If the "source" is the Small Heath Mail, I won't lose too much sleep.

Not sure about January but didn't the 'cash' last summer come from a loan from HSBC?

No point putting a link then changing it, buddy. As no one will be able to get on it.
Unless, of course, it's my tablet. Then I retract this statement 😊

Sorry, there's just not enough information to comment on this thread. The links don't work so just who has said what?

I think it's an automatic word filter on here.  Annoying.

Aston Villa have refuted claims that Dr Tony Xia is considering putting the club up for sale.

There were rumours in the national media today that Recon Group, fronted by Xia, are looking for investment in Villa - but the club has since moved to deny those claims.

Dr Tony Xia
Xia bought Villa from American tycoon Randy Lerner in June and has since ploughed almost £80million into the club to fund 17 signings in just two transfer windows.

Chief executive Keith Wyness, appointed by Chinese businessman Xia upon arrival at B6, labelled the rumours 'absolute rubbish'.

Regardless of whether it is correct or not, how does 'looking for investment' suddenly jump to 'putting the club up for sale'.

That'll be due to the 'magic' of Talkshite: & the torrent of unsubstantiated cobblers that's spouted 24/7 by all & sundry.

It's a word filter built in to stop links to that paper, given its propensity to slag the Villa off and try to undermine us by, for instance, talking up the possibility of our best players leaving and slagging off suppprters for invading the pitch while ignoring opposition fans ripping out seats and throwing them.

It's still annoying as it just makes people curious about what the article is. For future reference it's better if the OP just quotes the whole article to avoid people having to provide their rag with clicks.

I am hurt but nothing you can't fix by buying me a lemonade in The Bartons Arms on Sunday :)
