Black has done his bit with this line up to guarantee relegation.
-
(https://pbs.twimg.com/media/CgKm0_HUsAIClJq.png)
subs: Richards, Sanchez, Gil, Bunn, Lyden, Gestede, Grealish.
-
I concur
-
Richardson, Westwood, bacuna, Sinclair all starting today.
A fucking joke team, picked by a joke 'manager'.
-
#bantz
-
Blacks a prat
-
If nothing else we will go down in a blaze of glory. Or not as it turn out. I'll go with a conservative 4-0 battering.
-
Same unmanageable team.
-
Jesus.H.Christ. I don't even know why I'm surprised.
-
Black making sure he doesn't have the responsibility of managing these pratts again
-
That is a depressing starting line up.
-
Really? After that awful performance last week? Black might just be the most clueless of the lot on this evidence.
-
I think Ayew will have a tough time today in that line up.
-
City at home on Tuesday with 50 odd thousand; M602 to A57 absolute chaos.
Yanited at home on Saturday with 70 odd thousand; M602 to the Sainsbury (half distance to A57) driving in an absolute dream.
Day tripping ****** bags.
-
Is anyone surprised?
-
I think a few managers have done there bit to confirm relegation
-
Not good enough for an average Championship team.
-
That team would get shit on in the championship.
-
Blacks a prat
Time to hand the team over to Max Black

-
Defies belief. Dreadful line up. I'm beginning to think Black is just taking the piss now
-
I mean that line up is a disgrace.
-
No Traore again.
And where the fuck is Veretout?
-
How can he possibly believe that is the side to give us the best chance of victory?
-
It even annoys me how those tossers have the balls to smile in those team photos.
-
No room for error in our line up.
We are going to make sure that NP is able to pick up his new company motor and the office keys come Tuesday.
Whilst it is a absolute surrender formation, there's a liitle piece of me that wants to see Traore,Grealish and Andre Green in our shirts come the start of next season.Knowing how this years has gone, they'd all have dream games and the attraction of the press.
So let the piss taking minstrels endure the collective responsibilty.Richards on at half time please Eric
-
I see young Traore not even in the squad again
-
Richardson and Bacuna. Fuck me, no wonder we're going down.
-
It's possible that Black didn't want the young kids to be part of the day we got relegated.
-
Black's brief must be to get us relegated as quickly as possible picking teams like that. Hopefully today is the last time we see any of those scrotes in our colours and we can start playing the kids once it's confirmed.
-
How is Richardson and Bacuna acceptable over Veretout, Grealish or Traore? Both are fucking donkeys.
-
Bolloxed
-
It's possible that Black didn't want the young kids to be part of the day we got relegated.
I think you are right TV, and I kind of agree with the thought that these fuckers put us here, so let them face the final music.
That said, why isn't that ****** Richards in the team?
Whichever way you cut it, team selection is going to piss us off either way.
-
What is the point of Richardson, he played shit last week, didn't offer a thing. Anarchy from Black never mind the team!
-

I was hoping for Richards in the team too
-
Does anyone know where Veretout is though? Did Garde take him with him when he left? Not been seen since?
-
Ozzjim
Mate please don't compare Richardson and bacuna to donkeys cuz I have been on some great donkeys on Blackpool beach over the years all put a shift in all day long and never let you down
-
5-0.
-
Following the publishing of that line up and Black's references to his 'profesional' players, I despair - I really do. I have stuck a few bob on the opposition -4 goals at 9/1. Dicks. FUCKING DIIIICKS.
-

I'm sure he'll come at the end to swap shirts with hat trick hero Rooney. Big cheesy fuck off smile on his face.

