When I first started coming to away games here, I used to park right opposite the slope up to the away end. Gradually the police have increased parking restrictions on Middlemore road. The no-parking bollards now extend all the way to the station.

At the risk being banned, I apologise to the fragile and the polite for not being eloquent, uncooth, a bit chavvy or as we say down here, 'bogan' but please play with passion for 90 minutes Aston Villa and royally fuck this ugly football team right in the fucking arse to make them shit themselves about relegation and for us to maybe think otherwise.

We need those three in midfield to be at it from the off, and keep it up all the way through. Do that, and we can win this.

I think Veretout is possibly being rested - he has looked knackered recently. Not surprising because he does put a pretty serious shift in.

Westwood's a trier, so maybe his attitude has put him in the team.  Or Veretout has a slight knock.

I think Westwood has a bit more about him physically which we will need for the early part of the game.
Can see Veretout coming on for the last 25/30 when players are tiring and his quality can shine through.

I was about to speculate to this end. He has looked a little leggy. Maybe if he hadn't been sat on his arse til October? He'll be back.

Very poor midfield, we need a couple of new ones in the summer too. Get the first goal and I think we'll get the win, otherwise a very tough afternoon.

Personally I think the use of the word "fuck" in this context is totally justified and if anything not used enough. Fuck the Albion.

Let's hope we do regardless of of how it affects the rest of the season - sadly we know that this is their cup final - they have already got the DVD in preparation. If we fail to win the open top bus tour of Smethwick will go round and round for weeks.

Interesting.  Unless he feels he is in need of a rest or is carrying an injury, the Bacuna for Veretout swap seems an odd one.

5 at the back with two wing backs who are shite and cant cross? I doubt it, well I hope it isn't anyway. Would be a terrible formation.

Very strange decision to drop Veretout and leave both Westwood and Gil in. The right flank of Richards and Bacuna looks a bit conservative but they look as if either Evans or Olsson will be left back.two very average teams maybe Ayew can be the difference

I thought they might be 5 at the back too then remembered Pulis likes to sting 4 giant centre backs across the back line and turn it into a rugby game

Gil has no effect on a game in the Premier League. He's too weak and slow for the league, oh well, might be better in the Championship sooo...

Where is Kozak when Ayew breaks like that?

He flicked the ball on, while jumping with an Albion player.  No doubt out of shot and off the ball the player impeded Kozak and the ref turned a blind eye.

Stonewall penalty...then again he's erred on their side nearly every other decision.

Normally I can see positives in Westwood's play...today he's been ineffective with the ball and so lightweight without.

How does the ref miss that manky viking Olsson's forearm smash on Bunn right at the end.

They'll nick it with a set piece...despite us being better than them

Veretout is quality. Why he didn't start is beyond me. Head and shoulders above any other midfielder at the club.

We are much the better team with no real punch at all. The story of our season but you can still see the overall improvement under Garde. Especially defensively.

FUCK ME AYEW

Richards has not tried to run past anyone today. Do you think it's a protest at being played right back?

Shit tactics, subs, everything by Remi. Absolutely shocking.

Although we're not losing. So, must be doing OK at something.

Wow, we might be getting a point.
You forgot shit footballers Goldie.

Most of these players are NOT footballers though  ;)
Good point. I fear the players have been taken over by bodysnatchers.

Gil and Veretout have something that most of our players don't. It's called technique.

Not looking at the result, Garde has made us play football. We defend better, we keep possesion better, we are a team. He can't make a goal scorer from a lump of shit.

Okore and Lescott are a very decent partnership, actually. Cissokho adding some solidity has helped, too.

Must have watch a different match to those saying shocker, poor etc. I just watch Villa well, outplayed the albion, passion, team spirit. Lack the quality up front but can still see a side improving

Improving until they get near goal.  Somebody should tell the "forwards" that if you want to score goals you need to get in the box.
Over and over there was one Villa player to about 6 Albion defenders in the box.
