My “Give a Shit” meter as it relates to this game is close to “zero fucks given” considering how we’ve royally screwed up the last few weeks. Following the Wolves game this should have been a key fixture. Not so much anymore. I’ll go for a Villa win because I’m a mug.
2-1 Kodjia and Adomah
-
I know what you mean. These two home games this week just feel like a massive inconvenience, to be honest.
-
It is a key fixture. Go in to the play offs on a sequence of defeats and there will be almost no chance of getting promoted. We need to turn it around quickly and get back on a roll.
-
3-1 to Cardiff, sadly.
-
Knowing Villa, now that it makes absolutely fuck all difference to us, we'l probably go and batter tham 4-0 now.

Its the Villa way.
I just want us to win the next two, secure 4th as soon as possible, then get our heads down for the Play Offs.
Boro, Derby and hopefully Cardiff in with us.

I agree, Villa will win this one comfortably. They do it on purpose to mess with us.
-
We are going to get battered 1-1.

We must now get some momentum going into the play offs.
After Saturday, forget resting he could drop the lot of them.
Shame Hutton is injured, I'd have brought him back, while there must be a doubt about Terry after his knock and the amount of games he's played, and I don't think Kodija will start, so maybe Hogan and Grabban up top?
If we'd have won Saturday and then beaten Warnock's lot we'd be a point off automatic, so we've well and truly screwed it up.
Typical Villa, I think we will win when it don't matter so much, I'm going for 2-1 to us.

Wouldn't that be nice? 0-2 to them.
-
I too am in the ‘zero fucks’ camp, however, looking at a bigger picture I think it’s important we beat Cardiff to give Fulham the chance to overhaul them and finish second.
I think I would rather meet Cardiff in the play offs than Fulham.
Then again we’ll most likely fuck up regardless of who we play.

We should have kept the momentum going after the Wolves game but since then we appear to have given up. ( I'm not counting Reading as an H&V eleven of 50 year olds would have beaten them).
-
Worth resting Grealish as otherwise they'll kick the living daylights out of him?
-

Yes the week that could have been so good has turned out be the proverbial spare ***** at the wedding.
-
Don't give a shit tbh.
This game should have mattered and it doesn't.
The players have let us down.
Probably 1-0 Villa.

Summed it up perfectly, if supporters could go on the beach, I' m there. Staying on my beach till the play offs - hopefully 😊
-
As a win is unlikely to make much difference at this stage between play offs and automatic promotion whatever the result we can have a bloody good moan post match.
-
1-1
-
My car is off the road so cant get to and from this one,i know its a tall order but is there anyone coming through or from the Bedworth/Exhall area who i could beg a lift from? id sure pay towards fuel costs.
-
I'm going for a 1-0 Villa win.
-
For the first time I can remember, I really couldn't give a tinker's cuss what we do tomorrow. This week could have been great - two big games, large crowds, something to play for. And now look at it - it's flatter than a witch's tit.
Cheers lads.
-
1-1 letting in a late goal.
-
GONE FOR THE DRAW, all depends if the players can be arsed. but I cant, not even going.

Is Samba fit to play , not listed as injured if Terry doesn't play I would bring Samba in .He isn't great but Jedinek is hopeless there against any kind of movement
-
I have to decide whether I can be arsed to turn up to this now when I was chomping at the bit to go last Friday night.
-
Edit: -
-
It’ll be another Wolves.
An unexpected 4-1 win.
-
I was looking forward to this game with the lad but because I have to pay someone
£50 to do my shift to get to VP I will be working instead .
1 1
-
They'll run us off the park, we'll get a jammy goal but won't have enough for them 1-2
-
whatever the result it won't be a decent game of free flowing football that much we can predict
the winner will probably be the team that manages to keep 11 men on the pitch for 90 minutes
-
I have to decide whether I can be arsed to turn up to this now when I was chomping at the bit to go last Friday night.
Apparently the club are suggesting around 34k for this game which is astonishing given how things have been of late and it being a Tuesday night. Ain’t exactly warm either from what my mom tells me.
-
They looked wank against the Wolves. Just awful kick and rush.
It's a tactic I suppose.
Not expecting entertainment.
Johnstone
Hutton
Terry
Chester
Elmo
Jedi
Grealish
BB
Kodjia
Grabben
Snoddy
-
Calum and Rushian are playing tonight so they won't be involved tomorrow.
-
a very hard fought 2-1 away victory
-
Pros: I ought to attend, I have a ST after all; we might just offer another Wolves-type game; the atmosphere will be tasty with a large number (presumably) of our Celtic cousins; I can shoot the breeze with a few other diehards.
Cons: I've been to all the crap games recently; 250 miles round trip - get home around midnight; football quality probably going to be low-grade.
It's a tough one .... I'll probably decide at around 3.15 tomorrow.
Re the game: a scrappy draw seems likely; or a late away winner.

