TAXI!
-
F**k it
-
What a fucking disaster
-
It's back folks:
Boot, face, forever!
-
It's not over yet.
We could still win....
-
Please sack this clueless 'tactician' now. 1 shot on target, 5 forwards, desperation.
-
New new lows.
-
Useless.
-
:(
-
Considering the level of opposition, today is right up there with the worst performances of recent years. Second best the whole game in every department. The last half hour was a disgrace. Absolutely zero effort or anything, not one player seemed bothered, we just strolled around like it was a pre-season friendly we were winning 2-0.
The most expensive set of attackers in the history of this division. We have 2 shots on target and one of those is a saved penalty at the death.
Totally unacceptable.
-
Didn't think it could get any worse .
I was clearly wrong.
I don't think we're good enough for the Championship
-
I hate to say it, I could see this all along which is why I stayed off here when I got shot down for rubbishing his appointment.
Act now. Warnock in for the rest of the season. FFS we are a third of the way through and will be relegated again if this continues.
-
Sack him immediately.
-
-
Please sack this clueless 'tactician' now. 1 shot on target, 5 forwards, desperation.
was that the pen
-
and we continue our plight.
A 4-1-5 Plan B to beat Preston is a joke. Throwing every forward we have on the pitch is a joke. Not scoring a goal with said forwards is a joke. Our defending is a joke.
The idiot said we'd finish in the top 6.
-
soon as the game finished - I put the cd on in the ghetto blaster
first song
Nothing has changed by David Bowie
-
It's back folks:
Boot, face, forever!
Please, someone, just make it all stop. Please, please, please.
-
He's got to go. Shown himself to be totally clueless. Get someone in who knows what they're doing, doesn't play Westwood, and looks at the formations that produced 20+ goal seasons for Gestede, McCormack and Kodjia and play to their strengths.
-

This Jedinak fella who it seemed most thought was the player we were desperate for, had anybody actually seen him play or was it because he has a beard and looks tough? I can't say I've ever noticed him when he was at Palace and always thought he was a centre half, Palace saw us coming I reckon.
-
Dr Tony went to Preston
In a Petrol tanker.
Grabbed Roberto Di Matteo
And sacked the useless wanker.
-
what worries me is RDM will go and Clarke will take over and I think he has been utter useless too
-
Out, out, and thrice OUT!!
BOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO
-
WM: it's not a happy ship. Understatement of the decade.
-
The embarrassment doesn't end ......
-
do people think the players we bought are over valued shit or have we turned them into over valued shit?
-

he was really rated at Palace , they said he is just what we need and will get stuck in
we seem to make all players go shit .
-
Unacceptable. Fuck off RDM.
No fucking about...Dr X needs to pull the trigger now and bring in a manager that knows what he's doing.
-
Got myself mentally prepared in the Summer for a difficult struggle where the team would need backing by us fans to be successful, not pretty I reckoned but a job to be done.
I never expected this...
-
Yet another weekend ruined by the Villa.
Make it stop.
-
I am not that surprised, the idea that you can change ownership, management , squad and attitude in one summer is unrealistic.
Some of the players bought are obviously not up to the task. The management team are struggling to cope.
This is how bad a state Lerner left us in.
Hard to see how we will recover.
-
Surely this will bring to an end the latest risky managerial appointment at Villa?
-
Get Steve Bruce in from Monday. Sack RDM,Bond and Clarke tomorrow morning!
-
Dr Tony drove to Leamington
and went and took a punt
on an italian called Roberto
who managed like a c@@t
-

I did say the day that they gave him the job, I wondered who was advising the new owners on footballing matters because as appointments go it was as far left field as it gets. His record so far has been nothing short of appalling. He has to go now. Anyone but him; from Warnock to Big Sam, nobody can be as bad.
-
gollam might be owed an apology at this rate
-
do people think the players we bought are over valued shit or have we turned them into over valued shit?
We've bought some shit tbh. Elphick and Jedinak have been so bad, Gollini is too inexperienced to be Number 1, overpaid for McCormack too.
-
He's had a dozen games. He is absolutely no closer to knowing his starting 11 or best formation, than he was on day 1.
We are actually getting progressively worse, game by game.
He is totally fucking clueless and has to go NOW!
-
This Jedinak fella who it seemed most thought was the player we were desperate for, had anybody actually seen him play or was it because he has a beard and looks tough? I can't say I've ever noticed him when he was at Palace and always thought he was a centre half, Palace saw us coming I reckon.
The thing is though he was trying to play midfield on his own (covering for Westwood in first half and literally by himself in second). Last season some of the flak aimed at Gana and Sanchez was because they were having to cover for Westwood and making errors in doing so.
-
So fucking fed up of us being shit. We've won 4 of our last 51 league games covering 3 seasons.
-
Stand by for a PNE supporter popping in, roughing our hair and telling us how to lose gracefully.
-

They are not struggling to cope, they totally and utterly shit, making mistake after mistake. Any other profession and they would be toast.
-
PNE fan in peace here...suck it up motherfuckers!!
-
Use to see McCormack scoring for fun at Leeds and Fulham and think wish we had him at Villa .Of course he comes to Villa and he can'nt get in the team and you just knew he would miss the pen .I am starting to think there is a curse on us
-
what was wrong with Tish today?
-
So fucking fed up of us being shit. We've won 4 of our last 51 league games covering 3 seasons.
Its takes some serious effort to be that shit for that long. Impressive in its own way
-
Someone make it stop.
-

