Title: Stoke away
Post by: wittonwarrior on January 04, 2016, 10:51:23 PM
Their tickets are on general sale now.  Noting that we are considered a middle of the road entertainment.

Looks like we will have a large allocation in the South Stand and my bet is that tickets will be £34 a throw.

good news and bad news
good news , only 25 quid a ticket
bad news , only 1600 allocation

1600 when it's only £25? Are they taking the piss or just thick?

Only times we don't take 3k up there is when we play at midnight or thereabouts on Boxing day...they will surely take the second allocation especially if our form continues to pick up.

An odd allocation. Not sure how Nicola Keye can justify that one.

Is is, unless they're going to sell more at a later date. I've not seen nothing confirmed though.

You'd expect them to sell quickly, so the option is there for another if Stoke don't start selling.

I'm sure I've heard that the club don't take the full allocation, as they have to pay for any unsold seats if they're not taken.

We'd still sell out at that price even if it was moved to midweek, it's only up the road. We're taking 2000 to West Ham next Tuesday and that's on TV.

1500. I'm not convinced in our current position we'd sell 3000 for Stoke on a weeknight.

I won't miss the shit hole - the half mile long queue for a tube home after the game.

It's the slight feeling of elation you feel at seeing how close you are to the tube that is promptly dashed by the half a mile walk to join the back of the half a mile queue. The only ground we can categorically state we won't be going to next season. Hopefully we can add three more to the list rather than 17.

Even taking into account that you've never explained why they actively didn't want to sell tickets, they've just had that blinding flash of inspiration - so great that it's overruled their previous idea of not wanting us at games -  now, rather than after, say, any other away match in the past fifty years?

Sit down and I'll talk slowly. They took 1,600 because that's the minimum allocation. After selling them they realised the demand was there for the next batch so they had those as well.

And now they've got 3,000, or as near as makes no difference. Everyone's happy except you and your silly little Damascene conspiracy theory, for which you have still not provided an explanation although looking at your prevous posts that's probably just as well.

another factor is that the game will be moved if they get to LC final.
I managed to get 4 Monday with ST and 1 away on the initial allocation - so I would imagine still a few to shift.   Looking fwd to it anyway!

Since 'The Mighty Reds YNWA' won, this is now on the Saturday.

However, you should be warned that this also means that Legion will now be in attendance.

If anyone has an armoured car or tank that I can borrow for the day, please let me know  ;)

It's better to stop off in Stone or Stafford and get the train up. Avoid Hanley at all costs, Newcastle under Lyme isn't doing bad for the actual Stoke area.