It had the big game feel a few weeks back and even on Saturday morning as if we'd won we'd only have been four points off them. Then we kicked off at Carrow Road....
We tend to average about 29-30k on the Tuesday night games but remember Reading last week barely managed to bring 500 fans, I assume Cardiff are bringing the full 2.8k so that will bump things up aswell.
-
Hasn't SB said Terry will be rested Ads?
Probably going to be Jedinak at CB but I'd like to see Axel given a go there as it is supposed to be his main position.
-

If you could get to Solihull, I could give you a lift
-
I'll be rooting for Fulham tomorrow, go for it Villa!
-
we sold out our allocation after only 48 hours of going on sale 2 weeks ago . would have been nice to give us at least another 1,000 tickets as we gave you close to 5,000 earlier in the season HQ . Think it's going to be hell of an atmosphere tomorrow night can't wait .

Many thanks for the offer-the problem would be getting home after the game.,reckon i,ll get in a few Guinness cans, and luckily its live on Sky so i will be able to watch it at home,
thanks again its nice of you,--UTV

After the utterly depressing trip to Norwich I really don't feel like driving 320 miles from Sussex and back for more of the same, but I've arranged to meet a couple of the Latin Lions at the Barton's, and they've obviously had a much longer journey. I only hope that dinner in the pub and an afternoon visiting Hereford won't turn out to be the highlights of their trip.

The atmosphere will be pretty tepid, this is no longer a big game for us.
-
this is a top end of the championship game of course it's big game for both sides . i,m sure SB will rally his troops for this one . as for atmosphere pretty sure our lot will make hell of a racket . pretty sure if you score in the first few minutes your lot will crank up there voices too . i got a feeling warnock will park the bus first half and throw everything at you second half even the kitchen sink . you'll be bored of gunarsson with his long throws after about 60 minutes in -haha

Enjoy you big night out.

You may have noticed from the posts on this thread that the life has been sucked out of our fans by our bottle job of the last few weeks. This is still a big game for you, it isn't for us any more sadly, even if we still need points to secure the playoffs. If you get your noses in front early on expect a near silent home end other than grumbling and perhaps a bit of booing. We'll get up again for the playoffs but right now everyone's depressed and pissed off.
-
yeah get your drift meanwood . i think the difference from both sides is that we are not expected to be in this position whilst you are . to me even it is play offs for AV surely you should be looking to finish strong come what may . oh well that's my work done for the evening nerves kicking in now . hope the roads aren't too bad for late afternoon tomorrow that M5 can be a nightmare on times .
-
You gave us 5 thousand because your ground was empty. A bot like vp tomorrow night. The main voices you hear will be singing land of my father, I would imagine.
-
My advice is got off the M5 at junction 4 up the Stourbridge Road, right at Hagley and up the Mile, Manner Way and go up the A456 into town.
-
Only last Friday it looked like the game tomorrow could be a massive one. Unfortunately, things didn't pan out that way and as others have said, it feels like an anti-climax already. Cardiff will come with a physical edge and I'm not really sure we'll be able to stand up to it to be honest.
-
I think my first ever game at Villa Park was against Cardiff City so I'm going for a 2-1 Villa win with Rioch and Graydon from the spot.
-
I’m still stuck in the town of fucked-off-ville since Saturday. 2nd time in 25 years the canaries shat on my head just when I thought glory was in sight.
Think Bruce could be borderline losing the dressing room. It’s his shit tactics and out of depth panic resulting in no discernible plan and blaming the players. What a time to have a shit run.
Based on current form we’re shit and we have no chance in the playoffs which makes it all the more galling.
Can only see a 3-0 win for the bluebirds with the boos getting louder. Sorry Bruce but I don’t think your going to make it for next season.
-

Bruce won't be here whatever happens next season. My fear is "the boos getting louder". As I said when we he was appointed, we still have to get behind the team. Rise up, Villa. Tomorrow will be fun.
-
Another defeat. They will kick the crap out of us too.
-

Yeah. That is the fear. I very much doubt there will be 22 players left on the pitch after 90 minutes.

