Anyone have any idea when we get to see this?
Does our Quickbooks sponsorship run through next season?
Is it Under Arm or whatever they're called making it?
Isn't it kind of annoying that having finally ditched Macron, producer of lower league kits, we've actually sunk into the lower leagues?
-
Supplementary question ... how long till that bloke from VillaTalk who only ever comes here to post his mock ups of new kits turns up and posts his first mock ups of possible new kits?
I'm going with June 1st.
-
I expect Marshall to come out with something by late May. And it better not include a yellow away top.
-
He'll definitely do a diagonal stripe one for the away kit.
-
You think he's going to all Spurs on us?
-
Marshall isn't to blame for relegation....is he (shifty eyes suspicious and worried emoji) ?
-
No Gibbons are. And the chap that stole the money!
-
New kit? Make them play in their underpants.
-
Can we have a hippo version
-
Can we have a hippo version
We'll need it if Gabby is still here.
-
I am pretty sure I read somewhere that the Macron deal runs out @ the end of June so Under Armor take over in July
-

I'm going with June 1st.
ill go with november
2017
-
I heard that PT Barnum were doing the kit next year.
-
The current lot should be made to play in their pants and vests after this seasons fiasco
-
I really wish it was ADIDAS making the kits
-
Plain claret body with blue sleeves please, no fancy stripes or chevrons and get rid of those stupid hooped socks. Replica of 1975 kit will do.
-

I agree. I like Adidas kits.

Black socks, claret and blue trim if the shirt is claret body and blue sleeves. Looks best imo.

Best kit in recent years ^
Also I don't see why the shirt shouldn't be changed from time to time. Some of our best kits were not claret body/blue sleeves.
-
When you have a kit with one or two colours but with no defined style then you can change it up a bit. However us and Arsenal as another example have very specific styles and it wouldn't be right in my opinion to mess with it. Claret body, blue sleeves at home. Away and third kits can be tinkered with.
-
Arsenal change theirs all the time and have had some nice ones that weren't traditional Arsenal. And:

Both of these were #Dench
-
They're both terrible. Claret shirts, blue sleeves. That's what we wear. Arsenal only changed their kit as it was an anniversary year or last season at Highbury or something like that.

I'm trying.
Honestly I'm really, really trying to give one solitary godforsaken, desiccated fuck about next years shirt.
Nope, I can't find a solitary one to give.
It really doesn't matter.
Does it?
Edit: Oh go on then. What about Shroud of Turin replicas?
-
Well you say that but this season is the first time in 25-30 years that my dad and I have not bought each other a shirt for our September birthdays. I am extremely superstitious, as is he, and I felt uncomfortable without one early doors. I have to hold my hand up and admit that the problems at Villa this season are actually down to me and not the curious course of action that has masqueraded as a season. Sorry. I'll get one next season.
-
Dench??

That's shite too.

Dench??
Famous actress. Surprised you haven't heard of her, to be honest.
-
Does 'Dench' mean terrible?

I must admit to feeling the same, and for the first time in god knows how long, I won't bother with buying one this summer.
Whether its an age thing, or whether its because the last few seasons have sucked all of the interest out of me I don't know.
I've renewed my season ticket.
That's enough.
-
I hated that stripey one, it was well Mirren.
-
Don't get me started on that purple NTL effort. Proper Bonham-Carter that was.

Wow, are you the first confirmed on here? Fair play to you sir!!
-

I've always quite liked Barry Davies as a commentator, but I remember being seriously wound up by him saying in one match (I think it was in the EUFA Cup) "Aston Villa in the maroon shirts" - was it that kit ?
-
Stoke have signed with Macron - lump on them to drop within 3 years
-
My understanding is that the Club are getting the players to play in "skins" ...two reasons being that supporters have advised they are not fit to wear the shirt and second it is a cost saving measure in that no change kit will be needed
-
Gabby will supply his own XXL skin! Shudder at the thought......
-

I once represented her - leave my Helen alone.
-
Can't wait to see our new Streep.
-
Not only are Stoke going Macron, but look at this carbuncle

From Adidas to Macron in one step?
How far have they......

