In 2006, who among us would have believed that by 2016 we would be in the second division, owned by a Chinese man called Dr X, and with Steve Bruce as manager?
Where will we be in 2026? Your predictions, please...
-
We'll be shit.
In 2026 and for the rest of time.
-
20th in the Intergalactic 3rd division and planning for Mars Rovers away. We'll draw 1-1.
-
In the Premier League but with perhaps a bit of a yo-yo in the intervening years.
We won't have won a major trophy in that period.
Playing for us will be a local lad who was initially the next big thing. He got cut a lot of slack when the adoration rather went to his head before he hit 20. He's now castigated for everything he does as he sits on his £5million-a-week contract.
The North Stand won't have been redeveloped.
Dr Xia sold us to another Chinese consortium and we're now owned by some shady Sino-Arabic leisure conglomerate...
... but all is not lost, as a cryogenically-preserved Doug is still chauffeur-driven to every away game as we await the bio-technology necessary to bring him back to life and lead a takeover.
You won't be able to walk down Witton Lane without a virtual holographic Dave Woodhall trying to sell you a digital publication.

Struggling in the 4th tier with Gabby still under contract as manager .
-
Vying for top spot in the top division.
This will have nothing to do with quite a few English teams being in a European league instead.
-
Getting used to New name West Midlands Villa following the Meltdown of The whole league Structure. Sky stopped their support
earlier, leading to collapse of Premier league and multiple bankruptcies. The 92 league teams have been replaced by 16 franchised regional teams in two eight team divisions I up 1 down we are in the top flight.

Out of business and shut down hopefully.
Tens of thousands of us are richer and living happier lives having the opportunity to spend more time with our families between August and May.
-
We'll have finally won the FA Cup again. Yippee!!!!!!!!!
-
Still awaiting our first away win in nearly 4000 days. Grealish will be photo'd asleep in a gutter somewhere in benidorm, still waiting to fulfill his potential and Tshibola will have just celebrated playing his 100th game for us. Gabby will be fitness coach. We will be on our 22nd different manager, having gone through everyone and anyone who had managed Albion or the Rags in the previous 10 years.

Who knows what tomorrow brings
In a world, few hearts survive
All I know is the way I feel
When it's real, I keep it alive
The road is long, there are mountains in our way
But we climb a step every day (or draw again)

Dwight Yorke still won't have got a managers job.

Tony would have fulfilled his promise getting us back in the premier league at the second attempt with Bruce. But being the shrewd business type and with the astronomical TV rights moneys, he sold us a year later for £100m profit with us being safely mid table.
We were bought by an American consortium as by then it would be almost 3 pounds to the dollar and we were promised a five year plan....

It will have been discovered that the Chinese consortiums that took over Villa, Albion, Wolves and Blues are all the same person, who turns out to be the leader of the Triads. Never the less, he is allowed to continue and merges the clubs to form West Midlands Alliance Athletic, and installs Diego Maradona as manager despite the fact that he's ballooned to over 35 stone and has a cocaine addiction. Nathan Baker has improved as a player since his lobotomy several years before and is now captain. Grealish is amazingly still being picked despite being a bit shit and being in the papers for a variety of offences over the years including GTA, arson, tax fraud and cottaging. We are 2 places above the relegation zone in the 3rd tier.
-
We'll go again
-
We'll have been the biggest club in the world for five years, and will have dominated football during that time. Villa Park will hold over 90,000, and the waiting list for season tickets will be upwards of 250,000. Meanwhile, Blues fans will continually be heard saying, 'It ay fair....', as their takeover resulted in the closure of the Sty, for Dr Tony to continue his regeneration project.

I hope he doesn't darken my doorstep. Can you choose another place that has a unfairly poor reputation.

We'll still be having our weekends ruined.

Well 10 years ago bouremouth and Swansea were in league one and Burton non league .Brentford relegated to league 2 . Huddersfield league one. Leeds getting relegated from championship to league one and forest league one. So all these teams made some sort of progeess but really I think villa will be on par with Southampton who 10 years ago were not in top flight. And what I mean by that is they will be stable and consistent top 8 performing team in top tier . We also have a lot more pull than villa so top 6 or even top 4 is possible. The reason say that is the ambition of owner and size of club . Within 10 years the basis will be there and solid foundation. The off field business side of things will be good and the on pitch team as long as promoted will be a force . I don't see many other clubs having want villa have and already see a demise in Chelsea and villa will be up there along with traditional clubs like arsenal everton along with regular clubs like man utd man city spurs liverpool. However I wouldn't be surprised to see Southampton in next 3 years achieve champions league football.
Villa could really achieve anything in 10 years to sumarize as long as things get going really no limit with the Dr and how he wants success.
-
Still in the Championship. Made the play offs 4 years ago but didn't make it to Wembley.
Now owned by an alternate Chinese consortium as are most English clubs.
Managed for the second time by an ageing Steve Bruce. "We'll ge it right this time" he says.
-
Ten Years After....mmmm...marvellous.
-
Gabby will be player manager...
-
Cheers guys, I'm nicking this for next month's article!!! I BAGSEYED FIRST, SO THERE!

In ten years time my lad Charlie will become our youngest ever first team starter at 16 and something or other days. After a stellar first few months he will be rewarded with a 90 grand a week contract and pay his agent (me) a ten per cent bonus of his signing on fee.
He will be given a 5 minute cameo by England just after turning 17 to make sure he doesn't represent the footballing powerhouse of Malta and will have 8 children by 9 different women.
Or we might just be bobbling around on mid table in the top flight with Charlie sat next to me and looking increasingly bored.

We still wont have adequate full backs