D_C we don't give anyone 5000 and even if we had offered 5000 your owners would have baulked at that as away club have to pay for the tickets asked they are not sale or return. On the other hand we have sold as many as given.
Anyway good luck but we will beat you.
-

Brian Tiler will score with a great header from outside the area.
The Doc will be pleased. I will think we are moving to glory at breakneck speed.

Yeah. That is the fear. I very much doubt there will be 22 players left on the pitch after 90 minutes.
When we beat Cardiff at home last season Grealish was deliberately targeted and fouled time and time again. And then Warnock had the nerve to complain about Grealish "shouting at the referee to get players booked"
-
Well with us bottling it over the last few weeks the pressure is off so we’ll win.
I’m going 3-1

Yup, no matter how you look at it, Warnock is a twat. I'm sure even the Cardiff fans realise it.

If you have a spare seat, can you take Taylor with you?

I live in Clent where I know around 10 Viilla supporters, and I spend around half of my time in Shenley Green, where the aged parent resides, and I know another 15 or so around there. None of them are going, and several are not watching on the box even though have Sky access.
The Norwich game has taken a considerable toll.
On the plus side, most of our impressive performances have been followed by mediocrity; you can see it graphically if you are so inclined. So a big performance can come out of nowhere.

Hope so. We need to knock the stuffing out of their automatic hopes, give them a reason to fear us in the playoffs.
-
The game is on Bein sport over here I usually get up to watch it live but havn't seen Villa play well on tele for ages so might record it and read the reports first.

Haha. You're alot more confident than I am, mate. It's been absolutely dreadful recently, football and results-wise.

It fascinates me that people can just stop supporting when things go wrong with the team when result, performance or both don’t happen. Like turning the cold tap on. I just can’t do this.
Mind you my glass is always half full!
-
I think their might be a decent atmosphere as I can see Colin sending them out the kick us off the park.
-
Two teams trying to avoid defeat. 0-0
-
Come on Villa boys, let's win this one. Having only lost 2 at home in the league all season, with the players we've got, we need to maintain our home form, if we're to stand any chance in the playoffs. We need a boost against this shower of sh-t and Colin w-nker, to give us an edge if we meet them in the playoffs. Losing 2nd to Fulham, could destroy them, so let's play our part in achieving this. Nobody has done the double over us, I certainly don't want this anti-football excuse of a team to be the first. We need a strong referee tonight to counter Colin's thuggish tactics! UTV!

No, nor do I. Mind you, the people on here claiming not to care about tonight's game or giving 'zero fucks' deep down do or they wouldn't be logging on to a forum to tell people and let's face it, they'll be no doubt voicing their approval/disapproval after the game.
They battered us in the first game, it was only thanks to Johnstone who kept the score down. No idea how this one is going to go but i'll say 2-2. Grabban and Kodjia with ours and Cardiff to miss another penalty.
-
we'll score first on the way to a 2-1 defeat. Grabben just has to start, to give us something
We have been out played and tactically wanting since Wolves.
I cant think of anything positive atm, and I normally can find some ray of light somewhere.
Ok, here's the only smile I can find.
Han Solo Kodjia: Promotion? Jeez, I'm out of it for a little while, everyone gets delusions of grandeur!
-
2-1 to us
-

