That he is out there leading the team is testament to his professionalism and that interview once again reminded everyone as to his obvious decency. If we don't get promoted this season it will of course be disappointing, but given the awful injury list and personal turmoil, he's done a great job keeping us in there with a very decent shout of auto promotion.

Post by: eamonn on February 26, 2018, 09:49:57 AM: Yes, I was thinking Tayles may have just made it to 10 one year. So many midfielders we had the potential to get into double figures over the last 20 years but never did (Curcic, Thompson, Stone, Hendrie, Solano, Sidwell, Milner, er, Tonev).

Ah no it doesn't, in that case Wiki must have included that void game in their figures.

But he’s still not a forward by definition, so I imagine he’s officially classed as a midfielder. I think therefore we have to say he’s a goal scoring midfielder albeit a more advanced one. And by the end of the season he’ll have over 15, and in all likelihood Snoddy and Hourihane will be in double figures too. I’m sure Kodjia was playing it would take away some of those goals but overall it’s really encouraging that our midfield contributes as it does.
