I remember this incredibly rare win but have never seen the goals before:
-
My first ever match to see Villa. My dad took me for my 12th birthday
Thanks for sharing 👍
-
Good find. Never seen before. One of only two wins there in my lifetime.
-
Nice one, i've also never seen that so you did well to find it.
-
Wow what a memory ! I was there as I was at Liverpool Uni at the time and a friend and me popped over and stood in the enclosure down the side - she supported Utd and I kept quiet needless to say. Those were the days when you just turned up and paid to get in I think.

Aren't all wins for your guys incredibly rare these days?
-
Yes, but as the match in question is from thirty-three years ago, that's not particularly relevant.

Now I understand: you're referring to your last win. 8)

Why you little scamp.
We won plenty of times in the last thirty-three years. In the last thirty-three games... not so much.

True, but allow me my tiny gloat- supporting Blues is a bit like being sealed in a fat of sick and made to listen to Leonard Cohen bootlegs for the rest of eternity.
-
Will do. But Cohen fans get to say Hallelujah far more often than you do supporting Small Heath!
-
I dunno. We often get to say "thank God that's all over" at the end of the game/ season/.
-
I still have the goals from this game on a VHS tape somewhere !
Good job we had a good record at home against Man Utd back in the day !