To be honest, had we scored that pen, the scoreline would have flattered us immensely.
It's hard to fully explain how disgraceful that performance was.
The total, utter lack of drive, energy or fight in the second half was just staggering to watch.
Di Matteo clearly totally, totally failing to motivate the squad.
-
Stand by for a PNE supporter popping in, roughing our hair and telling us how to lose gracefully.
This is nothing to do with how well Preston played but more to do with how incompetent our manager appears to be and how very, very poor some of the players are.
-
What really annoys me it that even if this fucker get canned , he still get paid a lot of the supporters money in compensation wages. Its like getting robbed twice...first we pay to watch that "effort" and then we pay him again at the door as he leaves.
Hope Tony fights him in court cause what happened here today was criminal...anyone on the stands today wouldn't screw up a selection this bad. No one is that useless unless he deliberately trying to lose.
-
Dr. Tony went to Rome,
In a Ford Mondeo.....
He needn't have bothered.
-
To be fair, everyone who saw the team RDM picked called it long before the game even started.
How come envy other team seems to play with passion, pace and urgency?
What is it about wearing Villa colours that turns people into walking zombies?
-
Maybe those motivational videos RDM "asks him" to send aren't really doing the job.
-
Dr Tony, sort this mess out soon.
-
I am not that surprised, the idea that you can change ownership, management , squad and attitude in one summer is unrealistic.
Some of the players bought are obviously not up to the task. The management team are struggling to cope.
This is how bad a state Lerner left us in.
Hard to see how we will recover.
While Lerner left us in a terrible situation, it's not his fault RDM has bought poorly and seemingly is unable to manage the team that should be more than good enough to be in the top six.He clearly is unable to get the players to play to any plan or strategy and the buck stops with him. He's had the money and used it poorly in some cases and it;s down to Dr X to grasp the nettle before the season destructs completely.
-
Daves headline for monday .DEPRESTON NO END
-
Tony needs to send him a truly motivational video outlining how he came to run the largest monosodium glutamate company in China.
Who could fail to be uplifted by that?
-
Maybe those motivational videos RDM "asks him" to send aren't really doing the job.
If he was any good he wouldn't need to Paulie.
-
Sir Brian to take over anybody?
-
Poo
-
Tony needs to send him a truly motivational video outlining how he came to run the largest monosodium glutamate company in China.
Who could fail to be uplifted by that?
Definitely get the taste buds going...
-
Last season we had woefully inadequate players , this season some decent players who are woefully underachieving. The responsibility for that lies with RDM.
-
Sir Brian to take over anybody?
God no. I love Brian but his day as a manager was nearly two decades ago.
-
Maybe those motivational videos RDM "asks him" to send aren't really doing the job.
If he was any good he wouldn't need to Paulie.
Can we get an actual manager next. No more former pro's living off their playing career or a random foreign or.
Someone who actually gives two fucks would be nice! Dean smith for me. Or Gary Rowett
-
Tony needs to send him a truly motivational video outlining how he came to run the largest monosodium glutamate company in China.
Who could fail to be uplifted by that?
Maybe the motivation could be that one of the key ingredients used in production is former failed employees
-
One win in eleven. That one win being against the shittest team in the league.
Bizzare team selections and blatant failure to respond to the oppositions tactical changes.
Apparent shortage of fitness of the players coupled with an obvious lack of motivation and effort.
How much more evidence does anyone need that this prick isn't good enough?
Champions league winner, my arse. He was a puppet instated to give power back to Terry and Lampard.
Fuck him off and get Fat Sam while we still have enough games to rescue this season.
-
The only way Lerner can be implicated is because he put us where we are in the first place.
But, this absolutely, total and utter shambles is fuck all to do with Lerner.
Had we got 25 points in the bag by now would any of that be down to Lerner,? No, of course not.
The fucking mess is totally down to the ****** representing us now.
-
I was all for giving him time but now I don't think Di Matteo actually knows what he's doing. We've bought almost an entirely new team of proven players and he's steadily turned them into shite.
-
5400 there today was it? So another two away games with a total of 9,137 away fans in attendance to watch 20 minutes of decent football and one point.
-
We got off lightly with it just being a 2-0 loss.
Most of the squad is dire, no skills whatsoever. Ayew and Grealish need dropping, turning up for 10 minutes here and there isn't acceptable.
Midfield is laughable... any professional club could give us a shoeing! We are in big trouble.
-
what was wrong with Tish today?
RdM kept him on the bench to make sure he didn't get injured before the two week break followed by his suspension against Wolves
-
Right think carefully. Can anyone remember signing a contract in blood for a guy holding a fork? It would have been at least six fucking years ago. >:(
-

I thought we bought well in the summer - still do. But he keeps sending out sides that are unbalanced. He is one option short in midfield and we needed an experienced competent keeper.
I think he shows a lack of respect for the teams we play. He thinks we can just roll over sides by playing all this attacking talent but you've got to win the battles first and we're not doing that.
I am usually one of the last to want a manager gone but it feels like he's not going to turn this round. With the two week break, there is an opportunity to take that step if he can get Steve Bruce who feels like the only realistic target at the moment.
It's all really desperate given the lengths the owner has gone to get the right back up structure and personnel in place.
-
what was wrong with Tish today?
RdM kept him on the bench to make sure he didn't get injured before the two week break followed by his suspension against Wolves
You barstard, CJ. I shouldn't be laughing this soon after a shocking Villa defeat.
-
In the heat of the moment after a defeat that is as bad in its own way as any in the last few years it is easy to get carried away slagging off the players, but we do have players of genuine ability who should be tearing up this moderate, mediocre league. The fact that they aren't, and that they look disorganised and dispirited and shapeless - and getting worse - is the direct responsibility of the manager. It's only 11 matches played, but that's more or less a quarter of the season and we've only managed one victory - against the bottom team. That's beyond pathetic. Get rid of RDM now. It's not too early. If we could get someone in who could organise and shape a team and instill it with some spirit and pride, we might, just might, salvage something from this season.
-
It'd be interesting to see what the result of an RDM In/Out poll would be after this latest pile of steaming wotsit.
Edit: I see one's been added now to the 'If Dr Tony Pulls The Trigger' thread - & it currently stands at 100% OUT.
-
We all saw what was needed in midfield and nothing was done, in fact we have procrastinated for years in trying to get an effective group of midfield players. I'm beginning to think Ravel would have been a useful addition
-

