A glorious 1-1. Sigurdsson with his usual free-kick, Veretout in reply.

I fancy us for this 1-0

Veretout score? Is there some rare planetary alignment taking place that day I'm unaware of?
-
The run has got to stop somewhere - maybe this week 1-1
-
Swansea have more at stake then Villa, so 2-1 loss for us I'm afraid
-
Forget it boys and girls as we just aint good enough for anything other than a loss. In any case, who gives a s**t now??!!

Them 2 Us 0.
-
2-0 defeat.
-
Important match for both teams but only the Swansea players give a toss so 3-0 to them.
-
We've got to stop the rot some time. Fuck knows when, mind you.
Swansea 3 Villa 0.

Me too.
My ticket arrived yesterday...and half-price 'cos I'm over 60 (but with much better positional sense than Micah Fecking Richards)
-
We had a week in the Gower last year and popped into Swansea a couple of times, it's rather nice in places these days.
Visit the National Waterfront Museum and head down to The Mumbles. Lovely fish n chips.
-
Loss.
-
Easy win for Swansea. Nailed on.
Although if we showed some bottle and played a few more kids then we may be able to pull off a surprise, or at the very least play with a bit of enthusiasm.

Nice one Franky - that's the dedicated type of support I was brought up on - once a Villa man always a Villa man - living through these bad times makes you realise just how good we'd got it 8 or 9 years ago when we were on the verge of finishing 6th three years running - also how wonderful those days of the mid-late 1970s and early 1980s were.
I've not been to an away game for a while now - but the backing the boys get from you guys who do go gives me goosebumps - and I'm usually inwardly singing along with you.
-
We will score less goals than them
-
Well Swansea need to get back on track.I'm sure we will oblige.
-
You lads are misunderstanding what I'm trying to say. I actually had my 50th Anniversary of supporting Villa v Spurs last week. First match I ever watched was the reverse fixture in March, 1966 - we were 5-1 down at half time, 5-5 at end of match!!
To clarify, I mean who gives a shit about match v Swansea as it's not going to make an iota of difference to our current plight. Any team that has only won a couple of matches this late into the season is not going to win the last 8 which is what we now need to do.
As a season ticket holder, I'll be there again v Chelsea together with my Lerner Out banner!!
-

They've taken 6 points out of the last 9, not sure they are off track too much.
-
The rotting stench of indifferent surrender is still strong. 2-0.
-
Us less, them more.
-
0-2 Swansea.
-
Who gives a fuck any more?
-
No poll? Well that's jinxed us. Hard fought (stop laughing at the back) 2-1 to them
-
Just added one.
-
The players gave up ages ago, so has the manager.
Routine loss 2 or 3- Nil.
The Cub is a disgrace at the moment.
-
Alan Curtis has done a good job there, afraid it's going to be another defeat. There is a very real possibility we won't pick another point up this season.
-
We will win this one easily. 0-2.
-
Olaf,
As player/manager, I assume you mean you will pick yourself to play and score the 2 goals!!??
-
Lions 1 - Swans 3
-
I really hope for at least 1-1 (1-2 would be extra nice) but in reality I suspect it'll be 2-0 to the whites.
-
If Swansea (or any team) lose to us, they should automatically swap places with us in the league. That would make things a bit more interesting, although I'm not sure even that would inspire any effort.
-
2-0 Swansea, to virtually confirm their safety and condemn us.
-

No I can't play as Nike have taken my boots away due to an issue related with my err...long standing prescription drugs :-\

I think the PL should introduce play-offs with immediate effect. Bottom 3 PL v Top 3 in CS

They had a third bottom of the Premiership versus the third in the Championship in the first season of the play-offs but scrapped it when the Premiership team won.
-
A routine home win against a team who has long since given up.
-
White Swans v White Flags
-
2-0 I hope. Think they'll be up for this one, and could be another hammering
-
2-0 loss.
-
Reckon we might nick a draw assuming they dont score.
-
For those driving down, don't forget that Wales v Italy kicks off at 14:30, so the roads around Newport/Cardiff are likely to be even worse than normal.
If its a nice day, I might go "Head of the Valleys" rather than M4. I could do with a dummy run to Abergavenny anyway because I'm going to a couple of comedy gigs there soon.