ANARCHY

Apologies to all donkeys.
You are quite right.
-
Or maybe his thought is that these players have got us into the shit we are in so you can all be in the public eye and be humiliated till the final whistle of the final game
-
5-0.
this at least
what a fucking shit line up
again
richardson just fucking why? the bloke is out the door in a month
-
Or maybe his thought is that these players have got us into the shit we are in so you can all be in the public eye and be humiliated till the final whistle of the final game
What he said ^
-
I look at that team and want to start singing "that's why we're going down...". Abysmal.
-
12-1
-
It may just be that this 11 are at least professional and train properly, as opposed to some of those left out.
-
12-1
Don't be bloody daft
We're not scoring one
-
Aston Villa acting manager Eric Black: "I know people will say they are probably not the Man United of five years ago. But they a top, top football team.
"They have a lot of good players and it's a huge, huge task for us on Saturday. But I have to be honest - watching our players out there in training - I am relishing it.
"Let's surprise a few people."
Has he been on the crystal meth or something? Jesus.
-
Well Eric, you've certainly surprised me with that shit, shit line up

You are quite right.
Quite right too.
At least when Blackpool donkeys wear hats (You know, the scruffy straw things with holes for their ears) they look far better than that wrong-way-round thing that Ag-bong-lahor wore in Dubai.
P.S. 7-0
-
For whatever reason Black is well on course to be proven the worst of the worst. McLeish, Lambert, KMac, Sherwood and Garde. It takes some doing to be worse than them but I think Black is pulling it off. Don't we attract some total pricks to the club.
-

Hopefully this is the last shit line up we will see from Black, no fucking balls.
-
Same old shit. Meet the new biss. Same as the old boss. Why do they keep picking the same players that have been shit all season. Twat.
-
12-1
Don't be bloody daft
own goal
We're not scoring one
-
we're never going to score, it's just a matter of how many they get.
-
While I'm gutted with the line up, I'm glad that some of these players will be remembered for this day. I think we'll get the new guy next week so today is the lowest low for me.
-
I wish Gabby and Richards were playing today. They've got off lightly not being on the pitch the day we're resigned to the Championship. Wankers, the lot of them.
The only player that deserves a little credit in this shower of shite is Ayew. Every single one of the others can do one.
-
What has happened to Okore?
-
Well go down at Man U in our cowards yellow kit.
-
When's their first goal going in? I'll go 11 minutes
-
Seven minutes for their first.
-
Have they scored yet?
Baldrick could punch a hole in that featherweight centre half partnership
-
7 mins
-
I reckon we might just hold out til 15 minutes
-
That team consists of players best equipped to deny space and is intended to keep the score down to less than 5. It worked last week....
-
Sweet jesus. Richardson selected again. I'm speechless
-
Hardly got near the ball so far.
-
I really dislike Charlie fuckin Nicholas, total dick
-
Defence against attack.
-
How shit must you be, you still haven't scored.
-
I'm watching the game on my computer on a live stream http://www.totalsportek.com/manchester-united-live-stream/
if anyone is interested in watching the game.Commentry is in Turkish I think.
-
Not seen the fucking United keeper yet!
-
I've had some good news I can't get AVTV!
-
What is the point. I would rather see us play a 'footballing' team and go down 4-0 than a negative 'play to keep the score down' team and still lose by the same score.
What about the fans who are so depressed over this season. We are down so why not give them something that doesn't piss them off even more.
-
fucking floaty boy Westwood
-
Not seen the fucking United keeper yet!
Are they not playing rush backs today? 18 mins gone and still 0-0 Man Utd must be crap
-
WHY does Westwood take set pieces. He's shit.
-
I reckon we might just hold out til 15 minutes
well blow me down we have surpassed this
-
WHY does Westwood take set pieces. He's shit.
He is so shit at them!
-
WHY does Westwood take set pieces. He's shit.
Three managers, and they've all had him take the corners and free kicks.
It suggests that the others at the club are actually worse.
Which is incredible.
-
It's coming....
-
Listening to the wireless and they say it's started snowing, or maybe hailing, they can't decide. Which is the most exciting thing about the game so far.
-
WHY does Westwood take set pieces. He's shit.
Who isn't?
-
WHY does Westwood take set pieces. He's shit.
He is so shit at them!
He's shit at everything except getting picked for Aston Villa. He's fucking brilliant at that.
-

