Didn't really want to start a new topic just to ask a few simply questions but...
I didn't have a booking history at all last season, what's the chances I could get 3 tickets for Aug 14th, 2 Villa fans and one Utd?
What's Birmingham like on a Friday night?
Cheers

You'll get the two Villa tickets no problem; the United ticket will be down to how they distribute theirs.

You will need a varied booking history for the Villa tickets over the past few seasons and your friend has no chance of the Man Utd ticket unless he is a member, etc

I assumed OP meant 3 tickets in Villa end?

I assumed OP meant 3 tickets in Villa end?
I kind of did but I let it pass.
See what happens early August.
-
Been on the official site to buy 3 tickets for this game which says they go sale today to supporters with a booking history. I didn't go at all last season and the season before we bought tickets from my friends account.
Will I be able to get 3 tickets from my account without a booking history for 2 seasons or my friends account?
If not is there a way on here I could purchase tickets from a fellow supporter who has a season ticket, a booking history from last season or has 3 tickets for the game they want to sell?
Cheers

I think you might struggle with people's generosity when you're openly trying to jib a Plastic into our end.
I think most people can tolerate the odd away fan, but not one of that lot.

I'll dig out an old Muller Rice top for him, he'll fit right in.

Including the one you've bought for a Manchester United supporter?

I hope you all get chucked out.

Taking a Man U fan into the Holte, WTF !! Plastic wankers
-
I have slight sympathy for Tuscans. I'm sure we all have mates who support other clubs and some have bought them tickets for the home end.
I have never and will never do this, not because they are 'plastics', but I'm concerned that they'll a)become embroiled with some Villa baboon who thinks that spotting an away fan in some way becomes 'open season' with regards to verbal and physical assault and b) the incident is tracked back to my booking history.
I have had many away fans sit in the Witton lane by me and 99% sit on their hands, keep quiet and applaud politely if Villa do manage to score a goal. I have no problem with these people.
Arrogant pricks like that 'super excited' Man U idiot from last season are always going to get a slap unfortunately. But that's no excuse for the histrionics that goes on from some home fans.
-
WOW!!
I have a friend who supports another team, who likes football and wanted to come up and watch the match with me and my other Villa friend.
We're not thugs or hooligans, he won't be wearing a Utd shirt or cheering if...when they score. I'm sure I've seen many a supporter wearing the oppositions shirt, sitting with the home fans on TV many a time.
Some of you are sounding like Roma Ultras, bit OTT some of the comments.
-
Some of us have beat this particular drum before Tuscans.
In an ideal world we could all sit side-by-side with opposition fans and watch the game, after all we work with opposition fans, are friends with opposition fans and can watch a game in a pub full of opposition fans with no problems whatsoever.
However, football supporting being the tribal hobby that it is, you don't take opposition fans into the Holte End, you just don't! Surely you have seen enough trouble before now when one gets outed, your mate might be the most well-behaved person in the World but it would take just one Villa fan to out him (an unfortunate utterance of "we" when talking about Man Utd or an inadvertant pumped fist when Young dives for a penalty) and he's liable to take the quick route down the steps like a fair few have done before him.
If you must do it then don't bloody tell anyone! Least of all a forum full of Villa fans who, as a general rule, really detest the gloryhunting twats!
I'm really not sure what sort of reaction you expected to be honest.

No I get it...I really do, but I'm big enough just to be honest about things.
I'm a grown man, taking a mate to the football, in fact his first game. We're going up for a night out, for a laugh with my other mate who's a Villa fan. I can't turn round and say, "You can't come to Birmingham with your mates because you support another team".
I find it pathetic to be honest, I'll take whoever I like, it's my money that's going back into Villas pockets. So what if he supports another team, he's never been to Old Trafford and I'm taking him to experience his first football match as a form of bloody entertainment. He's good mates with James Collins and he asked him many a time if he ever wanted tickets to go up he would sort him out, we all must wankers.
I bet half of you are hypocrites on here. You all have mates who support other teams, if you wanted a day out with them, a laugh, watch a bit of football, I'm sure you would get a ticket for them if they were a good friend.
What if my father supported another team and we both went up, same reaction? Or my kids supported another team, the same?
Some of you really know how to spoil a day out.

When you've already broken the ground regulations, it really isn't a good idea to gloat about the fact and then boast that you can do what you like.

I didn't know that but it happens at every ground. I went up to Villa Park as part of an under 12's end of season celebration. We went up with kids supporting all other kinds of teams, as well as the coach and manager too.
Didn't seem to be an issue then.
-
You really can't see the difference between a bunch of kids at an end of season nothing match and a Manchester United supporter who's never been to Old Trafford?

