So far the only definite is;
Callum Robinson has re-joined Preston on loan for the rest of the season.
Grealish rumoured to be on his way out on loan according to Simon Jones from the Mail.
Doesn't look like Gabby et al are on the move any time soon.
When does the transfer window close?
-
Joe Cole meant to be signing a permanent deal with Coventry this week.
Rumours continue of paying off N'Zogbia so he can go to MLS.
-
Flabby to Wolves. I am starting this rumour here.

On an 8 year contract. They want to make him an ambassador for the city.
-
meaning evil are linking him with wolves
can just see them matching the money he is on here

does that mean there'll be a deal to pay a portion of his remaining contract? If he's so desperate to go why cant it be mutually agreed termination of contract?
-
I mentioned to a QPR fan at work today that Grealish has been linked with going to them on loan. His response: "Oh no, why do QPR always go for those types of players!".

Interesting that Talk shite have been banging on about Grealish being sent out on loan to the Championship!

As they have got rid of Grant Holt much to the immense pleasure of the fans Kenny Jackett is hardly likely to take on a player of similar stature and girth.
-
Gabby may try to outlast Garde at the club and hope to get back in favour with the next manager.

grealish was the first subject on durham, saying how he had been treated diabolically because garde dared to drop him for taking the piss
the daily mail was linking him with derby, qpr and leeds

Unless Gabbys mom in the next manager I can't see that happening.
-
At least Cole wants to keep playing football, what excuse do leeches like Nzogbia, Senderos and Kozak have?
-
Sending Jack out on loan to a Championship club?
Brilliant. At last the Villa are showing some forward thinking. That's one player who will know what to expect come August...
-
Gardner going back out on loan to Forest. I do find it a bit strange he has not been given a shot after playing well last season at Forest. I hope he is as good this time round and ready for us next season. That will be Baker, Grealish potentially, Robinson and Gardner all in the Championship. So we will have some players with decent experience of it.
-

Not sure what the crack is with the other 2 but Kozak's just come back from 2 broken legs tbf to him & just not been selected up until Saturday
-
This is horribly bad taste I know, but can we convince them all to take an acid bath like in Breaking Bad?
-
Senderos was not given a squad place in the 25. Strange as he is a better centre half than Richards and Okore was out.
-
I'm sure all three had opportunities to go out on loan but instead play with the u21s, not exactly setting the greatest example
-
It's not a bad idea to get some of the younger fringe players out on loan in the Championship for the rest of the season. Monitor how they do and if they will be suitable next season if we are in that league.
-
if we end up relying on the likes of gardner, baker and robinson we will be in the championship for a long time
-
They will be useful in the Championship though. We will need a squad. There are a lot of games.
-
baker hasnt pulled any trees up at bristol
robinson likewise and is now back at preston
gardner injury prone and back at a mid table side where he has been before
they all need to be shipped out permanently

My Brother-in-Law, a City Season Ticket holder and a gent who knows his football, thinks Baker has done extremely well (the odd brain-fade apart) and he says that's a view shared by those around him. There's plenty to complain about there but Baker isn't one of them.
-

Kozak has a squad number and maybe looked at Gestede and thought "if he's getting a game then there's no reason why I can't"
Footballer having confidence in his own ability shocker. Maybe he wanted to stay at Villa because he trusted the medical staff at BH to work with him to complete his rehab. Maybe he went to Glasgow and thought "f##k this."
I can't recall any mention of loan enquiries for the Senderos and N'Zogbia was rumoured to be on his way to one of the gulf states, in which case I can't blame him for not going.
-
I can't see Robinson being with us next season he could hardly get into the Bristol team, came back to us and straight out to PNE till end of the season when his contract expires. Hope he improves and proves me wrong.
-
GG has had a string of injuries again this year. (Again)
-
didn't he get a contract extension too?
-
He did. I would have sooner played Gardner at the weekend to see if he was any use to us. I hope it means at least one midfield player is on the way in to the club.
-

12 months.

On the contrary Baker is popular with the Bristol City fans, they like him. Robinson, who quite a lot of us rated, seems to be regressing at a great speed.Lets hope he gets his career back on track at Preston.
-
The young lad at Wolves, Graham I think, is he on loan or did well sell him ?
-

I think we sold him. Doing very well at the moment.
-

totally agree
im not sure why the likes of kinsella, gardner, hepburn murphy, lyden havent been tried
then you look at donacien who is 22 and has been on loan for a season and a half and is playing in league two. cant understand what we are getting out of this
-

That's a shame, seen him a couple of times on the telly and looks to have something about him.

