Villa: Guzan, Bacuna, Vlaar, Clark, Richardson, Cleverley, Delph (c), Sanchez, Grealish, Agbonlahor, Benteke.
Subs: Given, Baker, Okore, Weimann, Cole, N’Zogbia, Lowton.
Spurs: Vorm; Chiriches, Dier, Fazio, Rose; Bentaleb, Mason; Townsend, Eriksen, Chadli; Kane (c)
Subs: Friedel, Davies, Yedlin, Lamela, Paulinho, Stambouli, Soldado
-
Not pleased to see Richardson get another shot but tempered by the fact Walker isn't playing for them. I'd have been really worried then. As it is maybe he can help down that flank where Spurs won't be as aggressive. I do worry down the other side though as Rose does like to get forward. Bacuna up against gash full backs looks good but Rose will keep him occupied.
-
Vlaar and Richardson again. Lord help us.
-
Poor line-up.
-
Richardson retains his place!?
-
Can't believe Richardson has kept his place at LB after Tuesday night. Would rather have seen Lowton there.
-
Don't have good vibes after seeing team, seem far too open, would have put Lowton and Baker in. Richardson needs support if he is gonna avoid another nightmare.
-
Stability is good. First time Sherwood's picked the same XI in consecutive games? Let's go lads.
-
Richardson again FFS
-
Looks like Sherwood is backing his instincts here.
-
Surprised he's gone with the same team. Richardson and Vlaar need to up their game a lot. We really could do with a win here.
-
Sherwood said in his pre-match press conference that if we go down, we'll go down on the front foot. I don't like hearing our manager talking about us going down almost with a sense of inevitability.
-
Townsend will get right into both of our fullbacks ... could be ugly.
-

It certainly is a change from "We'll be fine".
-
Richardson ffs
If it was Kevin Id be more happy and at his age
-
Richardson performs the worst left back display I have ever seen in my life but somehow retains his place.
I can see the logic if he was any good going forward, you sacrifice his inability to defend - but he gave the ball away so much when going forward as well as his shocking defending skills. I'm amazed.
-
I don't know what Okore has done to deserve the drop. Vlaar didn't do much on Tuesday and Okore has been our best defending in the second half of the season. It is again the defence which worries me I think Shancez needs to have a good game today.
-
I really hope I'm wrong but I haven't been confident about this game all week. Come on Villa surprise me and win.
-
We should be playing Okore for his pace. He'll need to help out Bacuna who struggles against quick opposition. Richardson will probably have a torrid time against Townsend.
I'm not fancying our chances of conceding less than 2.
I do fancy us to score though. Hopefully it'll be close, but if Spurs turn up today, we'll get shredded to pieces.
-
How is Lowton stuck on the bench when Richardson put in one of the worst displays by a professional left back that I've seen in ages? How does Vlaar come into the team, muck up our defending, then retain his place? How is Joe Cole still on the bench? I'm not impressed with that team.
-
As others have said, Richardson starting after Tuesday's horror show?
Really? With Lowton on the bench?
And Vlaar again, despite looking rubbish during the week?
-
I'm really pretty disappointed with that line-up. If it was the case that Richardson 'had a point to prove' or something, then I could sort of see it, but the fact that Vlaar is playing again suggests that this is Sherwood's preferred option at the back, which given Okore's performances and promise, seems a bit odd.
Oh well, we'll see I suppose.
-
Where's Cissokho? Not on our injury list on Physioroom
-

