and they wouldn't have scored.
It's so nice to finally be writing that about the opposition.
-
Get in!
the best post this season
It's certainly my best post this season.
-
My head is fucking pounding! Get the fuck in Villa.
Defended deeply second half but they're so pedestrian in moving the ball wide and it was comfortable. We could be out until tomorrow and Johnstone wouldn't have made a save.
-
Super Jack.
-
I thought Terry, Chester, Elmo and Hutton were immense. Bruce got it right tonight.
And Jedi. Had we done that the last month or two we wouldn't have to worry about the playoffs.
-
Even though it's a great result and we were fairly comfortable, having to watch us in play offs for the first time ever is horrendously nerve shredding.
-
Sunrise here in Fiji, relieved to hear things went well but we know it’s only half time blah, blah, blah.
Well done boys, now finish the job.
-
I thought Terry, Chester, Elmo and Hutton were immense. Bruce got it right tonight.
And Jedi. Had we done that the last month or two we wouldn't have to worry about the playoffs.
Alan Hutton is a very intelligent footballer.
-
Comfortable. Wembley here we come
-
Aston Villa have got the last Jedi..simple as - use the force Tony
-
Thank you Villa, a lovely end to not the best of weeks.
-
We could be out until tomorrow and Johnstone wouldn't have made a save.
Ha! Well yeah except from the couple he made. Glad to see he managed to play today, a very commanding performance when he was called upon. Bruce owned Pullis today, got his tactics spot on. Agree with Sam Mouse, Hutton was immense as was the rest of the defence. If you'd have offered me a 1-0 Villa win before kick off I'd have bitten your hand off, so no complaints from me. It may not have been pretty but it was well orchestrated. Job done.
-
Very good result and sets us up nicely for Tuesday. The inclusion of Jedinak was a good move because although his distribution was not great at times, he won pretty much everything in the air and got the important goal. I thought Hutton, Chester and Terry defended well throughout and the Scottish Cafu did a good job on Traore.
Thought the more advanced players except Grealish were not very impressive and we seemed to lose all ambition of getting a second as the game went on. Adomah helped out well in defence, but Snodgrass looked A bit of a liability at times back there and that would be a bit of a concern for the second leg.
Didn’t really think much of Middlesbrough and thought their main threat came from set pieces and long throws. Traore still looked a bit clueless at times, but he seemed up for it and got on the ball quite a bit.
-
C U Next Tuesday, Tiny Penis.
-
I was screaming at the telly to push up the pitch 20 yards and take the game to them. But, it was a professional performance, if a little too defensive for my liking. I wouldn't take anything for granted going in to the second leg but what a fantastic opportunity we have given ourselves. Some really good performances but I can't single anyone out. I think they all worked hard. For the second leg, I would bring Bree in at left back.
-
Well done Villa boys!!! 1 win and 1 clean sheet down. 2 more of each to aim for! Come on you lions!! UTV.
-
Played very well as a team, they never looked like scoring, just wished we would have pushed forward a bit more in the second half and put the tie to bed. But very well done all round.
-
Even though it's a great result and we were fairly comfortable, having to watch us in play offs for the first time ever is horrendously nerve shredding.
Yeah it certainly is, I'm phoning my Doctor on Monday to see if I can double my blood pressure medication!
-
C U Next Tuesday, Tiny Penis.
I hope we give him absolute dogs Tuesday.

