Feckin hell !!
I just realised that it's 3 weeks to kick off on Saturday.
Has anyone received their new season ticket yet?
-
No nothing so far.
-
They're installing some new ticket software, or something. Assume it'll be sorted after that.
-
I am sure they said everyone should get them by the end of July
-
I phoned last week and was told end of July, which is cutting it fine to say the least.
-
only 3 weeks to go, that is so depressing and I was really enjoying my Summer!
-
The last few season's, they've always been sent out around the last week in July.
-
Be nice if they could get the away tickets on sale on time for those of us unsure of whether we will be able to obtain one to plan travel and accommodation.
We seem to go out of our way to inconvenience our travelling fans.
-
last day of july there going to be sent
-

I presume they can only put away tickets on sale once they get them or get the relevant information from the opposing club.
-
Maybe, it never seems to be very urgent though. Sure I only got Blackburn and Wigan tickets in the week before the game... which is shit if you are trying to buy an advance train ticket and save a few quid.
You should always be able to get tickets at least a month in advance... unless it is one where Sky could still move it or a hastily-arranged cup replay, for instance.
-
still no tickets on sale for Hull game, anyone know when this will happen
-
The club tweeted yesterday or the day before that they are on sale next week.
-
Does anyone know how many we have sold?
-
Does anyone know whether I'll be able to relocate if I go down to the ticket office? I know they were upgrading their systems or something but not paid much attention.
-
just received an email telling me my pack will sent out next week and that I am officially a member of the pride.

At least there is finally a Villa Cash type loyalty reward.
-
I'm not convinced about the idea that you can get extra money by going on social media.
Dr Tony is going to bleed the club dry!
-
Any idea how many we've sold so far?
-
notice that you get extra points dependant on how many years you have had a season ticket. Just wondering what date the records for having a season ticket will begin??
-
Slightly off topic but how come you can't buy tickets yet for the Hull game when its only 2 weeks away?

Didn't they do something similar a few years back, but their records only began in, say, 2001?

From another thread
I have had a tweet from AVFC Support saying that "Due to unforeseen circumstances we now expect tickets for the Hull City game to be on sale early next week. Thanks".
-
just received an email telling me my pack will sent out next week
It did make me chuckle that that email also said that if you don't get your pack through by 4 August to give them a call. That's the 4th of August. The day before our first home game of the season!!!
-
The absence of one of these emails had me a bit worried. However, my ST is showing on my online account.
-
I too have been told that I shall get mine on 4th August.
-
My season ticket email said I will get a free badge...yuppeee fuckin' doo
-
Does anyone know how many we have sold?
Hello Hookeysmith, I booked my youngest on a soccer school yesterday and asked how many we had sold and was told
Only just over 18,000 still. Hope that figure is wrong but no reason for the person to lie. How many did we sell last year in the end ?
-
Is the TO email address still the same ?
-
Any ST cards dropping on the mat so far? No sign of mine😟
-
nor mine
-
Nor mine
-
Mine has not turned up yet. If we have only sold 18,000 then this will be down from last season - I seem to remember reading that Wyness said we normally sell around 22,000
So the Terry factor has not boosted season ticket sales?
Massive season for the club, if we do not start well, then crowds will drop a lot compared to the novelty of last season.
-
I can't help feeling they are very late being issued.
Without unduly knocking the club for no reason, I do wonder if they can really distribute 18k + tickets in the last 10 days before the season kicks off.
I suspect there will be many that do not get theirs on time.

I think they've always been sent out towards the end of July from memory, well in the past couple of season's they have anyway.
-
11 days to the first game and they haven't sent out 18-20K ST isn't the greatest.
-
still waiting, tired of waiting, tired of waiting for you....

11 days to the first game and they haven't set out 18-20K ST isn't the greatest.
mAYBE SO - BUT IF WE GET OFF TO A GOOD START THAT WILL JUMP ON THE AMOUNT PAYING ON THE DOOR WILL BRING THE NUMBERS BACK UP.
I'll stop shouting, you don't deserve it.
-
I'm on about us sending out the ST, not how many we've sold. For a side as shit as we've been for the last 5 years I think 18-20K is pretty good.
-
Ah - fair point then.
-
I was in the Villa Park ticket office this morning and overheard a conversation between a supporter and the lady behind the counter with regards to season tickets.
Junior season tickets have been and are being sent out this week and the adult season tickets will be sent "at the end of the month". She was not date specific, but Villa are confident they will be with us in time for the Hull game.
Lets just hope the cards work