Its Sherwood being conserative and going for the safe/he'll put a shift in experience option, but I agree with the pace Spurs I think its a mistake.
Think at the other end we need to be direct and to get players like Delph, the wingers and Gabby and CB pushed up the field from the off. We need to make it an ugly game and out muscle Spurs in midfield if not they will just run circles around us.
Their not in the confiderent mood which Man Utd were last week so I do see chances for us if we can hold our own a not concede in the first 20-30 minutes.
-
Where's Cissokho? Not on our injury list on Physioroom
Perhaps there's a ladies' athletics meeting today he's taking part in.
-
Come on Villa surprise me and get three points today.
-
Really annoyed Richardson is in, It's hardly like he offers anything special going forward to make up for him not being a defender. Okore being left out continues to baffle me too.
Still think we can get something though.
-
Let's just hope Sherwood showed Richardson on film how utterly gash he was and that this is his last chance. Though not sure this is the kind of opponent I'd be fucking around with on second chances. We'll see how it goes. As a professional you have to hope Richardson realizes he wasn't good vs QPR and puts in a much better display. Vlaar wasn't as bad but it wasn't his best either, so he needs to come through today.
-
Going to have to defend a whole better than we did on Tuesday.
I have a feeling we'll pull off a surprise win today. 🙏🏻
-

I see Richardson as a solid squad player not much else, but if you play him then it should be in midfield or out wide.

My thoughts exactly Monty - not happy with this blokes team selections at all . I said on Tuesday he is a clueless chancer - and sticking with the same team selection after Tuesday backs that up .
Thought we could get a point at Spurs if the right team was selected - think this team will get beat easily .
-
Don't like the choice of Vlaar over Okore and I agree that the choice of Richardson instead of Lowton is ridiculous. Hope Kane has a Burnley day.
As an aside, it's a sign of how far we've sunk that Swansea are now on 47 points. Swansea ffs?
-
Richardson is an ideal squad player to have on the bench and at a push he could start as left midfield. However he's not up to starting at left back anymore.

Isn't it rather a sign of how far Swansea have risen? And a sign of what can happen with a consistent approach to hiring and developing, both players and managers.

Forget about Swansea, we are struggling to compete with Stoke, Palace and Wet Spam ::)
-
Cutting out basic errors would help us and how many goals have we conceded when various players seemed to have 'switched off' and lost their man. That is down to lack of concentration rather than lack of basic skills.
-
*sees the line-up, decides to go out shopping...*
-

Think you're being too kind there. He's not very good, I'd like to think our standards are higher than that.
-
If Spurs score first - I'd like to see Mason sent off and then us winning 2-1 with Grealish getting the winner.
-
that camera angle is awful
-
Great start...seem up for this
-
There goes that slow dirge - one of the many things I hate about Spurs
-
poor from richardson there
well played jack
-
If Spurs score first - I'd like to see Mason sent off and then us winning 2-1 with Grealish getting the winner.
Fixed.
-

Afternoon all, that really annoys me too.
-
gale saying to be fair to lambert
he didnt have the tools ffs
-
that camera angle is awful
It is.
-
Oh dear. Looks like they've done their homework and attacking down their right.
-
richardson caught there
-
Tony Gale talking up Clarks chances of playing for England. ha ha. Quality commentary.
-
Richardson fucks up again - lucky not to cost us. Again
-
Rico is just as bad as Tuesday
-
If Spurs score first - I'd like to see Mason sent off and then us winning 2-1 with Grealish getting the winner.
Fixed.
I'd still like young Jack to score the winner!

File under irrelevant bullshit from a no nothing wanker.
Just like everything else he utters.

Oops. Went too far with the strike out text.
Agree about Jack!
-
Putting pressure on Richardson..it ain't rocket science. Sherwood must carry the can as well.No use using Richardson as his scapegoat.
-

