I am intrigued about the way the tickets for the upcoming semi-final at Wembley are being sold.
According to the ticket office, AVFC have been allocated the West of the stadium excluding the centre clocks in the range 201-252 - which I think are 'Club Wembley' tickets.
Season ticket holders with the best history e.g 10 years plus, were given first refusal for tickets starting on Wednesday 18th March and as time progresses people with less history and attendance qualify to buy tickets. However, the blocks being offered initially are the either the furthest away from the pitch - Blocks 501 - 526 or the blocks adjacent to the corner flags - blocks 137-138 etc; The best seating - blocks 123-125 and142-144 are being left until last. I understand this will mean that the best seats in the house are likely to be offered to the fans with the least history.
Is this fair?

According to the ticket office it's the way Wembley have released seats to Villa, a few blocks at a time.
At least it means the loyal don't have to sit with the jonnycomelatelies 😉
-
I have previously spoken to the TO regarding the way that ticket sales for away games are handled.
I discovered that being first to book doesn't get you the best seat. Seats are allocated based on what ticket is next on the pile/list.
The same might be happening for the Semi
-
Does anyone know why there are 2 different price categories within the same block? Eg Block 134 has both £53 and £43 seats.
Would the cheaper ones be right at the front?
-
Just guessing here, but with up to 70,000 seats usually available for the two clubs in semi-finals there are another 7,000 to be allocated once the clubs have sold their initial 31,500. Therefore for segregation purposes it would make sense if those seats were the centre blocks on the south side. So if we played Blackburn and they couldn't sell theirs we'd could be given all those blocks to sell with no concern over segregation. If it's Liverpool we'd both get up to the half-way line and 35,000 tickets each eventually.

Back I imagine.
I got the cheapest possible seats to the last semi and was on the very last row of the top tier.

I know what you mean but 134 is the lower tier, therefore the better seats are towards the back rather than down at pitch level. I agree that for the upper tier, you'd be better off nearer the front.
-
Working in a box office I know that when artists do a special 'pre sale' for those on their mailing list that it doesn't get you the best seats. An example being a Squeeze/John Cooper Clarke gig we'll be putting on sale tomorrow, people on the Squeeze mailing list were able to book yesterday via one of the ticket agencies, not only do they not get to select their seats but they also have to pay the extortionate booking fees charged by Ticketmaster or whoever.
-
Maybe they're reasoning that anyone who has bought a season ticket for the last 10 years is obviously willing to put up with any old shite, so they'll be happy in any seat.
-
Does anyone know which blocks are currently being offered?
On day 1, someone kindly posted a screenshot.

Yes

I booked one yesterday for someone else as im not going, the online set up was a total joke every one i picked said sold out, then i selected best buy and it said sorry call this number which i did which took me ages.
-
I will be queing up for mine on the morning of tues 7th April all because I let my sth mate book mine for Blackpool and bournemouth.
Doing that has put me to nearly the back of the queue then back again on weds morning for my kids
-
Yes ,,,,,,,i could have bought mine on the march 19 ,the 2nd day they went on sale
i was told what blocks were available but because they was crap i decided not to purchase at that time
it wasnt compulsory to buy your ticket at the earliest opportunity
so waited for block 134 to go on sale (yesterday March 26) and bought my ticket

Is it fair that someone who's only had a ST for 14/15 and has attended all the FA cup matches gets priority over ST holders with 10+ seasons but has attended fewer FA cup matches, say 2 or 3? I've had my ST well over 10 seasons and find this crazy that one season ST holders get this much priority. Really rewards loyalty...
-
Yes it's fair and I have been an ST holder for longer than I care to remember. It's always about future and a 14/15 only ST holder who has been to all FA cup games should be ahead of those who have not.
-
Can someone fix the typo on the name of the thread its really bugging me.
Also the point most posters here seem to have missed is that the club clearly stated that all those with eligible criteria can get tickets in the proscribed timeframe, they are just spreading the day to avoid a rush.

I think you mean avoid a rUsh.

Typo fixed, and yes that is exactly the point. I had to wait until yesterday to get mine as my nephew (10+ years, one FA Cup game) didn't become eligible until then while my dad (first time half season ticket holder, four FA Cup games) was eligible the second or third day of sales. If people were missing out entirely then it would be a different matter but supply to ST holders far exceeds demand in the first instance.

Also got our tickets yesterday. Not exactly a great choice. No Cat. 1 tickets available and it was either in the gods (Mrs Javu is not keen on heights), tucked away behind the corner flag or behind the goal. Went for behind the goal.
Might get on the telly, I suppose.