Of course there's a difference. But in your eyes you're seeing my mate wearing his Manc shirt and scarf, waving his arms in the air shouting "United, United". And I'm seeing a quiet 30 something old guy going up to experience a Premier League game for the first time who happens to watch the odd Man Utd game on TV.
How many husbands and wives, one supporting Villa and another, West Brom, Birmingham etc have gone up to watch the same game....you have an issue with that too?

As I've said many times, if someone is quietly sitting in the ground I don't care who they support. Others have a different view, and shouting the odds on here about what a stroke you've pulled and insulting anyone who thinks differently to you isn't the best way to get them onside.

"Master Stroke" and "Insult", don't twist words and interpret what I say into what *you* think they mean. There hasn't been an insult from myself nor any intention on my behalf in thinking I'm bloody superior because I "broke" the system.
I casually asked a question and was very straight in doing so. All someone had to say was that's not a very good idea at the time and I more than likely would of left it.
Now I know how Villakicks feels.

So your mate has never been to a football match and might not know the correct etiquette to be a Man Utd fan in the Holte End then?
As I say, one wrong move, gesture or inadvertant word and your big day out in Brum might well end up in Dudley Road A&E with him getting a few stitches put in.
It's a sad state of affairs indeed, and I wouldn't have a problem being sat next to him even if he was wearing a half and half scarf, but there are plenty who do, as you can see from just this small sample on this thread. Multiply that by a few thousand Holte Enders and an afternoon on the lager and...well surely you can see can't you?

Like I've said, without a doubt I get it.
But I think all of you are thinking my friend is a window whacking, wanker sign making, "come on theeeeen" yob, travelling up on a coach from Manchester. Just 3 buddies coming up from South Wales ( Oh no I've started another thing now ), going up to Birmingham for a night out who happened to ask him Man Utd supporting ( kind of ) mate to come up too.
I understand everyone's ill tempered views, if I've really pissed people off that bad then I'll leave it.

"Close the thread, I'm sorted," "hypocrites", "I find it pathetic". That's your words, untwisted. As for "I'll take whoever I like", you've just said you've broken the ground regulations.
-
If you're insulted by the word hypocrite then I would turn off your broadband.
And "Close the thread" is hardly boasting about buying a ticket for someone, more likely my question has been answered maybe!?
Seriously Dave, don't worry about it, I'm done sunshine.
-
A thirty year old bloke from South Wales whose never been to a game before. You can tell he's a Man United fan with out mentioning it.

Having read through the thread, I can't see anywhere it says Tuscans is sitting in the Holte End? If that's where you have bought your tickets, without wishing to open up the whole can of worms again, personally I'd move them to a different part of the ground (middle/upper Trinity ideally). Not saying those fans are any less passionate, they pay as much if not more than anybody, but there is more likely to be an incident in the Holte if there was a slip of the tongue imo.
-
I will be back in UK in August and hoping to try and get 2 tickets for this game for myself and my brother. Having lived abroad for more than 10 years I have no booking history, so can't buy tickets now, but will this game ever go on general sale? If not, no chance in me ever getting 2 tickets?
-
You could try contacting the supporters club in Singapore as this is affiliated with AVFC. Then maybe, you could contact the club directly to see if they could sort you out.

Thanks Pete, good idea. Cheers.

We had to move from the Upper Trinity because every time we played Manure or the scousers they were in there and my lad was always scared there was going to be trouble. Have had to tell several over the years about "etiquette" which was mostly well received. Not so positive was last season in the Upper Holte against Manure when 4 likely lads rocked up in their all black clobber and stood out like a sore thumb until we scored and then they were jostled and told it was best not to stay around - it set a tone for the rest of the match with people looking out for any more - a bit tense - that's why I don't want them near me!

Im in the same boat, been overseas for a number of years so my previous booking history is long gone.
Looking for 2 x adult tickets if anyone know of any going

Surely this is the last match you'd want to see if you are a Villa supporter and don't go to VP very often?
Wankers on the pitch and plastic wankers from Essex, Berkshire and Wales in the crowd who've never been near Manchester.
I find it a bit strange.

Definitely one to avoid

This is a game that's a pain in the arse from top to bottom. Thinly disguised United fans all over the ground, people wandering around with no idea where their seats are (because they e never been here), people taking pictures at every corner/free kick (openly outing themselves as United tourists) and the obligatory witch hunt with every away goal where some twat thinks it's ok to celebrate in the home areas. And half and half scarves.
-
half and half scarves now I have heard everything. How disgusting, next it will be half Bloos/half Villa - I promise you now I would give up if that happened