Had we got 25 points in the bag by now would any of that be down to Lerner,? No, of course not.
The fucking mess is totally down to the c***s representing us now.
of course a lot of it is down to Lerner, he left us with a relegated squad full of overpaid destructive players being led by the useless Black.
People under estimated the task to end that and we have gambled on players and management team.
The gamble has not paid off and we are fucked.
-
Dr Tony went to Rome
Driving like a trucker
Bought us back a manager
A useless, baldy, fucker.
-
I hope the fans gave him some stick at the end.
-
Get bruce in and be done with it. At this stage anyone has to be better than this clown. Id say the players are fed up with his suck it and see tactics.
Not knowing your best formation and team at this point in the season is just poor management.
-
A fucking blind rugby fan with no interest in football could tell you a midfield of Westwood and Jedinek will not fucking work. There is nothing there ,in fact I am struggling to understand what in the fuck Palace fans saw in Jedinek because he is shit.He can't run he can't pass but hey he has a beard so woo isn't he great
The thing isn't for me we need some kind of miracle worker in now because as shit as RDM is at tactics etc his purchasing is going to leave a legacy of shit.At the very least the whole midfield needs a rebuild and I'm not sure Gollini or Elphick are up to if either
-
32 is the time when a lot of footballers legs go, and Jedi condition will not have been help by sporadic use last season.
it looks like we have bought him just over the cusp.
-
Here's hoping the Torygraph have got RDM on camera taking bungs, chucking a dwarf, slapping a toddler, being racist, smacking a secretaries arse, just anything to get him gone.
-
On my way back from whatever that was meant to be from our team.
Defense a shambles, no midfield, no threat at all.
Special shiteness mentions to Elphick, Westwood, Jedinak and Kodija. The others were also shite but these four stood out for me.
McGeady, Johnson and Robinson tearing us apart.
Villa fans singing "You're getting sacked in the morning".
Please just make it stop. It hurts too much.
-
RDM will be on the blower later like "We're only four wins away from the playoffs" NO moron.... we're only one loss away from the relegation zone. :-[
-
32 is the time when a lot of footballers legs go, and Jedi condition will not have been help by sporadic use last season.
it looks like we have bought him just over the cusp.
Yet he was MOM in his last game at Palace.
-
Its still early days. New owner, manager and squad. We are not going straight back up and anyone who thought that was being naive in the extreme. However, I do think that by now the team should be starting to work together on the pitch and not being a group of individuals with no clue of what to do with the ball and certainly not showing any sign of fight whatsoever
-
Huddersfield made it 8 wins in 11 this season. We have to back 59 games for 8 wins, the 4-0 at Sunderland under Sherwood a year and a half ago.
-
32 is the time when a lot of footballers legs go, and Jedi condition will not have been help by sporadic use last season.
it looks like we have bought him just over the cusp.
Yet he was MOM in his last game at Palace.
which is not really relevant.
-
I am generally optimistic and prefer to point out the positives, there were no positives.
RDM your time is up.
-
He has nothing to offer now. We've gone from unlucky, to getting single points which were probably deserved on balance, to being shit. The trend is downwards, as is our league placing. Get rid and bring in Potatohead.
-
Dr Tony went to Rome
but now with no delaying
drive Him back,get someone else
to get these fuckers playing!
-

Well it is, the point being, surely you can't turn to shit overnight

The point i was trying to make is that some players hit a wall and others experience a slower decline. I hit a wall at 33 and whilst i continued playing it was quite a dramatic change. If you talk to ex players they have different rates of decline. I also found that i had to play to maintain match fitness. Jedi is 32 and spent a season not starting regularly.
-
I'd love to know what Clarke is thinking, I'm sure he has footballing brain.
-
I've just realised that in the last 24 months we've won 11 league games under 6 different managers (including caretakers).
-
Dr Tony watched the game
In his rumpus room-o
Sprayed the walls with piss and shit
blood and bile and spew-o.
-
Just back at Liverpool for the ferry home.
Today was absolutely horrendous and RDM has to go. We've had some shockers in recent years but Westwood and Jedinak in the centre of defence were a disgrace. I don't really know where to start with how bad we were. No decent defenders or midfielders, no tactics and no idea from the useless ****** of a manager. Quite what the formation or tactics were supposed to be second half, god only knows.
Pathetic from start to finish.
-
Thing is I could only casually follow but I knew once we went one goal down we'd lose and that tells you all you need to know. I hate football and I hate what a pathetic, weak club Aston Villa has become in the last 5 years.
-
Dr Tony went to Rome
In a Hillman Imp
Brought us back a manager,
This useless fucking gimp.
-
Iv'e seen nothing so far from Elphick that tells me he's this 'leader". It's not enough just banging your head against the post before the game. Not once did I see him tell someone what to do or gee them up today. Ain't good enough.
If players are on the bench then they must be fit enough to play so why wait till were two down to bring McCormac on? Then play him in midfield. And don't get me started on Jack 'do my legs look smooth enough' Grealish.
PS - angry
-
I never want to see JG in a Villa shirt again. A monumental tosser of Ireland-like proportions but without even that tool's modicum of talent
-
So much for all the 'leaders' on the pitch. Elphick is completely shit and about as inspirational as a wet sock. Jedinak is even worse.
-
I think the fans were quite right to sing sacked in the morning and not fit to wear the shirt today. That was disgraceful from the team.
I will give it to Ayew that he tried - didn't get far but tried - and Gestede who did the best he could with what he had. He also stood right in front of us clapping as deserved abuse was thrown at the team and in turn got applauded himself. Also nice of Johnson and the other lad to come over at the end to applaud the fans.
Other than that, Jedinak is wank and Westwood was Westwood. I await Dave's musings on it all because I'm too tired and fed up to say much else. Our fans are too good for these players.
-
Piss awful. The second half lineup was Sherwoodesque in its desperation. I know we should be setting our sights higher than seeing the Small Heath game as anything other than just another game but there are no set of circumstances that I want that man picking the team against them. None at all.
-
Hate to say it but I think he's got to go, right timing aswell with an International break. I wanted to give him time but he got no reaction from the team today and lost the away fans, once that happens you're done. Tactically he is lacking but the players have left him down aswell. So called leaders who cost big money and are on big wages have been nothing short of pathetic.
I shudder at some of the names being said on Twitter though. Steve Bruce is an ok manager but I can't stand him and can't imagine seeing that big fat head in our dugout every week. Pearson who has been excellent at Derby this season... Sherwood is the one that gets me, some people slating RDM for his tactics and then saying they want Sherwood back. Mental. The options aren't great. Whisper it quietly but I think I'd take Rowett from the unwashed.
-
Where are RDM's post-match quotes?
-
Huddersfield made it 8 wins in 11 this season. We have to back 59 games for 8 wins, the 4-0 at Sunderland under Sherwood a year and a half ago.
Huddersfield also completely rebuilt their team over the summer. Only difference is they spent less than £2.5m.
-
Just got back.
Two things to say about the play:
1. How is it that we have three speedsters up front - in Ayew, Adomah and Kodjia - and then play tippy-tappy in defence / midfield? PLAY TO STRENGHS, YOU IDIOTS.
2. How is it that the defence remains so uncommunicative, poorly organised and bereft of common sense? We gave both goals away so poorly that I fear for our C'ship status.
A couple of weeks ago I said: give Clarke and RdM until the end of November. My view is now is that they need to go so that we can start a proper re-building process sooner rather than later.
-
I remained positive through all these draws and point thrown away while we were at least creating chances and outplaying teams for large chunks of games, hitting the woodwork and losing late goals. It looked like it was just a question of time before our luck turned and everything clicked. That positivity has now been more or less eroded. RDM might as well be shorthand for RanDoM because that's what his selections and tactics look like. We're now losing without doing the right things, which can't go on.
-
Whisper it quietly but I think I'd take Rowett from the unwashed.
In a heartbeat.
-
Well that was as bad as anything last season, if not worse. I think I'd sack RDM just for picking Westwood alone. He should never kick a ball for us again and if I had my way the manager would be sacked tonight. I'm sick of the state of this club. Just sick of it.
-
Whisper it quietly but I think I'd take Rowett from the unwashed.
In a heartbeat.
I'd take Nick Berry!
-
Where are RDM's post-match quotes?
..anyone?
-
I feel desperately sorry for Tony Xia but RDM was his choice as our manager.
-
I've been saying give RDM time but he's lost my support after today. The starting eleven was bizarre, and he's clearly not learning anything from match to match. It's as if he's just throwing pieces onto the floor hoping they'll form themselves into a picture.
Next
-
That was the shittest performance I've seen in years. RDM has to go.
-
My mood wasn't the best when I got to the game. The traffic lights and roads in Preston are as bad as I remember and it took me 45 minutes to drive the last two miles.
-
Absolute fucking filth.
Abysmal does not cut it.
To get brushed aside by a long ball fucking pub team.
Where the fuck did the ghost of Lambert come from? 1 man in midfield? The immobile constant giver away of the ball Jedinak?
The first goal was so poor. Lazy after you defending instead of somebody taking control and clearing into a channel or long. No, we feed it through to them on goal.
The second. The second. The fucking second made my piss boil. Ashley Westwood you useless fucking little ******. I want to put my hand down your throat and have a good feel to see if you've got a spine so I can rip the flimsy thing out. I hate you Westwood. I fucking loathe you. You are beyond awful. You fucking half a shadow of a player. Fucking resign and retire from the game you chronic little bastard. Fuck off out of my club that you've disgraced with over a 100 appearances. Just fuck off.
The last 20 odd minutes were a joke. Not one fuck was given. It doesn't help that the balloon of a manager sends them out Bradford style with a 415 formation, nobody having a clue where they're playing, nobody in position, no method or means of how we break them down, no tempo or movement or urgency, just an amturish mesh of forwards.
Sack this twat now. We are in a relegation battle yet again. Shameful.

