WM are covering it but don't know yet whether it's on FM or DAB. Hopefully AVTV will work properly - couldn't get it to work for the Ipswich game

I'd hope the mobility of Tish will cover up some of Jedinaks deficiencies, especially against slightly lesser opposition.

Line up looks good with Mac on the bench waiting to replace anyone who isn't doing it. I like....
But Barnsley are sitting just outside the play offs with a goal difference only bettered by Newcastle so this will be a real test.
Betting head telling me draw all day long.
Heart screaming 3-1 to the Villa. I'll go with my heart.
C'mon you Villa boys!!!!!

So, in short, Barnsley sharper, more energetic, moving the ball quicker, and most likely to score sooner rather than later. Villa 'bitty' in possession, Grealish too deep, not sure what they're supposed to be doing, and no real threat. So same old story. RdM needs to sort this out at HT or we'll be lucky to hold on for a draw. Again.

I'm sick of that shit as well.

We need to actually deliver. Thus far this season is nowhere near good enough. We play all these utterly shit sides and still manage just the one win from nine fucking matches.

I suspect we are on a path of long term decline.

The good news is that we've made excellent progress along that there path.

0-0 half time.
Co commentator saying that villa don't really look interested and that they need to show some interest.
Also says that if RDM wants to keep his job then the team needs to show some desire to win it.

i've absolutely noticed this in a lot of our games. Newcastle was a perfect example, for 70 minutes we looked like we collectively could not give a fuck - no drive, no desire, no passion.

A directionless mess.

Fail to win either this or the next match and I would seriously think about binning him. We've got such a piss poor return from almost a quarter of the season, we already look like we'll be here next year too.

Just going to say it...Grealish are not really delivering when he DO gets to play.

He looks unfit, spends his energy carelessly chasing because he is so often caught out of position. After about an hour he is running on pure adrenaline and totally choke in the last 10 mins (Pattern here that aligns with our poor last 20 min).

Hope McCormack is fit enough to come on for the last 30 min and link center  to Kodjia, Ayew can play on the left instead of Wonder Boy.

I am waiting for the Barnsley goal. I do not believe in these tossers any more.
If you think scoring late at Barnsley will change my mind you can think again. I want two.

Don't climb down yet, still plenty of time for the kick in the balls equaliser.

Keeper saves a shot, Ayew picks up the ball in the box, beats one and fire a low shot from about 6 yards out at the keepers near post.

If you miss chances to put it to bed it makes the last 10 minutes stupidly hard.

Wasteful

85th min vs Sheff Weds
86th min vs Huddersfield
87th min vs Forest
88th min vs Brentford
89th min vs Barnsley

9 points dropped. We'd be 3rd without dropping those points I think

Can't be bothered tonight

Spending £12bn on forwards while taking a punt on an unknown kid in goal, and not buying anybody decent in midfield would not seem to have been the best move RDM, you utter div.

Leaders on the pitch?
Where the fuck are these supposed leaders that we signed in the summer?

Signing players that "know the championship"you run the danger of becoming just a team for the championship.

Well this is getting a bit demented now.

He played ridiculously defensive the other day but tonight he had the chance to shore it up late on by bringing on Baker for Adomah or something similar and he stuck Gestede on! The manager is at fault for a good proportion of this and 1 win in 10 with a top two squad is woeful. It's looking pretty grim for Bobby Matthews. You can't keep repeating the same mistake over and over again.

A 1-0 score line has the sound of inevitability about it for us.

1 win in 10.

£50m spent.

Midfield short.

12 points off the top.

I think RDM will be gone on Sunday.