Good result, very good first half, disappointing second half. Jack and the defence good, Albert, Hotlips, Kodjia were crap.
Grealish was superb at times, commentator was right, difference in class between him and Traore was glaring
if chelsea are signing Adama for £30 million well Jack is £50 million then
-
Uncomfortable second half.
But Boro had to go for it.
They might not have been raining in shots to keep Johnstone working overtime, but there were plenty of occasions when they got in behind us and they'll probably feel they should have got two or three.
But balls to them.
-
Can't believe how many empty seats there were, they don't deserve to go up if they can't even fill their ground for such an important game. Watching the Coventry match now, and their lot are even worse!
Thought the keeper and defence as a whole were all very good. Hutton in particular did vey well.
Jedinak did his job well too, and Adomah was the right choice on the left (we looked weaker when Kodjia came on).
I thought Whelan looked good when he came on at the end, and provided some needed calm.
Think we will win by more gals at Villa Park.
Asombolonga looks a decent player. Traore was all fart no shit, just like when he played for us.
-

think any veteran of the 87-88 season and Simod Cup thinks the same.

Good result and ultimately comfortable, but bloody hell, Hourihane doesn’t half go missing when the pressure is on.

It's weird one. He scores 12 goals and creates a few chances but does indeed go missing.
-
Jack, Jedi and Hutton were immense and Johnstone made a few important saves.
Post match Tiny Penis said that “I don’t think anybody could say that we deserved to lose”. WTF? I don’t know what game he was watching but Boro did not deserve a win. The best players were in a Villa shirt.

Quite. There's only one stay that matters and it says 0-1 you antifootball twat.

Agree, my patience with him is up now. Very much hope he'll be second string next season, wherever we end up.

You never know from game to game with Hourihane whether he'll play like Platt or Westwood.

The harsh yellow early on didn’t help hourihane. Not that I’m making excuses for him.
-
Middlesbrough have all the hallmarks of a Pulis side. Nothing flash, long throws into the box, fairly good at set pieces, work hard. A la Stoke, a la Albion. The longer he stays there, the more their fans will start to dislike the football. Today, the huffed and puffed, but didn't really look like scoring and at no point was my heart in my mouth with their efforts on goal. Terry and Chester would have made a conscious decision to drop deeper, they looked very comfortable throughout. Assombalonga had a few chances but snatched at them. Villa had the two best chances of the game.

No I agree it meant he was a bit of a passenger.

Getting booked in the first few minutes didn't help. Boy, what that one shit ref today.
-
I felt pretty comfortable watching the game. I am surprised they didn't start Bamford as after a few barren years he has scored a few this season. The possession was pretty much 60/40 in the home team's favour which is probably the norm.
-
You make me happy when skies are grey. I love my villa , my Aston villa....please don't take my villa away.
-
Hourihane is the sort of player who'll score in the second leg or the final. Great result. Nice to see a gutsy Villa side once again.

Was amazed they didn't start Bamford, he's scored 13 goals since middle of Feb. Assambolonga is non existant outside penalty area.

Let’s bloody hope so.

I think Pulis thought they'd be able to catch us on the counter and that Traore would get the ball in to Assombalonga more often than he did. There was one move that was close enough in fairness.
-

Asombolonga caused us problems though, was a handful in the box. Would far rather we had signed hi than Hogan.
-
I was amazed that Pulis took Assombalonga off and didn't leave him on alongside Bamford, especially when it looked like Villa had given up any ambition of scoring a second goal. Terrible decision from Tiny. In fact, I get the feeling that Pulis doesn't really rate him. Don't know why I think that though.

Play Bree at RB on Tuesday? He did well against Cardiff....
Is Elmo out?
He went off late on with a possible hamstring injury
I know he went off, just wondered if he's been announced unfit for Tues.Could just be a pull.
-
It didn’t look terrible he was movi around OK on the touchline. Fingers crossed just a tweak.
-
I can see why Barcelona were happy to sell Traore.
I can also see why Villa were happy to sell him. Thought before the game he and Grealish were the players who would have the most influence on the match, Jack was head and shoulders the better player.
-

This is my one downside today. Hutton till oreusmably man Mark Adama whichever side he plays. But Bree or Bjarnason would give me kittens
I can’t see Elmo being fit. Maybe not even for the final.
-
Always feels good to be leading at half time. But it is only half time. And it is only 1-0. Another professional job back at B6 please, boys.

