Title: The Masters 2016
Post by: Rotterdam on April 05, 2016, 06:54:04 PM
Who do you fancy?
One of the 'Big three' - Spieth, Day, Rory? or Scott, Bubba, Big Phil? Can an outsider win...maybe a European?

The place looks in great condition as always, I can't wait.

You do know they paint the grass don't you?
They also stack deadfall branches into piles in the wooded areas and should your ball come to rest next to one, it's considered a natural feature rather than man made so no relief because when branches fall from trees in Augusta they arrange themselves in neat piles.

The Augusta committee also listen to and review every word uttered by broadcasters, say a bad word about The National and that's it, you'll never work there again.

Unless your name's Jack Nicklaus!

You're not wrong JC. I should have been there a couple of years ago with some golf mates, unfortunately I was on a DofE trip.
The lads bought me a few momentos and if I remember corrected, mentioned that the burgers/hotdogs were all served without onions, so the smell didn't put off the players. You're also not allowed to 'run' as a patron.

Rose or Poulter or Donald.

For some reason, I really dislike him, but Zach Johnson at 60/1 is a huge price each way.

Won Masters in 2007, course doesn't necessitate being a big hitter he putts extremely well (which is needed), and he is in good form (won all 3 of his group matches at the matchplay by massive amounts)

Everyone quiet whilst Ernie 7 (seven) putts at the first.

That was mental. His first putt was only from about 3 feet

Rory makes good on day 2.

Rory needs a miracle now.

Spieth is a great player, and some of his par saves are incredible. He does seem to have an outrageous amount of luck at the masters though

I don't think Rory can win it now. Any of the top 8 though could, Willett and Westy included.

Spieth playing a different course to everyone else. Boring finish for the second year running because the guy is so in control.

What an ending to The Masters. Willett in at -5 and Spieth making a massive run with 3 holes to go. And I just realized Crespo is Spieth's caddy.

Not watching it but someone just posted a couple of tweets by his brother that amused me

Quote
If the boy does what he should, I will be able to say 'I've shared a bath with a Masters winners - brilliant

Green makes you look fat, refuse the jacket

Spieth is lining up his putt. If I'm quick I can get a beer, go to the toilet, and paint the spare room b4 he hits it.

Wasn't going to bother because a Brit wasn't really in contention but saw Spieth on -3 so thought i'd stick with it for a little bit, but then he went on to -6 and i gave up on it. I then has a quick glance to see Willet leading by 3 and he's gone on and won it!

I though DW was fantastic last night; never flustered or under pressure.
