Villa 0 v 7 Newcastle - Bacuna OG x3. Richards OG, three goals from whoever plays for them.

It'll be Nil nil at 45 minutes, four of these 7 come in injury time in the first half. The remainder plus 90. Bacuna will then come out on his own for a lap of honour.

The players are generally pretty awful for both teams so it comes down to Eric "we are doomed" Black vs Rafa "I actually believe in winning" Benitez.

Its pretty obvious who comes out on top.

Gratz Newcastle on staying up.

We might get a consolation goal. 1-2 to the Mags.

Before last week I'd have predicted an easy win for the Toon, with Villa just disintegrating again, but we did show some fight against Watford and the Villa support really got behind the team. If this happens again we could just win. 2-1 Villa

I'm sure I've read somewhere that the club haven't yet decided whether or not to do the traditional "lap-of-appreciation" after this game.

If they do go ahead there maybe a money-making opportunity for Mr Woodhall to make a financial killing by setting up a stall on Witton Lane selling rotten fruit.

We'll lose 2-0.

Fuck it! I'm sticking my neck out and going for a Home win no matter how unlikely that may seem ::)  Ayew and Gestede for us.

Its a hard game to approach because they all the momentum and even with an early goal there's a good chance they would fight back, but then I don't know if it works to our strengths to build slowly?  Anyway the pressures more on them so maybe that will work in our favour, kind of doubt it though.

Whatever the result, I'd like to hope the booing of Bacuna can stop now. i think we have made our point, as far as I can see he is getting both barrels for his misjudged quotes on wanting champions league football but ive had my fill of it now, it just feels like he is getting picked on. I dont think he is particularly malicious or was trying to engineer a move away, I just think he is really stupid. Not like Jack was stupid getting pissed and lying in the road, more like stupid stupid. Like a dog barking at itself in a mirror for 10minutes....

Never the less it was a stupid thing to do, there is a chance a taxi could have ran over his head. It doesnt make him stupid, just means he did a stupid thing. If it was Bacuna he may have thought that road was a beach, laid out a towel, lathered himself in factor 14, lay down and started reading spot the dog.

It's not just his quote about Champions League football - do you not remember  Wycombe away where he got dog's abuse - its for his attitude full stop along with certain other members of the squad who know who they are. Every player who has not given 100% when they step on the pitch is cheating every supporter who has paid good money to watch the team - they all deserve every bit of abuse and booing that they get! How players like him and others can get in the team ahead of Grealish, Gil and the kids is beyond me and I have 53 years of watching the Villa - more than Mr Black's
37 years of experience!

Jordan Veretout ....struggling with a pelvic problem.
Rudy Gestede .... issue with his groin.
Kieran Richardson .... struggling with his calf....All are serious doubts.
Aly Cissokho is suspended for this game after his red card at Watford.

Think Bacuna has suffered enough, I'd put Richards in there at Left back or Lescott. Let them be humilitated not Toner who I expect Black to play on left.

Pity Gestede is injured, Ayew and himself up front caused Newcastle a lot of problems earlier in the year. Their left back Dummet is useless and Anita at right back is surely vulnerable

Struggling to pick a team but f*ck playing Sanchez, utterly useless when he came on v Watford, Sinclair is another non entity that I could do without seeing again in a Villa shirt.

Bunn/Guzan/traffic cone
Hutton, Clark, Toner, Richards/Lescott
Westwood, Gueye, Veretout
Green, Ayew, Grealish

Looking forward to the atmosphere tomorrow, should be a laugh. Let's go out with a bang.

"And now you're gonna believe us, we're going on the pitch..."
Why?

Perhaps he's one of our players.

In that case, why?

Leaving home for the game.  See you in the Barton's.  I am the one standing next to Damon.

You're doing yourself down there Brian. He might be a TV superstar but he's still your boy. Therefore, its Damon who will be standing next to you.

I actually think Sunderland would be more of a threat to us in the championship than Newcastle. Big Sam got West Ham promoted at the first attempt. Let's bring the deluded Geordies with us.

My first appearance since the Watford game, I would dearly love us to avoid a 12th successive defeat but I've no doubt this team will give us yet another unwanted club record, my son and I are going to do our best to enjoy the game and maybe a more lighter atmosphere once the march has been completed.  UTV

I agree. Rafa would be gone quicker than you could tweet a Black series AMG Mercedes if they went down.
They'd have to offload a chunk of their better players to get the wages off the books if, as widely reported, they really haven't got relegation clauses in their contracts. They'd have to get get rid of Shelvey to get his wages off the books too.

I know they managed to come straight back up last time, but I don't think that they'll be able to keep that squad together like they did last time, unless Ashley, who's seen over a £1 billion written off his net wealth in the last 12 months, is prepared to underwrite a gamble that could end up costing him a couple of hundred million if he has to sub their wages and then sell them 12 months later for considerably less than he'd get in June or July.

Just getting ready to leave. I have tried pencils up the nose and saying 'a word that rhymes with scribble and begins in w but which the self righteous word filter deletes' but to no avail.

I've never actually been in the Bartons - how far/where abouts is it from the ground?

Edit: I always used to drink in the adventurers but my understanding is its gone?