Beautiful. I'm going to make a flag with that on.

Shameful.
Fabulous rant. Absolutely outrageous and absolutely justified!
-
As soon as I saw Westwood in and Tshibola left on the bench I knew we'd get beat. Totally predictable. Fuck off RDM!
-

Absolutely this
It was utterly fucking obvious what was going to happen the minute he named the side

I assume we were resting Tish for the two week break...
-
Just saw the highlights.
Jesus Christ are we poor. The first goal makes me angrier than the second. Whoever played that ball back (Jedinak?) needs a week off. The second goal was classic Westwood, just get lost.
Unbelievable how bad we are. Absolutely imploding.
-
Its gone way past frustrating now. How can he not see how shit the midfield is & that we need an extra man to help out, every week is the same. I work with a load of smug Brighton fans, another fun week ahead, wankers!

Yep. Their right midfielder destroyed us down our left side every time as well.

Arseholes everyone involved bar the Doc.

I thought it was Elphick, but both were as bad as the other.

It was Jedinak

fucking hell.

It isn't particularly about that. It is more about how gutless, demotivated, inept, clueless and rudderless we find ourselves yet again. I'm clinging to the hope that Dr.T won't tolerate this shit, whereas Lerner could barely give a fuck, the gormless twat.
-
I'm a remainer - but, it's getting close to "arrivederci"
-
Well those still waiting for us to click had better brace themselves for a long wait. That today was a team lacking just about everything you need to win a match. I won't bother listing them, you know what they are. I actually found myself stood there laughing at just how bad it was.
I'm afraid that today was the tipping point. No way back. Clueless.
-
Just saw the goals on SSN...
What the flying fuck was Jedinak doing playing a defence splitting pass for their man to run onto inside our box?!
How much of a pussy is Westwood?! Loses possession instead of playing a simple pass, stands around waving his arounds doing the international distress signal, doesn't track or challenge the runner from midfield after he fucked up and makes a pathetic attempt to block the shot. What a complete and utter wanker. Also worth noting...where the fuck was Cissokho because there's no sign of our left back making any attempt to track back and get back in position?
-
Even the Coppers are taking the piss out of us now..

Don't worry. In a week or so's time we will see pictures of the players in training on the OS 'looking determined' ahead of the Wolves clash.
-
what was wrong with Tish today?
RdM kept him on the bench to make sure he didn't get injured before the two week break followed by his suspension against Wolves
Ahh good thinking, then he'll have had an hour in about 2 months and can use lack of match fitness as the next excuse.
-
We can analyse all we like - we know we have a poor d fence, no midfield, no width and a piss poor formation. Problem is RDM and his team are blind to it.
-
Don't worry. In a week or so's time we will see pictures of the players in training on the OS 'looking determined' ahead of the Wolves clash.
The OS is referring to us as The Claret and Blues yet again. Is there any chance they can get fucked too.
-
I must say I was so disinterested after PNE scored early that I, having other things to do, did't follow the match. Depressingly I didn't expect us to do much about it and how depressing that it turned out to be the case.
Sorry Dr Xia you may be a Billionaire but you fucked up big time appointing this muppet as out Manager.
-
If we were 2-0 up at half time today, we'd have still drew or lost, we didn't look like we could even be arsed to attempt to try and get back in it, that is unnaceptable.

