No, I know HDE left some time ago.
I noticed that the home Dugout has been switched back to the North Stand side of halfway again.
Anyone know when and why?
-
It was mentioned elsewhere.
Originally changed by Lambert so he was nearer the home end - changed back by Bruce because he saw it as bad luck. He might be correct.
-
Originally moved by Lambert to mirror the arrangement at Dortmund.

I heard Lambert quote that he changed the dugout because he couldn't believe that when he was there with Norwich the previous season, he was able to "get into the linesmans ear"
I wasn't sure why Bruce had changed it back

No-It was so he was nearer the linesman.

And moving it back for "luck" is?
-
I don't believe in luck. I do believe in people believing in luck, and 7 points out of 9? Sign me up

I can't argue with that and it's fair to say that we rode our luck in the Wolves game.
I must confess though, being the shy little bunny that I am, I would prefer to be "in the linesmans ear" all game. It's horses for courses I guess.
-
Crikey, imagine Lambert's unintelligible ramblings "in your ear" for 90mins whilst you are trying to concentrate!

Train station or airport?
-
The linesman thing doesn't irk me too much but I liked the other way round better so the subs warm up by the Holte End, makes them easier to boo.
-
we've also seemingly done away with the pre match huddle as well. i'm on board with that decision as well.
-
I moved my seat last season to be nearer the bar.
-
It's so Brucie hasn't got so far to walk!

I want them to do a haka even if it means Baker gets injured...

See also playing Tuesday midweek (instigated by Alex McLeish).

I thought it was O'Neill who switched the dugouts around at about the same time the away fans were moved but I might be confusing the two.

He was a very clever MoN.

I still can't get used to it.

I'd love us to change back to Weds
-
For the life of me I canoe remember the original dugout switch

Given all of the other days/kick off times, I'm past caring.

I did the same to be nearer the loo.
-

Yes. We always played midweek games on Wednesdays. That's what big clubs did while likes of Small Heath played on a Tuesday.

I think it was John Darwin's idea
-
For the life of me I canoe remember the original dugout switch
Our results went down the river with it.
-
For the life of me I canoe remember the original dugout switch
We were definitely up the creek without a paddle until BFS arrived!

Collar and ties in The Witton Lane Stand, furled umbrella in the dugout - always classy in B6! Actually it's not really a dug out -it's a bench against the wall. I do recall that the manager etc did sit on that side but within the stand at one point before switching to Trinity Road side.

Checking Dr Tonys tweets.

My grandad God bless him used to sit in the witton lane stand and always wore collar and tie
-
This explains why I thought Steve Bruce had gained some height and a suit at the weekend.

I was sitting a few rows back from the bench and, if memory serves, Mike Ferguson , who hadn't exactly played a blinder , came off. As he approached the bench Tommy Doc applauded him but , as Ferguson was sitting down , TD looked up at the Crowd and theatrically raised his eyes heavenwards, brought roar's of laughter from those who saw it , a typical 'Doc' reaction.....can't get over the fact that I spotted myself in the crowd in that exact spot, just after Villa scored their winner, this one's a ' keeper ' !.....Godzvilla!