Agreed, we look wide open down that side. I'd rather see Lowton there.
-
Somebody has got to cover Richardson.
-
I thought Lowton had done ok
I thought Okore had too
-
Somebody has got to cover Richardson.
with a tarpaulin!
-
Somebody has got to cover Richardson.
To be fair to Richardson there was very little cover for him on Tuesday and it sounds like a similar situation today. Delph gets drawn into the centre, Grealish is is trying to play No 10 in the centre so our left side is very wide open.
-
Nearly great ball by Cleverley
-
Somebody has got to cover Richardson.
The one of the big weaknesses of the diamond formation unless you've got top class full backs.
-
Richardson is not a fullback, Sherwood must see that!
-
injury to KC
-
Shit. Clark injured
-
Shit.
-
I thought Lowton had done ok
I thought Okore had too
Apparently it's all about who's been "on fire" in training though, init.
Good job Sherwood never had to manage God.
-
Bollocks. Clark down with no one near him.
-
injury to KC
KC ??
And the sunshine band?
Ciaran with a C?
-
we have no bloody luck
-
If that's a knee injury, it could be him done for the season.
-
injury to KC
KC ??
And the sunshine band?
give it up
-
Baker looking likely instead of Okore?
What??
-
We could do without Clark being injured, he's our best defender.
-
We get way too many injuries. Needs investigating.
-
Baker in for Clark.
-
bacuna ffs
-
Great technique from Bacuna there.
-
Leicester and Stoke both a goal down (apols if this has already been posted - not checked...)
-
We get way too many injuries. Needs investigating.
Was it from a challenge?
-
Leicester have just equalised.
-
I can't really explain why but I detest Spurs. The Birmingham City of North London.
-
Leicester and Stoke both a goal down (apols if this has already been posted - not checked...)
Leicester just equalised.
I think I'd rather they won today.
Boggies have got some awful fixtures left and I can't see Leicester staying up at our expense.
-
come on villa you get a result here
-
We get way too many injuries. Needs investigating.
Clarke was injured when he was bundled over making a clearance
-
We get way too many injuries. Needs investigating.
Was it from a challenge?
Looked like he twisted his knee as he came down from jumping for a header.
-
Difficult to follow what with the shadow on the left hand side. We are doing well though. Vlaar is keeping Kane very quiet.
-

If Baggies lose today they could (with a bit of luck) implode - in which case we and others can overtake them.
-
Fucking hell now Bacuna's down.
-
Looks like Bacuna's going to have to come off.
-
Unbelievable. We must be breaking a record with injuries, surely. Not just breaking it, but smashing it.
-
hes ok
-
We get way too many injuries. Needs investigating.
Was it from a challenge?

Thinking more poor Physio regime
-
To me the spurs players have both left one in on the challenges that have led to the injuries, nothing too obvious but pretty cynical.
-
Looks like Leandro's run it off.
-
Baggies winning again, come on Villa!!
-
Great air shot by Benteke
-
guzan saves

Bollocks. Bluenose Gardner has just put them ahead again.
-
sanchez likes giving it away
-
That all came from Sanchez losing possession in a dangerous area
-
Carlos getting caught a lot again. He's going to cost us today.
-
Well, we're not playing gung-ho today.
-
delph doing ok
-
We would be a half decent side if we didn't give away possession so badly. Needs investigating.
-
well done bacuna
-
oh fuck thought we were in
-
Gabby on side. Poor decision
-
Fucking hell lino. Miles onside there.
-
looked onside
-
easily onside. loada shit.
-
Miles on-side
-
Wireless says miles onside.
-
The sainted Jack isn't exactly doing a lot.
-
gooaallll

-
Good ball from Bacuna.
Cleverley has impressed me today.
-
Excellent play from Cleverley for that goal
-
BEAST in the air, absolute beast
He can literally do everything. Simply a magnificent CF.
-
Bacuna can cross and Benteke can score. All is well in the world again!
-
richardson tackles
-
Fucking yes!!
-
God he's nearly as good as Benty!!
-
The Beast is well and truly in the house.
Let's rip these guys apart now.
-
"Cristiano" Benteke strikes again.
-
If Sherwood has done nothing else he has done exactly what people said he did with Adebayor. He has instilled confidence in the big man and he starting to look again every bit the Ł40m striker we all thought he was 2 years ago.
-
I fancy a Benteke hat-trick...
-
brilliant jump, took the defender out of the game before the ball had got to them.
We've got the give him whatever it takes to get him to stay, I'll offer up 1 night a week with my missus, anyone else got anything to add?
-
Benteke's got the beating of their CH's. Keep pumping it into him.
-
Excellent play from Cleverley for that goal
While Benteke is rightly pick up so many plaudits for his current performances, and Sherwood too for getting them out of him, I think Cleverley has also improved massively since Sherwood arrived - on these types of performances I'd love for us to sign him up!
-
BEAST in the air, absolute beast
He can literally do everything. Simply a magnificent CF.
Absolutely true. He's got everything in his locker you would want from a forward.
I'll be sad to see him go because let's be honest, he's too good for Villa at this present time.
-
ericken ha ha ha ha
-
Hope he smiled at Mason on his way back to the half way line.
-
I fancy a Benteke hat-trick...
Pessimist!!
-
Hope he smiled at Mason on his way back to the half way line.
Why?
-
I'd like to see Gabby and Grealish pulling a bit wider. Make us a 4-5-1 defending and get them against fullbacks in attack. Lets get some crosses into Benteke.
-
Important we get in still 1-0 up.
-
Hope he smiled at Mason on his way back to the half way line.
Why?
The sending off at Villa Park
-