Please sack this clueless 'tactician' now. 1 shot on target, 5 forwards, desperation.
This is exactly what Albion fans warned me about!
-
5405 travelling support - magnificence in a sea of shite
-
Abject
Stupid formation, stupid selection, ridiculous substitutions. Team looked half fit and like they couldn't give a shit.
Jedinak awful, Elphick awful, Westwood awful, Ayew awful, Grealish awful.
The best player on the pitch was signed for 50k from the Villa.
-
Don't worry. In a week or so's time we will see pictures of the players in training on the OS 'looking determined' ahead of the Wolves clash.
....and looking happy. Don't forget the lads will be in "a happy positive mood".
-
We need a big personality with experience who commands respect I fear to stop the terminal rot. We also need 11 players on the pitch contributing, there's too many fair weather players. No backbone. Id be selling Ayew and grealish in January I think they're both fair weather pap who spend 90% of games missing, we are just used to seeing talentless shit like Hutton and Westwood every week, take a look at honest pros we've co.e across they e put in a shift and contributed to the game, ours haven't.
-

Say Goodnight Gracie.
-
I honestly felt after the last few weeks that today had become a must win game. Sad to say now is the time to pull the trigger.
We're not even playing well anymore. 1 win in 11 (12 if you include the LC) and getting worse.
-
Don't worry. In a week or so's time we will see pictures of the players in training on the OS 'looking determined' ahead of the Wolves clash.
That'll make a change from everyone standing around pissing themselves laughing. Like every single training photo shoot for the last 5 seasons at least.😉

I really rate Hughton, but I'd be very surprised to see him drink from our poisoned chalice, even if Dr X promised a mahoosive pay-rise to leave BHA. I have a strong feeling that Mr H will review his options at the end of this season - although the way things are going down here for him, I reckon he'll finally get Albion up this time.

Yes he does. I bet he knows a way around signing players outside Transfer Window.

This was a proper game where we were outbattled and outrun from start to finish. I feared this would happen at the start of the season but so far at least we've been in the majority of games. Not today.
Woeful stuff against a solid team but who will probably finish bottom half. One of their players cost 50 grand aswell in case you didn't know....
I'd have sacked RDM on the spot for playing Jedinak and Westwood. Assumed Tshibola was injured again but to see him warming up at half time...words fail me.
As annoying as he was Pearson pressed from the first minute and Johnson provided the mobility....Jedinak and Westwood didn't want to know and were next to useless as time and again those two ran at our back 4.
Nothing in attack again...barely a shot on target.
You could understand this happening at prem level but for us to be this bad at championship level....I really don't think there should even be any debate about RDM being sacked.
We have two weeks to sort this mess out.
-
Didn't even know we missed a penalty until now...battery on phone died at kick off and left on injury time.
-
Left the house at 7-30 this morning just got in after a 560 round mile trip to watch that pile on f@@@@ Ing shite
When those players walked out and seen that end packed out again with over 5000 of us then that should of been the wake up call to get this season started but again so many have been let down by so few.
this club is the equivalent of mug punters going into a used car lot and coming away with a pile of crap that some slimey salesman has fobbed us off with.
What does Adomah give us that Andre green can't ???
Same in jedinak and joe Lyden
Elphick stop kicking the bleeding post before a game and kick there forwards
Westwood if you have any pride leave now
Ah well as the Cleveland Browns fan said after his rant see you all next week

I think you are right, and your first paragraph worries me the most.
Ads has has pointed out on numerous occasions that teams have stood off us early on, afraid of what our firepower on paper might unleash. Grayson had our measure, and most teams will now go for the jugular from the kick-off.

Charming.

@PNEPolice 5405 #avfc fans at Preston today.....safe journey home....think we'll be seeing you next season if you stay up 😉

Can we sign an emergency midfielder or two? Someone out of contract? Or do we have any decent midfielders in the stiffs or the kids?

The kids must be shit if none of them are better than Westwood, I'd rather have an empty fag packet drifting around the pitch.

fucking hell.
We could be down in the Midland combination if it still exists and probably be nearer the bottom, we are that bad as a club now.
I concur with others....spent a good minute just chuckling out late at that rant by Ads at Westwood. That should've been the last game he plays for the club but he'll be first name on the team sheet v Wolves...don't you worry about that.
-
I still cannot believe he rested Tshibola today when there is a two week break coming. The excuse is that he has three games in seven days. He only played half a game against Newcastle ffs. His tactics, the way he changes formation so often in games gives me a feeling that RDM isn't in control of things. He has an air of calmness on the surface but seems to be acting in desperation underneath, already. Not a good sign.
-

And I think Tish is suspended for the Wolves game anyway.

Yes but we will need to appoint Sam or Harry first as our Manager. They both know how to get around rules and sign players.
-
I can't believe how bad that was, it was just woeful from start to finish. Four strikers on the pitch in the second half smacked of desperation. Jedinak and Westwood put in a midfield performance a Sunday league pair would have been ashamed of.

I was underwhelmed at the appointment of RDM but he was the one Dr Tony wanted and I thought that relationship would work strongly in our favour.
It has become pretty clear to me that although RDM may be a fave of the good Dr's, he has no idea how to select, set up, or direct a team how to play effectively/successfully. He looks calm and confident, but I honestly think he has absolutely no feckin' idea what the feck is going on or how to do anything about it. Proof? Today confirms what many of us feared about some of his other weird and wonderful selections.
He's got respected and experienced coaches looking after a group of proven Championship players...and they are producing shit.
As many others, I'm not one for sacking managers after a bit of a bad run, but RDM seems to have shown that he clearly has the high quality material but absolutely no idea how to use it...aided by Clarke and Bond...apparently "respected" (good?) coaches.
I would go for Hughton, Dean Smith or Rowett...I don't want any of the same old same old names that get trotted out on here ad nauseam....most of whom would see it as an easy pay day provided by a desperate AVFC.
We were easily outplayed by Preston today...easily.
It's broke.
Feckin' kix it Doc!
Please!
-
Watching the Preston forwards swarming into space around our back four was depressing. Watching us lose every single 50-50 without a fight just as much so.
Di Matteo got the full "You're getting sacked in the morning" treatment, and so he should. He has spent loads of money, ostensibly to build a side which he could do something with, but it's clear that any success he has had has been built by others; he has no idea what to do with the players he has bought. He's absolute shite. When we were under the cosh in the first half, he sat down in the dugout for about 10 mins - no idea what to do. Bracket him with the likes of O'Leary.
-
That's "Feckin' FIX it Doc!" btw!
-
Still angry.
I see a lot of Preston, and the fans will consider it a good season if they finish a point above relegation. They totally bossed Villa today, and none of the team looked arsed about it. Not one player looked bothered, or fit. Not one player did well.
There is something seriously wrong with the manager and coaches, not one of their players would get anywhere near our squad, FFS their two best payers are Villa cast-offs.
I have spent all afternoon being wound up by my PNE supporting in-laws, and just hope that Dr Tony doe the right thing and fires RDM first thing in the morning. It has to happen, he has lost the fans now.
-
Whilst Di Matteo should rightly shoulder the blame for today, the players shouldn't be let off the hook. They owe 5,700 fans an apology as well.
-

