I saw on the Lions and Legends facebook page that Ken McNaught went into hospital this morning to undergo major heart surgery. All the best Ken.
Edit. As pointed out, Ken's operation today was cancelled and will hopefully go ahead on Thursday.
-
Hope all goes well.
-
Bloody hell! All the best Ken and here's hoping you make a full and speedy recovery.
-
Best wishes, Ken.
-
Good luck to him.
-
much more important than the minor difficulties we are facing with our present team.
He was only on the pitch taking penalties 3 months ago at Goodison on one of those terrible match days.
-
All the best Ken, hope for a speedy recovery.
-
Speedy recovery Ken
-
Ken - all the best, get well soon
-
Good luck. Not just a damn fine player in his day. He still does a bloody great job commentating as well, he has that ability to figure out exactly what the real issue is in a game and articulate it. I admit to being surprised how much of a tactical brain he has. I hope he comes though.
-
Good luck, Ken.
-
Get well soon and best wishes, Ken.
-
Best wishes Ken! Hope to see you at Villa Park very soon.
-
Just been told his op was cancelled.

I bumped into Ken, literally, last season and he was on his way to do some match day sponsors thing but was good enough to give me a minute of his time. He is still a big old craggy unit and there is something strange about this rock of a defender and true Villa legend being mortal enough to be ill - He's one of us and I wish him all the best. Puts the current shite into perspective.
-
All the best, big man.
-
A true teen hero of mine, get well soon Ken, give it the full 110.
-
If he is having a heart transplant, he should donate his old one to some of the tossers who played on Sunday, they could do with it.
Get well Ken, the Villa Dreadnaught.
-
Best wishes Ken. That's a massive heart that requires fixing!
-
Get well soon Ken
-
Wishing you a full and speedy recovery!!!
-
Best Wishes Ken
-
Get well soon Big Ken.
-
A rock in the best Villa side we`ll probably ever see, good luck big man. Evans/McNaught, Laursen/Mellber......... stop it, just stop it.
-
Getting all teary-eyed! All the best to Ken.
-
Any news on how it went,or if, for Ken?
-
Only just found out about this - all the best big man - look forward to seeing you in the Upper Trinity again soon.

This has just appeared on the Villa Legends Facebook page
To all of the people who sent their love, support and good wishes to big Ken McNaught, Aston Villa European Cup winner. After some false dawns, including being washed, shaved and waiting in a surgical gown only to have his major heart operation cancelled, Ken has been successfully treated today. His wife Maureen has just text to say all went according to plan and he is recovering in the critical care unit. I am sure you will all join me in wishing Ken a rapid full recovery and like me you'll be looking forward to having him back in full circulation as soon as possible and ready to share a glass or two

Best news we're likely to hear this week.
Speedy recovery big man.