4 Managers this year !
-
United are really boring aren't they? So sluggish and ponderous.
-
Fucking hell. Nice work Bacuna.
-
Richardson adding value to the team. 1 miscontrol and 2 fouls. Take that OPTA.
-

And pointing of course
-
Man U for all their investment are such a dull, lifeless side. They'll beat us and bore everyone in the process.
-
We're going to do a Villa Special here. Concede either side of half time, then let two or three more in at our leisure during the second half, keeping it down to a respectable 4 or 5-0.
-
Just thinking the same Jimbo
-
Freekick now in a good area and we all know it will be completely wasted by Westwood
Edit: confirmed
-

Yep
-
A goal to them between 42 and the end of injury time is an absolute certainty
-
We're not the first to concede - well done Boggies
-
What has happened to Okore?
Eaten by Gabby
-
I'm going for a 43 minute and 49 special. Then two in the last 5....When we're chasing the game!
-
Does anyone know where Veretout is though? Did Garde take him with him when he left? Not been seen since?
Gabby had him for seconds after Okore
-
Took their time!
-
And there's the first...
-
Goal Booooooooo
-
Soft as shite
-
Ooh. Shaking it up a bit, Villa. I like it.
-
our season in the nutshell - give it away stupidly, all asleep defensively
-
Great marking
-
How does Cissokho not see Valencia making that run. Thick fuck
-
Hello championship
-
*Not shocked.
-
Anarchy
-
God it really took them ages to score, they must suck.
-
75 minutes to go before we are finally out of our misery
-
I've seen that goal before several times this season.
-
To be fair that was a shitty decision from the ref to give a free kick and then we were just asleep defending it.
-
YES! Wincast of Rashford for 1st goal and Man Ure win...... Always a silver lining somewhere. :(
-
I'm thinking we might be going down you know.
-
Numb to it now. In fact, I'm happy they've scored. The sooner this is over with the better
-
Gareth Southgate sat next to Sir Brian...
-
southgate is sitting next to little in the stands
-
Cissokho has to stop that cross ffs. Stephen Warnock defending.
-
Gareth Southgate in the crowd next to Brian Little. Read into that what you will...
-
Was that Southgate next to Little in the stands?
-
I'm thinking we might be going down you know.
don't start malicious rumours
-
Gareth Southgate in the crowd next to Brian Little. Read into that what you will...
I think they've met before though, so it's not a huge deal.
-
Gareth Southgate making notes next to Brian little
-
Gareth Southgate sat next to Sir Brian...
Interesting. I said a couple of weeks ago I'd like Southgate as 'Head of Football' if Sir Brian isn't interested
-
Let the Director of Football/Head of Football Ops rumours start in earnest.
-
That's Southgate next to Sir Brian........
Please let him be checking out Rasford for the U21's...and maybe Jack if he ever gets off the bench
-
Let the Director of Football/Head of Football Ops rumours start in earnest.
What? Earnest is gonna be director of football, where?
-
Gareth Southgate in the crowd next to Brian Little. Read into that what you will...
No way that would be allowed to happen unless there's nothing in it or the ink is dry. Given there's been no word from the FA, my money is on the former.
-
Let the Director of Football/Head of Football Ops rumours start in earnest.
More likely than the manager rumors.
His link to Bevington via England and it's easy to put 2+2 together. I'm too young to remember the ins and outs of him leaving Villa but recall more him as the good player he was.
-
Haha Richardson you donkey.
-
Apparently the fans are having a party.
-
Southgate is very close to Brian Little. And we have former senior FA members now on or board. It's entirely possible we will make the Head of football ops position announcement in conjunction with the new manager appointment because you have to think the Head of football ops needs to sign off on who the manager is considering how closely they will work together.

So to keep the return to the mid 90s nostalgia complete;
Southgate Head of Football Operations
Grayson Manager
-
It was always going to be Southgate. Bevington's Boro connections, Bernstein's FA connections and Brian Little knowing him personally pretty much guarantee Southgate being in the frame. My voucher at Paddy Power wih Southgate's name on it looks like buying a few goldfish for my cats.
-
Only another three goals needed before I stand a chance of making some money out of our overwhelming shiteness.
-
Dear God.Southgate signing off on the manager.

