Title: Season Tickets 2018/19
Post by: JJ-AV on February 12, 2018, 08:22:45 AM
Usually around this time they're announced aren't they? I'm guessing they may be holding off a little later this year though...

They've Tweeted to say they'll be releasing details about next year's season tickets today.

Details online now.
Early bird offer holds season ticket prices at the same level as this seasons early bird offer. Effectively, this freezes the cost of a ST to the same as those we paid this year.
That becomes pretty bloody good if we up.

Decent enough, though I'd like them to go on sale for the lower price in the Summer as well, to encourage new season tickets holders. Pleased we are still getting the traditional home defeat against lower league dross free.

That's splendid.

My son's 16 and is the North Stand Lower.

We've(or rather I've) had to pay £145 this year. It'll drop to £69 as they have moved the u16 bracket to u18.

Actually I suspect this policy will really encourage a lot of 16/17 year olds to have one next season. Most of his mates attend at some point throughout the year, and they're relatively independent in terms of getting there. The cost is generally one of the the defining matter at their age. This will make it cheaper to have a ST than the usual 4/5 games a season. My first season ticket circa 85/86 cost £28...Aout the same in real terms as next season.Excellent Villa

To be fair, the club did try to sell the price freeze on relegation as a "per match reduction" so they can't complain if anyone does turn that logic on its head.

Top value, clever marketing what’s going wrong with the Villa. There was a queue to purchase of about 90 secs so no doubt selling well already

just renewed - if we go up it is great value and it's no more than I have been paying if we don't.

I’m not sure I understand this response.
I certainly am not moaning about price freeze which makes it bloody good value, especially if (when) we go up.

4 less home games if we go up. Think that's Dave's tongue in cheek response

It said something like ‘with the possibility of playing the likes of Manchester City, Chelsea and Liverpool next season’ as if that’s a good thing!

The thought put me off a bit.

It's odd, isn't it. I mean, objectively, being in the Premier League is better for the club. More money, better players, better chances in cups. But at best we might come mid table. It's likely we'll be fighting for survival again.

Last season was pretty grim, but I could happily stay down here battering teams and finishing first every year!

Yes, with all the reasons for going up, a large part of me would be a bit disappointed.

Hoping that if we did go up, we’d take the momentum with us.

Just got off the phone with the Doc. He told me to ask BE how’s his Cantonese? He then texted me a formula

🉐㊙️㊗️+🈹🈵=💮/🚷

which I believe is a series of curse words. He did end it #UTV mind you which was nice.

Just spoken to a Derby County season ticket holder, he told me their club’s early bird season ticket scheme is offering to refund the cost of everyone’s season ticket should the club get promoted! He said they’ve got a similar number of season ticket holders as us ,circa 20,000 , if they all renewed it would cost them £9m if they go up or less than 9% of the minimum TV money they’ll receive in their first season . Now that’s a great offer and if the club stay down they’ll stay down with a full ground next season !

What happens if they don't get promoted and a load of people just cancel their season tickets as i'm sure they probably can before a ball is kicked next season ?
