Can't see us getting anything out of this one, confidence must be shot after the Liverpool hiding. If Stoke get an early goal, I can see another spanking.

Agree, despite the rhetoric on the OS about us bouncing back any shred of confidence will be shot to pieces - 3-1 Stoke with Sinclair bagging a late consolation

Them 1-2 Us.

My third trip there since they got promoted. We've only won there twice, both were my visits and it wasn't cold either time. So we'll win and the weather will be pleasant.

And Mr Sox hopefully won't have his car driven into twice. While stationary on a car park. All because Legion was in the car with us.

Well you'd hope that they'd put it behind them and come out fighting. However, if they had that mentality...

I can see them playing better ( it can't get any worse... can it?) Either way, I dont see anything more than 3 goals.

Still, lets keep a little optimism - even if is delusional.

Truly a thing of beauty! Mr Sox had his face cut in the celebrations and I nearly went over the seats in front and behind a couple of times I was getting dragged all over the shop. Splendid stuff.
The 8 on 1 with the 1 being their goalie for the third wasn't bad either.

That's right up there with my favourite goals I've ever seen for the club, not particularly important but it's one of the cleanest strikes you'll ever see, it's a genuine disgrace that an offside goal a few days later was somehow voted as better.

Stoke have an abundance of talent, but the consistency of Dalian Atkinson. This very much depends if they show up for the game and if they click on the day. If they do we're going to get completely caned. If we catch them on an off day, we might nick something. That said, I can't see us winning. I'd take a draw. That does fuck all for us of course, but I'll still take it.

We're running out of dumb ways to give games away. We've done stupid red card, goalkeeping howlers, reckless tackles giving away penalties, defence parting like the Red Sea, the lot.

I've only got referee kicking one in left on the bingo card. So I'll go with that. 1-0.

Can't see where the next win is coming from, routine 2-0 them.

Was watching "Football Today" last night, not sure you get it over there or if its just for North American TV, anyhow Danny Mills and Leroy Rosenior we're pissing themselves about us when asked do they think we have any chance of staying up and how nobody at the club has a clue what they're doing!
Mind you they both thought Big Sam was the messiah and his superb signings in January will definitely keep them up, so what do they know!

So depressing, we have a Bournemouth fan work here and even he is taking the piss, a f****n Bournemouth fan!! Grrrrrr

The gap since the Liverpool game could be a bonus for us. Time to start fighting like lions and for the players to start remembering that this shit is real. i think Liverpool will have a galvanising effect and reminding us that you have to work hard for anything. We may not win, but we'll put in a shift.

I don't think I'd see it as lambs to the slaughter. Most of us would get behind the youngsters. We could handle mistakes. We're down anyway, so they've nothing left to lose. I'd just like to see a bit of enthusiasm and energy that some of the youngsters might bring. Who knows, we might surprise a few people.

3-0 Stoke.

Can we go and play in the other division yet?

The gap since the Liverpool game could be a bonus for us. Time to start fighting like lions and for the players to start remembering that this shit is real. i think Liverpool will have a galvanising effect and reminding us that you have to work hard for anything. We may not win, but we'll put in a shift.
Not sure if joking or not.

Not at all. It also comes from the terraces. No point moping whilst there's hope. Time for demonstrations/action/ whatever peope feel compelled to do is when we have gone. but for now we should circle the wagons and go down all guns blazes. But blazing away.

Injury list: Amavi, Traore, Sanchez, Grealish, Kozak. Plus Ayew suspended.

Not what we need at the moment, could really have done with Sanchez, Ayew and Kozak back. As it is we have to make do with powder-puff Westwood, Gestede and Gabby.

Friend is a Villa hating twat. He will be a complete homer tomorrow. We'll get beaten anyway but it just makes it more aggravating watching us get done over by him too.

The home game against Stoke was the only game I've been to this season. That day, it was Amavi who most disappointed me. He had a really bad game.
That game was so winnable and we just did nothing. They waited for us to make mistakes and then scored a couple. If we had taken the game to them that day, it could have changed our momentum.. And who knows..

Just seen stats from the BBC site about our record this season. God  it's depressing. One is that we have only scored from 10% of our attempts on goal this season, the lowest in the division. To be honest, I'm surprised it's that high.

Rudy is back but can't see past a sizable win for them. They are now a very decent side.

They didn't completely outplay us, they were crap as well. Apart from that Charlie Adam effort it was a crap game between two crap sides. We were awful though, 3 at the back to home to sodding Stoke. That's the game Sherwood should have been binned as we seemed to have no tactics or game plan and it's the game he said some of the players weren't fit enough and the break coming up would be like a mini pre-season. It was October. Admitting he had failed to get them fit in the actual pre-season should have been immediately sackable.

I've put down for a win, I think the comments from Garde and the 2 weeks to 'stew' on the performance against Liverpool will prompt a response and I think Stoke are in pretty average form right now.  I know it's not in line with the thoughts of many on here but I just can't believe we have a squad that are so unprofessional that they won't be needing a result to fix their collective pride.

I think that was the game that convinced me this was the season we were going down.

At the time Stoke had I think 1 league win and every single game Jack Butland had been motm. Yet in that game I think we mustered one shot at goal which showed me we weren't good enough in the final third and nothing has changed.

They kept their places because the message from the manager is that while we shouldn't forget the last game, we have to remember the previous 6 which wasn't bad. You can't suddenly make wholesale changes based on one game. Everyone had a shocker that day and frankly it's not like we have too many significantly better alternatives.