They continue to be a shambles. No matter the management. No matter the owner. No matter if we spend 10 million, 20 million or 50 million in a window. Same shit different day. What on McGrath's green earth do we actually have to do to halt the demise of the club? It just seems like there's no way out.
-

Watching the highlights is quite sickening. Jedinak's set up for their forward to score...FFS we know he is slow but what's wrong with his eyes? And how slow was Elphick in turning and covering? Westwood's shameful effort for their second is deplorable. You lost the ball weasel now try to recover it rather than prancing about and then setting off on a slow run where our former youth player made up 20 yards and got ahead of him to the loose ball. Too many shit players not giving a shit!
-
Jedinak should understand the limit of his talent and look where he's fucking passing.
-
Whilst Di Matteo should rightly shoulder the blame for today, the players shouldn't be let off the hook. They owe 5,700 fans an apology as well.
More than that, the home stands had a lot of Villa fans in them. There must have been 200 Villa fans in the Tom Finney stand where I was.
-
Yes, it was player error that cost the goals today.
But I'd also argue that there is clearly no team spirit in the Villa side. They don't fight for each other, there's no urgency in their play and little coherence. It is very much a collection of individuals.
I look back to when O'Neill took over from O'Leary - with pretty much the same team that Dolly left - and put some steel into the team. Made them hard to beat - committed and hard working; aggressive. Not to say that we need O'Neill back, but those qualities can be extracted from players by the right manager.
My point is that Di Matteo is not the man to do this job and he never was.
-
Lowlights (http://www.skysports.com/football/preston-vs-a-villa/358237)

This Jedinak fella who it seemed most thought was the player we were desperate for, had anybody actually seen him play or was it because he has a beard and looks tough? I can't say I've ever noticed him when he was at Palace and always thought he was a centre half, Palace saw us coming I reckon.
No one mentioned him until w were intersted....a player who was good at one club ( maybe) but could never be the same somewhere else......him and Westwood...wtf....!!!! Pissed up and pissed of !!!!

Thanks for sitting through that Mr O & describing the abject deeds of those abject tossers. I stopped watching MOTD nearly a year ago for obvious reasons - & I've quickly boycotted C5's effort in a bid to save myself from additional torment. The Beautiful Game has become The Hideous Ordeal. Bastards.
-
We have an embarrassment of riches up front. Our only shot on target from open play was from Aly. The other was a penalty.

Thanks, but think I'll give it a miss this time. I thought I was immune to this shit after last season but it's starting to hurt again.
-
Too many forwards not enough in midfield.
It's a real kick to the go gos both performance and result. Really really hoped turned a corner and Preston aren't any great shakes. I like to see a settled team and worry is RDM isn't sure who to play and for in fitting system.
I admire and adore the support shown travelling fans both v Preston and Barnsley. Players need a positive mental attitude training over next days and weeks to turn it around. I think quality is there and sometimes application but it's the lack of positively which is repressing the creativity and also the luck. Though today was a bad day plenrly of time to go in season and Burnley are e.g. of winning many matches after Xmas to go up. Can't win league after a few matches .
-
RDM's interviews are always the same. He doesn't seem to realise that sticking a load of forwards on doesn't mean goals.

He came out with all the usual platitudes a manager in his situation comes out with.
You could tell he did not believe what he was saying and therefor no one else will.
I said this was a must win game for him, he lost and will be fired this week.
-
Oh yea the classic let's put all the strikers on the pitch approach ..it didn't work years ago against bloody Bradford in the cup and it won't work now.
50 mil pissed up the wall and we have a midfield of Jedinek and Westwood ..pathetic no wonder the strikers arnt scoring with that shit behind them..

Started listening but you were right, two down and we had the ball both times, aaaaggghhhh!
-
Now do we know what the best formation is. and get system right . Have plenty of players and options .
In midfield Aaron Tshibola should be starting as shpuld gary gardner as both can drive from midfield and offer far more goal threat than westy wayward. Kodija can be the man players feed off with adomah supporting him. McCormack is a must and play everything thru him . If that means no ayew or getrealish in starting 11 then so be it .
This front 5.
Tish and Gardner adomah
Mcormack
Kodja
-
I get that as fans we sometimes wear our hearts on our sleeves and logic is dispensed with, but every single fan on this forum knew that was a dud line up before a ball was kicked. I don't know what his salary is but RDM has done f**k all to deserve a single penny of it, and when Xia gets rid, he'll be compensated with Christ knows how many millions for total, unmitigated, abject failure. We lost to Preston today. Preston.
-
What a total shambles from beginging to end. We were absolutely clueless today. One of the most dire performances I have seen from a Villa side.
We didn't even start with our best eleven which might have been a start. The shape of the side was awful we were feeble in midfield, too slow and predictable moving forward. Wide open at the back. We struggled to do even the basics right. He waited till we were pretty much out of the game to make the changes and then he once again plays Ross out of position. I don't think we ever would have scored even if the game was still going on now. A complete and utter disagrace and a slap in the face to the strong travelling support and to this great football club. And the sad thing is Preston didn't even have to work for the win. We made life so easy for them. They bossed the game and we let them.
-
Ghastly.
-
Fucking hell, where does it end?
I've got a crate of cheap lager, anyone got Barry Fry's phone number?
-
We seem to turn decent players in to non league players, I am over criticising the players because most of them have proven records elsewhere, if the manager can't see the blindingly obvious then get rid now. I want the new owner to be deadly (pardon the pun) I have had enough of giving managers more time, if he hasn't got a settled team by now he never will.
-
Listening to that interview, the only thing to come out of RDM's mouth that he actually believes is about the groin strain. The rest is utter bullshit.. and he knows it. He's way out of his depth and that he's finally realised.
-

WTF is Jedinak doing on 40 seconds?!...its as if he's never seen a football in his life! Fucking pathetic.

Jedinak is obviously past his best from what we have seen.Crystal Palace have Benteke we have Jedinak.Says it all doesn't it.
-
Feels even worse after a night's sleep.
As a number of us posted when the team was announced the resemblance to the Days of Black was uncanny.
There was the identical mindset of "what the fuck do the supporters know?" and "I am the manager. I will do exactly what I want to do and if you don't like it, tough". It was to all intents and purposes disregarding the result of the game in advance. RDM, like the motley crew who preceded him, has a Villa contract in his pocket. Job done. Sacked in the morning, so fucking what.