But it's nearly the end of the month. Christ they're leaving it a bit late.
-
If they send them out on Monday, ie the last day of the month, they will start to arrive on the Tuesday, a bunch on Wednesday and I'd imagine some possibly on Thursday.
So, in plenty of time.
-
They have said all the way along that they will be sending them out from the 30th July.
-
Pride Rewards ... wondering what these are ....
-
Why leave it until the 31st and have to rush tens of thousands of tickets? Wouldn't it just make more sense to start a week or two earlier giving some actual time for any unforseen circumstances to be dealt with?
-
It's a pain for me because I am on holiday for the Hull game. I can't padd my ticket on if it turns up a couple of days before the season starts. It is also taking the piss a bit when you consider being forced to renew during last season or face a price hike.
-

Maybe ask the TO if they can issue a paper ticket for the Hull game so as you can pass it on?
-
I asked my mates wife if She could get us tickets for the Watford game and while speaking to her I was telling her that no one had received their Season Tickets yet.
She phoned me later to tell me she had got me the Watford tickets and while She was there She asked about the ST's, this was about 2.30ish today.
The guy at the Ticket Office said that they sent the first batch out yesterday and the Post Office were picking up the second batch just then and they were coming back in an hour or so for the third batch.
So it seems to be happening.
-
It's like there's not enough to complain about. You do realise that not sending them out til the 30th doesn't mean that's the day they start licking envelopes! It's quite possible tor them all to go out on the 30th and be there a day or two later.
-
I was told when I brought mine that I'd be receiving it around the end of July. It's the 26th, so it should be here soon. Simple as that really.

That's what I did last season. I was going to be on holiday for the first home game and my ST hadn't turned up. I got a printed replacement ticket to give to my dad. The TO were fine doing this. (My ST then arrived anyway on the morning I was going away).
-
I know they're in a different league, and they start a week later, but my Everton mate hasn't got his yet. Sad twt. He's not sleeping.

AVFC Support on Twitter "The posting of junior season cards will be finalised today with adult cards starting dispatch tomorrow first class"
Does anyone know if they will fit through a standard letter box or does someone have to be in to receive them.

My lad has just had his through my letterbox. Although his under 16's "Cubs season card" has my name on it, and my client reference.

At least when he gets it he will have something decent to watch albeit in a run down stadium ..... VCTM jnr is talking about going to Goodison and also away with EFC this season as all his mates are Evertonians - I can hardly blame him
-
Lock him in his room until he returns to the light

Lock him in his room until he returns to the light
To be fair to him he has waited 16 years before being strong enough to tell me how much pain he has suffered watching the Villa - over the past few seasons the highlight of the journey down to B6 has been the pre or post match Balti
I too have fallen out of love with the Villa, and the game in general - which is probably more down to my current circumstances, age and costs - I now prefer to save my money and enjoy more time in sunnier climes.

-
I'd tell him that's fine. Then ask him how he intends to pay for the tickets or get to the games. If he calls your bluff and produces a way and means, then you can just lock him in the shed.
Having a young son I get asked "but what if Max wants to support [insert northern shower of wankers name here] FC". Such a foolish question, as if Max has a choice. Its the Villa or no football at all.

Yes I agree but they are preferable to the Red Shite - junior spends most of his time in Seaforth and Crosby these days and to be fair his mates are all decent fans that go the game

That's no excuse. man up. Time to prove to him that you are the father he needs and deserves, not this wet lettuce you have become. What are we for if not to inflict our brand of pain and torment and watch them suffer for the love as we do? You know the right thing to do.

I have already had this conversation with Charlie. Some people at school like Wolves. Some like West Brom. Some of the little fuckers Swan around in Man Ure shirts.
"They might like those teams, Charlie. But in this house we like Aston Villa".
Can I like Stourbridge too?
"Yes you can but don't pick any more teams to like".
He was happy with that and has also mastered booing at the mention of the Blues or upon seeing someone in their merchandise.

I haven't taken him to a match yet mind. It needs to be one we win to properly drag him in. One we definitely win has been hard to find in the last few years.

To be fair, I'm lucky..my 9 year old has got her 1st season ticket up here on the Wirral despite being surrounded by the blue and red Scousers. She is quite used to us being shit..she doesn't know anything else!

i mentioned before the fight on my hands with glory hunter supporters and their children being able to turn my eldest's head because we were so poor. But over the past few months he's fully Villa. Watched the games on Sunday with him and he properly was giving fist pumps when we scored. I know the battle isn't over but there is no way EVER I'll allow myself to give in. The stakes are too high to fail.
Villa are, and have been, far too important to me and have played toobig a role in my life to allow any of my offspring to turn their backs on them. Whatever the football is like, wherever I am in the world, and whatever state football is in.