If it is a hamstring pull then he has no chance of making it Tuesday. It would be a big ask for Bree to step in and I would not be confident about Bjarnason back there against their wide players.

Agree Risso and he has been like that for some time now. Onomah would give us that extra bit of energy and drive in midfield, but Hourihane is capable of those moments of quality that can turn games.

Some interesting stats said in commentary today. We have conceded the fewest goals from corners this season (6) in the entire Premier and Football League. Did I also hear right that we also haven't lost this season after going ahead in a game?
-
We've also conceded the fewest goals in the last 15 mins of a game, in all competitions covering all 4 divisions. At least I think that was the stat they mentioned as I was eating at the time.
-
FUCTIFINO what went on there.

Had to laugh at Pulis complaining about wasting time by Johnstone when we had all those towelling moments.
-
Thought it was a perfect away performance that sees us at home with a one goal head start. This against a manager who will not be comfortable having to chase a game which is exactly what he will need to do. I felt we had the bounce of the ball at times. The big concern I guess is how we fill in for Elmo given their main threat plays down the wing. There's not many options if they target the deputy.

Nothing confirmed but it sure didn't look promising.

Ha! Well yeah except from the couple he made.
Yes amazing what you see when you watch differently.

So he could be ok

Have read somewhere that it was a hamstring. If so we won't see him again until the World Cup.

I didn't see him make a save second half. I can only recall the Asombalonga chance really.
They created fuck all. We defended excellently.

Should be fucking banned that.

Good performance, anybody else think those centre halves are still good enough for some of top six in premiership? James Chester is a right bcd for pulls , nonsense. I was surprised jedinak ahead of Whelan, but the manager did great again. Not sure Kodjia is up to pace, would have brought BB and then hogan myself
-
Have read somewhere that it was a hamstring. If so we won't see him again until the World Cup.

Someone on VT stating Bruce has said something. TBF, it looked like a hammy. Fingers crossed it is a tweak but Tuesday could come too soon.
-
It’s an excellent result but I think we could have made it more comfortable if we’d have picked the odd pass instead of just booting the ball as far away as possible.
Agree 100%. Was shouting at the telly for them to hold the bloody ball and pass it to a team mate instead of just leathering it upfield straight to an opponent so that it came straight back. Felt sorry for Grabban and Kodjia as I can hardly remember a decent ball played in to them all match.
-
Bruce said "hamstring by the looks of it"
-
Had to laugh at Pulis complaining about wasting time by Johnstone when we had all those towelling moments.
I don't know how he has the audacity! It was three Villa pantomime villains for the price of one tonight - Tiny Penis, Bottler Downing and Traore.
-
I felt pretty comfortable watching the game. I am surprised they didn't start Bamford as after a few barren years he has scored a few this season. The possession was pretty much 60/40 in the home team's favour which is probably the norm.
Think Fabio will come in at right back and Bamford will start on Tuesday. Thought Besic was their best player today and Fabio caused us problems down the right when he came on. Aside from that, they were poor really but tie still very much alive.
Bit worried about Bree coming in to be honest. Hasn't convinced me at all in his appearances to date.
-
Just read the Beeb report, Pulis has said "I don't think anybody could say we deserved to lose the game". Newsflash, lots of people can say it.
-
At the start of the season we thought we had a ridiculous number of right backs
Now it’s either Bjarnason or Bree on Tuesday and, if we get to the final, then too
That’s the main risk for Tuesday in my view
I’d probably play Bjarnason. Bree really gives me the heeby jeeebies
-

