Not sure if this has been mentioned before or is already in a post somewhere but if not see here:
http://www.celebritiesmoney.com/aston-villa-fc-salaries-2015-squad-worth-106-million/
not sure how accurate it is but this site does something similar every year for all clubs.

Indeed, as the article says, who can forget Peter Weigh?
-
Although in Euros, it has Vlaar on over 100K a week, Given on 7K and Zog on less than 25K. I think it's fair to say it's not accurate.
-
Is Villadawg writing that, I've never seen such a load of bollocks in my life. Yes, Alan Hutton is on less than £10K a week.
-
Hutton was on less than folks used to say he was.
-
That's a right load of shite.
-
Footballers are looking like peasants these days compared to the new Mercedes deal for Lewis Hamilton...
£33,333,333 per year
£641,026 per week
£91,575 per day
£3,816 per hour
£63.60 per minute
...I'm not even sure there's a word to describe how obscenely outrageous that is.

I agree. i think this is more accurate.

Are you sure that's not a screen grab from the Commodore 64 or Spectrum version of Football Manager by Kevin Toms?
I think we should buy Steve Archibald for £1000 and Arnold Muhren for £333 next week going at 1982 prices!

I always wondered what the 'w' stood for at the beginning of your surname. ;)
-
Benteke market worth £10m ish, Vlaar earning nearly £100k p/w, Hutton on less than £10k, Joe Cole on around £6k a week, Given £5k a week. As inaccurate as the Blues honours list in their diary.
-
Does make you wonder though if there is a modicum of truth to any of it that Chris Herd is on 10 grand a week - no wonder he rolls about Sutton in his Bentley.
Not bad for a guy who hardly kicks a ball
-
Weimann on €43k /week? - I doubt it.

What he earns in a day takes me around 5 years. When it's black and white like that it's incredible. And depressing.

At least with him there's the danger element.
-
He earns more each day having slashes than a lot of people earn in a week.
-
Getting paid £63.60 a minute would be really awkward if it was cash in hand. You'd never find time to get any telly watched.
-
£63.60 a minute. Every time I had sex i'd earn nearly £50!
-
Always good fun this type of stuff but I used to work in banking and saw the actual money many top players were paid. The press figures always exceeded what they were paid in reality.

Oh Dave but you don't know what I do.
I'm the Smethwick Jack Bauer.

The figures quoted on the BBC £27m per year including bonuses so there's an element of productivity in there. While to us it is an outrageous amount of money, it also has a large degree of individual skill and a high level of danger while someone like Rooney is a quoted figure of £10.5m per year whether he plays or not and can float in and out of games. I'd say his salary is also obscene and outrageous for what he does.
-
Those figures were taken directly off SSN yesterday...so wouldn't be surprised if they aren't accurate.
Footballers wages are grossly obscene and outrageous for what they do, so I can only imagine high profile sportsman wages are directly linked to sales...Mercedes for example could justify Hamiltons extortionate salary in car sales worldwide.
