Title: Wolves (tickets)
Post by: villabear on March 04, 2018, 12:43:22 PM
Anyone any idea why the official site says ‘coming soon’ for Wolves tickets?

You can buy a QPR ticket but not a Wolves one.

Is it sold out?

You have to log in. It's booking history only, no general sale.

There's 4000 left.

Wolves are letting us have 500 of them.

Makes sense. They've got 20,000 of the other 37,000.

Just had a look on the site and there's loads of good seats available in the Upper Trinity for anyone considering going.

They must have held the front few rows back to give previous season ticket holders to swap seats back to there. However, it looks like many didn't. Blocks A4 and particularly A5 have some great seats available.

Last season, whenever the UT was opened, the club emailed season ticket holders that had been relocated that their previous seats would be available to them for those games, should they wish to take them. They've not done so this season. I only found out about it by stumbling across the information whilst searching for stuff about renewing for next season.

Yep they've released seats the past few days.

Sale a appear to be 37500 at the moment.

On a different Wolves front, how many points can the EFL deduct from them for allegedly being ran by an agent? If proven, they really need to be made an example of!

The Upper Trinity is virtually free,  hardly any tickets sold.

Given the number of Dogheads who reckon they will get tickets I reckon the attendance will be 54,550.

We could have sold 45k-50k against Small Heath given the demand for tickets. This should be a bigger crowd than that as it's a much bigger game, but it won't be.

Well sadly, Wolves won't be swelling the numbers after all:

They'll be there. 5,000 of them will turn up and we'll have to let them in. The police will insist.

Shouldn't even be giving the dickheads a refund. If they can't read, bollocks to them.

I agree - There's no deterrent otherwise. People will continue to take the piss. Knowing they won't be refunded would make them think twice before chancing it. As it stands, they have nothing to lose by purchasing tickets.

Indeed. The other half of our family are Wolves fans who look at you agog if you suggest Billy Wright isn't the greatest player to ever lace their boots. Or that you don't actually agree that there simply isn't a club that can compete with them on importance and history. I have even had an argument with an Uncle who, despite all the evidence I provided to the contrary, still won't accept it wasn't them who invented the league!

We've sold about 200 plus tin the past couple of hours.

Remianing:
Upper North: 117
Lower North: 17

Upper Witton: 209
Lower Witton: 33

Holte: sold out

Lower Trinity: 13
Middle Trinity: 53
Upper Trinity: 3956

442 in spits other than the Upper Trinity and 4398 to go. 400 plus sold today so we may hit the 40k barrier.

You can't do right for doing wrong with the deluded fuckers can you. At least they can watch telly tonight and gauge how they would get on against Juventus.

They really are starting to get on my tits now. Like when my son beats me at Monopoly by stealing cash from the bank or something.

You don't want to be annoyed with them. In fact, you could explain a life lesson about fair play and how you shouldn't be gloating at a better Monopoly player when you have stacked the cards in your favour. To accept both victory and humiliation with grace.

But, deep down, his behaviour makes me want to flip the board upside down and tell him to fuck off.

The difference is Charlie is 7. I don't know a gobby fan of them that is under 30.

One thing I do love is how the other local clubs all use us as a measure of their success. Cov and their weird obsession, the Bitters and the "We know what we are" shite, sha and the shifts of power that last about a month if they're lucky, and now out of nowhere Wolves have a decent season and may finish above us for the time in 38 years and they're obsessing about us. Creaming themselves with excitement, as they scream "Mind the Gap" to each other. A gap that for 37 was never mentioned by them and certainly not by us. Such a strange bunch.

Yes don't understand it either. Thought we'd get 40k for this easily, it's a game that sells itself surely?!

IIRC when we beat Albion twice in a week, the first game (the league one) had a really poor crowd (30k ish), however the atmosphere was brilliant.

Hopefully Saturday will be similar.

Title: Re: Wolves
Post by: Ads on March 08, 2018, 08:56:13 PM
The last time we were on our arse and at the lowest ebb we've ever been, we averaged 10,000 more as a 3rd division club than the tatters manged as a mid-table 1st division side.

Compare that to when they were at their lowest ebb in the 80s and getting an average gate at the Molineux that's less than the away followings we take most weeks.

That's poor support.

Poor is taking 1200 when you're top of the table to Elland Road and 1100 to Hilsborough when we take 2500 and 4600 for a Friday night live game.

They're Mickey mouse.

It was more like 4K more although your points still stands, even second division sha averaged more than Real Barcelona did while finishing top 10.

And i've added to this thread title as we have 2 threads in different sections with the same title.

Odds are high that only 1 of the PL meetings with them will have been a higher attendance. And if we pass 39K then it tops any of the PL games.

If they'd have sold more than 1800-2000 to any of them then it may have been higher.

This year was the first time they'd sold out at the Noses in years too.

They have wank support.

We are the only Midlands team that needs a ground bigger than 30k, maybe the rest of them could pool their resources and ground share.
