Ay it...
-
Was thinking that. Combination of international break and a sense of calm brought by the new manager. Nobody is taking the current situation for granted but I sense quiet optimism. Or at least the frantic atmosphere of Sherwood and the acknowledgment we were heading straight to hell has subsided just a little.
-
Been working long hours, nights drawing in, carrying a bad cold, bit under the weather, generally out of sorts leading to a general apathy of doing not a lot, not even putting my laptop on for a rant or an argument.

Don't worry the keyboards will be on fire tomorrow night after we beat the toffees in their own back yard.
C'mon you lions!!!

November is a frankly awful month in my opinion.

Mine starts with a bang then just fizzles out.

I think everyone's holding their breath waiting for results. Whichever way they go will determine the response that follows. Then we won't be quiet any more.

Let's just enjoy the lull before the Villa storm eh?

That's about right...
Win and we are onwards; draw and we have to hold our breath until Watford; lose and we are dooooomed

SAD time.

I'm still bricking it about all the lost points from earlier in the season, if Garde can keep us up then he's a Gallic genius. It's definitely possible but it's going to be hard going and probably won't do my blood pressure any favours. In a weird way I'm sort of hoping for instant results even though I know that goes against all common sense.

O'Leary was right, we really are fickle when we only moan when there's something to moan about.
-
November is a great month in Connecticut, you still get some decent weather before the Nor'easters arrive and dump 3ft of snow at a time. In fact, I've been desperately trying to increase my carbon footprint to keep the Winter away ;D
-
I've basically just been reading Monty & co's debate in the Paris shootings thread (and just general terrorism). I doth my cap. Some clever bastards with a lot of knowledge. I blame all the sex and drugs as to why I know fuck all.
-
We can't talk much due to international football, and we got a potential great manager, and Amavi's injury and transfer windows is closed. We will talk about a game we have this afternoon ;)
-
November is bound to be a problem month. We have Guy Fawkes' as our icon.

So that is why we have always been c*** in November.

These international breaks really are so-o-oo boring.
... At least we didn't lose last week 🤓
-
Been away for a week in Malta - lovely place - so took a break mostly. Just read about Amanvi that's a blow considering the alternatives.

Likewise Edgy and it has made me realise how little I know of matters beyond my own small world. I can't really blame a lifestyle of rampant sex and overuse of recreational drugs either which is, to say the least, a little disappointing.

The same here, football seemed very trivial after last Friday.

Couldn't agree more, literally nothing to see, nothing to talk about, plus the england games are on ITV, horrible channel. Everything to look forward to today, also I'm so sick of Rego and the like on WM saying Villa need a miracle, we are currently 5 points behind Newcastle not 25! A few wins, plus an addition or 3 in the transfer window things have to get better, sick of the mentality we are going down
-
Albeit we do need to start winning soon I would think.
-
I've been in mourning
-
It's always quiet during an international break. It's a bit of a pointless thread really.

Haha, well at 26 I feel too old for it now! I will hate finding out what an hangover is like in 10 years because I'm struggling now.
Seriously though when I was at school you did very little on the middle east. I studied history at school and college between 2001 and 2008 (and latterly uni but you have a greater choice of history subjects) and I don't recall doing much at all on that region. In fact in 2 years at college history was largely pretty much just the formation and rise of the US which seriously pissed me off. Obviously wouldn't lead you to have anywhere near the academic knowledge people like Monty has but I would be a little less ignorant to it all. I hope religious studies in schools are focusing on this as well.

Clamps I thought we were mates. You know me and pointless threads go hand in hand...