I was convinced Sky were going to jinx us by broadcasting that stat but thankfully not.
It came up on the screen that Chico and I were watching in a pub in Greenwich ( during the game I think)witharound a dozen Villa fans
-
IIRC the point was we had loads of RB but not much at LB, as has been proved by keep playing the right backs at LB as Taylor is a bit bobbins.
-
A great and solid team performance.
Boro tend to have goals occur in first 15 mins of matches that happened
Villa score headers that happened!
Villa rarely concede goals late in from 75 mins. Only once away from home!
I'll post up home stats by Tuesday thread.
Regards over all performance really 'enjoyed' the 1st half and the 2nd half was comfortable in main though concerning with defensive change.
Johnstone held out strong as did the defence who dealt superbly with things.
Hutton was immense and Jedinak really did his job so very well
Brilliant by Chessie and JT. JT looked injured at one point but carried on so hope he OK for home leg.
Unfortunately from my view can't be said about Jimmy dodger who came on.
Didn't even offer anything apart from one held up play and then lost it nearly resulting in goal.
Was frustrating as he didn't close down, lead from front, defend from front or do much running at all.
Yes granted was isolated but his attempts at closing down didn't exist and quite frankly was putting strain on team.
I fully supportive of him but Hogan busying himself around pitch would have been better
I guess was wrong time of match on this occasion for him to come on. I think building him up again is good as we all know Jk is a class act but having not scored may be affecting his confidence.
Bruce quite right about him only coming back into things after suffering from a very serious injury
That said villa and grealish bosses things so so classy. I particularly his continued intelligence on the ball.
There can be alot of positive from result despite the pressure and territory conceded 2nd half the organisation and defence was super.
Great result. Well played Bruce.
Well played villa and fans.
-
Adama remains the one that worries me, people can say he’s all show but he was a big threat tonight and he’s contributed to 14 of their goals this year. I think he’s a big talent, still raw but gettin better.
-
Great atmosphere a great win...For those that have traveled there today by car. I have never seem so many speed camera vans both on the way up on the A19 then they had changed sides for the way back to catch you again...
-
Yeah I’m still quite nervous and think there’s a good chance that Boro will score, possibly first
Adama against Bree doesn’t bear thinking about; but presumably Hutton wil follow him like glue
Interesting whether he plays Whelan or Jedinak. Whelan will be fresh, but Jedinak was SO good today he must be tempted to keep him
-
Does glue follow things?
-
Very professional and good win. Now finish them off at Villa Park. 4-1 will do ;)
-

Jedinak is ideal for countering Pulisball. Terry aside and Chester to an extent, not many of our lads are capable to compete defensively in the air. Can't see Jedinak lasting 90mins mind on Tuesday.
-
First goal will be everything. They get it then it's game on but if score then you'd back us to manage it to the end.
-
Very professional performance. Given ourselves a great chance. UTV
-
That twat of a ref always has to put his stamp on the game and make a name for himself. He had clearly decided that Grealish and Snodgrass were buying fouls by going down too easily, and gave both players fuck all.
-
Does glue follow things?
Yes follows my fingers.

That twat of a ref always has to put his stamp on the game and make a name for himself. He had clearly decided that Grealish and Snodgrass were buying fouls by going down too easily, and gave both players fuck all.
That might be as good as it gets. It’s Mike Dean on Tuesday!
-
You never know from game to game with Hourihane whether he'll play like Platt or Westwood.
I find him a very good home player where we should be attacking but it's just not his game when we play away, and mainly on the counter. The away games he's done well in we've gone at the opponent. But I would play him on Tuesday as he's got goals in him.

Good old JPA. One of his songs got an airing during the game today in the pouring rain at the Six Yard Box in Elephant and Castle.

Hi Eamon I was there, what a turn out.

A typical Steve Bruce performance, we played most of the game after we scored defending.
Can we get through to the PLplaying like this?