Betting company sponsors are relatively low rent (I know, I know, Risso), but unheard of, no-presence-in-the-uk Chinese ones with indecipherable logos are the worst.

I couldn't help but notice
and the club are currently in the process of sending coaches out to India to teach children in Delhi how to play football.
I don't know about coaches, if Pulis is staying put I'd have thought that a trebuchet and a couple of cranes would be more appropriate.
-
What's Hindi for long throw?
-
Let's have something weird and stripey like the last time we were down.
-
That was my first kit.
Claret shorts and white socks.
Yikes!
-
We should go back to our 1884 kit
This as the home

This as the away
(http://www.historicalkits.co.uk/Aston_Villa/images/aston-villa-1885.gif)
As we're a laughing stock we might as well look like clowns.
link to our historical kits (http://www.historicalkits.co.uk/Aston_Villa/Aston_Villa.htm)
-
We should get Blue shirts and white shorts for next season in honour of the team that is pride of the midlands, like all the clubs that copied us back in the day when we used to be good.
Actually, maybe let me have a rethink on that...
-
Had to pop into the shop in town yesterday so asked one of the girls when the new kit is out.
Her reply?
"Er, probably around August time".

Better be before the 6th August when the Championship kicks off.
BTW, Sportsdirect are flogging the 81 retro kit for £14 at the moment
-
Must mean the takeover will go through around the end of July.
-
Sobering moment just now. The Independent have an article on leaked Prem kits for next season...I clicked on it & only then realised we aren't a Prem team...
-
Just had a thought. Will we now have sponsors on the back of our shirts as well as the front, as seems to be the norm in the football league?
I think it looks awful.

Stay strong Des it stings at first but it will get easier.
-
My son has a subscription to Match of the Day magazine, he's not bothering next season.

If it's any consolation, we'll be top of the league all summer. Not even Arsenal above us.

Predictions for the new kit.
The Claret will be too dark, too plum and pretty much right all at the same time.
The Blue will be too pale, too sky blue and too baby blue. It will also have been absolutely nailed.
The socks will be wrong because they are/aren't black, don't look like the ones from 79-81 or are and aren't hooped.
The fit of the shirts will be too tight, too fitted or too loose.
The kit as a whole will be shit. It will also be OK, not bad and pretty good.
Sometimes it will also be f##king crap and absolutely wank compared to anything produced by Nike and Adidas.
One thing it will definitely be is sobering to see it adorned with The Championship logos.
-
Was reading today that Leicester released theres and its now on sale ........... streets ahead not just on the pitch !
-
Is it £90 like Chelsea's or are they still treating their fans like human beings?
-
Supposed new kit

-
Seems pretty much like the present one.
-
Not much to complain about there....
Silly me. Just look at the colour of the away kit!
-
No badge on shorts?
-
Have our commercial department got their brain around the fact that next season we can have a sponsor on the back of the shirt as well?
-

Kick here would be more appropriate.
-
Blue kit reminds me of the 90's
-

You're assuming:
A) We still have a commercial department
B) They are aware we have been relegated
-
I like those kits. Hope they're real.

They look very much like mock ups by that bloke from Villatalk who turns up here this time very year to post mock ups of new kits.

They could get him to mock up a new badge while he's at it. We haven't had one of them for ages.
-
If the takeover story is true and our new owners are Chinese, expect the new kit to be red.

I cant believe that anybody can fall for this. They are that kid Luke Marshall's designs. Not the kits!

No. they are pictures. Real ones are made of cloth and you can wear them.

Make the muscles claret and the tendons etc blue... Bob's your uncle.
-
that is the most atrocious kit of all time. I'm shocked the players even agreed to model it. In fact why have UEFA even sanctioned it? I'm all for creative design but fuck me...

You'd be looking for a transfer, wouldn't you?
-
Just think if they did them based on the individual players.
Gabby's wouldn't need the six pack, and as for how Dion Dublin's would have looked.......

Ha! He'd need one big fuck off sock on whichever leg he 'sways'.

A dodgy Hummel type number c. 1988, please - UA. Too much claret...
Worked quite well for us last time.
