Yes. Me too. So excited.
About the only team he could pick

I think I would have had Bacuna in at right back and Lyden starting. Like to see more of Mason too, good pedigree.

Poor Remi. I don't think he had any intention of ever playing Flabby. Stuck with him due to the incompetence from AVFC hierarchy on an industrial scale. If Remi is still here at the start of next season he will deserve a medal for perseverance in the face of adversity.

Yet another team flying in the top half that we should have beaten earlier in the season. But for the lack of a competent striker we would have.

Fuck off Hollis and Fox. And fuck Rio the Rodent.

1-0 win. Clearance ricochets in off Gabby's ample derriere.

This is typical us this season, playing quite well, passing it around nicely, not looking like a bottom of the league side.

Within ten minutes we'll practically ejaculate one straight into our own net for them and that will be that.

throw in a solid penalty shout that gets denied and that's been our season. I fully expect them to get a penalty and be allowed to bring on a twelfth man. Probably a goalkeeper.

Exactly, whatever happens from here the ref has fucked us over, and that's a clear yellow for Noble that he's ignored as well.  I hope Garde puts in a complaint, this is a truly pathetic showing form the ref, Hoddle and Savage have already both pointed it out so it's nothing to do with 'villa glasses'.

Its like one thing after another and its like every event is destined to take the worst possible route as its unfold.

1) First that ref twat can award a penelty for the handball and ...he doesnt (making tempers flare).
2 )Then Bacuna could just take the throwin and the game would continue (and we started well)...but he decides to leave it for Richards.
3) Richards then can just throw it with the same effect ...but he delays...creating the static moment where Ayew has time to figure out just how he is going to screw Aston Villa for the reminder of the season.

Any of these 3 things go the other direction and fate takes a path for the better. But no....we must suffer!

Ayew, yep right decision. Compare that to Huth the other week...

yeh how about it. He does exactly the same to Kozak and we get nothing. Not excusing Ayew in any way off course. And as someone mentioned before the penalty not given is no different to the one given against Cissokho.

He's paid not to be stupid. Nothing "angry" was going on. He won't care.

As I said the other day. Top to bottom in all top flight football, failure is rewarded. Get on that gravy train and it doesn't matter whether you have relegation in your CV.

I don't usually care so much, but I'm upset about other stuff in real life not football, so I'd laugh it off another day.

The pots take is Garde had got us drilled into a style of pay that actually looks solid and gives us a chance now.  Until the madness we were easily the better team. We were last week too. And second half against Leicester. Beat Palace too. Those two pens go our way as they should last 2 games we are possibly sitting on 18 points tonight with Norwich at the weekend. As it is it will be 13 without our best forward. Garde must have had enough.

We haven't been shit, in fact we have actually been quite good.

I suspect Ayew allowed himself to get wound up by the pen decision (criminal),  Okore getting an unpunished push and Cresswell giving him a bit of a shoving. No excuse at all, but if we had the pen we should have he would still be on the pitch most likely with a goal to his name.

Ayew needs his arse kicking, but we have been robbed.

We've not been lucky that's for sure. Looked good for 15 mins, and solid for the rest of the first half.  But away from home with 10 men for 75 minutes is asking a lot.  Stupid sending off.  Penalty 50/50 in my view, "seen 'em given" type incident.

Correct. I'm sure plenty of Villa players have done something similarly stupid. It's not one act if petulance that's got us into this mess and he has been one of the few, tiny, glimmers of hope that we might somehow get out of it.

He needs to learn from this and grow up. He's still easily our best forward so talk of disowning him is ludicrous.

It is pretty staggering, though, isn't it, that we've managed to become *this much* of a shambles.

Last season (and the several before) was fucking horrible, but even compared to that, this is all significantly worse.

It has been coming for years!

Why are people shocked? Randy has been fucking us since 2011. We have only surpassed 40 pts once in the last four seasons.

In his defence we look so much more composed with him in than Guzan. He has made 3-4 really good saves tonight as well, in a 1-1 like that I reckon the keeper would probably stop maybe 1 in 10?

