I think he will start with Lescott at left back Okore at centre half and see how it goes. Time,I think, for Adama to make an impact.

Think we might sneak it 0-1, or 1-2. Used to be a happy hunting ground, Goodison. Hopefully we can produce a similar level of performance we achieved against City and with a bit of luck (again) jag the 3 points. Be nice for the French contingent if they can come away with a win to bring them a bit of relief from the events of the last week or so.

If we are going to stay up, this is exactly the sort of game we need to be picking up points in. Everton are a good side, but so are a lot of the teams this year. They are in a group of upper mid table teams that are decent, but realistically we need to be taking points off them. A draw minimum, but 3 points would be a real boost.

I do wonder how managers do these press conferences because are just so fucking crap. I don't know who's asking them, but questions "like should the French national anthem be sung at every game this weekend?" Ask him about the game, something in depth, do some research etc.

edit: well looks like it is going to be played, but my general point on press conferences stand. At least the answers are better now.

Think we will be solid for 75 minutes and Remi has us defensively sound setup to play away at a hard ground. We'll get a penalty or break for a goal and we're hanging on to claim the win.

Actually I think both Andy and Amelia did a great job. No offense to Jack but she just got through her interview in a far more professional manner. Andy Gray just came across as a bloke who still has a place in his heart for our club.

Fifteen years ago in November 2000, whilst I was painting the downstairs loo, Paul Merson scored a 35-yard screamer two minutes from time for us to win 1-0 at Everton. So, as I'm going tomorrow, I've just been painting the downstairs loo again and now fully expect a scintillating goal from Carlos Gil and another 1-0 win.

We need to see that we are moving in the right direction. That some of the football we started to play against Man City has been reinforced. That we are not afraid and we came out with a plan to beat Everton. In the end we might not but it won't be for the lack of ideas or intent to win.
