Well, I'm on a roll so...
-
Went to game at Bristol and played them off the park until they turned it around.
Villa win.
-
Flying back for this one from Cayman with a Bristol City fan so hopefully a thumping home win with the Holte in good voice. If not, I'll just have to rely on keeping him quiet with the grandeur of Villa Park as he's never been before.
-
Went to the game at Ashton Gate and I'm going to this one. Please, no repeat of what happened in August. Another grinding one nil to us I think.
-
Another clean sheet 0 :0
-
Same again please 1-0 and boring as hell.
-
They will be on a high, we are still unconvincing. Draw. 1-1.
-
2-1 Villa
-

Throwing away another lead means they'll be on a high, but us actually winning doesn't?
-
City can definitely score goals when they want. Obviously they can concede plenty too.
2-1 to us with squeaky bum time lasting from 75 minutes on.
-
We'll shit 'em. Us 2 Wurzels 0
-
I might even come to this. There, I've put the kiss of death on it.
-
2-1 win.
-
Another routine home win
2-0 Villa
-
City to get a thumping after the team finally gels over a game of bowling on Sunday evening. Following this, we go on a 65 game winning run straight through the Play-Off final, Premier League title, European Cup and Super Cup.
You heard it here first.
-
Is Hourihane back for this one ? (was he injured or banned on Sat?)
If so, I'd go with the same lineup apart from Hourihane replacing knucklehead Bacuna and possibly Jack for Albert
-
This is it. The start if the roll. 2-1 them.
-
They're 4th from bottom and ended up drawing at Newcastle after being 2-0 up after 20 minutes so their confidence may be a bit shot. Hopefully Hourihane will have got over his dead leg and can replace Bacuna in midfield. We need another win so we'll probably draw.
-
Always tricky trying to second guess Bruce when it comes to team selections. Something out of left field seems to happen most games. If he suddenly and randomly reverted to 352 and had Elphick back in I wouldn't be surprised any more. However, on the basis that our heroes finally won a game on Saturday I suspect he will show faith with most and start with something resembling the Derby starting line up. Hourihane back in after recovering from his dead leg, and Jack back in for either Adomah or Green, neither of whom shone v Derby. I'll go for Green standing down, so:
Johnstone
Hutton Chester Baker Taylor
Jedinak
Hourihane Lansbury
Adomah Kodjia Grealish
Subs Bree Gardner Elphick Green Amavi + 2
Surely enough there to find a way past Bristol City
-
3-3
-
A morale boosting 3-0 win. Lansbury will break his duck and Bristol City will be lucky to get nil.
-
we get the early goal, and it will be Glorious,
we don't , our crowd gets wanky and we will struggle.
Villa 5 bristo ooooooooooooo
-
I'm going for a 1-1 draw.
-
Hope CH is back for this. Same team as yesterday bar bacuna. I'd keep Hutton as he doesn't deserve to lose his place at the minute
-
We'll shit 'em. Us 2 Wurzels 0
In fairness Pete and Tommy are getting on a bit now, so they're not as quick around the park as they used to be. I was at school with John the drummer's daughter and he was at school at the same time as UKR Sr, so he must be pushing 80

Love it! My kind is positivity 👏 ..... you might want to place a small bet at extremely gargantuan odds ?
-
Either 1-0 or 2-1 to villa with a terrible last ten minutes.
-
As unchanged as we can possibly be after the win, so probably just Hourahane for Bacuna.
1-1
-

Our strokers to become strikers.
-
Someone's due a good hiding. 5-0 villa. Now,where's my tin hat?
-
We really need to win this, should not be looking over our shoulders in the last couple of months of the season.
-
2-1
Lansbury and Kodjia to score.
What should've been a routine win turns into squeeky bum time when they score in the 83rd min.
-
A shit game but another win is my prediction. 2-0 to Villa.
-
2-0. Kodjia with both
-
We don't tend to create much, so it'll probably be a scrappy, arse-clenching 1-0. I'd fucking love it though - two wins on the bounce?! Unheard of. :P
-
2-0 and the tide slowly starts to turn. We are better then them, individually and eventually as a team. Off back of a win, albeit a scrappy one.
-
0-1 or 1-2.
Not confident at all.
-
A shit game but another win is my prediction. 2-0 to Villa.
I'll go along with that but think we'll smash them and they'll feel delighted to have go off so lightly. We just need to match them with hard work. After that, the class will shine through.
-

We really do. Two wins on the bounce and we've got something to build on. Another setback after winning Saturday would be a blow.

In terms of a left field suggestion, I think Gardner could come back in. Has picked up some minutes lately. Maybe a diamond 4 in midfield with Lansbury advanced and Grealish up with Kodjia.
Adamoah is likely to be dropped but to be fair it's difficult for our wide men at the moment with Kodjia in the form he is in and our fundamental weakness persisting in the middle of the park forcing them inside a lot.
Ideal game for the opposition mind, we have a number of likely starters that will struggle to see out the game given the lack of posession on Saturday. We will need early positive substitutions.

