Title: Villa players out on loan and out permanently
Post by: eddiemunster on January 06, 2016, 01:32:06 PM
So far the only definite is;
Callum Robinson has re-joined Preston on loan for the rest of the season.

Grealish rumoured to be on his way out on loan according to Simon Jones from the Mail.

Doesn't look like Gabby et al are on the move any time soon.

When does the transfer window close?

Joe Cole meant to be signing a permanent deal with Coventry this week.

Rumours continue of paying off N'Zogbia so he can go to MLS.

On an 8 year contract. They want to make him an ambassador for the city.

does that mean there'll be a deal to pay a portion of his remaining contract?  If he's so desperate to go why cant it be mutually agreed termination of contract?

As they have got rid of Grant Holt much to the immense pleasure of the fans Kenny Jackett is hardly likely to take on a player of similar stature and girth.

Gabby may try to outlast Garde at the club and hope to get back in favour with the next manager.

the daily mail was linking him with derby, qpr and leeds

Sending Jack out on loan to a Championship club?

Brilliant.  At last the Villa are showing some forward thinking.  That's one player who will know what to expect come August...

Gardner going back out on loan to Forest. I do find it a bit strange he has not been given a shot after playing well last season at Forest. I hope he is as good this time round and ready for us next season. That will be Baker, Grealish potentially, Robinson and  Gardner all in the Championship. So we will have some players with decent experience of it.

Senderos was not given a squad place in the 25. Strange as he is a better centre half than Richards and Okore was out.

I'm sure all three had opportunities to go out on loan but instead play with the u21s, not exactly setting the greatest example

It's not a bad idea to get some of the younger fringe players out on loan in the Championship for the rest of the season.  Monitor how they do and if they will be suitable next season if we are in that league.

robinson likewise and is now back at preston

gardner injury prone and back at a mid table side where he has been before

they all need to be shipped out permanently

My Brother-in-Law, a City Season Ticket holder and a gent who knows his football, thinks Baker has done extremely well (the odd brain-fade apart) and he says that's a view shared by those around him. There's plenty to complain about there but Baker isn't one of them.

Kozak has a squad number and maybe looked at Gestede and thought "if he's getting a game then there's no reason why I can't"
Footballer having confidence in his own ability shocker.  Maybe he wanted to stay at Villa because he trusted the medical staff at BH to work with him to complete his rehab.  Maybe he went to Glasgow and thought "f##k this."

I can't recall any mention of loan enquiries for the Senderos and N'Zogbia was rumoured to be on his way to one of the gulf states, in which case I can't blame him for not going.

I can't see Robinson being with us next season he could hardly get into the Bristol team, came back to us and straight out to PNE till end of the season when his contract expires. Hope he improves and proves me wrong.

On the contrary Baker is popular with the Bristol City fans, they like him. Robinson, who quite a lot of us rated, seems to be regressing at a great speed.Lets hope he gets his career back on track at Preston.

im not sure why the likes of kinsella, gardner, hepburn murphy, lyden havent been tried

then you look at donacien who is 22 and has been on loan for a season and a half and is playing in league two. cant understand what we are getting out of this

Sold him. My Wolves mates reckon he's been different class the last 10 games and are resigned to losing him. One described him as the best player they've had there for 5 years, which struck me as a little premature.

I'm surprised Kinsella hasn't been tried at left back considering the problems we've had in that position. With the return of Cissokho and Bennett he's bound to slip down the pecking order. A shame.

In Gardners defence, he did very well at Forest 2nd half of last season and was the victim of a horror tackle at Swindon in pre-season - can't really be put down to a injury prone on that one, can happen to anyone!

Would like to have seen him play at Wycombe :-(

My point  was that you confidently asserted he wasn't "pulling up any trees" at Bristol, but he is, at a level we'll soon be experiencing unless the sun starts rising in the west. There's plenty of actual stuff to be negative about without making it up.

So when we do ship him out, it's better if it's off the back of a season playing well rather than playing badly so we get more money for him.

I hope we can fuck Bacuna off soon. He's clearly having a ruddy marvellous time mugging the club of money every week. Pathetic player and another who's work-rate isn't really up to par at the moment. And lets face it, it was the only attribute the talentless fox hunt ever had.

(I'm partly referring to his latest instagram pic which can be seen on the "Sum up with a picture" thread.

I'm so sick of seeing some of these donkeys appearing week on week and being completely and utterly out of their depth at this level and not even running themselves into the ground to try and compensate for that. I'll happy support a plodder of a player if I feel like they've given absolutely everything. Very few of our current squad come even close.

I don't really understand the rationale applied here reference Gardner. Yet another player paid vast sums of money year after year who has contributed the square root of bugger all. You may as well rant in your local park predicting the end of days as wax lyrical about Gardner's worth to Villa.

He played very well for Forest last season. So clearly he is not a worthless cause. Indeed he is one if we let go permanently I would bet in 2 years we are bemoaning him playing for a mid table premier league side.

Rumours that Hepburn Murphy is off out on loan as well.

Went to Peterborough for their tie with PNE today and Callum Robinson came on as a sub for about the last half hour.

We had watched the Villa game in the pub before heading to the game, and I think Callum Robinson put in the best performance in a yellow shirt I saw today. Fast, skilful, natural ball control, and about 6 really dangerous crosses in the time he was on the pitch.

Sadly, I know he has been inconsistent because he hasn't been a regular for either PNE or Bristol City, but if he could find today's form on a regular basis, he would be well worth having.

If Remi is on the ball, which I believe he is, and Callum maintains some consistency, he will be back at VP for next season.

I don't know. I think he really needed to kick on this season. When we're in the championship there's no point keeping him and loan him again next season especially to another Championship team. Unless he bags 10 or so goals between now and the end of the season I think he'll be sold.

Anyone see Barry Bannan's goal for Sheff Wed yesterday? Top class. The lad has talent. Though I must say he's looking decidedly portly these days. Another one who needed to show a bit more gumption. Another what if. He has top flight ability but hasn't always had the attitude.
