We must have pissed them off Big time by pissing on Stevie's parade!
From the Beeb.
Aston Villa have been charged by the Football Association for the pitch invasion at the end of their 2-0 FA Cup quarter-final win against West Brom.
Some home fans ran on to the Villa Park pitch in injury time and at full-time while seats were thrown from the away fans' stand at the match on 7 March.
A number of West Brom players appeared to be pushed by fans on the pitch.
Reading face the same charge after supporters encroached on to the pitch in their last-eight win over Bradford.
Both Aston Villa and Reading have until 23 April to respond to the charge.
The FA - which could give both clubs a heavy fine - described the scenes at Villa Park as "disturbing".
West Brom used the same term as they accepted Villa's public apology for the incidents "in the spirit with which it was intended".
Cheshire Police's Mark Roberts, the national lead officer for football policing, questioned playing the tie at 17:30 GMT on a Saturday evening.

Wankers to a man the FA.
-
Aston Villa should in turn describe the FA's charge as 'a load of old bollocks'
-
Will Morrison and McCarthy (I think?) be charged for assaulting Villa fans?
In a clip that someone posted McCarthy clearly pushes a fan and Morrison trips another who just gets up and carries on running.
Tossers!

We let them bastards walk all over us.

I think they wanted a response to get a replay or an eviction for us,
Luckily we didn't give the low life vermin scum anything to squeal about.
Yes they squealed anyway but to no avail. Scum

The FA are twats. I feel bad for Reading to be honest. We both have the same "charge" and so likely the same fine. If its the hundreds of thousands being speculated upon then that would wipe out their semi money.
Insane that West Brom are not charged for their fans actually dangerous behaviour.
-
As long s we get the same as Cambridge did for their fans on the pitch celebrating the win then I'll think it's fair.
-
Do I give a ****!
-
Why has it took them over a month to decide this?

I presume we are still awaiting their apology for the behaviour of their fans.

That's the thing. Not sure why we haven't pushed that side of things more. But, I think we just want to get on and win the thing rather than getting into a slanging match. Also, I think the club had do do something publicly after we had been warned about our future conduct after many a sending-off and just wanted to head the FA off at the pass. As much as trying to minimise the inevitable fine (probably large) given how many times we've been spoken to over the past few months. Regarding the Albion thing the police are still dealing with it aren't they? Therefore there is very little the club could or should say at this point. Also, you can never guarantee that your own moronic fans won't do something similar (on a lesser scale perhaps) at their ground so no need to say much publicly - probably just behind the scenes and I reckon the insurance will have covered the damage. If not the bill will have gone to the Albion.
I think we've handled it maturely.
-
I'm not surprised about the charge to be honest, especially as we ran on the pitch whilst the game was still on. Reading being charged is a bit petty though.
-
Did we really apologize? What for?
We should have sent them the bill for damage caused.

There's no pitch invasion quite like The FA Cup pitch invasion...

Were they charged? Were any of the others who had pitch invasions in the earlier rounds?

that may have been a false start the ref blew for a fowl I.think and some supporters thought it was the final whistle, that mistake can be made.

It might have been a false start, but it also just looked atrocious. I think most fans including the majority at the ground who joined in the after the final whistle booed the ones who went on first. I also think Reading have only been done because it happened the same weekend as ours.
The VP invasion was probably the only one this season that caused a delay of game and also had players including our own saying it was scary out there. Delph probably didn't help our cause with that quote no matter how it was meant as most people would have only seen it written down multiple times in print. And the BBC coverage would have also influenced the decision as well.

I thought the ref chickened out personally.

What about retrospective fines for past pitch invasions starting with Hereford in the 70's.
Edit - just remembered they went bust and no longer exist!

Maybe too late for Hereford, but on that basis Man Fucking Utd owe teh FA approx. £1 squillion for their behaviour over the last 15-20 years at Villa Park. ******.
