But for a different reason to usual.

Excellent read as always.
To me PL must have done a superior blag job to Fox to convince him to have 'faith' and get the Arse and Chavski games out of the way and a better chance to get 3 points vs Hull.
As that game was a complete example of his tenure - Fox must have been so enraged he didn't even give him the courtesy of a face to face after.

I am just happy at the way we are playing even if we go down, which is possible of course. Its entertaining, and that is something we have not
seen at Villa Park for a few seasons. Hopefully Sunderland will keep us up. In fact I am sure they will.

Great article, as usual Dave.
I'm still feeling hurt from the way that we were robbed on Saturday and at how super-rich FC got away with it during daylight!
-
Bit of a conundrum really. Entertaining football yet lose or grind out the points to stay up. Think sherwood said he doesn't see us capable of grinding results out (he's correct) therefore this is our approach now for the next 5 games.

"What we play like that? And we get relegated? You're having a larf ain't ya!?

I'm loving the football Sherwood is playing, it's the polar opposite to the crap Lambert served up. Stay in this league by hook or by crook and next season is going to be very interesting indeed. As DW said, if only Lambert was sacked earlier we wouldn't be in such a perilous position in the league.

I agree. One of the many positives is TS has now got the midfield finally scoring, both Cleverly and Sanchez in the same match, who'd have thunk it??!! Imagine the odds on that accumulator? Hopefully others (from unexpected positions) will continue to chip in with goals in these last 5 (season defining) matches.

I agree with you about PL being sacked too late. I still feel nervous about the next few games, even though we're playing like a team in the top rather than the bottom 6

Good article. Just hope we haven't left it too late.
