We need to go with the same approach from last night, energeric pressing, in their faces, 100% through out, everytime I've seen Leicester this season there work rate has been phenomenal so we need to match that, we should have comfortably beat them at whatever there stadium is called earlier in the season but for the strangest substition in the history of football and since then both teams haven't looked back, us for all the wrong reasons though.
Leicester fully deserve to be were they are for their no fear approach but with all due repspect there squad isn't much better than ours, they have two stand out players in Mahrez and Kante (I don't buy into the Vardy hype at all) but the rest are average, it shows how appauling we have been all season that they are 30 odd points ahead of us.
We need wins in our situation but I can't see us winning twice in 5 days so 1-1.

Hopefully the players will take confidence from last night and give it a real good go.

I have absolutely no idea which Villa team will turn up, if it is the one from last night then we may get something out of it but from what I have seen Leicester are very solid with three flair players and a decent system they have mastered. Tough game 1-1?

Leicester are decent, no doubt about that. Not expecting miracles, just hope we go in with the same energy and pressing.
Someone needs to follow Mahrez round the pitch and not give him a seconds peace. He is something we lack badly, someone who can change games and make it happen...like he did in the first game.
I just hope we go for it...

We won last night, with possibly the lowest confidence a team can have and almost  open war fare between senior players and the support. It might have been the turning point, for them to finally get a result under Remi, the belief of a win, that his way might work, well I'm dreaming there will be a turnaround now.

2-1 Villa, we need a hero and Ayew is the kid to step up, brace of goals for him.

I think they've worked incredibly hard but much like us in 99, they don't have strength in depth. I think they're losing momentum and we'll see them starting to slide.
I think this is ideally set up. We've finally won at home and they're just starting to run out of steam. Vardy, whilst hitting something of a barron spell by his standards is also out injured.

Fuck the fuckers.

2-0
Ayew and Kozak.

One of the keys will be to close Mahrez down a lot quicker than we did in the joke game at the pack of crisps, let him get up a head of steam and he'll make some of our slow players look silly.

Sadly Vardy is due back tonight against Spurs.

We must win this game as we are playing catchup, however Vardy v Lescott for pace is a scary prospect and I'm also unsure how we will stop Mahrez.

I rarely watch football on tv but I did catch the Leicester/Man City game a week or so ago.
0-0, but it should have been about 4-0 to Man City...I thought Leicester had very little quality, defended desperately and got a bit lucky.

I don't think they're as good as they think they are.

I'm quite confident after last night - it's now up to RG to get the same out of the players consistently.  I've got a feeling it may be a slightly trickier game than last night though, but the players need to remember that losing to Leicester in September was really when the season all started to go wrong for us.  2-1 Villa.

Yes. I've been thinking about the morality of this. I think it's fine to hope for minor injuries to any decent Leicester player following this evening's match.

2-2....After leading twice!

Which wouldn't be the death star entrance in the scheme of things...4 points out of 2 potentially very difficult(on todays standings and form) home games...

All we can hope for at the moment is a regaining of some positive momentum...which may well be too late for the race to stay in the division...but will enormously help in the race to re-enter it next May.

Same team...although I can see Garde sacrificing Gil for Richards and moving Vertout to the tip, with Bacuna on the right.

For me,Mahrez is a class act,but the main man is Huth at the back..He wins nearly everything, and I remember him totally bossing Benteke at VP a couple of seasons ago...I extolled his virtues a couple of seasons ago in one of our transfer threads...I wonder if we'd have landed him where we'd have been with a touch of his organisation and physical leadership at the back.

Just keep giving us a little gap in the clouds please gentlemen...110% and we'll applaud and enjoy our post match tot.

Exorcise the demons from "that" afternoon in Leicester, then move on and pick up another 3 points at Baggies next weekend...we'll need results to go our way but the table could be looking a lot tighter and more optimistic for the unthinkable.

You have to fancy it will be low scoring, their last 3 league games they've scored 0 and conceded 1. We struggle to score and now don't concede goals. So 9-3 to us it is then.

They will score two wonder goals and have the majority of the play. In the second half it will be wave after wave of Villa attacks, as the pressure builds the Tinker man will take off a couple of their key midfielders and bring on strikers.

We will score 3 goals in 30 minutes with the final goal coming in the last minute.

Afterwards Ranieri will give an interview where he is apparently close to tears, claiming it is his worst moment in football, but it was nothing to do with his substitutions.

Our players will gain so much confidence we will get 40 points from our remaining games, their players will lose confidence and not get another point. We will finish above them, stave off relegation and equilibrium will be restored in the universe.

Remi has talked a lot about 'efficiency'. Well, Leicester are without doubt the most efficient team in the league. They built their form on outscoring the opposition and everyone thought they would plummet when Vardy and Mahrez either got injured or lost a bit of form, but that's happened and they are still going. They have been able to tighten up at the back to compensate.

Just shows how easy it is to score a goal - Huth didnt over think it, but knew enough of where to put it.

Its not going to be easy.

They play, without any "superstars", as a unit, that have an understanding of each other. Thats something that Nigel drilled into them.

