Title: Villa Park Tour
Post by: wittonwarrior on June 25, 2016, 07:54:27 PM
Tremendous advert for the club.  One of the things that The Villa have got spot on.  Photo opportunities, a wealth of information at the finger tips  of the club representatives and best of all enthusiastic participants.

Come on you Lions

Absolutely. We went at the start of last season. I wasn't expecting much for myself having been to VP for 30 years but I ended up as excited as my lad.

Highly recommend if you haven't done it.

I tried to book on it when I came back in 2012. It was booked out the day I wanted to go and this was a week in advance. It must be very popular. I'd have loved to go on it before they knocked down the old trinity.

I've done it twice - once with dear old Jack as the guide and secondly Lunch With A Legend with Ken McNaught.
Both were excellent

I've done it twice and really enjoyed it.  Last time was a few years ago followed by lunch in the Holte Hotel.  My old man loved it.

Agreed, it's well worth booking.I've done it twice with different guides and it's they who really make it with their anecdotes and club knowledge.

Took my lad for his 18th birthday a few years ago - highlight was him leading the "Villa" team out of the tunnel - they had a soundtrack of the crowd and the hairs went up on my neck - turning to see the Holte was fantastic...

The only thing that lets it down is the North Stand - dim and dingy with small boxes - the posh part of the Trinity is tremendous.

Do they still do meals as part of the tour on Sundays?