He can have one of my delicious frozen curries.
-
A goal would do Grealish the world of good today.
-
Bit worried about Sanchez. He's getting turned time and again.
-
Hope he smiled at Mason on his way back to the half way line.
Why?
The sending off incident - little weasel
-

Ah yes of course!

I can offer Benteke a Yamaha APX10 guitar in reasonable condition with upgraded tuners and a pair of KEFS 104/2 speakers worth every inch of Ł400 ovno
-
Jesus christ.......
-
That would have been nice - Gabby
-
Unlucky. Benteke's battering them.
-
That's massively unlucky, very composed hit by Gabby
-
well done Villa
-
HT
-
I have 270 Rand (Ł15) left over from my recent trip to Cape Town. Benteke can have that.
-
Good half. Played well and should have been 2 up.
-
Spurs look very ropey and very much like they have nothing to play for. This is a real chance.
-
Great half - it was similar to QPR without the silly goals. We've been looking really good going forward recently no doubt.
-
Didn't want that half to end. Five live is covering the national second half. Any other stations with commentary.??
-
Benteke has won every single header this half. Gabby very unluckly.
-
Cleverely playing well
-
Good half. Played well and should have been 2 up.
Same as last Tuesday - need to play better in 2nd half this time.
-
Benteke is too good for their defence, he's totally in charge.
-
So far so good. It was particularly pleasing to keep the lead through to half time. We kept our heads. It should be 2-0.
Cleverley's been very good this first half. Benteke has won everything in the air.
I'd like to see our midfield play a little wider though. Get Gabby and Grealish up against their full backs, and also it allows us to defend in a wider bank, as Spurs are getting too much space wide. I'm not sure today is a game to have someone playing in the hole. Grealish is doing well when he gets on the ball, but we're not getting it to him enough. Put him out wide and getting him running at their right back. More importantly, we need to keep pelting crosses into the Beast.
-
Good qualuity goal

I have 270 Rand (Ł15) left over from my recent trip to Cape Town. Benteke can have that.
Blimey, the Rand has gone down in value. When I was in Cape a town in the 70s, they were worth about 60p each.
-
They'll come at us even harder after the break, please let that be our poor half because as we all know we go to sleep when we return.
-
Enjoyed that. Benteke is in unreal form at the moment.
-
Great half and good that we didn't concede a late goal. The Beast is absolutely slaughtering them and our passing looks good too. Great to hear the fans in good voice. Can hardly hear Spurs.
Injury to Clark is a blow but I thought Baker has done ok. Cleverley has done well again but Sanchez has given it away too much. Can't grumble though!
-
I'm pleased so far more of the same Villa Gabby was unlucky.
-
Should be 0.3.
-
Benteke is Laursen'esque when it comes to leaping like a salmon and putting it where it hurts,
-
I know this shouldn't matter but I hope we not only get this win for us (obviously) but for Sherwood too. He'd never admit it but it has to be massively important to him personally. I think the fact that openly admits loving being Villa manager is partly down to him feeling aggrieved at not being extended at Spurs. We are a big club and he wants to get things right so going back to Spurs and winning there would offer some vindication that he can do the job at this level., and maybe they were hasty in getting rid of him.
Off course a good ways to go an Spurs will come at us. It will be a big test now for us to go on and win this game. We can do it, and we look so good against their back line so far.
-
Only downside is Clark going off. I've never known injury problems like we've had the last 4 or 5 years.
-
Sounds like a good first half, but again we should have scored more. I really hope we don't pay for it again. Come on Villa we need to win this game.
-
Agree - and the injuries always seem to be long term. We don't seem to see players back in a week or two of getting injured
-