Balls, that was a good result for Leicester.  I was thinking they would lose tonight and it would be the start of a bad run of form.  Hoping the extra day of rest might work in our favour,
Exactly my thinking too.

The one thing for sure is we have to worker every bit as hard as we did vs Palace. Otherwise Leicester will win. This is going to be very tough.

At least now people complaining about the chairman not being at games will need to find another topic to complain about with as much vigour.

The next 2 games will decide our fate (4 points from Leicester and the Albion games, will give us a chance), if we lose both then I cant see us having any chance of surviving.

Lets go for it, what have we got to lose!

The bring in somenody like Ulloa, Okazaki or Kramaric. They spent £18m across those three. They probably wouldn't be as effective, but nor would any team in the league if their two best players were taken away from them.

What do Spurs do if Eriksen and Kane get injured?

I don't see why it's particularly relevant to Leicester then. Yes, if their best players get injured they won't be as good as if they don't get injured. Just like us, Spurs, Everton, West Ham, Man City... everybody.

I think the point is a relative one - some clubs have a group of decent second-string players (eg Man City) whereas a lot rely on squad-fillers (eg us!)

For probably the first time this season, we have something to build on.  I agree that we should keep the same team as Tuesday.  From what I have seen of them, they play a 4-4-2, so hopefully we can try and outnumber them in midfield.

This is probably the most important game in our recent history. We need to build on the Palace result (which so often Villa have failed to do) and if we win it will put us back in a position where we can reasonably hope there may be a chance of catching up with the other relegation candidates.

The away game at Leicester was a defining and very negative moment in our season and Sherwood should have been sacked that evening.  Hopefully this game can be the opposite.  I think the events at Wycombe had the effect of putting a rocket under the team to show some fight, some pride, and they did. Hats off to Lescott in particular.   Provided the selections are right and they fight for their lives we can win this one as well.  If we do, I think we can push on and at least get close to contention with the others.  And then...

The big thing about this fixture is that the late defeats in the reverse of this and palace are what caused us to be where we are, better management decisions and we could easily have been on 10 points after 5 games and the whole season would feel so different for it.  Winning this after the win in the week would be like exorcising those demons, it might be too late to save ourselves but the confidence of righting these wrongs is probably the only thing that could give us a chance.

Sanchez, Grealish and dare I say Gabby back available for this. Just Amavi, Traore and Hutton (no loss) out injured.

I'd be tempted to bring Sanchez in for Westwood, but when you've waited so long for a win I guess we probably shouldn't change it.

Think it could be one of the rare games per season that he puts a right shift in and looks unplayable.

Whenever I've watched Leicester, they tend to catch teams on the break and it's normally about 3 or 4 players running as opposed to just one or two, it's very effective. It's going to be a tough game and I hope we stick with the same side. I know we need wins but a draw would be a half decent result against these.

Barring injury, I very much doubt they won't play. Unless we sign a new keeper I can see Bunn being our main keeper for the rest of the season. Guzan won't be playing for Villa in the foreseeable future.

wow Villa are still in this league?

It doesn't take much for some folk to 'give it the big un' these days. At least we'll be able to have a satisfying smirk when the wheels inevitably come off & they end up from whence they came. Fuck 'em.

1 Bugger all this nicety about them. Leicester are arseholes.

2 I have a sneak that we will go well in this.

Well said. Leicester is a bit like Coventry, a nasty little shithole full of bitter twats.

Let's not be too harsh - remember these are people who need plastic clappy things to make a noise as they lack the necessary co-ordination to clap with their own hands like normal people

Leicester fans are hilarious, complete small time nothing, piss pot, non entity club that have spent most of their existence playing against Huddersfield, Grimsby and other piles of wank. They had a ground named after a packet of crisps and the thing they are most known for is having a dumbo resembling, boring fan. 20 games of good football and they give it large, with plastic clappers given to them by their owners, presumably because their claws don't make much of a sound when they rattle them together.

Fuck shithawk teams like Leicester, Stoke, Southampton and Swansea.

Please, everyone at Aston Villa get your shit together as soon as possible so we can put fucking, new stadium, flat pack football clubs like those back in their place.

Oh and a win, some jammy goal between the keepers legs or off his arse again, just beat these and send them back home with a reality check.

I think we'll win. We might need another jammy goal but if we score early on I think we'll get three points. The sky's the limit.

Absolutely, I hate all this Leicester love in. Nasty insignificant bunch of plebs. Still think they'll beat us though, but if we get a win It would be magnificent.

Just watched England pummel South Africa In their back yard, a Villa victory would make a wonderful weekend.

I'd like to think we can get a draw. I'd be happy with that.

The Leicester love in from the media is completely justified because they have had a superb season. If it was us it would be exactly the same. If we complain when Sky and the like concentrate solely on the Chelsea/Man U/Man City etc then on the other hand an unlikely side breaks that up and they become the focus what is there to criticize? I lived in Leicester. The locals can be utter scrotums but the achievements of the football team should be applauded.

Like that bird from Misfits "what the f**k is brunch?!?"
Fair play to them for the season they're having but they'll always be a poxy club from a shithole!
