Always seem to be entertaining games against them at VP.

Last 3 I think have been 2-2 (comical Warnock OG), 3-2 win and 3-3 (Benteke hat-trick).

Will be goals for tomorrow night certainly. After what I've said on another thread I wouldn't be against us going 1 down. And then coming storming back with three second half Kodjia goals to win 3-1.

Would be nice to put the half-arsed manager who used to be famous in his place, but their form is pretty good at the minute so I'm going for a draw.

I'm more worried about getting home after the game - looks like the M6 north is due to be closed again at Junction 7, so to get to the M5 I may have to go via the Soho Road. Bandit country.

5 wins at home in a row? Potentially 5 home clean sheets in a row? Must be dreaming, I fear the worst. Heart says 1-0 Villa.

Suppose it depends on Hogan's fitness, but I would go back to the 4-3-3 formation tomorrow with the following team:

                      Johnstone

Hutton      Chester      Baker     Taylor

                       Jedinak

           Lansbury        Hourihane

Adomah            Kodjia               Amavi

I go Aston Lane, Wellington Road, Church Lane and Oxhill Road to get back to the A41 & then M5 at Jct 1

M5 Southbound will probably be shut as well from the M42 to Worcester

Surely Andre Green is way above Grealish now and he should start tomorrow down the left - rest of team same

Afraid Jack needs to move on in the summer as I can't see him reaching the expectations at VP - the only question is what is the fee ........ I can't see us getting anywhere near what people might expect

Why sell him if we'd have to accept a fee below expectations?  He's not had the season we all hoped but I just don't see the point in selling him right now.

I think the issue is why you would refer to the Soho Rd as 'bandit country'?

I live in Winson Green and Soho Road is a rough area, I think that's generally accepted. Versus somewhere like Sutton, for instance. I'm not sure why you'd make more of this post than you have to?

Villa 2-0, by the way.

It seems strange that someone would make an issue of hoping they can drive down Soho Road unscathed. I've driven, walked and waited for a bus there after the match hundreds of times without a problem and I've never heard of anyone doing the same being held up by bandits.  In fact, I've always felt safer there than in a lot of supposedly better areas.

I just think the comment "stay at home if your so worried about it" was uncalled for. Personally I live in Nechells so I do know about rough areas lol. I'm going 3-1 villa. Can't make it myself so that should guarantee a Villa win

Lest we forget that Villa Road comes off Soho Road so rather than Bandit Country I would think that 'Land of Wonderment and Mystical Kings' was more appropriate. After all I was born there as well at Number 19 ( though shamefully the house was knocked down several years ago).

Wasn't Soho Road once home to the Fun Spot amusement arcade? There were plenty of one armed bandits in there. May be the reason?

Funnily enough, I've just undertaken an extensive number of measurements (via google earth & a sheet of paper) and can confirm that the start of Soho Road is closer to VP - as the Crow flies. Thus, 'Bandit Country' (i.e. Boggy Country) starts a little further up the road.   8)

ps Since we're on a winning streak, I've made the ultimate sacrifice for grabbing 3 more juicy points. Yes folks, 'tis another score draw prediction from me. UTV!

Hope I don't jinx it, but gone for a home win tomorrow morning. 2-0. Kodjia and Adomah the scorers. It's gutting to think that just one win each of our two sticky patches could have had us in within a sniff of the playoffs.

My good mate here is a QPR supporter, so looking forward to rubbing his nose in it.

From the Birmingham Mail

Aston Villa fans have been warned there will be a closure on the M6 following tonight's match against Queens Park Rangers.

Supporters leaving Villa Park following this evening's Championship match have been advised of that the motorway will be closed northbound between junction 7 and junction 8.

Villa's police liaison officer PC Stu Bladen said: "Fans travelling home tonight after the game via M6, Northbound J7-J8 will be closed. Spread the word
 please folks."

Fans are advised to follow the diversion signs or take an alternative route.

Any news on Hogan's injury status?, Sky saying Gabby & RHB not to be considered for tonights game, which was pretty much a foregone. Last report on Hogan was 2 days ago with Bruce saying they were going to assess his ankle in 48 hours. Either way, I doubt he will be considered. I think that,  at best, if fit, he'll start on the bench and play part of the game............Godzvilla!