If we match Burnleys commitment, work rate and desire ( Alan Hanson anyone ) from last week then Spurs won't even score today. There's more goals here for us if the carry on like that second half.
-
Only downside is Clark going off. I've never known injury problems like we've had the last 4 or 5 years.
Did it look bad? Could be a blessing with the yellow cards reset after this game if it's not a bad injury.
-
Good performance so far - though fingers crossed that Spurs continue blasting any opportunities they get over the bar
-
Excellent goal, especially like the unselfish run by Cleverley that allowed Bacuna the time and space to put the cross over. He has been my player of the half but a long way to go, Rose has far too much space on their left and we may need to change style a bit. Benteke will love beating these tossers after his pathetic sending off with that little arse at VP
-
Now ffs Villa get the basics right second half..If they do score I would rather it be down to a moment of brilliance rather than us gifting them a goal.
-
Only downside is Clark going off. I've never known injury problems like we've had the last 4 or 5 years.

Seemed to jar his knee when heading a corner away
-
I'm sat visitng my mom in Sandwell Hospital, she's made me turn off hospital radio which is broadcasting WM, fortunately did hear the goal alert. I'm discretely following events on my mobile.
-
Benteke can have my collection of early drum and bass records, including the really rare white label that's worth a bit. He can also have the bottle of chocolate and vanilla stout that I've been saving. And my Mrs.
-
Not that it matters to us but they've just shown the half-time highlights from the other games.
At the end of the sequence the presenter says "I know we haven't shown the highlights from Sunderland v Palace but there's nothing worth showing. Absolutely nothing worth showing."
:)
-

Doug's got a nice tan.

Has the second half started.

Palace score!

At least Douglas is there.

Tghe tottenham player (was it Chadli) nudged into him whilst he was in the air so he came down funny, not sure if it was intended or not but it definitely put him off balance. I don't think it'll be a bad, just a strain I reckon.
-
Palace 2 up at Sunderland
-
Palace 2 up!
-
Impressed with what Pardew has done despite him having a face you want to introduce to a vice.

Good Clark deserves a start at Wembley more than anyone else this season
-
I believe if we get a second they might throw in the towel. Spurs are like that.
-
3-0 Palace
-
Saints 1-0 Hull
-
3-0 Palace
Did they reappoint Poyet?
-
Christ under a bit of pressure now.
-
And 3-0 to Palace.
Sunderland are in a world of shit now.
-
Palace 3 up.
Hull losing too now 1-0
-
Palace 3 up now. Sunderland and Hull both in big trouble.
-
C'mon Palace, smash them
-
Spurs are getting closer here...
-
Christ under a bit of pressure now.
It was always going to happen. We need to ride this out hit them on the break and score. They'll fold like a cheap tent then.
-
Just win this Villa. This could be our day. Please.
-
Hull losing 1-0
-
Any radio commentary feeds??
-
My knees are getting sore on this prayer mat!
-
This has the potential to be a bloody great weekend.
-
fook im nervous
-
The as it stands table looks pretty decent right now.
-
Ron Vlaar is having a fine game.
-
I've just told my wife and my brother-in-law to speak in Polish, because frankly I'm not listening.
-
They're getting too close now.
-
Phew, what a day this is, I kinda love them in a weird sort of way. At least we aren't going to lose ground to anyone today by the looks of it even if we lose this, though Burnley still to play of course. That's how negative these days get you!!!