Hells bells that was X rated, utterly pathetic, should have been 5-0. Most telling bit was right at the very end after McC muffed his penalty, that bald chap at the front behind the goal gives one final gesture of resignation before turning to walk away. Like 5,000 others he'd probably travelled at great expense hoping his team would reward his efforts with theirs only to be badly disappointed, yet again.
-
I woke up and thought I'd had a nightmare and Villa had lost 2-0 to Preston. I then checked the H&V forum........
I'm still so angry about yesterday.

Should Wynesss be involved in these important decisions?

The writing was on the shit house wall when RDM gave Richards the captain's armband and played him at centre back at Luton. The first clear sign that Di Matteo is Eric Black's long lost twin brother.

Reagan of WM "you normally in recent games when its not gone your way you've been looking back at chances created? there wasn't any of that today?"
RDM "We had not clear chances but we had some good half chances, crosses in, quite dangerous on the corners........blah, blah, blah"
Good half chances? quite dangerous on the corners? whats he on about? Absolutely deluded. How about if you've got players who are on the bench they must have some level of fitness so play them from the start when its 0-0 not when we're two down.
Also same thing as what happened in the Brentford game happened yesterday. Longish break in play due to an injury. You'd think RDM, Clarke, Bond would be using the time to talk, gee the players up. er no, lets just sit in our seats and do fuck all.
I'm worried. A lot.
-
A few points after looking at the league table...
We're 2 points above the relegation zone.
The only team we've beaten this season is the bottom team at home.
Burton Albion have 3 more points.
Blues have twice as many (10) more points.
Just to spell out how bad a start it's been.
-
It takes a special kind of idiot to go with that second half formation and still look toothless.
-
Watching Westwood limply give the ball away and then just fucking stand there arms open for their second makes me want to push him off a fucking bridge.
What a fucking shit house of a footballer he is

He sounds like a kid making up bullshit.
We came out second half and had a go.
We had some good half chances.
There were some good crosses.
We looked quite dangerous on corners.
Then the usual platitudes.
The team is good.
We have faith in the team.
We will keep working.
We will be there or there abouts.
We are ONLY 10 pts from the playoffs (which in itself is hilarious to come out with)
It's all either deluded or just generic bollocks. He doesn't come across committed and passionate about the job it's all wishy washy nicey nicey excusey excusey. I don't like him, I think he's shown himself to be lacking tactically in a massive way, he's not a motivator, we are a disorganised rabble. Get shot of this onion head tomorrow morning, get someone in before the week is out and give them 7 days to organise something. Whatever it is is more likely to resemble a plan than the shit we are churning out right now.
Having said that we will probably pay another ex pro millions and he'll be brainless as well.

What a fucking shit house of a footballer he is
Real fanny of a player.
Can't tackle.
Can't create.
Can't pass further than 10 yards.
Doesn't shoot.
Doesn't score.
Isn't good in the air.
Doesn't have pace.
Doesn't have strength.
Isn't vocal.
Doesn't work hard.
Doesn't track back.
Must make a good cup of tea or give a cracking blow job.
One of the worst players I've seen at this club in 30 years of watching us. The ultimate footballer who does nothing but get's millions.
-
I was always unsure as to why we let Gil, Vertoute and Sanchez all go on loan before replacing them adequately, especially with Gueye also leaving. All three of those would walk into and massively improve our team right now.
The midfield is shot. Tsihbola injury prone it seems, Westwood we all know about, Jedinak struggling...
-
I said to a few friends that I wasn't convinced by RDM but would give him to the Blackburn game. After yesterday's Lambertesque Bradford type debacle (guys 5 forwards is the answer) he can quite frankly go fuck himself. His first half line up was bad enough but the second half just beggared belief.
The man is a clueless buffoon of Sherwood proportions, sack him.
-
Travelling back from the game yesterday I was so angry. Today it's more sadness. Sad that we have already thrown so many points away. Yesterday when the team was announced both myself and everyone around me thought " what the fuck is he doing now ". If as supporters we think that then I'm sure the players must question him as well. The players do have to take their share of responsibility but I am now of the opinion that RDM is our major problem. As for Clarke I'm undecided. I have always rated Clarke and I can't help wondering if he is a captain darling to our manager ( general melchett) or whether he is a Blackadder character who thinks that melchett is mad. From what I have seen so far this season I don't think we need a miracle worker to get us out of this division just a decent manager who can motivate a well balanced side. RDM has to go but it could well be our last throw of the dice. No promotion this season or next and I do genuinely fear for the future of our club.
-
Stand by for a PNE supporter popping in, roughing our hair and telling us how to lose gracefully.
Consider your hair tousled in a friendly, though vaguely patronising manner. By the way, when you make the trip up the beguiling M6 next year you might want to leave behing Hutton, Grealish and Get yourself a manager who can actually managecin the Championship.
Have. Also veen watching Vila for the last 15 years and it's gut wrenching to see this shower pretend to be Villa.
-
I didn't see it nor hear it but surely 4 forwards means you have no shape?
-
I didn't see it nor hear it but surely 4 forwards means you have no shape?
Five forwards in the second half.
-
He has gone the same way as Sherwood. Why not stick with a formation and give it time to develop...as long as there is improvement the fans can live with it. Unfortunately he fell into the roll the dice each game and see what team falls out hoping one works. The Lambertesque subs yesterday will be the final nail. There seems little warmth between players and staff too. In this division the best TEAM get up not the best players.

One of the worst players I've seen at this club in 30 years of watching us. The ultimate footballer who does nothing but get's millions.
I said last week Westwood was the Bartleby of our midfield. That hands-in-the-air non-challenge confirms his "I'd prefer not to" approach to the game.
In years to come, when we look back at this dark, dismal slump in our history, Westwood will be remembered as the focal point of our fecklessness.
I have friends with more footballing talent in their little toes than Westwood will have in a million years of blowing aimlessly around the park like a leaf, pointing and throwing his hands in the air. They didn't make it, but this useless wanker did.
He's a millionaire, and he is such a stranger to the actual football it defies all comprehension that he can stink out our first XI on such a regular basis. It twists my melon and it really boils my bile.
The first thing our new manager should do is start calling non-league clubs to see if any of them will be desperate enough to take this pathetic waste of molecules off our hands.
-
A complete and utter shambles of a performance. I do wonder if playing for Villa is just to much for most of these players. The lack of confidence shown yesterday from 1-11 was incredible. I have no idea where we go from here. New owner, new management team, investment in a new team and yet still the same old, same old. I think RDM will get sacked but have no faith that our situation will change whoever we get as manager. A long long day yesterday completely ruined by the football. Please when will it stop!
-
well done though for making the journey. It's all I can do to get the 30 miles to VP. Are any of our loan players able to be recalled ?