You'd be surprised. Although that is ideal any game with incident wills tick in their minds. For mine it was Gabby being booked in a 0-0 draw at West Ham and Palace scoring in the last minute a Villa. And losing 3-1 at Sunderland. To be fair he hasn't had too many wins to remember.

That made me chuckle - Jnr is now 6` 2" (aged 16) and still growing - he is a keen athlete - football, cricket, boxing, hockey are just some of his interests.
I am 5`8" (aged 60) and totally unfit - the days of me persuading/cajoling/forcing him to do something he doesn't want to do have long since gone.
The Villa will always be in his heart and I daresay he will accompany my down the M6 in the future but in the here and now he just wants to have some fun with his mates
To be fair when I was 14 I lived in Worcester and followed the Villa home and away in the third division - I still found time to watch Chelsea when they played in the Midlands - at that time following them was a bit edgy and unpredictable which appealed to a young skinhead
Its all part of growing up - travelling, drinking, having a laugh, watching football and all that brings along
-
Not very impressed. No season ticket through letter box box yet! Go on holiday tomorrow, will not be able to get back home to see if its arrive, before kick off.
Ticket office has a 30 minute queue on the phone, so can't arrange for a paper ticket, for first match.
Just really poor 😣
I will be there, even if they don't help themselves.
-
You'll probably have a better chance on the phone in the week. Theres a significant queue in the ticket ofice at the moment so there might be a bit of a late rush on GT tickets thats clogging up the lines.
-
Thanks for the tip Amfy.
Unfortunately I could be without a mobile signal for long periods, while I' m away.
I have the option of popping into ticket office tomorrow as its on the way.
Thanks for the reply Amfy
-
Do it early! From the current chaos I expext close to the game could be a nightmare!
-
Quite often they make it matchday only enquiries from 2pm, too.

Many thanks

i'm sending you a emoticon hug thingy 😉

If I knew what they looked like 😊

My card's arrived
-
"Innovative technology" means get there early next week.
-
I must admit it's a bit amateurish fans not receiving their season tickets with a week to go till the start of the season. A slap on the wrist for the club with this one.
-

They were just asking for that!
-
Just checking am I the only one to have received their season card. Even though I've had a season ticket for about 95 years, I wasn't expecting such special service!

It's not a good situation as reassurance that you will be able to get into the ground without any hassle is to be expected, but considering the new technology being implemented then as long as everyone receives their season ticket cards before the first day of the season then there isn't really any grounds for complaint. I suspect a third party (or parties) may also be involved in the delays.
-
Has anyone tried to login in and use the PIN. I'm getting a page not found message.

Still nothing
-
Nothing here either, a bit shit to leave it until the final few days.
-
Not gone mine either.
-
I'm still waiting also, and for our disabled parking permit for Villa Village (which has gone up by £30 without warning)
-
This could turn out to be a PR disaster when come saturday thousands haven't arrived. The club should have had these out much earlier ....
While there are many positives of the Xia era there are many off field issues that still need major work on ....
I don't think anyone yet knows how the replacement of Villa cash is working ........ this should be out there by now

I'm trying to get tickets for Reading with my daughter's and my season ticket and it says I don't have enough privileges. They were on sale to all season ticket holders from 5pm. This is really turning into a farce.
-
empty seats mlud empty seats
-
No season ticket for me yet either. Or any away tickets. Can't even get through on the phone and my e mail has gone unanswered.
Looking forward to Saturday but no idea how I'm going to actually get in the ground.
Shambles doesn't seem a strong enough word anymore.
-
Not got my season ticket yet either. Don't know what I'm going to do. Kick off is only 118 hours away.
-
aint got mine yet better get there fingers out the pie
-

Personally not worried about season tickets not arriving, I'm sure they will come. Not being able to buy away tickets on line is a concern though, and judging by the away sales so far, it looks like many people are having the same trouble.
-
I wonder out of 18K season tickets, how many have been delivered by now.
How many will arrive at their destination by Saturday morning, and how many will be late ?
It could be carnage on Saturday with potentially thousands of people trying to get into the ground without their ST and therefore needing to get a printed ticket.
#glasshalfemptyIcantbelievetheyleftitsolatetopostouttheticketsshambles
-
If they're not delivered in time, surely you should be blaming the Post Office?
Seven days is more than adequate.
-
Another day's post with no ticket
-
Was in the ticket office yesterday, they said we should all have them by Wednesday / Thursday
-
How many we sold? More than last year?
-
Why the hell did they change the ticketing system? The last one was more than adequate.

total shambles and they've had my cash since April.