He is. I was disappointed to see him picked today but he has certainly done very well so far.
-
Ron Vlaar is having a fine game.
He is, no sign or sign, he's playing well. Let's hope he doesn't have a 93rd minute loss of concentration though.
-
Pressure's building. Just got to hope the lads can hold out. It's a big ask but we could do it.
-
Thursday got promoted at work.
Friday had the day off, the weather was nice and I got pleasantly drunk.
Saturday, 3 really important points against the team I hate most outside of our local rivals??? Please!!!
-
When fit Vlaar is a quality defender.
-
Got away with that.
-
Weimann for Grealish
-
Grealish off Weimann on.
-
going for the 1-0 then now
-
Thursday got promoted at work.

Saturday, 3 really important points against the team I hate most outside of our local rivals??? Please!!!
I'll drink to that. Well done on the promotion too
-
Soldado...hasn't scored in ages.
Fuck, I can feel a migraine coming on.
-
Weimann needs to put a shift in here now.
-
Weimann on for Grealish.
-
Score a goal for us Andi.
-
Weimann needs to put a shift in here now.
I don't doubt he will put in a shift, it's the end product we need more.
-
Ha ha. Palace 4 up
-
Palace 4 up
-
4-0 to Palace now, Dickhead's honeymoon period lasted all of one week there!
-
Palace got 4 now
-
4-0 Palace. Bolaise hat-trick.
-
Soldado being an arsehole same as at VP. Trying to wind us up again
-
Win today and 4 points from QPR and today was what most would have hoped we would be able to get. Even if it happens in reverse so to speak by only getting the point at home.
Let's keep it going Villa. Keep your concentration and get a second.
-
keeping the ball again
-
I'm sure a few weeks ago Sunderland had far superior goal difference to us. This is a good result for us.
-
Well in Andi.
-
Sunderland getting battered again mentally has to see them down and out. How on earth do you recover from that on the back of a mangerial change?
-
weimann having a drink already - hes only just come on
-
he comes cole
-
Cole getting ready to come on.
-
How many sodding injuries can we get!!!!
-
maybe not
-
Gabby's fucked now, for fucks sake. We have no luck.
-
You have to laugh at the Barcodes fans. They sack their manager, their new one presides over an abject defeat away to their hated rivals, and their old manager takes a 'little' team there and duly spanks 'em. It's poetic.
-
*Just in case - please no spoilers on the National. I've got a couple of nags and have recorded it to watch after*
-
Actually he might be ok.
-
23 mins ( years ) to go
-
Gabby back on now, limping about
-
pass the fucking ball man could have been two there
-
Fun fact. In Tim's 8 league games we've scored 12, same as we scored in 25 under Lambert.
-
Tottenham are a nasty side, for all the nice football Pochettino is still an Argentine defender and he's bought in all the niggly, nasty shit that you'd expect.
-
Gabby off for Cole
-
Cole for Gabby.
-
Come on Villa.
-
When was the last time we saw out a comfortable 1-nil from the first half?
-
delph now
-
When was the last time we saw out a comfortable 1-nil from the first half?
I think 1-0 is the only way we're going to win this now.
-
Sanchez's level is dropping.
-
When was the last time we saw out a comfortable 1-nil from the first half?
Stoke, 1st game of the season?
-
Can i suggest training consists of riding exercise bikes next week. No physical contact!!
-
18 minutes remaining of Joe Cole looking very tired indeed.
-
weiman limping
-
Vlaar has been imperious today.
-
Under the cosh a bit
-
backs to the wall
-
Can i suggest training consists of riding exercise bikes next week. No physical contact!!
I was going to swimming at most. But I'm concerned a few lads would drown.
-
We're under a bit of pressure here. Come on Villa, 16 minutes to go.
-
The semi is clearly a huge game, but we really need to see this out. Players need to dig deep and run through the pain.
-
Vlaar has been imperious today.
And that big Hipster fella next to him.
-
When was the last time we saw out a comfortable 1-nil from the first half?
Stoke, 1st game of the season?
We scored second half.
-
defended ok today
come on villa
-
Is it just me or has time started to stand still
-
I'll be astonished if we hold out today. No subs left. Cole looks knackered already. Weimann is hobbling. Sanchez looks knackered. Vlaar and Rico will undoubtedly be exhausted in the last 10 minutes.
It'll be our performance of the season if we hold out. Given the circumstances.
-
Just trying to keep myself occupied with anything now to avoid constantly looking at the clock
-
Fucking hell this pressure is becoming intense.
-
Is it just me or has time started to stand still
I thought it was going backwards.
-
Is it just me or has time started to stand still
Yes
Wearing 2 holes in my prayer mat now.
-
Come on Christain, really need you to hold that ball up
-
Sanchez again ffs
-
sanchez has to stop giving it away
-
We could do without the Sanchez errors right now.
-
Wonder if we'll do a Villa in the last minute?
-