Yup, no matter how you look at it, Warnock is a twat. I'm sure even the Cardiff fans realise it.
But is he a bigger twat than Bruce, who didn't seem to accept any responsibility for the Norwich defeat.
-
Warnock is a twat but I have to say I like him, there just aren’t characters about anymore, the sanitisation of the game is sad, his interview the other night was hilarious.
It’s far more fun to see someone acting the arse on the touch line & gobbing off with the press than the usual vanilla nothingness that is spouted.
I get far more agitated watching idiocy like players having conversations behind their hands than I do Colin telling Nuno to do one.
Having said all that I would never want him to be our manager but he is very good at what he does, he takes 100% of the focus of the opposition ire & I can imagine if they hit a bad patch the home crowd will focus on him rather than turn straight on players.
-
I think he's a classless ****** who should have been thrown out the game for the most extraordinary cheating when Sheffield United were being drilled by the Stripey Filth.
-
I'd like to say that I'm looking forward to the game tonight, but all my 'fucks' have been used up after the Carrow Road debacle (when they were judiciously used to berate Bruce & his gutless charges). You'd think that they might just roll their proverbials up this evening & show they still give a shit about the climax of this season, but I ain't holding my breath.
I'll go for a draw (1-1) - although it wouldn't surprise me in the least if Colin will be crowing again later & Bruce is hopelessly fishing for excuses. Meh.
-
Guarantee if we beat them he will come out with something along the lines we have turned up just for them, given the nature of his bitterness and the sent it will cause their automatic hopes.
A red card is a cert tonight.
-

They also did exactly the same at their place in the early January game. I remember driving home from Cardiff listening to their fans on the phone ins saying Grealish kept throwing himself to the ground at the slightest touch. I couldn’t believe my ears as I’d just watched Cardiff kick lumps out of him.
-
I said stomping back to the car on Saturday that I cannot be bothered again this season, but the flexitime for today and Friday is booked and I'll be there. Rough with the rough.
-

Am a wee bit concerned that Jack will be a marked man,and that by one way or another he may well not finish the game----to me him being on the pitch will be paramount in the final 4,6 or 7 games, i hope Brucey pays attention and uses his grey matter tonight,
-
I'm looking forward to Jack getting under their skin. They wont finish with 11 men.
-

Couldn't agree more. A more spiteful one eyed cnut you'd be hard pressed to find.

Not sure if that was aimed at me but of course I care Clampy. And any time any Villa fan says I don’t care it’s a bold faced lie. I’m here way too often, and it has occupied way too much of my life as evident of that. It’s just that the last few weeks have taken the steam out of my enthusiasm, a common thing for this club to do over the last number of years. Just when you see a little light, a bit of hope, the door is smashed shut. But work commitments permitting I’ll be logged in somehow, praying we win.
At the end of the day I don’t want Bruce or any Villa managers fired because it means he’s doing well. However we’re a long way past that point now. Let’s finish the season strong, hopefully win out in the playoffs and be in a better position to push on with someone more progressive as a PL club.
-

Let’s hope Jack finishes the game. Won’t be beneath Warnock to sent out the goons.

And Jack will do well to finish the game

You wouldnt put it past them to crock him, incase Cardiff dont finish 2nd.
And they might do it anyway, because its Colin's Cardiff
-

i think sendings off could be the key to winning or losing this game
we have as much chance of losing a player by getting sucked in by one of their wind up merchants as they do with their blatant kicking as seen the last time we met
like you say there's a good chance 22 players will not be on the pitch at the closing bell
-
Given Jack, Snoddy & Hourihame's ability to 'win' free kicks/draw fouls (I'd hate them for this if they weren't our players by the way), we should have a field day from set pieces.
-
Tonight I shall be the modern football 'fan' and fall asleep watching a Champions League match. Last time I did that whilst Villa were playing they won, so it's bound to work.
-
I'm going to confess that since the Wolves game I have changed my routine. I now go down to my parents home to steal food off them before I go to the Villa. My previous routine was to go eat up here and travel straight to the ground.
My routine changed first for QPR.
Its my fault.
-
Given Jack, Snoddy & Hourihame's ability to 'win' free kicks/draw fouls (I'd hate them for this if they weren't our players by the way), we should have a field day from set pieces.
Let's hope there is a dramatic improvement in our ability to exploit them then.
-
A fella at work was asking me if I'd be watching the "massive" game tonight, the potential financial implications, and whether the managers' reputations were on the line. It was only when I told him I think Neil Warnock is a twat that I realised he was talking about Man City v Liverpool.
There's only one game tonight
-
That will make a decent Facebook troll post.
-
Instead of guess the score, in our house my son plays guess what minute will dad fall asleep, 37 minutes is my guess for tonight.
-
After Saturday's debacle I'm expecting wholesale changes, an early Cardiff goal followed by 70-80 minutes of us huffing and puffing and getting nowhere. We'll no doubt end up with four strikers on the pitch and no midfield before conceding a second goal in stoppage time...
-
A crowd of 'at least 34k' expected tonight. Decent that considering our recent form and bottling 2nd. Would have been 38k+ if we had the chance to go 2nd with a win.

