Title: New club rules
Post by: wozwebs on June 29, 2016, 07:46:44 PM
Hopefully this should shake some of the buggers up. Well played Kevin Bond. Love how they have to explain that £500 = £1000 if doubled for the thickos.

Anyone else have a good feeling about this new regime? Not kicked a ball yet but it seems to be the management taking back control from the players. Rightly so of course.

Some woeful spelling in there. Jewelery and dinning room indeed.  Also, I'n pretty sure that's not legally enforceable unless the players voluntarily agree to it.

All fines to be paid to Kevin Bond.

He has learned a lot from 'Arry hasn't he. Didn't take long.

I can't answer your question but it's in the clubs interest for it to be leaked so no end of candidates.

Yes, for our usual job, 24/7, 365 days, etc.
Suddenly, for the Euros, we unaccountably got to watch England in the afternoon, a couple of weeks ago. There was a scramble for low tech earpieces, long lost in the drawers!

Any player smiling when coming off the pitch after a defeat - £10,000

In fact, any smiling while on the pitch from start to finish.  Angry, serious and a job to be done look to be encouraged and rewarded.

Not so. I once made the mistake of reading a footballer's autobiography and he talked about how fines worked. It's all done on a self-policing basis, rather than being overseen by HR. The idea being that the money is collected throughout the season and then given to charity/used for a piss-up at the end of the season.

Indeed. Even by January they could have chipped in and bought a hard-working player to keep them on PL wages.

Just seen some of the photo's of the superstars arriving for training yesterday, it looks as though some are preparing themselves for a day on the beach!

You would think that they would turn up to work? a bit smarter!

Remember watching Garry Thompson talk about the impact the Graham Taylor had on the team when he first arrived, and the rules that he introduced regarding appearance etc... I hope that our new Manager sets similar rules.

Wearing headphones = £1000

Just a personal issue I have.

"Dad Dad can I have these Beats head phones?"

No son. There over hyped, eye wateringly expensive and just a bit rubbish.

That and you come across and antisocial by deliberately dissociation yourself to anything that's going on around you. Not really great for a team is it.

I hope it's a fake otherwise it's going to establish a petty minded management culture.

We need a tougher regime but targeted at the type of behaviour we have seen from the likes of Gabby and Lescott - not penalising all and sundry just because a hold up on the M42 has resulted in them being 6 minutes late for training.

To be honest these tend to be pretty common place among different levels of football. The fines tend to be laid down from management and players agree to them as it's part and parcel of the job. If you come out with stupid stuff - like a fine for leaving your collars up a la Dwight Yorke - you'll get dissent - but as a player you're used to it so allow managers to put their rules in place.

In all honesty most players like it as it's part of the togetherness feeling and creates a manager/coach and players dividing line.

I hope it's not fake as it's just the sort of discipline a club needs from top to bottom. Don't see it as petty at all and it's not uncommon throughout football at all levels.
I'm sure I read somewhere that Sherwood let them get away with quite a lot in his time here.