God dammit Sanchez, buck your ideas up old son
-
We don't have much left up front. I'd get the forwards playing deeper now and play them from midfield.
-
With so many injuries this will go on past 5 o'clock
-
Leicester level at the Bitters
-
Leicester equalise.
-
Ha ha Tescos
-
Saints 2-0 Hull
-
Winning jockey in the national is a Villa fan!
-
Sunderland and Hull both losing. Thankfully.
-
Hull 2 down
-
Hull 2 down. Please, please hold on Villa!
-
Leicester equalise.
I'll take that if we hold on. Imagine how it will kill the Bitters if we finished above them.
-
Saints 2-0 Hull
Oh good, that is more significant along with Sunderland's result than what Leicester do
-
9 years to go ;)
-
The much maligned Richardson has played alright today.
-
Sanchez AGAIN
-
This could undo all of the damage of last weekend's sequence of results.
-
Sanchez is the dopiest player i think I've ever seen.
-
Winning jockey in the national is a Villa fan!
Please don't take the shine off what has been a great day so far
-
When was the last time we saw out a comfortable 1-nil from the first half?
Stoke, 1st game of the season?
We scored second half.
Just realised that Liverpool away came later anyway.
-
at last a desicion
-
come on villa corner
-
Please please please please please...
-
Sanchez looks pissed or high.
Probably both actually
-
Sanchez's fitness is his problem.
-
I'm not watching, i'm just listening to a random game as that's what I was doing when we scored, not that i'm superstitious or anything!
Anyway, how long left?
-
rubbish weiman championship
-
Feeble Weimann
-
Leicester equalise.
If we can see this out, a draw at the Hawthornes would be good. It brings West Brom back to us.
-
I need a new prayer mat, this ones fooked.
-
Wasted chance by Andy.
-
TC been good
-
sitter
-
Delph. HAD to score. Damnit.
-
I'm not watching, i'm just listening to a random game as that's what I was doing when we scored, not that i'm superstitious or anything!
Anyway, how long left?
8 plus whatever the ref adds on so in our terms an absolute eternity of anxiety and misery.
-
Delph HAD to score
-
SHOOT, SHOOT, SHOOT, SHOOT, SHOOT
AH fuck.
Come on Delph!!
-
Bastard keeper!
-
What the hell is delph doing
-
5 years left
-
OH come on!
-
Fabian must have had a swig from Sanchez's bottle
-
How long left?
-
Whip it in.
-
Delph's very left footed, that showed it. He'da been a lot more comfortable shooting on his left.
-
There's going to be at least 4 added on. This is torture
-
I think we all know what that missed chance means...
-
plus Villas injuries time
-
Shit - stream crashed
-
bakers been great
-
I think we all know what that missed chance means...
We won't score?
-
3 minutes of normal time. Half an hour of stoppage time.
-
Right, off to watch the last bit on Final Score, bit of a ritual when I am praying we hang on for a win. Come on boys!
-
I don't know what's worse. Watching it and having a panic attack at seeing everything going on, or not having much of a clue by following it on here.
-
I'm on the verge of urinating with worry
-
Five Live reckon FIVE minutes of added on time.
-
I don't know what's worse. Watching it and having a panic attack at seeing everything going on, or not having much of a clue by following it on here.
Watching Sky Sports News and trying to listen out for Tommo's voice screaming "GOAL"
-
This is terrifying.
-
Doing regular farts.
-
If we can just hold on for all three points this will be huge with other results going in our favour.
-
I'm on the verge of urinating with worry
You're lucky it's just urinating. Clean pants for me after the game
-
Tommo big nose has said we have no reason to worry. Kiss of death ?
-
I can feel my life expectancy ticking down....
-
vlarr shit be careful
-
Phil Thompson says we've got nothing to worry about. Now i'm worried.
-
Delph from the half way line, 2-0 and a nice relaxing last 5 minutes please.
-
I don't know what's worse. Watching it and having a panic attack at seeing everything going on, or not having much of a clue by following it on here.
Let's put it this way. If we hadn't conceded as many late goals in a half this season and knew how to see games out I'd be just fine. Thing is we have all seen this shit movie before and there is a lot of tears, and tissue paper being passed out at the end. I hope this is the alternative happy ending version today.
-
5 minutes. Don't think I can last
-
five fucking yearss injury time
-
I don't know what's worse. Watching it and having a panic attack at seeing everything going on, or not having much of a clue by following it on here.
Watching Sky Sports News and trying to listen out for Tommo's voice screaming "GOAL"
the trouble is they also have Charlie, and Merse and I always think they all sound the same when they shout goal.
-
Leicester 3-2 at Bitters!!
-
This is torture!
-
Ha ha Bitters!!!!
-
offside you hopeless cnut
-
Fucking five minutes...the referees just make it up don't they?
-
Albion letting us down again. What a surprise.
-
Touching cloth.
-
Great save by Brad
-
And now the onslaught. Stay strong villa.
-
3 years left
-