I liked Southgate, and his partnership with Ugo was really sound. Saying he had ambition for better things then going to Middlesbrough was a bit of a head scratcher at the time
-
Apparently the fans are having a party.
On social media tomorrow i expect. Mainstream media looking for tears.

I am hoping so too Brian. Mainly for the sake of your cats.
-
not the worst performance, but that's not saying much. There's a gaping hole between the left back and the left-side centre back.
-
Bromsgrove game postponed, Villa losing as usual, Newcastle winning. I currently hate football.
-
Well 1-0 down at half time is a lot better than i expected at kick-off
-
Southgate's reference to "ambition" was code for "I want more money". His departure was bad, his persuasion of Ugo and George Boateng to go was unforgivable. I have a long memory.

In fairness, he won a trophy and we did not.

What a boring game.

The fans are the only thing left at the club with a pulse, so I hope there's enough jelly and ice cream for them today. They deserve it.
-
Isn't it possible that Southgate's watching Rashford etc being the under 21 manager and all that
-

Weren't Chelsea in for him the previous summer?
I always assumed he put that request in hoping for that to be revived.
Then when it didn't materialise and he'd burnt his bridges, he moved to Boro because they came in for him.
-
Why didn't Barry take that penalty ?
-
Really sobering to see Little sitting with both Southgate and Ian Taylor.
-
Yep...southgate's cunning plan went tuts up hence his move to borough.

That was just Bates having a laugh in the run up to the Cup Final. There was no serious offer. Typical Villa though, first FA Cup final for 43 years and the captain is doing is utmost to get a move elsewhere.
Southgate can stay wherever he is.
-
I think Brian is interviewing prospective managers one at a time over the remaining matches and saying what would you be doing differently
-
Got to say that starting line up today is the perfect illustration of our decline.
-
Good job Rashford didn't go down then
-
Doing our damnedest to concede just after half time, having failed to concede just before.
-
Optimistically it is Southgate running the rule over our current side. He then turns to Little and all it shows on the paper is a giant penis. Little nods politely,
-

What I would say, and this is in no way a defence of his move; wages 15 years weren't as high as today so his move to double his money would be hard to turn down. The ambition line going to Boro was a stretch though. Although as another poster said he did win another trophy whereas Villa did not.
-
Black has done his bit with this line up to guarantee relegation.
Black should be booted out on Monday with that pathetic line up. Surely someone above him needs a word in his ear. It just pisses the fans off even more. No Traore, Okore or Green.
-
Memphis Belle End. It's amazing the things you can come up with at moments of intense boredom.

Ugo moved the year before Southgate.

You know how shite we must be when the co commentator says Utd could have played without a keeper

Hard to take as a Villa fan but he may well have been right about the ambition bit. World according to Doug compared with that of Gibson(?) at Boro
-
Isn't Hutton set to equal the longest run of games for a player without a premier league win today ? Another oxygen thief
-

I reckon it would be a very small, flaccid penis.
With a wart...

Southgate had been there longer than Gregory at the time and later Gregory came out with much the same rhetoric. I seem to recall an interview he did in The Times or Guardian where he referred to Doug as being in a timewarp.
-
Seems fitting that we're surrendering pathetically.
-
Richardson is a truly terrible player, even when he does the right thing and beats his man he ruins it by stopping and then hitting a pass 7-8 yards too long. On top of that Sinclair might as well just go and sit down for all the impact he's having.
-
Isn't Hutton set to equal the longest run of games for a player without a premier league win today ? Another oxygen thief
However bad a footballer Hutton is, his commitment cannot be questioned. The only player all season to show any kind of fight. For that he will always have my respect.
-
Good job our supporters are there otherwise there'd be no atmosphere whatsoever

See I don't understand this, he's been terrible for most of the season, responsible for a whole load of goals we've conceded and guilty of wasting pretty much every opportunity he's had to get the ball into the box at the oth3er end but because he runs a lot and kicks people here and there he gets respect, sod that he's righnt up there with Guzan, Gestede and Gabby for our worst player of the season for me.
-
I'm so sick of seeing a pathetic performance and the manager refusing to make any substitutions.
We haven't had a shot all game and we still persist with Sinclair and Richardson.