A jester's hat, plenty of facepaint, a half and half scarf, and a sign wishing Stevie G well on behalf of all Villa fans should do it

You do realise you can get them all on Wednesday don't you? There's no advantage in going twice.
-
I've got mine now so we can close/lock this thread. I'm alright.
-
I'm hoping that with all the worrying and moaning about tickets people will actually forget to buy them and they'll loads left at the end.

If its Villa v Blackburn, we should contact the Blackburn supports and club together to buy some advertising at Wembley. Something nice and subtle, like Nelson from the Simpsons pointing at a photo of Steeeeeevieeeee Geeeeee

Totally disagree. Where's the benefit for long term ST Holders?
-
When do they go on GS ?
-
Dekuip
Yea realise that mate but still worry that I'm gonna miss out although ppl say I won't until I actually have them I won't rest, I'm up for the Qpr game so am going to ask ticket office how many left on the tues and if quite a few then back early doors to be first in queue to get three together.
-
There's more tickets than people who qualify for the published criteria.
-
You think this is bad wait till we get to the final.
-
Pws
Thanks for putting my mind at rest but it's like queing up outside toys r us for something you promised ya kid for Xmas.
Until you actually have it you still worry you might miss out.
Bit like the final 20 minutes in rotterdam
-
And there will still be more tickets that ST holders. And still there will still be panic/complaints because someone can buy a ticket before someone else can. If you know you qualify, I don't get why it matters to some what day they can buy a ticket. Just be happy we're at Wembley and you will be going.
That's a generic "you", not aimed specifically at SH.

I know what you mean but we have just under 32,000 tickets and about 18K ST holders so you'll be okay.

Any ideas if we get more if Blackburn win - I'm assuming they would struggle to sell 30k

It's a possibility. When Wigan played Millwall in 2013 about 6K 'neutral' tickets were issued as Wigan couldn't sell them. Whether they'd have offered them to their opponents if they could have sold is a bit of a guess, but Millwall only just about sold their allocation.
For the final Citeh got an initial 25K, and then a further 7K, Wigan asked for 21K which was then increased to 25K.
Those are the only examples I can think of where extra tickets were available at the new Wembley.

I wouldn't have thought it was aimed at me. I know I'll get a ticket even though I'm no longer a season ticket holder.
I'll panic when we get to the final though.

You're the same as me and Leeg aren't you SH, no ST this year?

Not sure if it has been answered already but with 134 being lower tier I belive the cheaper ones are at the front. It probably works the opposite way round up in the gods.
-

Yep. First time without a ST for nearly 30 years.
This makes me think it's our year. (Insert praying emoticon here).
-

With you man. I've decided to give this one a miss actually, just like every other game since 2003 (except pre-season friendlies in the USA of course. Been to most of them).
-
If those season ticket holders who qualify to buy earlier had a full choice of the tickets available, then those season ticket holders who qualify later would have a worse choice of tickets by the time they were able to buy.
BUT - Wembley releases a block at a time, and doesn't even release the best placed seats first. There is no disadvantage to qualifying later, other than having to wait a bit longer.
-
If Walsall can take 30k to Wembley then I wouldn't be holding my breath that Blackburn will be struggling.

However Rovers choose to distribute their tickets, I am sure they will have no problems shifting them to fare weather fans, extended family and anyone else who fancies a day out.

They might, but given their usual cup crowds I wouldn't bet on it.
-
They've sold out their replay game. A bit better than the 6K against Swansea in round 4, and the 14K next round against Stoke. Which include away fans.
-
No way would Blackburn sell 30k for Wembley.
-
Has anyone brought any £43 ones yet? I've not seen any on sale so far.

Yep, two of us have £43 tickets. Bought on the second day of sale.
-
I am buying mine on Good Friday as I have no ST but all 4 Cup matches; my mate has to wait as he is blagging his from a ST holder who isn't going. The fun will be when I try and buy the two seats together I think - I have all the ST holder's details (including date of birth!) but I still fear they will not let me buy two tickets?

Yes, block 134 on Thursday. I think some of the upper tier blocks had some at this price too.
-

Really? Walsall sold over 30k despite average crowds of just 4k at Bescot.

Ours arrived this morning.

Ours are sorted, behind the goal downstairs.

I know quite a few fans that went, and not one of them are Walsall fans.

My point exactly. Walsall have a load of 'second team' followers that Blackburn don't.
-
The week or so before they played at Wembley, they showed the goals at one of their games at Bescot or Bank's. There was hardly anyone there by the look of it.