-
Christ i'm starting to feel sick. Please hold on Villa.
-
Dirty bastards.
-
COME ON VILLA!
-

-
Hull lose
-
Tony Penis not the genius everyone thought.
-
Come on me babbies!!!!!!!!!
-
leicester 3-2!
-
And the icing on the cake.
Leicester take the lead in the 92nd minute.
:D
-
Come On Ron see this out and bring the lads home with a win
-
sanchez off
-
Sanchez off
-
Red card Sanchez
-
Hold them! HOLD THEM!!!!!
-
shit
-
Rose fouls two and gets away with it.
Bullshit.
-
Sanchez is a fucking idiot.
-
Fucking hell. We should have had a freekick before then.
-
rose was foulling before
-
30 monthes to go
-
What the fuck is Sanchez doing there
-
Sanchez sent off. 2 fouls from Spuds and the ref does fuck all then a pretty nothing challenge and it's a foul and a red.
-
Fucking hell. We should have had a freekick before then.
2.
Bentaleb has done just as many fouls as Sanchez, and just as many 'bad' ones but he's still on.
-
Fuck me. Talk about making it hard on ourselves. This maybe the greatest rearguard display I have ever seen from us if we win.
-
send that fooking kane off ;)
-
Fucking hell. How many times are Spurs gonna get away with it? Fucking assholes.
-
i`m done with football, i just can`t take this anymore, i`m gonna become a serial killer, its much more fun.
-
Did Richardson's pants come down then?
-
This referee is pathetic. Spurs foul us twice, we get nothing, then he rushes to give them a free kick.
-
come on ref
-
How we have two reds this season against Spurs beggars belief.
-
This ref is a PRICK.
-
Guzan you beauty.
-
I wish Stelling wouldnt keep talking about late goals
-
Game over. We've won.
-
96:50 ffs ref

-
FUCKING MASSIVE, MASSIVE RESULT!!
Well done Villa and well done Tim!!! Take that Levy and your All Fart Superstars!
-
Bloody hell. The shithouse thread might be very busy after a game like that.
-
fucking MAHOOOSIVE, immense display.
-
A great Saturday!
Even the Albion result isn't too bad - as it drags them in!
And a Villa fan rides the National winner!
-
We made hard work of that. Only one team in it.
Well done lads.
-
I love each and every one of you!
-
I a still shaking.
-
Great reading this now the game is in the books!