About a month ago it was over 18,000. Sales had been up on the previous summer due to early bird, but then it looks like they plateaued.
-
Norwich home game now on sale - finally. Just got mine!
-
for anyone who has received the ST, did you have to sign for it or was it just posted like normal post ?
Thanks
-
No need to sign for it. Mine came today.
-
Cheers MFB.
-
Some bright spark has just posted their season ticket up on facebook, showing all their details on the back. They were advised to cover up the reference number, so they re-posted it covering up the seat number.

That is what fucks me off. The early bird pricing crap was first mooted at the back of that awful run that would have seen us relegated if it continued. Season starts on Saturday, no fucking season card.

I completely agree that it's a shambles but I don't see what difference it makes that we paid back in April. The season tickets could've been sent out the day after but they still wouldn't have been any use until Saturday.
-
my 3 dropped on the mat today didn't have to sign
-
Mine arrived today too!
-
Mines not made it this far north. Wildlings must have intercepted them.
-
No sign of mine as yet. Mind you it does have to travel a mighty 29 miles by Express Carrier Sloth.
Mine has to travel a mighty 29 miles by Express Carrier Sloth. Michael Palin is making a 26 part program tracking it's journey.

Mine's arrived
How do we think they're being mailed? Alphabetical order, client number order or by seat location
-
Not being done alphabetically I suspect. My surname begins with a 'B' and haven't had mine yet.

Me and the old fella's names start with A. In fact the old farts initials are "A A". we still haven't had ours. He lives in Mile Oak, I live in Tamworth. My ring is starting to twitch now :(

Renewed before end of last season but mine still hasn't arrived yet. Hopefull will come tomorrow but can see me phoning on Friday at this rate!

It's here! I'm part of The Pride apparently!

My wife and I are still waiting for season tickets and the parking permit for Villa Village disabled section.
I only have until tomorrow if I have to collect anything as I'm not available all day Friday.
The disabled liaison officer has been unavailable all afternoon so I'm waiting for a call back from here.
I'm not too happy at the moment
-
I know there's been lots of changes with the ticketing system, new club shop, new technology on the season cards, but for me the fact people still don't have STs a couple of days before the season starts, not to mention myself and others receiving this season's adult shirt without a sponsor on, smacks of the club trying to do too much too soon, and looking a bit amateurish as a result.
-
I renewed well before the season ended also and still no show. I'm away in Manchester for the Test Match tomorrow so wont know if its been posted until Saturday morning, poor show really.
-
Mine hasnt arrived, renewed in march
Its fine the club saying ring on friday along with a few thousand others that isnt going to end well

Its actually easier to get thro' to HMRC than the Villa ticket office at the moment.
The longest wait I've had this week for HMRC was 15 minutes. Normally I have at least one of over half an hour
-
Still no ticket; renewed it months ago. Have Tom Fox and Randolph Lerner taken over the ticket office? This Farago has their stamp all over it.
Is this the way to run a F***in Ball Room?"

I have visions of a pasting table outside the ticket office on Saturday, manned by a junior member of staff with a clipboard and a box full of season tickets in no particular order.

Blimey, your postie comes early. One day a while back, our postman came just as The Chase was starting.
I grew up in a row of old tinplater's houses right in amongst some factories (view of a paper mill out the back window and a factory that made pumps out the front window).
However, this did mean that we were included in the business post delivery, so received our mail around 7am.
I now live on a normal housing estate and post arrives mid-afternoon.

I still get my post between 9-11am.

Whey hey......mine just arrived !

I have to say, listening to the ticket office hold ditty on loop for over 40 minutes so far is a such great way to start the day. I'd recommend it to anyone.
-
Absolute fucking disgrace. Still no season card arrived, unable to contact the ticket office by phone but a recording telling you to contact them on Friday if still no ticket. The only bit them seem to have managed to get right is collecting the payments. I renewed months ago. What a bunch of fucking clowns.

None for me and I needed them by today. Oh hum

Yes. Whether you agree with them or not, the club is pissing off a number of season ticket holders which isn't exactly a bright thing to do.
-
It's all well and good asking ST holders to renew nice and early, take their money in March etc but to be still waiting for it 72 hours before the kick off is rotten.
-
just got mine - hugely relieved, but very unhappy that people have still not received them. A management clusterfuck.

