Sunday 13.3.16
KO 16:00, 16:16, 16:33, 17:04...
0-4.
-
Any number you like
-
A win for us to put an end to their title dream.
-
Villa win
My wife's coming to the game last game for her was pool in the semi
-
I think this mindless optimism is slightly premature.
-
We'll get Kaned.
-
Another savage beating.
Shoulders will be shrugged
-
Villa win
My wife's coming to the game last game for her was pool in the semi
If I was her I'd quit while I'm ahead.
-
Us 0 - Them *presses random number on keypad* 5
-
If we can salvage something from this season it's to fuck their title push (puke) up. Spurs. Title winners. Fuck sake
-
A walk in the park for Spuds.
0-4
-
0-3 Standard
-
0-5.
-
1-7. We'll score after the seventy-fourth minute again.
-
Resistable force versus movable object. Our crapness vs their propensity to "spurs it up". Our total ineptitude vs their bottling the title.
Draw. You heard it here first.
-
0-5. Kane hat trick.
-
For twenty odd years this was a stick on three home points banker.
-
I remember when we were 2-0 down and came back to win 4-2. The Alan Wright stunner.
-
For twenty odd years this was a stick on three home points banker.
True. I maybe wrong but I don't remember many Tottenham wins at Villa Park when I was growing up. I'd fuckin hate them to win the league, as they're a horrible nasty club and they remind me of Small Heath with their obsession of their bigger local rivals.
-
-
That was at their place. All of bar Dion's penalty were brilliant goals.
Ah the good old days when 5Live on the way back would be full of whinging Tottenham fans, complaining about being 13th every year.
-
I remember when we were 2-0 down and came back to win 4-2. The Alan Wright stunner.
I remember when we were 4-1 up and MON brought on Marlon Harewood.
-

I remember when we were 4-1 up and MON brought on Marlon Harewood.
So do I. Cries. "Happy Birthday".
-
Loss.
-
I was at that game (second row behind the goal) and I nearly left at halftime because I was suffering from the worst hangover of all time. Was dragged back down to my seat by mates and had the time of my life second half. Listening to that twat Littlejohn on Radio 5 crying all the way home was great.
-
Torn a new one in the 2nd half.
-
David vs goliath. ..well we all know who won that one...yep it was just a one off I know.
-
I wonder how things are going in that universe?
Back in this one: routine humiliation.
-
We've beaten them at home 5 times since Brian Little left. This won't be #6.
-
....and it'll be that ****** of a referee who always celebrates when Spurs score.....
-
I wonder how things are going in that universe?
Back in this one: routine humiliation.
"Villa have only lost twice in 25 games". *bottom lip begins to quiver*
-
Either 0-3 or 1-1.
End of our hopes of making a Europa League place.
-
Nil, something
-
What sickens me about this is I know a chap who used to support Villa but half way through this season started supporting Spurs. I can't even speak to him. After every game his Facebook statuses are, "Good lad Linekar*! Well in! COYS"! The actual FUCK is that about?!
0-6.
*I dunno who plays for Spurs.
-
Flailing from the inside will seem like a nice idea in comparison to what they are going to do to us.
-
0-5
-
Feeling optimistic. A 0-2 loss but with us only trailing by 1 until the 80th minute when we give up our second.
-
Us, 0 - them, any number between 2 and 6
-
Booooooooooooooooooo!
Just practicing
-
Hammered - more apathy from Richards, Lescott, Guzan, Gabby, Westwood. Or he could ditch them all, play the kids, and then get castigated afterwards for being so mad as to create a 'bomb squad' and play inexperienced kids.
Not even going to watch.
-
It will be whatever score Spurs want It to be. I just hope they ease up the right side of a humiliation.
-
*Switches fantasy league captain from Aguero to any of the three Spurs playes lined up for the occasion*
-
0-2 for me.
-
An ill deserved draw.
-
Put it this way, my FPL captain will be moved from aguero to Kane. With paloschi on standby.
-
Our 'team' has long gone.
The wankers who now represent our club have no pride or dignity.
0-4.
-
Got a weird feeling about this game. I'm convinced spurs will bottle a CL place again. Draw or a win
-
Spurs will be knackered from their Europa excursion. Just like Liverpool were when they came here this season.
-
Tired and emotional, eh?
Just the way we like 'em.
Going for a Villa win.
-
My first home game was when Spurs best us in 86. Clive Allen hat trick.
I'm pretty sure we didn't lose then until the turn of the century. A certain tactic Tim scored.
Anyway normal service resumes
Us a big fat zero. Them 4 plus
-
I don't care about what happens on the pitch anymore the scar tissue has set hard now so I will just turn up to jeer and point at the bastards who have screwed our club - makes it seem worthwhile - that and still loving to go to Villa Park at any time...
-
Our 'team' has long gone.
The wankers who now represent our club have no pride or dignity.
0-4.
That.
-
I just don't think I can bring myself to go to this. I have had a rough few weeks personally and see nothing in it for us. 4pm on a Sunday as a kick off doesn't help either.
-
Anyone know where Kozak has disappered to?
-
I know options are very limited in terms of changing the team around but would want to see Hutton, Clark, Westwood or Gabby dropped (Richards only gets in as no one else can play right back) and Okore, Sanchez, Sinclair and Gestede back in if they are all available
We'll get dicked either way but the five at the back experiment has hardly been a roaring success!
Once Grealish and Adama are fit again I'd like to see them both given a run of games too
-
....and it'll be that c*** of a referee who always celebrates when Spurs score.....
Ha! Mike Dean. Utter arse. The ref for Sunday is due to be Anthony Taylor
-
Anyone know where Kozak has disappered to?
According to Physioroom (http://www.physioroom.com/news/english_premier_league/epl_injury_table.php#c2) he's got ankle knack - due back this weekend, as is Sanchez
-
Anyone know where Kozak has disappered to?
I thought that we'd long ago decided that he was just a figment of our collective imaginations
-
Spurs have failed to win their last two so the result is inevitable... Villa 0 Spurs >4
-
Villa 0-4 Spurs
Kane x 3.
Chadli.
Another bag of dog crap.
-