Complete tosh Dave. Watch the man city highlights back again
-
Ayew shoved off the ball then.
-
How is that shoulder in the back not a foul when the one that Rooney 'won' that led to their goal was given?
-
Hutton just isn't a very good footballer is he? He's in good company, mind.
-
I can't understand our fans slagging Southgate for complaining about our lack of ambition and then joining Boro.
In his time there he won a trophy and played in Europe, neither of which he'd have done had he stayed.
You could say he was proved right.
-
Penalty for me, not even worth discussing for the commentators.

Totally agree. I'm sorry, but "putting a shift in" is surely a minimum expectation. He often has to put a shift in because he's chasing back after being caught out of position or because one of his awful crosses has been cleared. Not good enough to be in the squad four years ago, but somehow is still in the starting line up.

100% agree

Easy to understand really, terrible footballer, little skill, no finesse, bombed out and never complained. The thing that sets him apart from the rest of the wastrels is the fact that he actually tries I don't see that from anyone else with the exception of Ayew and I would guess he's playing his ticket.

Especially so considering the treatment he got from the footballing genius that was Paul Lamberk & Co.
-
How is that shoulder in the back not a foul when the one that Rooney 'won' that led to their goal was given?
The clue is in the question
-
Huttons shit but there's no crime in being shit. It's players who play consistently below their best that piss me off.
-
There are those players that should be doing better based on what they have done before and those that flatter to deceive. Hutton falls into the latter category along with Guzan and Westwood.
-
Gestede. Why?

The clue is in the question
I know, that's why i made sure i put his name in.
More importantly, how the fuck, in a game that is technically a must win, are Richardson and Sinclair still on the pitch, I hate this unwillingness to do anything to change the game.
Ah, 1 of the jokers is off at least.
-
Getting some blistering pace on. Gestede
-
Fucking dobbin.
-
Hit the post.
-
Should have scored!
-
Geordies two up.
Burnley 2-1 up at Blues.
-
Shit, Newcastle 2-0.
-
Gestede on for a minute and nearly scored twice.
-
That was almost fun.
-
Now we fight?
-
better performance than i expected
-
Gestede does more in 30 seconds than Richardson did in 82 minutes.
-
There's a quality point backwards from Westwood.
-
Somewhere off camera Montserrat Caballe is warming up
-
I don't want Newcastle down. I want Jordan Ayew holding aloft the most beautiful trophy in football this time next year. Newcastle could get in the way.
-
On a lighter note West Brom have just missed their second penalty
-
Berahino has just missed his second penalty of the day.
-
Berahino has just done an Angel.
-
Gestede will do fine next season. As long he isn't our only option or regular option he will be an asset in the Championship.
-
I hope they all take one last good look around the Theatre Of Twats, because not fucking one of them will play there again.
-
Yeah, if he's one of four strikers he could come in useful.
-
Pulis will say yes, they missed two penalties, but Aston Villa didn't even get one today
-
If we only lose 1-0 at Old Trafford, does that mean we get three points?
-
We're singing cheerio, and the day-trippers haven't got a fucking clue what we're on about? "Is it full time, yet?"
-
If we only lose 1-0 at Old Trafford, does that mean we get three points?
A pyrrhic victory I would suggest. The rest of the league taking the piss out of Manure because they could only score the one.

And that's it.
-
A very sad day.
-
Impressed with the away support today.
Great sound, horrendous circumstances.
UTV!
-
Wankers, to a man.
-
Our fans are the best in the land. That said, booooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo!
-
Well done everyone, bravo.
-
Thats it then >:( :-[ :'( :(
-
Nice. The players, true to form, didn't even appear to give a shit at the final whistle.
Mercenaries.