Only 48 hours now and some people need them earlier due to going away at weekends etc.
Very poor from the club.

I tweeted the lack of season ticket (which I bought in May) and got the reply from a some bell end " what would you do with it in May ?"
It is really poor from the club, this ... I expected better from the current team !

I am popping down to attempt to exchange my lads Chester kit this afternoon and now chase my season tickets. I'll update later with the results. (Hopefully I will get a couple of temp tickets I guess?) be interesting to see how busy the office will be.

Agreed. Mine has turned up this morning but sending them out so close to the first home game - new system or not - is just poor. Feel for those still waiting.

Tell me what they've done right given that some season tickets have been paid for months ago and people are still waiting for receipt of these tickets and with our first home game just 2 days away?
-
The late show/no show of the S.T.'s and the subsequent excuses has all the credibility of the 'dog ate my homework' excuse.
We're two muppets who renewed at the first opportunity and the club has had the interest on our money since then. Still waiting...

-
My friend phoned and was told they weren't sure they would have them all out on time so were sending paper tickets out first class yesterday. Not sure if that's for everyone or just those that phoned up to chase.

-
Just arrived...thank f**k!
I'm off to see family today and will be taking them to the game from up their end so getting it any later than now would have been something of an ironic disaster...I'd have tickets for them but no season ticket for myself!
Why the f**k have they left it so late?
-
Is there no way we could piggy back on to this print@home facility for the first game?
-
Our's arrived today but it is a catalog of issues over the summer months. The Germany pre-season 3rd game was not greatly organized with the game being given a venue really late then cancelled then rearranged then the weather go it, some might not be Villa's fault but the lack of coordination between different departments in the club was very transparant .Those of us with flights and accommodation were left with little time to sort.
The kit was late as always but again a symptom of lack of organization.
The season tickets and online booking as we know is a ridiculous situation which leaves fans mad, phone lines rammed and casual fans and season ticket holders unable to get away tickets or more home tickets easily or without frustration. It should not be a chore to spend money at the club, they have made us work to do even the simplest of transactions.
Our 3 away scheme places I can only assume are ok. After my 35 phone minute wait yesterday all they could tell me was if they have taken the £25 per member fee that it should be fine, no confirmation from the computer system they have, so I can only assume it is not fully keyed in yet. They have not taken any money for tickets when others have already bought. So who knows if one of the major pluses of being an away scheme member is being kept i.e we get the most central and best away tickets and housed as a group as many of us have been doing this for years and stand with the same ones every year. They were even late arranging the scheme due to them potentially changing the rules but in the end not bothering.
As I said if it was one issue fine but it seems there has been multiple this year which a lot could have been easily been avoided
-
I do SO hope mine comes. The prospect of a Saturday without sitting in the Scheduled Ancient Roadworks previously known as A14 Girton to Godmanchester, the Spittals Interchange, M6 Js 5,6 and 7 is terrifying. Imagine having to sit at home in an armchair, enough alcohol to bath a small elephant and watch the Stewards' Cup at Goodwood. Doesn't bear thinking about.
-
Mines not arrived yet, if it doesn't arrive in time I'll be watching on the TV because I sure as hell will not be going early to queue as Saturday is going to be frustrating enough with the inevitable traffic chaos.
For me personally it can land in Saturday post but it is poor that everything is so last minute, they'd have been better off issuing paper tickets to all 2 weeks ago and then sending the season cards out all together next Monday ready for game 2.

Concerned Aston Villa fans have been given this season-ticket update
Thousands of supporters are still waiting for their season cards to arrive
ByGregg Evans
12:36, 3 AUG 2017Updated12:38, 3 AUG 2017
Aston Villa fans who are yet to receive their season-tickets for the 2017/18 campaign have been told to rest assured.
Over 3,000 season cards are expected to arrive on doorsteps today ahead of the campaign opener against Hull City, the club have confirmed.
Supporters have been concerned that their cards wouldn't arrive in time for the kick-off at Villa Park on Saturday but the club are working around the clock to get the issue resolved.
On the official website today, a note explained the reason for the hold-up in delivery, which read:
Due to innovative new technology contained within the season card, delivery has been late this year – we can only apologise for that, but there will be benefits to the new systems in place that make access to Villa Park a little more seemless.
For example, the season card is for a period of three seasons and can also be used to top up cash onto the card which can theh be used at any of the contactless payment terminals around Villa Park.
Some supporters who are yet to receive their tickets have contacted owner Tony Xia asking for answers.
He replied via Twitter yesterday with the following updates:
"As we initiated the new ST card&ticketing system, it maybe takes a little more time 2implement new system well.Thanks4ur understanding.
"We aimed to set up a new Villan online/offline system to provide better service by knowing everyone's needs more accurately&efficiently."
-

This was in a Tweet from Tone. Therefore, it could have been worse. It could have all been in algebraic symbols or emojis

"Innovative new" is a ghastly formulation as well.

