Just listening to LBC and JG has been identified as a certain Premier League manager that said inappropriate comments to a female journalist.
Does anyone know anything about this??
-
Wasn't it Moyes?
-
Yep:

No, they bought in a journo to talk about dealing with managers and Vicki Orvice or something piped up that JG said something inappropriate to her years ago.
Didn't know whether anyone could shed any more light
-
It wouldn't surprise me if it was true, to be honest, considering some of the things he's said in the past.
-
Ah, fair enough. See what you mean now! My mistake.
-
Is it Point Out Offensive Things Said By John Gregory month or something? Grecian2000 hasn't had a look-in on H&V for months (years) and suddenly his name is up in lights twice in a week.
-
No, but it would be the least surprising thing I'd ever heard.
-
I can certainly see him doing a "make us a cup of tea love" type joke.
-
I will always have a soft spot for Gregory, but he was, erm, "old school" in the extreme. A bit like Ron, sometimes you just have to accept that some people are a product of their times, and move on.
-
Water under the bridge.....move along please nothing to see

I think so. I think it's only a matter of time before someone brands him the most evil person alive, kind of an Adolf Hitler / Peter Sutcliffe diabolical hybrid that should be burnt alive.
-
Mind you for inappropriateness we should perhaps have a look at Big Ron.....
Winston Churchill,
Duke of Wellington etc
Some people need to get real

But Hitler had some good ideas...

I still think he's a prick for retweeting Tommy Robinson.

Most definitely! And before anyone starts, I am a big JG fan. My initial post was to see if anyone knew anything about it.
-
Unless, as is entirely possible, he didn't know who Tommy Robinson was. What was the Tweet?

Amount of fucks given: 0.

That reminds of the old expression "I couldn't give a tinker's fuck" which was tinkerist, I suppose.

Monkfish!

Amen. I love John Gregory. I'm not going to castigate him for something I barely know anything about. As an aside, there's a youtube channel who did a series on interviews with him (and others including Sir Brian Little and Ian Taylor). His humility really shone through for me. He lived the dream and he seemed to know it. We can be quick to knock people down sometimes.

John Actor!

Perhaps he thought he was retweeting Tommy Johnson...

Hello John, welcome to H&V