No one any good, the youth side have been coasting for years, we've produced a handful of decent players the last 10 years.

It's true that the next bod to sup from our poisoned chalice could fail like many before him, but I still believe that if we manage to appoint a manager that is tactically astute, motivational and who demands total commitment to the cause - then we WILL start winning games again. I just hope & pray Dr X learns from the previous clanger he dropped here and makes a wise choice this time.
-
I didn't see it nor hear it but surely 4 forwards means you have no shape?
Ahhha...RDM is smarter than that he changed it to 5 forwards.

Jedinak`s pass for their first goal was the best pass he's made all season!

We've had worse players than Westwood. Far worse even in the time I can recall (mid 80's onwards). And my father could reel off a whole host of names from the 60s and 70s all fetid in their own special way.
But none will have played as many games for the club has Westwood has. They have normally got away with it for a season>season and a half tops. Then been benched or phucked out of it altogether.
Barring a miracle, we won't be getting shot of him until summer 2017 at the earliest- even if the next manager wises up and banishes him. So that will be half a decade where he has been able to steal a living. Not just on the books, but being as close to a guaranteed starter as it is possible to be. It's fucking shocking.
-
Does he have secret files on every manager he's played for? Something has to explain the fact that even Stevie Wonder could see the guy's totally inept. Whoever takes charge will loose all credibility if his name ever appears again on a line up announcement
-
Nothing against Westwood as a person obviously, it's not his fault successive managers keep picking him. Sad that there's no one better to take his place which is a terrible reflection on the last 5 years and the youth policy. Whoever comes in next has to play Jedinak in front of the back 4 and tell him to face the right way ! Then have Tish and Gardner or Lyden just in front. Oh and Baker with Chester behind. Bacuna and Amavi full backs. The front 3 to be rotated from the cast of thousands.
-
In the summer there was talk of Burnley wanting him and 6m being floated.
Not sure how credible that was but imagine if we turned it down...as we've seen RDM obviously rates him given his frequent starts.
-
I was fairly confident after Barnsley but the manager soon dented that with his selection which was witless and bewildering, further compounded by the half time changes which were the mark of a man all at sea with his thinking.
There is a terrible air of back to square one and you could feel it in the away end. So many, like myself have come back to the Villa since relegation in terms of going to games, but we stood there in shock at what unfolded. I've been away and seen us lose countless times but have still had a decent day out. That didn't happen on Saturday, it was impossible to shake the doom from our shoulders.
It will be an interesting two weeks.

Like one of Westwood's floaty corners, it came to nought.

WTF is Jedinak doing on 40 seconds?!...its as if he's never seen a football in his life! Fucking pathetic.
Westwood soft as shite for the second too, some midfield pair
-
We have players who want to make careers in the game
Said Simon Grayson after the game.
Is that one of our problems? When we sign players they seem to think they've made it, the work ethic and desire isn't there. They either think they've made it, joining us with all the money we pay too or we sign players who aren't hungry?
I don't know, I know the managers have been shit, every one of them the last few years but there's got to be more to it than just having picked a few turds that aren't quite up to it, they've had a little success elsewhere but abject failure here.
Is it really the size of the club and they aren't prepared for it with their limited experience?
-
There is something in that I believe, some players grt to Villa and think they have made the big time, the ground the history and the support. You get the exeptions like Benteke who had his eyes on the top sides and others who realised they could do better. We have had top players who have left as soon as they realised we were going nowhere, but for the most we have got players with little ambition.

It's been a feature of all the games I've seen so far this season - possibly with the exception of Barcodes - that each has had energy, drive and commitment; each has tried to 'get into our faces' and the refereeing has been more tolerant of niggle fouls and intimidation than in the Prem.
And, we've been bamboozled by it, even those players used to the second tier. Which points to poor management and prep.

I'm not sure I've witnessed as crap an away atmosphere as that. Going behind so early clearly didn't help and a few behind us spent most of the first half arguing about whether you should support the team/club regardless of what's going on on the the pitch or whether you are fully entitled to rant at the players/manager as you've paid your money. It didn't come to blows but I'm sure if a 3rd goal for them had gone in it might have. I'm not sure what the answer is but I don't think a Villa fan calling another Villa fan a "shit Villa fan" is. There is a real tense atmosphere at the moment even when we're 1 up as felt in the Brentford game second half that seems to transcend on to the pitch which unfortunately started after 4 minutes on Saturday. Maybe it can be broken by a new manager that starts with a couple of wins but I'm not holding my breath.

Yes you should always support the team. But the away fans more than did their bit Saturday IMO. I guess with us going behind so early and playing so awfully it was always going to die down, but don't think you can ask too much more of them considering.

Totally agree. Both goals were an absolute joke, the formation at the start was terrible and the subs made absolutely zero sense. The fact that we had 5 "goal scorers" on the pitch and none of them scored or even created a chance that seemed like it could roll over the line is extremely telling of RDM. You can't just throw them on, sacrifice the entire balance of the squad, and expect goals to magically appear.
I'm really disappointed in him. No consistency, no actual strategy, no fire, no reaction.. looking back his temperament is not what we need at the moment.

I agree they did their bit and I have nothing but admiration for our away support but the argument started after probably the third bout of Keystone Cop defending in the first 15 minutes or so. One guy gave the defence a round of fucks and was told to just support the team. If he was a fan who'd been to every away game since the last away win against Bournemouth then I think he's got every right to be pissed off. That's why I said I don't know the answer, they both have a point (apart from calling him a shit Villa fan). It's like a never ending circle of shitness, team plays badly, fans get pissed off, atmosphere gets worse, team plays worse, etc. Obviously last year we expected to lose so the atmosphere was good because most people treated it as a day out. This year it's still a day out but we've got every right to expect to win a few games and the atmosphere obviously got worse because it was clear from early on it wasn't going to happen.

Ben Pearson said some damming words after the game aswell...all the PNE players knew within 5 minutes we weren't up for it and went for the throat.
The whole of the division is starting now to realise we're not actually that good. We need to get a new manager in who can shake this club by the throat and wake it up otherwise things will get even worse.

Hmmm...starting to think that we need a manager that will trap players by the throat against the dressing room wall. We keep sending a premenstrual netball team of girlies against professional athletes. It ain't working.
Nigel Pearson for me......
Edit: probably wrong thread. And just had a vision of Pearson throttling Dr Tony in the dressing room!