Blimey mate if you're not positive about it we are in trouble!
Next Ads will say we might only make the play-offs next season
Hope things get sorted for you...

Villa 0-4 Spurs
Kane x 3.
Chadli.
Another bag of dog crap.
We could chuck it on the pitch as the latest protest.
-
Still think we can get at least a point. The Europa League game vs Dortmund will take a fair bit out of them.
-
A serious question to anyone thinking we can get something from the game, have you actually seen us play lately?!
-
Edited for accuracy.
A serious question to anyone thinking we can get something from the game, have you actually seen us play in the last 5 years?
Same faces, same excuses, same complaints. 0-3 . Kane anytime scorer, easy money
-
is it on the box? What happened the last Sunday TV game at VP? 0-5

QuintonVilla,
Couldn't agree with you more. I honestly think that those who think we will draw or win either a) Haven't watched us play or b) just having a laugh.
I just hope that I can last out until the 74th minute. People keep saying to me, "what do you think you will achieve?" - Probably nothing but, at least I feel as if I'm doing something to show my discontent in a non violent manner.
Also, people that keep on about our "fantastic" away support (I know lots will not agree with me on this) - I think the main reason in going is to have a great day out not necessarily to go and watch Villa as, going just for that is not going to be that much to look forward to is it?
-

A few of us have been saying this for a few years now. It's reached the point now where away games are just all-day pub sessions, interrupted by 90 minutes of football

Actually, more like 60 minutes of football, once you factor in arriving late and effing off early.
-

And being bottom of the Premiership, the butt of every football joke going and in the slump of the century will give us an ENORMOUS lift i expect.

less than that when you go down early for a pint just before half time and have another one just before 2nd half starts
-
Not everybody goes away just to get hammered. The away support has been superb this season bearing mind how poor we've been.

You'll find a very good proportion of our fantastic away support are usually quite "refreshed" by kick off time. Don't make them less of a fan.