Decent because you can see that with a good forward in the team we'd be a far better side than the results are showing right now.  I've said a few times what Garde has needed for a while is to get a couple of cheap wins, someone to have one go in off his back or something similar just so the players feel a little less like fate is against them, Ref performances like today are the absolute last thing a club in our position needs bu they get them all too often.

We were worse than shit, & Ayew's a pillock, but we haven't got our fair share of decisions either.  Noble MoM when he shouldn't have been on the pitch.

Ridiculous, we were on top until Ayew went off then I thought Remi had the players well organised, very hard to get a result with ten men for most of the game.

Anyone who reckons we were worse than shit clearly wasn't watching.

Perhaps I was harsh on the team as a whole, but maybe it was just me who saw Bacuna strolling around & not defending, & Richardson's appalling control.  No fault on effort, but not much quality.  It's all just so, so sad.

Jordan Ayew, thank you for putting the final nail in our coffin.
Hopefully you never pull on our shirt again and if you do then I hope our fans boo you any time you touch the ball so you are bombed out of our club as soon as possible. I have been following The Villa for nearly 50 years and have never ever slated a player of ours while the game is on but would make an exception in your case. You are a prime example of a spoilt brainless overpaid shitbag of a footballer who has aboslutely no understanding or conception of the sheer bloody hurt and heartache your sort causes to us. I hope your career nosedives down to nothing you complete and utter f**cking scumbag.

Garde can go with his head held high and the good wishes of most of the fans.

Why are so many Villa fans wanting our first decent manager for years to walk away, have you all got some sort of fucked up football related stockholm syndrome?

To prove a point to the board I guess - classic cutting off nose to spite face.

To me, our only hope is somehow they get Garde to stay on through next season.  Promise him the moon.  He could SGTmkI v 2.0.

I agree.

The only thing that could make this season worse than it has already been would be Garde leaving.

And that's my point the fans should be praying he stays, not exclaiming to everyone that they'll understand if he walks away.  I fucking won't, I'll be seriously pissed off just like everyone else should be.

Hmm, not sure I follow.

I'll understand if he leaves because he quite clearly has been fucked by the board. That doesn't mean I want it - far from it - I can just understand if it happens, because he has just cause.

I'm more complaining about the 'go with our best wishes' style comments but even the 'I'll understand if he walks' stuff I won't I want what's best for the club and him walking isn't that, reagrdless of how justified it may be, I want him and the players to decide to go out with a fight and set us up for a summer of building to come back first time, we're clearly down so lets think about what we need in August and for me Garde in the dugout is on that list.  For that reason I want him to stay and he won't have my best wishes or understanding if he leaves, he'll be another in a long list who put themselves before the club.

Exactly the sort of ridiculous over reaction that was pissing me off earlier in the thread.

Fuck me, 2 more Veretouts instead of Bacuna and Westwood and we would have a midfield.
Veretout plus 2 traffic cones would be better than those two useless twats.

What about playing the McGregor statue up front against Norwich instead of Flabby Agbonlabollocks? I think we'd get better movement and ball control and he'd certainly stand a better chance of scoring!

Talking seriously, Gabby should have been put out to grass years ago and his continued overpaid presence at the club shines a light on the sentimentality and ineptitude that has eaten away at the club like a cancer these last five utterly dreadful years. He's been taking the piss out of us for a long time and while he was once a good player, any half decent coach would have weeded him out long ago. Ditto countless other mediocrities still clinging on to the club like slugs and limpets.

We've become a laughing stock, rather like a pissed up and clapped out old uncle at a wedding prattling on about the good old days. An utter embarrassment, stinking out the Premiership. I say this with a sadness in my heart because I love the Villa and have followed them for 53 years. But I hate Lerner's Villa, the bastard child of a criminally useless owner. I don't recognise them as my Villa. Colourless, clueless, spiritless, owned by a stayaway American and run by an American hopelessly out of his depth. The players are people I can't relate to or admire. Nobody wants to play for us and nobody wants to watch us. Lerner's Villa is effectively dead. It's over.

Who can give us our club back and how far will we sink before someone does? I haven't the faintest clue but it's getting very very scary for my beloved Villa now.