Mine has arrived (well I haven't opened it) but something has landed. My biggest concern was having to cut short the pre match social to queue up for a ticket.

Pretty sure people text speak on Twitter as posts are limited to 140 characters.

Twitter has a 140 character limit, Brian, which means people get into habit of shorthand and abbreviations wherever possible. Slightly unfair to criticise on that basis.

The badge was threatening to poke through the envelope, resulting in the whole thing getting stuck under our door when I got home last night and me having to fight to free it (and get into my house!) Thankfully the season card wasn't damaged in the process but the pin on the badge was bent out of shape.

This makes no sense at all.
How does the club know who to send paper tickets to?
Are club saying that they still hold ST's that they have not dispatched and therefore know will not arrive in time?
How the frig will paper tickets get to their destination if ST's do not?
I sense a bit of confusion and disquiet will be in evidence on Saturday evening.

making the season ticket into a prepaid card as well just seems unnecessarily over engineered as why when you can use cash, your own credit / debit card and even your mobile phone would you use your season ticket to pay for stuff.

Well, it was the only method to purchase the beer. Several ways to fill up, but around the serving, that was the only method and speeds up the process.

Hell will freeze over before we find a way of getting served a beer without queuing for the whole of half time.

But that clearly isn't the case here otherwise only season ticket holders would be able to buy stuff in the stadium and that'd be stupid. So I still can't see why we have done it, it is making the club look amateur and can you imagine what it will look like in front of the Sky cameras if we can't get into the stadium because of them on Saturday

Perhaps it meant they were worried that their tickets WOULD turn up?

Our season "cards" came today along with our parking permit.
I don't know what all the concern was about, you need a little faith that's all

Apparently the last of the season tickets were posted today. I've picked up a couple of replacement tickets today from the ticket office. Thought they might be busy but it was very quiet indeed.

If you’re yet to receive your season card, don’t worry, they are on the way to you right now!
However, if you don’t receive your season card in time for our opener against Hull City, we have plans in place.
If you haven’t received your season card by the time you check your post on Saturday, first off, we apologise for the inconvenience this causes for you.
You won’t have to miss the game – just head to Villa Park to pick up paper tickets on this one-off occasion.
We have three dedicated windows for these season ticket reprints – they will be clearly signed and open from 9am.
There will be a separate queue management system and it will be manned by experienced staff.
Our Fan Squad will be walking up and down the queue to answer any of your queries as you wait.
Just remember to have your Fan ID ready for when you reach the window!
You’ll then receive a paper ticket and you’re ready to watch the boys in claret and blue against the Tigers.
Our advice is to arrive well of advance of 4pm to pick up your replacement tickets to avoid congestion.
-
I'd like to know what's so "innovative" about them.
-
anyone else still waiting - hope we get a free pint having to line up for a replacement brief on saturday
-
Oooh a debit card thingy.

yip im still waiting

So....it's so that you can build up loyalty points for buying beer and chips and things like that. If you buy beer with cash, or your own debit card, they will never know you spent money in Villa Park, but if you load that money onto your season ticket to spend it, then they will know you loyally buy your shit beer at Villa and they will award you points which make prizes. So - that was worth waiting for wasn't it?
-
Does anyone know if we still get 10% off in the club shop if you have a season ticket?
-
Got mine today but with my old seat details on. Bring back Nicola Keye!
-
Second division team, second division club. Must do better, Villa. Learn from this.

Does anyone know if we still get 10% off in the club shop if you have a season ticket?
Nope we've outsourced the merchandising.
-
So, if your ST hasn't turned up by Saturday morning you have to put yourself out by either making an extra trip to the ground to pick up your paper ticket or go earlier than you probably normally would to pick up a ticket before the game.
Also, you need your new 'fan ID'.
Has the club made it clear that this is actually your old client reference number? No, of course not.
But, as the club says, "don't worry".
You supporters just put yourselves out, to make up for the shambles the club has created.

After thinking about this I came to the conclusion that as we will be on TV so much the fixture card is incorrect more often than not. To get over this I have synchronised my phone/iPad from the official site. This then shows the most up to date info and makes the alterations when they happen.
-
It's 2017. Surely those STs that aren't being dispatched in time can be printed at home for the Hull game, just like single match tickets bought online? The biggest insult is making people stand in a queue (possibly in the rain) for something they may have paid for months ago. There has to be a solution that doesn't inconvenience the customer, surely.