No - moved due their Dortmund game

I know and I didn't say it didn't.
-
Of course we'll win you bunch of jessies, what's the matter with you?
Which part of "… by far the greatest team the world has ever seen" don't you understand?
With Guzan commanding his area, Richards and Lescott prepared to die for the cause, Westwood controlling midfield and fast-as-lightning Gabby up front that's one hell of a spine running through the team.
There are times when I wonder if you lot watch the same game as me.
-
NURSE, he's out of bed again!
-
We need a new song, so time to update the Cascarino in the aaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaair song.
"Guuuuuuuuuuuuzan, kicks the ball out of play."
And that's it.
-

If I ever need a blood transfusion can you be the donor ? ;)
-
He's madder than a crackhead without a lighter.
-
Known as a bit of a cocky bunch, no doubt we'll hear 'Oh when the Spursssssssssss' sung at a speed slower than Gabby, followed by something subtle 'you're f***ing s**t' once they are a couple up. Will be a fun afternoon no doubt.
-
0-3 Spurs.
-
Remi Garde plays an unusual team formed of reserves and youth players. They are impassioned, full of skill, play a magnificent style of attacking flair football and the Villa fans go wild.
Spurs 5-0.
-
We have no "punch resistance" - if they score early it will be 5 or 6 nil.
If they score late, it might be as low as 3 or 4.
-
Lions v Chickens. No contest. 4-0 to them.
-
Cocks v Cocks.
-
I think we might put in an improved performance and surprise a few people here.
0-4
-
0-5 on 88 Mins when suddenly Westwood, Richards, Flabby and Lescott have a mass brawl and get sent off match abandoned
-

Cheers. I must admit that I tempted to deff the Chelsea game off as well and just bugger off to the seaside instead.
-
0-4 then chaos as the Villa players walk off the pitch on 74 minuets
-
0-2. They won't go for a big score. They'll save themselves for harder games.
-
Tired Spurs, they win 2-0.
Ruthless Spurs, they win 6-0.
All they have to do is get the ball in our box. Micah Richards can do the rest.
-
We can't keep over performing with our current playing staff. 0-5.
-

It's the best part of the day most of the time, let's face it.
-
0-5 on 88 Mins when suddenly Westwood, Richards, Flabby and Lescott have a mass brawl and get sent off match abandoned
I'm almost willing something like this to happen. It's got to the point that the football is irrelevant, I want those wankers to make even bigger wankers of themselves in the coming weeks, so that for the rest of their days people will point and say:
"Look, there's that wanker that played in that really shit Villa side"

And:
"It's crazy to think they were once that bad when you look at them now, with the triple triple under their belts"
-
The only triple triple Gabby will have under his belt are spare tyres.
-
0-0 after 74 minutes at which point in time the Spurs players walk out on to the pitch and score 3 late goals. Villa players claim that tiredness got to them in the last quarter.
It is hard to see us getting anything out of this since there does not seem to be the fighting spirit that might see us get a lucky deflection or a 30 yarder into the top corner. A great pity it has come down to this but we truly are the worst team in the Division and boy does it show.
-
Tickets on sale, 'Snap them up!!'
0-3
-
Cheers. I must admit that I tempted to deff the Chelsea game off as well and just bugger off to the seaside instead.
I tell you what, you should do just that, mate! You deserve a bit of distance.
-
What's the point? I was going to this one but can anyone blame me for deciding against it? Decided to spend the money on seeing The Stranglers instead.
-
Why bother? You can see No More Heroes at Villa Park any time.
-

Get a grip
-
Something better change.
-
I don't even care if we lose this on Sunday. What will it achieve? It won't stop us dropping.
I would quite happily trade all the other games too in exchange for beating and relegating Newcastle in our final home game, just out of spite.
-
Stranglers song that has summed up most of our recent games.......5 Minutes...lol
-
Something better change.
Very good.
-
Anyone else think there could be lots of Spurs in our end as the tickets are on general sale on the OS?
-

There's not many games I'd like to win (other than all the remaining games, but... ::)) its Spurs. And Bournemouth. Other than that, don't care. The team doesnt either.
-

Spurs fan I work with asked me this week where the best place to sit in the Villa end is.

