Post by: cdbearsfan on May 04, 2017, 05:57:05 PM: I wouldn't be surprised if it was overlooked. The internet was in its infancy then and football wasn't as all-encompassing as it is now. If he didn't get an obit in the national press it might have been missed.

It was certainly missed by me. I only found out he'd passed away after reading it on here.