It does seem really mean of the club not to insist on keeping the 10% discount when outsourcing it, even for PR reasons.
-
What a time to be our head of PR eh folks?
-
I know it's not a lot in the grand scheme of things, but if I buy my 3 kids, kits for Christmas, it's a big saving. Oh well at least I might get a free pie.
-
The least they could do is own up to the problems, not try to make it sound it was planned. Some people will have been paying for these since May, not good.

Fortunately mine has arrived today. I certainly would have been very unhappy if there had been a need to queue up on Saturday.
I feel that Villa should give a free home Cup match tckt to anybody who has to queue for their season ticket or even give them a free team shirt.
People should not have to re arrange their pre match habits due to rank bad planning by the club.
-
I have delivered plenty of those envelope with season ticket card probably about 15 in last two days and only one for Small Heath Alliance. Just to let you know it is coming.
-
My surname begins with O and I live in leafy cheshire so I'm not sure what that means. It arrived today.
My surname begins with B and I live in the very fashionable area of Duxford, still waiting...:)

Anyone who knows Ellesmere Port will know I was being ironic...its more of a north west version of Middlesbrough😂
That is quite unfair........on Middlesbrough.

I remember leaving my wallet ooop narf with my season ticket and any other form of ID the other year. They were very good with a re-print and took about 30 seconds.

Received mine yesterday.
Do they have to be activated in any way?
-
I think you have to remove them from the envelope.

Dalek Voice "ACTIVATE ACTIVATE"
sorry

Mine has finally tunred up this morning.
Fully expecting that the things wont work tomorrow and there will be bedlam at the turnstiles.
-
Does anyone know if we still get 10% off in the club shop if you have a season ticket?
Nope we've outsourced the merchandising.
So one of the few perks of having a season ticket has been taken away. This gets better and better.
They've taken away one of the other perks as well - AVTV match commentary, free in the past, now £3 a game or £45 for a season

Just arrived, with a badge which I won't use and some bumf about using it like a debit card which I won't use it for. I'm just glad to have it for its sole purpose.
Used on in Allianz Arena. Was quite handy buying beer - much quicker refills :)
making the season ticket into a prepaid card as well just seems unnecessarily over engineered as why when you can use cash, your own credit / debit card and even your mobile phone would you use your season ticket to pay for stuff. Also I can't see how it'll be any quicker then paying using your contactless debit / credit card.
Well, it was the only method to purchase the beer. Several ways to fill up, but around the serving, that was the only method and speeds up the process.
No
-
Received mine yesterday but with my old seat details on. So looking like I'm gonna have to cancel my plans for tomorrow daytime in order to get there early enough to go and sort it out, as can't get through on the phones at the moment. Absolutely useless.
-
My ST has arrived. Panic over everybody!
-
Oh FFS, how can I send mine back? 😉
-
Fully expect the moment i scan the card through the turn stiles, that i will instantly bring down the British Airways website.....
Bound to be a Cock Up at the turn stiles.
-
Picture the scene tomorrow afternoon behind the North stand....10,000 trying to get into the Villa Village trying to buy "Terry" shirts....another 15,000 trying to get their season ticket mess sorted.....
can only laugh at impending chaos that will unfold tomorrow......Happy Days Indeed

Why, what's a matter with the season ticket cards?
-
Why, what's a matter with the season ticket cards?
Who knows, nobody has tested them out yet have they?
-
Well i received mine but my son didn't....so lets just say he's not too happy having to queue to get a paper ticket...something tells me that alot of season ticket holders haven't received theirs either.
-

Its still just a bloke pressing a peddle though when the light goes green. Presumably they've practiced the light going green bit before.

Again, who knows what will happen? People are allowed to speculate, be pessemistic, make a joke (delete as appropriate)
-
Season ticket card what's one of them. Know I paid money in march for entrance to villa park yet to receive anything for it though
-
My ST has arrived. Panic over everybody!
Phew !

Mine just arrived. I heard a crashing in the undergrowth but before I could load my Holland and Holland with a couple of Kroenke endangered rhino stoppers a runner emerged holding a dark red envelope in a forked stick. " Urgent delivery from the North for you master" he gasped before collapsing from exhaustion. "Thank you Gabriel. Get Missy Green to give you a drink of water" I replied appreciatively.
-
Mine arrived today as well!
-
My passport to another 9 months of frustration has similarly just arrived.