There'll be nothing funny about Saturday. Especially as you descend through the mist into Merthyr Tydfil. What a place that is.
-
Them some : Us not as many (maybe one)
Them pissed up after beating Italy in the 6 Nations : Us pissed up as a defence mechanism against the shit being served up on the pitch.
-
3-0 to the Whites
Sam old.
Curtis will probably pick himself for this one.
-
We've got to stop the rot some time. Fuck knows when, mind you.
Swansea 3 Villa 0.
Next
Yep, I'd go along with that.
Oh, and the rot will stop next season when our wonderful 'professional' soccerball representatives somehow manage to hold out for 60 minutes - despite a continual bombardment at newly-promoted Burton Albion (who go behind after their 'keeper slices a back-pass into his own net). Proud history: bright future. ;)
-
I think we will surprise the Swans and win 0-1.
I can only hope.
-
Apparently, Swansea are seeing this as their biggest game of the season.
Are they taking the piss?
-
0-2 defeat. Garde's post match comment is that he still believes when in reality his team have long since got their coats and left the building.
-
"all we are saying is give kids a chance"

I spent many a wet Wednesday night in Tredegar watching rugby

We won't win again this season.
1-0 loss, Sinclair og

From a penalty knowing our luck

They lost their last match and 3 of the last 5. A win would probably make them safe and firm up the bottom 4. Therefore, comfortable Swansea win by at least 2 goals.

Innit just.

Many years ago we broke a holiday journey and drove down through the interminable roundabouts and deserted low-rises of MT - a dread descended on us and I had some sort of psychic reaction that made me turn round and go to a McDonald's nearer civilisation - frightening place...
-
I've had a feeling all week that we're going to win this one.
Oh and I've never been to Merthyr Tydfi.
-
1-1
Krulak for us - that odd one who does the weird celebration for them
-
I reckon we might get something here. Honestly. Just based on that we seem to turn up every X games against crap opposition and get a narrow win.
-
Any room in the Asylum.....1-1.
-
Interesting that the poll has us at home?
-
That's simply because we are more important... OOPS!
-
Oh good, Mike Dean is refereeing. If anyone was optimistic/mad enough to choose us picking up an unlikely win, there's still time to change your vote.

Are there any Refs that don't inspire this kind of reaction ?
-
I can't wait for him to do this again when we played another team away in white earlier in the season.
-
In the Adrian Mole books it was claimed that a Swan could break a Man's arm!!!!!
I don't know if this has ever been proved, but I have a feeling they will have no problem doing a rather large whoopsie on this rather petrified and feeble Lion.
3-0 Furry White Flappy Things
-
I had not seen that clip, I an surprised he didn't take his shirt off and fling it in the crowd.
Awful ref and very dodgy
-
My youngest is going tomorrow, he hasn't been able to get to many games this season. He's actually looking forward to it.
-

That's shocking!!
-
A win......the start of our nine match winning run.......
-
Usual team selection ,usual result, 2-0 to the Swans
-
Mike Dean is the biggest most anti Villa cock out there. Genuinely loathsome in his mannerisms as a ref too.
-
I genuinely don't see us getting any more points now.
A draw obviously requires a clean sheet or at least a goal, and those options appear out of reach for this team. They've given up, so have I.
We'll lose this 0-3.
-

Yes,an utter c u next Tuesday. Maybe he'll get injured in the warm up.
I fancy a win today. And I'm sober

Harsh on a man just trying to do his job as best he can. Which one's Dean? Is he the baldy headed pinch-faced pompous tw#t?
-
Despite such a crap season , an away day with Villa is always a good day! Setting off in a couple of hours along with my son from deepest Dorset UTV!!

According to da Beeb and Google, the motorway is already jammed up from the Coldra to the Brynglas Tunnels
I'd consider diverting off the M4 at Magor and skirting round the south of Newport before rejoining the motorway the the west

And now over to LTA with the weather.
-
We'll lose without breaking sweat again.
-
I have no idea why this is and I am likely to be spectacularly wrong but the clearing of the decks behind the scenes and the arrival of Little just makes me a bit more confident today. And it last mainly because of how Garde reacted yesterday to being asked about Little who is such a good and positive influence at the club. We've dumped two people that were clearly not good influences at the club and brought in two people who genuinely love us. They will have spoken to the players. They will have encouraged the manager. Not being naive because the players still have to perform but maybe some of the sun will be seen from behind the dark cloud today.
-
Were going to sneak this one, trust me im a loss adjuster
-
I had not seen that clip, I an surprised he didn't take his shirt off and fling it in the crowd.
Awful ref and very dodgy
cos he would have had to book himself and run the risk of having to send himself off
-
No Richards, Bacuna or Gabby.