Hope you told him the Trinity Upper, we'll have as much of their cash as possible ;D

5-1 to them

In ordinary circumstances I want Villa to win everytime they line up. However, these are far from ordinary circumstances. The players and the manager have given up.
-
I'll be happy with a net loss of 2 goals. That would be progress. It's nearly time to play the kids - I think the senior team are trying as hard as they can to make that date come as soon as possible.
-
Only reason I've gone for an usual loss rather than a thrashing, is they've got a trip to Borussia Dortmund tomorrow and hopefully some of their players will be feeling a bit weary.
-
Hello, Everyone. I have not been on the Forum in a long time. What a thoroughly miserable time AVFC are serving up for us all. It's put me off all football of any kind, for the first time ever. Keep your chins up, pray for a miracle and maybe we will all see Premier League football again within a few years.
-
Spurs will be fatigued after their Europa league exploits.
4-0 to them.
-
0-4 defeat and the agony goes on.................
-
Cocks v Cocks.
Useless old cocks vs Young vibrant cocks
-
I will be in St Étienne on Saturday. Doubtless my phone will beep me the three rapid goals that Spurs are going to score.
-
Something better change.
There's definitely No More Heroes.
-
Pack the puns in. You've got Five Minutes.
-
I'm only Hanging Around for three.
-
We might have a chance if they Don't Bring Harry.
-
I'm feeling really good about this game.
Just 1-3.
-
1-3
But we scored YaY
-
Not looking fwd to this. I'm fairly good mates with a chopsy Essex boy in my local who follows Spurs. The piss taking will be fierce if we get spanked. Which I'm fully expecting. They've had a bit of a wobble recently and need to get back on track. Where better to do that than VP?

We're looking Pretty Vacant at the moment.
-
We might have a chance if they Don't Bring Harry.
But they might bring a few from Dagenham Dave
-
Wow, just seen the Spurs team for the Europa league game.
They must be taking us seriously.
Revised prediction........Spurs 7 Us 0
-
Yeah seems like a bizarre choice. Their youth team could beat us. I suppose we should be complimented.
-
I'm hoping we come back to snatch a 2-2 draw and fuck them up mentally for the next few years
-
A run of the mill 0-3 I think. If we're lucky. Maybe we'll get a corner!
-
A run of the mill 0-3 I think. If we're lucky. Maybe we'll get a corner!
First shot on target at 71 minutes cue orgasmic piss-taking celebration followed by all going home on 74th minute
-
After they lost to Dortmund I would love it if we completely fu*^ed their season up. Unfortunately I don't see this happening, but we can all pray.
-
Yeah seems like a bizarre choice. Their youth team could beat us. I suppose we should be complimented.
Could Dortmund be Spurs' Moscow and it all go down hill from here ?

We can hope so.

That would be funny.
Hoping to see a bit more of a change line up wise now. Lyden deserves a start at least.
-

That would be great. Pretty much the only thing I have left for this season is spite. If we can do some damage to the likes of Spurs as we go down that would make me happy. Petty minded I know, but there you go.
-

Yep, there's nothing wrong with being Petty as Villa head into the great wide open of The Championship
-
4-0 to them it will be ages till we play them again
-
Anything to derail Spurs and help Leicester will be fine by me. I'll take the routine humiliation, and plenty of sendings off for reckless play.
-
Still no Jack, Kozak, Adama or Sanchez I see so it looks like the same old rubbish to pick from this weekend - I can't wait
The headline 'Okore and Gestede waiting in the wings' hardly inspired me with confidence!
-
After Spurs rested 7 players from the Dortmund match so that they are fresh for the Villa game I reckon we will only lose by three.
-

That's a blow, means we are likely to see Gabby and Westwood lining up once more ::)
I hope Garde at least has the sense to drop Guzan and Richards from CB or full stop.
-
Is Westwood really a footballer? Or is he just some bloke who won a contest to run out for the Villa
-
Options are really limited but could go Guzan, Richards, Okore, Lescott, Cissokho, Gana, Lyden, Veretout, Ayew, Sinclair, Gestede in 4-3-2-1 (or 4-3-3) formation?
Subs - Bunn, Hutton, Clark, Westwood, Bacuna, Gil, Agbonlahor - all of whom are absolutely crap apart from Gil!
-