I hope this really happened, Brian. I'd like to think so.
-
Let's hope it's better organised on the pitch to compensate for this less than auspicious start!
Face it: if this was happening to our benighted brethren across the city we'd be laughing our taters off. Along the lines of the club were doing everything to stop their fans having to watch shite.

Yer postie still has it in his post bag as he sips on his fifth pint in the Jawbone Tavern - you'll get it delivered about 11.30pm tonight on his way back home
-
Still nothing here, currently 2 of the 4 in the car have tickets, 2 don't - certainly will not be queueing so have tomorrow am's post or there will be 2 empty seats
-
Its a pain in the arse, but I'd still rather queue and actually be at the game than not. Each to their own.
-
I'd rather get what I paid for...this entire ticketing has been a farce and could have been easily solved by issuing all paper tickets for one game, particularly as the cards are for 3 years
-
You're not paying for a print out though. Nobody is going to dispute it's a pain in the arse, but you're only coming from Bromsgrove. You not cutting your nose off the spite your face?

lets hope steve bruce will jump in his car and go and see if its true if he hears that the gates wont open
-
Received my three this afternoon, saved a trip to the ticket office to get print outs in the morning
rather than having to que before the match. Let's hope for a great end to the day tomorrow.
-

Same here - ADULT card received today but YOUNG ADULT card not received - if it doesn't arrive tomorrow we will be watching on TV - not queueing an hour on M5 then 2 hours in queue for ticket and then hour plus again after game with Spaghetti closed. 4hrs plus travel time to watch 90 mins of a nil-nil bore draw!
-
Arrived today. Have to say I wasn't looking forward tolining up tomorrow hoping it was all going to be okay.

I live just over 3 miles from Villa Park, yet I'm waiting for this morning's post for something I bought weeks ago, on the day of the first fixture.
But hey, don't worry it's on the way!
Pathetic.

So, if anyone gives a shit, been down today and they forgot to send the renewal form off.
Fucking clueless.
-
I received two yesterday and I haven't even ordered one. Although it's very much the postman's fault rather than Villa's. Now delivered to correct recipient!
-
Never in doubt just landed through my post box. Beats a day trooping round the Asda.
-
Does anyone know anything about how to activate our cards so we can use the cash on them?
-

The club are announcing how you do that sometime next week I think. You just use it to get into the ground today.
-
Spent a good part of this morning trying to get through to the ticket office to upgrade my lads under 21 season ticket to an adult one. However once through and without any prompting or suggestion from me they upgraded without any charge as I had waited so long. Fair play but I would like to think that this sort of routine procedure can be done on-line in the future. Also a small investment into call queue technology so the caller knows what position they are in and likely time to wait may be a good investment.
-

You say that now...
-
Went down at noon no queues, got our tickets and a free pie and a pint voucher.
-
Received mine yesterday. Didn't work at the turnstile. I changed seats this year and I haven't got the one I thought I'd got. Plus the usual dopes pulling the pints. A bit of an omnishambles for me so far.
-

Personally I would rather drive round Switch Island for 90 minutes than watch that shit Bruce serves up :)

It's not even an island!

Reading the other post about the chap who was a bit miffed that he wasn't asked by the club if he wanted to move to the back row of the Holte, it got me thinking about how much shit the ticket office staff must have taken over the past few weeks. I think a pat on the back is in order for those to bore the brunt of it on the phones.

Of course, they are not to blame, but what a mess eh? Got mine and my lads (under 16) the week they came on sale, and his has not come, very poor
-
Used to be able to get through on the phones within a few minutes, if not 5-10 minute wait max. Tried this morning and just got engaged tone and now am waiting 30 minutes. Only want to ask about car park season tickets. Either they have less staff on or each staff member is struggling with the new system so it is taking much longer?

Our car park pass is for Villa Village and cost £150.00
Obviously I don't know about availability but they always seem to have places available in the Majestic Car Park/Away coach parking and Yew Tree School car park
-
£5 gets you a secure parking spot on the old Osram site on Tame road - it is an official manned car park also
And if you are driving away from the city you can get away pretty quickly also
-
I paid £119 for a season ticket in the United Reformed Church in Upper Sutton Street. Supervised while we are at the game and guaranteed a parking spot whatever time we arrive. A short walk but we pass the cars queuing to get away.
Countrywide Management Solutions 0121 356 9489 have this and other sites. Phyllis is great and very efficient.

Free match day parking at Star City if you don't mind a 20 minute walk.
