I expected tickets for this game to appear for sale on Pravda/People's Daily this morning.
Its only 17 days and there's no other aways on sale
Has anyone heard when they'll be on sale ?
-
It is taking an annoyingly long time, I was hoping to get them booked so I can get cheaper train tickets.
-
We'll get 5400 if needed, so you may as well chance your arm with the train.

I booked my train yesterday. £22.00 return from Brum with Virgin. I'm on 15 aways so I know I'll get one.
-
Which station is best? Wallgate or Northwestern?

OK cheers. Will have a look when I get home.
-
Which station is best? Wallgate or Northwestern?
They're opposite sides of the road from each other
North Western is 100 yards closer to the ground at the most
-
I remember them being close. I will just get whichever is cheaper then.
-
Phoned TIcket office earlier they said on sale tonight after 5pm for 13+ ways, although still nothing on official site or on line ticket page
-
Full allocation of 3200, no more will be made available to us. Don't know why we've got a reduced allocation when the stand holds 5000+?

There's a Banks's pub right outside the station as well. Had a few in there at about 10am on the Sunday morning, when we played up there last.

Where you got that from? Ridiculous if true.
Preston were given 4,700 and they are, nominally, a rival.

3221 according to the os with no more available
-
As it isn't officially on the Ticket News section on the OS, I'm hoping that's not accurate.
I can think of no possible reason why Preston would be allowed 1,500 more tickets than us.
Has anyone ever sat in the home end there? If so, which stand would be safest?

On a few occasions. How many rows would you like?
For clarification that is r/oe/s not r/ow/s !
-
The best home stand is the main stand sat there end of season game the year Wigan won the FA Cup and went down. Ground is safe as houses. £25 if you pay in advance - can print off paper ticket or £27 on the day. The stand you want is the one which shows hospitality
-
I'd like the emptiest stand. I expect there will be a few but which is the emptiest?
Is hospitality stand more expensive?
Cheers for replies, btw.
-
Perhaps Wigan have forfeited the game now they've seen we're surging up the table.

No they have a set price for the stadium. Good Weatherspoons by the Station and you and pub crawl to the ground 15 mins walk

The only thing I can think off is that the police have put a block on it..did we misbehave last time we went there?
-
We let off more flares than you find Albion fans wearing in the Brummie Road End.
There was also a few hundred Villa in their end as a result of them limiting our allocation last time (YouTube it, it's funny).
Stupid allocation.
-
Preston and Newcastle both had 4,800 in recent months so why we only get 3,200 is something Villa or Wigan should explain. If it is because of previous behaviour, then make it clear that this is what happens if fans misbehave.
And why has the sale and allocation only been announced less than 3 weeks before the game when EFL rules state away clubs must order tickets 5 weeks before and be supplied them 4 weeks in advance.
By the way, anyone who misses out, you can buy them in the Wigan end on the day for £27 easily enough (providing you use a bit of common sense).
-
I assume Tottenham had their allocations cut after hitting a linesman with a flare?
-
Anyway still hopeful of getting the required tickets but will go home end as a last resort.
-
Same here cdbullyfan need 2 tickets but lapsed season ticket holder so could have done with the normal allocation
-
I'm sure I read in the Aston Villa Away Fan Consultation Meeting that they were giving us 4800.
Didn't Wigan mess us about a few years ago on the last game of the season only giving us 3k, and then giving us more only when they were officially relegated?

Dave Whelan didn't want too many Villa fans there, creating an atmosphere and lifting the team's spirits. The daft old twat. At the time you could get an executive box at Wigan for £60 and I think a few Villa fans took advantage of the deal. This was the Petrov mask game.
-
I've emailed Wigan to ask them to explain the ticket allocation.
-
Yet to receive a response, but our local police were under the impression we would have a full allocation, too.

Hopeful that it's all a cock-up.
-
3200 is only the initial allocation. We can have the other 1600 if needs be.
-
That's not what it says on our ticketing site. May well be an error.
-
Yeah perhaps a copy over of information from the Huddersfield game where I believe they made the same comment about us not receiving any further tickets.
AVFCsupport on Twitter have confirmed it's an initial allocation and that we'll be entitled to 4800 if required.
-

Pravda/People's Daily is pretty blunt in its wording........ Full Allocation: 3,221 Tickets - No further tickets will be made available to us.
Given that WMP were expecting the full 4800 and that's what other teams have received, its all a bit odd
-
🎟️avfc support have tweeted
's for @LaticsOfficial (A) now on sale.
Note: This is our initial allocation & could potentially rise to 4,800.

Any update on sales?
-
3200 almost sold out. The club have requested more tickets and are waiting to hear back from Wigan. Announcement in the next couple of days.
-
Seem to be going a bit slower than games earlier in the season.
-
3200 in a week isn't bad for a side that's won away 4 times in nearly 2 years and I don't think it's reached general sale yet.
-
3200 is a lot to shift in a week.
-
Great result for them last night 😀
-
3221 sold out. We've received another 1000 tickets.
-
So does anyone know what the selling criteria is today ? I cant get through on the phone and the ticket site on line says I cant purchase - I have 2 booking refs but am not a season ticket holder currently.
-
I think it's currently at ST holders. I assume it will drop to general sale soon.

From PRAVDA
Tuesday March 7 at 5pm/Wednesday March 8 phone or in person: On sale to 2016/17 season ticket holders.
-
It is weird the way they have 2 train stations so close to each other.
Whichever one we got off at last time, was further away from the good pubs.
-
It is odd that they both survived the Beeching Axe while heavily-populated areas like Moseley and Kings Heath didn't.
-
Available to season ticket holders at the moment. Will go onto general sale in next couple of days (according to AVFCSUPPORT twitter), pending availability.
-
Has anyone received their's yet? I'm getting a tad antsy.
-
No, not received ours either.
-
They post out the away scheme ones towards the end of the week.
-

We had the maximum 4,712 according the website and yesterday's programme, so there won't be any more if they've gone.

Good.

4712 sold out.
-
Any idea of nice pubs that won't be rammed with footy fans? Be nice if they had Sport on too :)
-
Anybody on enroute and have a spare....my daughter now wants to come
