Correct me if you will but I believe we have accumulated the most points in our history this season. What a time to be alive!
-
Shame it's in the second division but a record is a record.
Well done to the team.
Can't wait until we do it in the top division.

Blimey Charlie , you Sir are definitely drinking from a half full pint glass. Brummies are often castigated as dour pessimistic creatures.
Well I love your post , and can't help thinking about them precious Man City fans who were crying the other night (not winning the title at home against man ure) . F*cking Tits.

Means sod all. 46 games in the EFL versus 38 in PL. Then factor in the 2 points for a win in the old days and you see it's a bit of an empty stat.

It is, but at least we're starting to make positive new records as opposed to the string of negative ones started by that tosspot Lambert.

Out of idle curiosity I've just gone back through the tables since 2010/11 and it's interesting that Cardiff made the top six more often than not

When we won the title in 81, it was the last season when there was 2 points for a win. If there had of been 3 points for a win, we would have finished on 86 points from 42 played.

WM trotted out a couple of stats last night after the game. That was our 19th clean sheet this season and our 14th home win. Apparently we haven't achieved the latter since the early 80's.
-
Portsmouth got 88 in 1992-93 and didn't go up
-
102 points in 1971/72 with 3 points for a win.
-
Who'd have thought we'd have reached a record points total with Steve Bruce in charge, oh forgot to say well done Steve.
-
But it’s meaningless. Converting points to be the same means it isn’t a record total, and even if it was, if we don’t go up, who cares?

Afraid so. Unfortunately for us there are 3 clubs in our league who have bettered it.
