I've never done this before but might have to tomorrow - how feasible is it to get a cab from the ground into town after the match (given the reluctance of cabbies to get stuck in post-match traffic)?
Will be with work people so want to avoid buses / train and can't drive.
-
I've done it occasionally - never pre-booked and don't know how that would work but there are always a few black cabs lined up under the bridge walking back towards Aston station / Lichfield Road (although there always seem to be more when I don't want one - but that's the universal situation with cabs everywhere I guess).
Might be worth getting out promptly (even a couple of minutes early if the result is in the bag) to increase your chances

I have booked for 45,mins after the match, and had a relaxed drink in the Hole suite to wait for the crowds to disperse.
Very easy.

I did it quite easily, two home games ago. Was walking back towards Aston station and several cabs were driving towards the ground from the station, past where the Adventurers used to be. We hailed one by the police station.

There are usually cabs in Nelson Road but I think that they're pre-booked
-
If you walk past the Trinity Road side there are usually a load of black cabs at the side if you walk up a few hundred yards. You might need to leave early to be sure of getting in one.
Failing that, the best suggestion is pre-booking (which admittedly may be tough as you don't know how much injury time will be added) or, as suggested elsewhere, going for a drink or two and ordering a taxi from the pub.

As above ...
Go right out of Trinity Rd gates & there's usually a string of black cabs 100yrds or so up the road.
