It's not like me at all to be thinking about us actually going down but even my everlyoveroptimistic self has glanced a casual eye upon the sides we may face come August.
After last nights surprise result I wouldn't mind spending an August weekend at Roots Hall.
Burton would be a shock to the system but with all those pubs it's just got to be better than cov or wigan.
-
Coventry, Walsall and Burton
-
Wigan, Burton and Walsall.
-
Walsall? We never beat them, Coventry no thanks especially as the ground is now quite a way out of City Centre, as for Burton never liked that Clough.
Wigan has to get a mention surely?
-
Not fucking Coventry
-
Walsall on a Friday night would actually be alright for us given how ito only up the road.
-
Anyone but Chaventry
-
Thinking about it: Wigan away on opening weekend would be quite something.
-
Family are Gillingham supporters, so that would be a good trip....although got a bit moody the last time in the town.
-
Millwall, for sure. I saw them beat the noses years ago at the sty. My mates and me somehow managed to get in with the their fans as they rushed the Tilton gates. They took the top of the Tilton with not a blow struck. I don't remember them as the knuckle draggers that they are portrayed to be but as cheeky and friendly cockney chappies. We had a beer with them in town after the game with not a nose in sight. I've always had a soft spot for them since that time.

Does the 'City Slicker' still exist?
-
Hope MK franchise go down.
-
It'd be good to see Port Vale finish with a run to the play-offs, they're not that far off. Always had a soft spot for them for some reason, probably it's just the name. And a long time since I went there.
Failing that, Sheff Utd via the play-offs along with the two local giants (not Cov).
-
Sheff U - I love Bramall lane and Sheffield
Walsall - Bless 'em
burton - I played once for them 20 odd years ago.
-
Burton Walsall and Southend.
Also hoping Bristol City don't go down as my best mate supports them.
-
Coventry, Walsall and Burton
That's the answer
Hopefully the Baggies will have a disastrous end to the season and get relegated as well.
Just need Bristol City to stay up

What did you think of Millwall when Villa played there recently?

Wasn't there but heard it was a little intimidating. I may be viewing them through a haze of nostalgia.Such is memory...

Lol

Coventry will be carnage. Burton, Walsall and Sheff Utd for me.
-
Coventry is a shit hole and their fans have a Mickey Quinn sized chip on their shoulders, they can rot in the nether regions.
-
I quite fancy a new intense away day at a Villa hating club, so wouldn't mind Coventry coming up. Walsall and Burton with them. If it's Wigan I won't be too disappointed as that's a cracking away day with a big allocation.
-
Walsall, Burton and anybody but Coventry.

A Championship winning season doing the double over both Blues and Coventry would be the best of a bad situation. .
-
Don't like Sheffield United, they've always had a horrible team. Don't like Millwall, they've always had horrible fans. Want Wigan to suffer and stay down as they have a horrible Chairman.
So I think I have to go Burton, Walsall and one of Gillingham or Sarfend. Preferably the latter for a day at the seaside.
-
Not fucking Coventry
This, this and this.

and this again....I really detest the wankers, oh and those other tossers P/Boro....
UTV
The Doc
-
On what planet would anyone want a default position of Ryton doing well just so we can play them again. Horrible bunch of bastards.
-
Burton, Coventry and Walsall
-
Fuck Southend for a trip. Chavvy, Essex wankers. Gave it loads at Cheltenham on the lower leagues. We would die of ejaculant poisoning if they were in the same league as us.
-
Burton, Walsall and Gillingham, no fuckin way do I want Cov in the championship, a Villa mate of mine in Kenilworth tells me the Cov members of his Social Club over there have booked a room for a Villa relegation party, they wont be the only ones, those fuckers hate us just as much as Blues/Bitters, let them rot in league one.
-
Burton and Walsall obviously and don't care who else.
-
Coventry appear to have defaulted back to their usual setting (shite) so we may not have to bother with them. Why anyone would want to go there is beyond me.
-

Whelan left last year, it's his grandson in charge I think now.
Went to Burton-Walsall yesterday, 0-0. Was as good as it sounds, both teams would struggle to get 20 points in the championship.
Burton have got a terrace behind the goal aswell, bit interested to see how that copes with Villa and Newcastle fans as the ground itself only holds 6k.

With about 1,500 tickets and police cordons as far back as Lichfield, probably.

What's the normal Walsall league allocation? In the annual friendlies we get behind the goal and up the side, is it usually just behind the goal opposite the two tier stand?
-
No when Wolves were down in league one they got the touchline stand aswell so would imagine it would be like a pre season friendly allocation.
-
Bradford, Barnsley and Sheffield United for me as an adopted Yorkshireman.
I sat next but one to Sir Brian at the old Bradford ground when we were both 17. Bri was more interested in the fighting on the terraces below us.
We won one-nil, I believe.
