The new season starts in Europe on Saturday with Omloop Het Nieuwsblad & on Sunday Kuurne- Brussel-Kuurne.
Last year Team Sky's Ian Stannard won Omloop for a second year, can he make it 3 in a row?
Next up Milan - San Remo on March 19. The first Monument of 2016.
Gent - Wevelgem on March 27.
Tour Of Flanders April 3. Second of the 5 Monuments.
Paris - Roubaix April 10 (I'm riding it again the day before, sucker for pain me) Third of the 5 Monuments.
Amstel Gold April 17
La Fleche Wallone April 20
Liege - Bastogne - Liege April 24. Fourth of the 5 Monuments.

I think whoever takes the most drugs will win.
-
Fifth monument Lombardy in September?
-
Pretty sure Stannards opted out of both this weekend.
Can't wait, the 'cross has been the only enjoyable sport this winter. Someone (Terpstra?) from Etixx this year surely...
-

Yup.

Not the most, just the best. I think there's very few on the juice these days, a handful if that.
-
Excellent cue going out on the bike and freezing my ar$e off for 3 hours in the morning and then adjourning to the bath to warm up with eurosport on the ipad! Splending!
-
Be interesting to see how Sky use G this season. Too good for the peloton not yet consistent enough to lead a major team. Be interesting to see how Richie Porte makes out with his new team. Can't wait.

OHN and KBK are sometimes just used as warm up for some of the bigger names like Sagan, Gilbert and Boonen. That's not to discount them but if I was to have a bet it would be on Van Avermaet.
-
Hope you did have a bet. Well done.
-
I'm afraid not, still always KBK, Kristoff for me.
-
Great break away win for Stuyven at KBK today. Kristoff was second, the Peleton was lazy letting Stuyven stay away.
Belgium may well have the next two Classic stars with Stuyven and Benoot who was third at OHN.

Not exactly Spring Classics but as good as place to post as to how good our ladies have been so far this year. Hats off to Lizzie Armistead, two great wins on the road and also to Laura Trott for her success in the Worlds on the track.
Plus Wiggins and Cavendish in the Madison, rolling back the years in what was an exciting sporting event as you could wish to see.

Yes, Laura's scratch win and the Madison both had me on my feet cheering.
-
G wins Paris Nice, brilliant ride.
-
Milan San Remo looks dodgy after the winner Arnaud Demare deletes his data files amidst claims he took a tow from the team car, has to be investigated, he was on his last legs then all of a sudden a sprinter smashes an out and out climber on the Cipressa climb.
-
Lizzie Armistead & Peter Sagan win the Tour Of Flanders. Sagan's classic line after the race "no one wanted to work with me, so it was best to just drop them"
Next up Paris Roubaix.
-
Sagen is class. The talent to back up the cocky arrogance.
-
I rode Paris Roubaix today, bloody marvellous it was too.
Might be a wet one tomorrow it'll be carnage if it is.
Luke Rowe as an outside bet.

Cracking race, I was hoping Tom Boonen would win but pipped at the post by Hayman.
-
I was hoping for Stannard! What a finish in the velodrome, like a track race.
-
Not only did Cancellara fall off on the cobbles, he also fell off in the velodrome whilst showboating.

Liege - Bastogne - Liege April 24. Fourth of the 5 Monuments

Yes they can, Wout Poels wins L-B-L in horrible conditions.

I watched a bit of this earlier. Indeed, it did look a bit crappy over there