He's mastered the ability to point; which puts him streets head of the other central midfielders

I'd probably go with that team too, the 3 CB's experiment predictably hasn't worked - conceded 7 goals in 2 games. Only change I'd consider to the above would be Gil for Sinclair and more of a 4-1-2-1-2

Seeing that McLaren has been sacked and how shit they are has reminded me that it would not have been that difficult with more organisation and sheer bloody hard work for us to pull out of the drop zone. But oh no the white flag has already been waved. I'm so fucking sick of the lot of them this season. I'll watch this in the pub. There's always a group of four bar room spuds fans there. Odd characters. I often wonder when was the last time they were at white Hart Lane. Twats the lot of them.
Just had to get that off my chest.

It's not on telly so you'd need to find a pub with a dodgy stream.

This game being on in the pub is becoming a right urban myth.

FFS , hes not gonna pick guzan , bacuna , richards , westwood and gabby again ,is he ,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,surely not
I wouldn't pick the fuckers to make the tea!
-
No wonder the players lack confidence if the fans feel like this. A decent goalkeeper and a world class creative midfielder and everything will be okay. Maybe I'm drunk. I'm going to bed.
-
It's on plenty of foreign channels but, you would need to find a pub that has access.
-
Is Westwood really a footballer? Or is he just some bloke who won a contest to run out for the Villa
I've said it before, he's the rice cakes of football. He exists simply to fill a gap.
-
I was somewhere between usual loss and thrashing! Like Man City last week Spurs will be happy to accept the easy three points and try to get their goal difference up. Will go 0-3. And I have three Spurs players in my dream team, so since we're going to lose anyway, I would like Dier, Erkinson, and Kane to get the goals please ;)

-----------------Guzan
Hutton, Okore, Clark, Cissokho
Veretout, Richards, Gueye, Sinclair
------------Ayew, Gestede
Let's not even attempt to play through them, route one to Justhead with Ayew getting on the knock downs

Think you are right about the tactics, and we do need to try and out fight them and be more physical. Still any Villa lineup with Hutton in it is always going to be a flawed one for me...
-
Shoe horning Richards in to another new position as well because he's crap in all the others he's tried won't work either.
-
I want to see us work hard tomorrow. We might still lose but I want to see that they all care and for 90 minutes care enough to try and win. Too many of our players have had what they are doing after the game on their mind rather than the task at hand.
-
And if we go a goal down, not just give up and take a hammering.

Westwood is the worst player I've ever seen. Not just in a Villa shirt.
Tomorrow, if I see Richards, Westwood or Gabby in our lineup, I'll turn it off.
Come on Remi, give us some hope. I'd like to see Lyden and Sellers in. Will it happen? Probably not.
-
And if we go a goal down, not just give up and take a hammering.
Especially as we will have to endure past the 74th minute apparently ;-(
-
Got offered a freebie today and had to think twice before saying yes.

Why is the kick off at the daft time of 4 pm?

Not going to watch us potentially getting thrashed by Spurs tomorrow afternoon, but am going to watch Cam in action for the U14s v Manchester City U14s at Bodymoor Heath in the morning instead. Far, far more enjoyable. Bad fan.
-
I'm quietly confident that I won't enjoy tomorrow anywhere near as much as I did being at Bromsgrove today.

Lol

Every out of form team seems to bounce back after playing Villa. I don't see this being any different but I guess the tide has to turn somewhere.

It's to give Tottingham maximum time to recover from Thursday match!