so baker doing well at a club who are in the bottom 3 of the championship is good for us in what way?
-
Just that it's better than if he were doing badly for a club in the Championship bottom three.
-
The young lad at Wolves, Graham I think, is he on loan or did well sell him ?
Sold him. My Wolves mates reckon he's been different class the last 10 games and are resigned to losing him. One described him as the best player they've had there for 5 years, which struck me as a little premature.
-
I'm surprised Kinsella hasn't been tried at left back considering the problems we've had in that position. With the return of Cissokho and Bennett he's bound to slip down the pecking order. A shame.
-
Where's Bennett these days ? i'm sure loaned him rather than sold him
-
Well one man we had on loan but don't anymore is Tiago Llori, most pointless signing ever, not played a minute of football, he's returned to Liverpool.
-
Where's Bennett these days ? i'm sure loaned him rather than sold him
Recalled from Bournemouth at the same time as Cissokho.
-
I don't think we even sold Jordan graham did we? I'm pretty sure we gave him away.
-
In Gardners defence, he did very well at Forest 2nd half of last season and was the victim of a horror tackle at Swindon in pre-season - can't really be put down to a injury prone on that one, can happen to anyone!
Would like to have seen him play at Wycombe :-(

so baker doing well at a club who are in the bottom 3 of the championship is good for us in what way?
My point was that you confidently asserted he wasn't "pulling up any trees" at Bristol, but he is, at a level we'll soon be experiencing unless the sun starts rising in the west. There's plenty of actual stuff to be negative about without making it up.
-
so baker doing well at a club who are in the bottom 3 of the championship is good for us in what way?
Would you prefer it if he were the reason they were in the bottom three of the Championship?
-
Joe Cole has signed for Coventry City on a free transfer until the end of the season
-

Would you prefer it if he were the reason they were in the bottom three of the Championship?
i would prefer it he like along with at least half of our squad were moved on like they should have been two years ago as he is nowhere near the quality we need

So when we do ship him out, it's better if it's off the back of a season playing well rather than playing badly so we get more money for him.
No?

I actually thought when we signed him that if he could keep him fit and he could find a bit of form he'd be an asset. How wrong was I?
-
According to East Midlands News last night GG is signing for Forest on loan with a view for a purchase in the summer when they are allowed to spend again.
-
Selling Gardner makes no sense at all. Played well down there last time for forest surely we should be keeping him next season.
-

I'm pretty sure that Gardner is our of contract in the summer (signed 12 month extension when out of contract last summer) so there'll be no purchasing involved.
-
Lots of papers talking about Nzogbia going to Greece Please Please Please let this be true.

Where are people getting this 12 months from, I've seen it a few times. He signed a new 3 year deal in August:

Couldn't remember where I saw it, and I've obviously fallen victim to slightly premature dementia.
-
I hope we can fuck Bacuna off soon. He's clearly having a ruddy marvellous time mugging the club of money every week. Pathetic player and another who's work-rate isn't really up to par at the moment. And lets face it, it was the only attribute the talentless fox hunt ever had.
(I'm partly referring to his latest instagram pic which can be seen on the "Sum up with a picture" thread.
I'm so sick of seeing some of these donkeys appearing week on week and being completely and utterly out of their depth at this level and not even running themselves into the ground to try and compensate for that. I'll happy support a plodder of a player if I feel like they've given absolutely everything. Very few of our current squad come even close.
-
Confirmed on OS that GG has been loaned to Forest until end of season.

He's not gonna make it at Villa is he. Shame, he looked like a decent prospect early on.
-
Will if he has another good 6 months there I would think he will be starting for us next season surely.
-
We have more chance of offloading Gabby before the end of this transfer window, than GG coming back between now and the end of the season.
-
Well quite. He has gone for a 6 month loan without a recall option you would presume as he is playing in the cup for them. I was talking about next season though.

I don't really understand the rationale applied here reference Gardner. Yet another player paid vast sums of money year after year who has contributed the square root of bugger all. You may as well rant in your local park predicting the end of days as wax lyrical about Gardner's worth to Villa.
-
I was amazed he got that contract extension - as you say, of marginal use, at best. Good luck to him though at Forest.
-
He played very well for Forest last season. So clearly he is not a worthless cause. Indeed he is one if we let go permanently I would bet in 2 years we are bemoaning him playing for a mid table premier league side.
Rumours that Hepburn Murphy is off out on loan as well.
-
Went to Peterborough for their tie with PNE today and Callum Robinson came on as a sub for about the last half hour.
We had watched the Villa game in the pub before heading to the game, and I think Callum Robinson put in the best performance in a yellow shirt I saw today. Fast, skilful, natural ball control, and about 6 really dangerous crosses in the time he was on the pitch.
Sadly, I know he has been inconsistent because he hasn't been a regular for either PNE or Bristol City, but if he could find today's form on a regular basis, he would be well worth having.

Thanks for the report, Amfy.
If Remi is on the ball, which I believe he is, and Callum maintains some consistency, he will be back at VP for next season.
-
I don't know. I think he really needed to kick on this season. When we're in the championship there's no point keeping him and loan him again next season especially to another Championship team. Unless he bags 10 or so goals between now and the end of the season I think he'll be sold.
-
when a player has come through the academy and has had a few years of coaching, playing and generally having an idea of what the club is about when they get to 21/22 they need to be able to play if required or got rid of.
-
Anyone see Barry Bannan's goal for Sheff Wed yesterday? Top class. The lad has talent. Though I must say he's looking decidedly portly these days. Another one who needed to show a bit more gumption. Another what if. He has top flight ability but hasn't always had the attitude.

Text book bullet header own goal by Nathan Baker tonight.