I would stick with the formation in the OP and the only change I would make is Green for Grealish. We need a bit of pace on the attack and I think Green needs to be given a run.
-
A grinding win Saturday was of course just what we needed, but I'm still not convinced after seeing us have 29% possession, a stone wall pen decision go our way for a change and a pretty mediocre display all in all.
Just getting ever more frustrated that with the set of players we have, he can't get us set up to take some of these teams apart... it'll be much the same set up tonight and every game. Solid, deny space, try and nick a goal, then defend the lead. We really should be better than this after the investment made and the amount of attacking options to hand.

Are you suggesting we'll be more tired than a Bristol City side had only 7% more possession than us and had to travel to Newcastle and now Brum? I bet Newcastle put them under the cosh a bit more than Derby did us too. Our game was like a training session most if the time.
-
Bristol were under the cosh pretty much all game according to their supporters. I'm not sure how tired you can get watching a magician like Hughes play lovely square balls.
-
In the spirit of things, I've had a punt on a home win. Fuck knows what will happen.
Come on Villa- believe and get the win.
-
I think 1-0 to the Villa.
-
We must continue to build on our momentum, and prove that we can look competitive against other teams.
2-1 Villa, Kodija and Adomah to score.
-

Bloke near me on Saturday was eulogising over Hughes and how he never gave the ball away, all I saw was a player passing it sideways an awful lot, granted better than some of our recent players have managed but I really didn't see what the fuss was about.

First half draw and Villa win sexond. Kodjia to score winner. Cumon da villa

Same here. Its easy to pass the ball backwards or square. A bloke near me stated loudly how we were getting out played. I made an equally loud remark that Derby's play hadn't actually saw them force a shot either off or on target.
Apparently Bent having an appeal for a penalty constitutes dominating games according to Scheteve and some on the Holte End.

True. Only Derby player that impressed me was the stocky number 7.
-
If it carries on snowing they'll all have white hair tonight.

My son pointed out at one stage how long Derby had been in possession of the ball during one spell and when they lost the ball they were still only just inside our half.

That aye snow, it's wussy sleet.
-
We haven't gelled yet : 1-1
-
Somebody from here on Facebook and friends with me's mate, I think, is a Bristol City fan. He swears that we are going to spank them.
1-1 with a formation less organised than the Price Waterhouse envelope department.
-
I think we might actually win this one comfortably. As Jedi builds up fitness both the attacking midfield and defence will be able to play better as they will be under less pressure.
Kodjia will want to score against his old club, and I can see Lansbury chipping in.
2-0 to the Villa.
-
Since my arse seems to be permanently covered in splinters these days (!), I've gone for the draw.
1-1
-
1-0
Chester to score the winner again

Hughes played a ball through to Bent that just needed a touch to score, the kind of thing he used to do for us week in, week out but fortunately he's not the same player. Other than than, despite all his skill and technique, Hughes was very tidy but preferred not to get too involved in the game. The number 7, Russell, was powerful and never stopped running. Reminded me more of a rugby league player, built like a brick out house. Hutton had his hands full but did a great job on him.
-
With respect to those that have commented on Derby just playied the ball square, can I add that we ourselves have been doing that for ages. Mr Westwood, now departed to pastures new, was a prime example!!!
-
The team talk for Bristol will be....get in their faces..give 100% and the chances will come especially in the last quarter of the game. !!! I think the chances of us giving anyone a spanking in the near future are remote. Just hope we can struggle over the line again tonight but i'm not convinced we will.

I don't know why but I'm really looking forward to the game tonight. I still think it will be a 2-0 win.
I'd like to see and end to one half good, one half crap even if it means just being decent for 90 minutes. With the quality we have, just being decent should be enough secure the 3 points and put our relegation worries behind us.
-
Can whoever starts the P-MT's please make sure they include the date and time of kick-off. (Not you Redsox ;))

Tuesday 28.2.17
KO 7.45pm
-
I can see tonight's game being pretty much the same as the Derby one . We manage to nick a goal and then defend it all costs I will go for a scrappy 1-0 with Lansbury scoring
-
3-2 to the mighty Lions. Recovering from 0-2 at HT, Villa put City to the sword with a second half of bewildering attacking play, culminating in a 'classic' hat-trick from Alan Hutton, the first with his right, the second with his left and hat-trick goal with his nob.

Is the game on Periscope?
I know it is pissing down but I am not expecting to need one of those.

Is the game on Periscope?
Well, there's enough rain falling on North Brum at the moment for a submarine to be a good idea

We'll fuck the fuckers 1-0