Considering we only had 2,000 there what is now yesterday, we made an awful lot of noise and it took for ever to get out of the ground at the end.
-
We could be out until tomorrow and Johnstone wouldn't have made a save.
Ha! Well yeah except from the couple he made.
Yes amazing what you see when you watch differently.
I didn't see him make a save second half. I can only recall the Asombalonga chance really.
They created fuck all. We defended excellently.
We defended excellently. As the stats show, it was a case of give us your best shot.. now piss off and stop complaining.
I'm really looking forward to the Holte singing on Tuesday, "There's only one Tiny Penis". Loud and proud. What a tosser!
-
Adama remains the one that worries me, people can say he’s all show but he was a big threat tonight and he’s contributed to 14 of their goals this year. I think he’s a big talent, still raw but gettin better.
Agreed. By the time he's 40 he'll be almost world class. Until then, we have ALAN HUTTON! Love him.
-
Great day yesterday.
My ONLY disappointment was the effort of first Grabban, and then Kodjia. If we're going to play one up front, they need to battle and fight to hold the ball up. Neither did anything near enough and Grabban got an earful from John Terry.
Job done though, a superb effort defensively and great noise from our 2000, at least the ones who weren't trying to beat each other up!
-
Left the house at 8am and was after 11pm when we got back .
5.15pm kick offs are a nuisance for travelling fans , suit no one but the armchair supporter / television audience , another annoyance of modern football. Also gives people another couple of hours in the pub , which some clearly coped with better than others.
Great result -with some superb performances. Jack was superb.
Agree that Grabban and Kodija could have done more .

How bitter is this guy? Stick with it for the revelation at the end

i thought Hourihane gave another ineffective performance, if he is not scoring I am not sure what he brings to the team.
I think Onomah Thor and Whelan contribute a lot more to the team.

I find the 5:15 kick off a pain in the arse at home, as I've got two little ones and it covers tea/bedtime.

Great day yesterday. Very professional performance. Had a couple of drinks in Boro after the game met some decent lads. Only downside I lost 60 quid in the ground! Oh well some lucky bastard had a great day. On to villa park to finish the job. I predict we will go a goal down and after a nerve shredding game we will storm back to win 2-1 on the night.UTV

I tend to agree. Problem is, he does score a fair bit. But getting a proper energetic number 8 in that position would be one of my priorities if we did go up

Indeed. It wouldn't surprise me if the petulant brat had a complete meltdown after he'd finished his deluded, potty-mouthed tantrum. It's an endearing image...
Brilliant result yesterday - so well done to Bruce & his charges for getting it spot-on. One down, two to go. UTV!

Bitter yes, but I found it quite inspiring, the fact that he was so rapped up in his assessment. wouldn't be a bad idea to show that to our boys.

They rang rings around us apparently. Don't we normally win at the Riverside anyway?

Some of those Boro fan videos are comedy gold. And where the fuck is Bearminum? Of the ones I watched the 2 blonde lasses spoke the most sense.

Albion managed seven years of it. Also, I'd like to think there would be a majoir squad overhaul should we ever get there.

I love the line “ Pulis protecting a 1 nil defeat”

A very professional performance from Villa. If only we had applied the same throughout the season we wouldn’t have had to go through all this.
-

I’ll worry about that if we get there.
-
Good win and overall a professional performance. It's what most of us would have taken before the game.
-
well done Villa - the longer it stays this way, the more Tiny will have to urge his orcs to attack which will leave space for us to exploit.
-
Finally got back at 2.15. Very effective performance. I just wish we could have held the ball better in the second half to take the pressure of the defence. Roll on Tuesday night. UTV

FFS boys.
Lighten up and enjoy the win, the next couple of days and let’s what Tuesday brings.

The first goal of these games was crucial.
Thank god we got it, now score first at VP.

