Bloody hell we played some good stuff that season. Lovely hold up play from Savo for no 2.
-
I remember being amazed that Dwight Yorke was wearing white boots that day. I can't remember any player in the country wearing them before then although I'm told Alan Ball was one of, if not the first. But in 1996 any other colour than black boots was still rare. Another reason why football was just better in the 90's.

Liquid football. What a side that was. I think we should have had a little more faith in Savo. Cracking player on his day. Stan's arrival pretty much signalled the end for him.

It's all good until the next video that automatically starts is Chelsea 8-0 Villa.
-
Love the state of the penalty area!

Grobbelaar got an inordinate amount of stick that day.
-
Didn't Grobbelaar spend part of his warm up down in the Trinity-North Stand corner, trying to curl shots into the goal from the corner flag? Or did I dream that?

Dwight Yorke, what a player.