You bar steward. How could you do that to us? I am arranging a lynching for you tonight. Be present and ready by the giant oak tree, halfway up the slope in line with he Holte End and Aston Hall, straight after the game.
-
I shall be checking for updates during the Jethro Tull gig at Symphony Hall.
1-1
-
Win 2-0. Grealish and Chester with the goals. I’m bloody stuck at work tonight so will be doing my round with my iPad hidden away and sound down.
-
I have tickets for Jethro Tull tonight and will miss the game and the awful twatter comments during the match as well, if my Wife catches me checking my phone during the gig for the score they might be ringing the solstice bells for me.
I am going for 2-1 to Villa, Snodgrass and Kodjia.
-
The Kodge will score tonight.
Just in time for the play offs.
2-0 Villa.

If you ignore the fact that it's a Neil Warnock team and set pieces are their specialty!
-
I'm not confident of a win or even a result for us, but what the hell their in poor form too, and maybe being at home will give us the edge. Will go for 1-0 to us with Snodgrass getting a late winner.
-
Although the gloss has been taken off by our rubbish form since Wolves this game is still massive imo. It's all about form and momentum at this stage. We can kick start our spluttering season with a win tonight. Make no mistake that's what Colin Wanker will be telling his team. If we lose he will rub it in with maximum effect to destroy our confidence if we end up playing them in the play offs. Nothing less than a full bloodied assault from our boys will be good enough. Come on Villa we can do it. It simply has GOT TO HAPPEN TONIGHT. 3-1 to the rampant lions. Kodja 2 Terry 1.

Watching Villa get beaten by Cardiff is tough, but Jethro Tull?
-
Heard JT is not playing
That would be a major concern against these bullyboys.

I would be more concerned about them injuring our better players ahead of the play offs. They will kick the shit out of us tonight.

He can only stand on one leg.

well the manure fans think Axel's position is CB and really good there so put him in .. think jedi is not the one to play in CB and to be fair we need out players fit for the play offs , so to rest Terry might be the right thing as there is no automatic promotion.
anyway he might play yet Wyness might have been joking .

But will the manager not go with the experienced old pro (Jedi) rather than risk a rookie at CB?
-
I'd play Axel. He's lightening quick and we need the Jedi in midfield.
-
Our squad are short. We need as much height as possible tonight.
-
Height and fight.

I really hope not. Its been tried and it does not work.
-
Height and fight.
Should have brought my boots. I am over six feet tall and can deliver a mean kick to the goolies.
-
Me and the other half were just stepping out the door to go when we saw the M5 is closed between junctions 3 and 4 because of a bad accident. So, if you're coming from Worcestershire, you're going to be late.

"Massive, massive game tonight. The classy former European champions against the newly-successful underdogs. Everybody is banging on about it. The financial implications of failure are enormous. The reputations of both managers are on the line. The highly-paid stars are going to have to be at their best.
But if you are not interested in the Villa and think Colin Wanker, I mean Warnock is a twat then there is always Citeh vs Liverpool."

Terry is at Villa Park, so you have to think he’s playing. Unless he’s there to coach/cheer the boys on.
-
Big Willy is at B6 so maybe he's at centre half.

Have you got him tagged TV?

If Appleyard wasn't playing he'd definitely be at the Chelsea CL game...

Eastie and I are BFF’s and he sends me player location data and bathing suit info for their wives.

I left ‘Nam at around 3:30. Took me about two hours to get to Tesco on Aston Lane via M5, M42, A441, A38, A34
Looks like M5 southbound is closed overnight from J1 to J3, so it’ll be a fun trip back as well

of course he will but then whats the point in having Axel on loan