Nonsense.
It is to punish those fans who have been stupid enough to stay till the end of the slaughter to wait on a the platform for a train at Aston Station towards Birmingham for a minimum of 45 minutes while being marched up and down by people in orange jackets with walky talkies with absurd messages about imminent arrivals and their carriage length and who, by the way, are universally adamant that AVFC could not give a tinker's fuck about the situation.
-
Our last 4 games it's 15-2 aggregate score😢
-
So just keeping it to 3-0 to them would be an improvement? :-[
-
Everyone ones entitled to their opinions but to say Westwood is the worst player to put on a VillA Shirt are you having a lard I've seen nothing of the present midfield that's an improvement on him with trawling through our history
-
Spurs -2, 17/5
Kane to score 2 or more, 5/1
Make myself some money out of our shiteness.
-
Things you know will happen at B6 this afternoon, Walker and Rose to have the freedom of the wings at Villa Park all afternoon long.Deli Ali who is a very good prospect to look like Lionel Messi, Eriksen to look like Iniesta, that twat face yob in their midfield Dyer to get away with at least 4 bookable offences before the ref has a word. Kane who is a class player because he gets into space, makes his own time and is a very good finisher plus a hard worker, will manage all of his attributes but without the hard work required.
If they score one, within 240 seconds they will score another, we will get a consolation, boy am I not looking forward to this.

Westwood is like a referee. You only notice he's there when he's having a bad game. And we notice him every game. He never imposes himself upon the opposition (unless he's giving them a penalty), he's utterly passive and insipid, but he does run around and point a lot.
He struggles to kick a moving ball, can't kick a dead ball and can't shoot to save his life. That's right - he can't kick a fucking football.
He may not be the worst player in our history, but he's emblematic of why we are where we are now. He's a nothing player. Lower league dross who should only ever have set foot in Villa Park as a paying punter, a pie seller or a plucky hopeful in the 3rd round of the FA Cup.

Although most of the players who played Thursday will not feature today no doubt.

I have woken up this morning with the feeling that today will be different. Gone will be the shambolic defending and powder puff attack under dull grey skies and instead we will see a powder puff defence and shambolic attacking in the sunshine.

Is that better?

It goes without saying its going to be tough. Hopefully he'll leave out Gabby, Richards and possibly Hutton. I'd give Lyden and Sinclair a start and put Bacuna in at right back and Okore back in for Clark.

Yes. The football won't be but I will be warmer.

What's all this about powderpuff defences and attacks? Powderpuff plays central midfield, no.15

Think of a number between 4 and 7.

instead of the team coming out to david bowies heroes they could change it to no more heroes

All I can think of is that our back four is a barricade consisting of knackered bits of card, past their best and held together crudely with tape. Spuds will breach it like their monster trucks.
Match of the Day 2 will be a massive wankathon tonight.

If you have ever sat in the Holte End with a freezing Noth Wind rattling your knackers/minge, you soon develop a keen sense of weather systems and their effect on your well being. Fortunately I now reside in P6 where one may bask in the westerly breezes and doze in the occasional patches of sunshine on offer.

Amazing that a fluke win in any of our games would see us only 6 points behind and in with a chance. Wasn't our first game at home after the whole O'Neill/Europe fiasco against Spurs? They went 2-0 up and it finished 2-1?
Would love us to do the same to them, but cannot imagine a game scenario where we come out on top.

If you mean after Moscow it was Stoke at home, we were 2 up and cruising and they scored twice in the last mins or so.

Waiting for my chauffeur driven lino to arrive. So excited about this game. No honest, I am. Really.

Well my excitement level is zero. Perhaps it's a nice pint or meal on the way you are excited about? I was thinking earlier wouldn't it be great to actual look forward to going. If I hadn't got a season ticket I wouldn't bother. Sorry to piss on your chips but excited? Bah

Did the clocks not go forward in the UK?

I was being sarcastic which doesn't always translate well online.

Ah right. Here I am waiting for the teams to be announced. It's just after 10am here, clocks went forward earlier this morning.

Sorry, missed that one. I thought the spring sunshine had got to you.

I am calm about this game as pressure is lifted now that relegation struggle is over. Let's see what Tottingham can do.
-
And my chauffeur driven limo is RedSox.

I wouldn't get in a car with a bloke wearing red socks!

There's a bloke called Dirk that only wears white ones.

You acquaint with some weirdos.

Yoo-hoo!