I'm struggling to recall these chances they're referring to in these videos that they created.

yes quite liked the one on the left .. i could turn her to villa :)
-
Very professional away performance that. We did all we needed to in a play off away leg and you felt we had several more gears to go through.
Thought Boro were poor and expected more from them. Lots of huff and puff but no end product.
Hutton, Jedinak, Terry, Chester and Grealish, all superb. Hutton had Traore in his pocket.
Kodjia looked knackered when he came on and could barely run after five minutes.
It's obvious and a football cliche but the first goal at VP is massive. I just hope we approach the game positively and don't try and sit on the 1-0. Hopefully 40,000 fans and a bouncing VP will dictate that doesn't happen. We need the whole ground up for it from the off.
-
i only shit myself once with that header at Johnstone , other than that , all possession and no finish and the lads at the back mostly gobbled it up.
wE could have easily been 2 - 0 and out of sight , so what the f@@k these Boro fans are going on about .
i think we should have scored with that grabban chance too If he had looked up and played one of the other lads in instead of his feeble shot.
Professional job done really . I wasnt cheeky bum as much as I thought , always thought we could grab a second even If we were too deep in second half but that happens a lot when Villa go up 1 -0 .
-

Yes exactly however I wouldn't have turned my nose up on a 0-4 either.
-
They had 3 chances all fell to Unpronounceable.
2 he hit wide and the header straight at Johson.
We only seemed in trouble when they counter attacked.
-
I'm struggling to recall these chances they're referring to in these videos that they created.
Yes indeed. I am going to write to Sky to ask them why do their cameras filter out some stuff on live broadcast.

Must be the first time in years that "on the piss my lord" wasn't sung once.

Ironic really-we out-Pulissed Pulis!

Other than the header at johnstone I can't think of anything really. Considering what was at stake and the nerves before kick off, I was relitavely relaxed watching it as they just never looked like breaking us down.
-
In fairness I looked at the OneBoro forum briefly and they were all saying we deserved to win and we had tactically got it spot on in how to counter their game.
-
Didn't look like a normal away following yesterday, or at least the hardcore 2000 whove done 18/15 aways.
Not a criticism at all, it was a brilliant away following and we made a hell of a racket and it was arms and limbs everywhere when the goal went in. But it struck me as more of the sort of crowd we'd take to the Sty or Tipton Town.
-

There was a bloke from my local shown on the TV when the goal went in who spends most of his time watching our televised games in my local.

That was an abysmal effort from Grabban. Great run from Grealish, thought Grabban should have ran with it and looked to square it across goal. Grabban started ok but didn't do enough to stay involved in the game. Need a lot more from him on Tuesday night.

That one guy, in the SI jumper. Wouldn't listen to his mate, trying to calm him down. The bloke was transfixed on smashing one of us own fans for ages, never saw the game at all. I was amazed he didn't get taken away long before he did. What the fuck is the matter with people?

Saw WMPVilla on Twitter complaining about our fans' behaviour yesterday and at Millwall. I thought we were class, we made a cracking noise for only 2000. I'd much rather have a rowdy and lairy away support like yesterday than be like a Fulham or Reading.
Love how wound up the noses are that we're singing 'we're on our way' aswell. They're claiming it's their song despite the fact others like Sunderland have sung it for years and ours is a different version. Wait until they hear 40,000 singing it on Tuesday.

funny enough I went with a boro fan when I was playing in my band at a festival in Ibiza , her ex hubby was Villa , she actually got married at VP but I couldnt turn her , in fact she was just too ugly .

I love pyro, setting any off in a concourse is ridiculous though.
-
There was a lovely looking sniffer dog on the way in, so I'm not sure how it got past that.
I agree with PWS, I like the pyro but it's daft in a confined space.
Police presence yesterday was like we were playing the Noses.
-
We're known for a love of pyro down Bromsgrove, before a Vase game a couple of years ago we were doing some in a beer garden and I got caught in the middle of a massive smoke bomb and it was horrible, eyes sting, you can't see anything and can't breath and that was outside. Doing one inside is a special level of stupid.
This was at Kiddy before a cup final just over a year ago. I'm holding the other side of the flag, Green army!

That’s so bizarre. What with a bit of luck could have been one of the great goals in our history has been deleted from history. Given that it isn’t in any other highlights package anywhere, I’m starting to wonder if it even happened?

Roughly what time did he do it? I've still got it recorded so will try and do a Youtube.

Towards the end of the first half.