Nothing wrong with that - they are what they are. Four thousand regulars and 25k who'll watch them in big games. It's a smaller scale version of us - about 32k regular but if we play Reading in the final we could sell Wembley out twice over.

I suppose they made a fair bit of money off it. It does seem a shame that they don't get a few more in. They would if they were to get promoted.
-
I've no doubt Blackburn would sell all their Final tickets but not sure about the Semis. We outnumbered the similarly-sized Bolton about 50-15,000 in 2000. It was a while ago though. Anyone any ideas if Wigan sold all their tickets? If they did then I'm sure Blackburn, as a much bugger club, would be able to.
-
There were more than 15K Bolton. From what I remember they sold nearly all their allocation.
And from a page or two back
It's a possibility. When Wigan played Millwall in 2013 about 6K 'neutral' tickets were issued as Wigan couldn't sell them. Whether they'd have offered them to their opponents if they could have sold is a bit of a guess, but Millwall only just about sold their allocation.

If Bolton sold out their allocation, it was only cos they had a much smaller allocation than us. There were only 62,000 there. I remember a couple of scallywag Bolton fans had managed to get hold of a loudspeaker after the game and were shouting "are there any other Bolton fans 'ere?"
I also remember the pop group Five driving past on their band coach and getting shitloads of abuse. Felt mildly guilty about joining in when I found out one of them was a Villa fan.
-
We had 36000 tickets for the Bolton semi
-
Bolton semi I was in line with there end penalty area it seemed we had 75% of the ground

That should be all you need. It's all Leeg has of my info and he's ordered us tickets for each round no problem. Although the plum forgot to stick Leicester on my reference, better hope that doesn't come back to haunt him!!!!

My mate has four league references to his account + L. Orient in the League Cup. AVFC say this game doesn't count. How unfair - anyone who was subject to that deserves a medal never mind being credited with his attendence at that fixture.

From the FA website…
The Football Association has confirmed that both Arsenal and Hull City will receive 25,000 tickets for next month’s FA Cup Final and that prices will start at £45.
FA Cup Final tickets will be available to supporters across four price categories for the game, which takes place at Wembley Stadium on Saturday 17 May (kick-off 5pm).
It is the third year running that prices have remained the same.
Tickets will be sold via the two clubs and will be available at £45, £65, £85 and £115.
As well as the 50,000 ticket split between the two Finalists, approximately 20,000 tickets will be distributed to volunteers through the football family which includes counties, leagues, local clubs and charities.
Football family tickets will also include the 92 Premier League and Football League clubs, plus another 134 Full Member clubs and all clubs that have reached the Third Round Proper of this season’s competition.
As The FA Cup Final is part of the Club Wembley membership package, 17,000 tickets will be used by Club Wembley members.

Me too, recorded delivery.
I thought they'd be a bit more colourful.

The other half has been to nearly every game this season, including every round of the cup, but sadly, it has pretty much always been on someone else's ticket or reference! He has just 2 games registered on his own reference number!
We're not holding out much hope!

Thanks - Is there plenty of choice and does it let you select block or do you have to select best available and hope for best?

It gave me the choice of 5 blocks I think, 3 in the upper tier, 2 in the lower - I clicked on each one to view the price then settled for lower tier behind the goal £53
-

I couldn't get through on the phone yet online was very swift and easy.
It also let me on to book at 1.56pm yet my window wasn't open for another 4 minutes.

Can you take stubs down to VP and get them retrospectively added to your client ref?
My Dad and I have been to every cup game this year, he hasn't been down the Villa for 15 odd years until the cup this year, so probably doesn't even have a client reference number.

If they're both assigned under your ref, you should be able to set one up for your Dad and then transfer them across
-
I got 2 cup games and 11 home games against my ref number and 2 cup games against my kids even though they been to 11 home games with me.
Asked ticket office if I can transfer some of my home games to there ref number so can purchase all on same day and they said no
-
Think the moral of the story is at least do all the fa cup games. At £10 a game or £15 it's a no brainier really.
I know we were shite v Blackpool but for £10 it was excellent value for money
-
You can't transfer tickets to other references.

Also folks can anyone tell me if there has been any queues before the ticket office opens for tickets.
Or because you can do them over the phone or online has this cut that out, I'm up for the Qpr game and am staying overnight to go to ticket office in person weds morning to get mine and kids all together.

Try premier inn aston waterlinks mate and have a 630am brekkie then a B6 shuffle

This is what happened to me in 2010. I ended up driving to B6 to buy in person.

Well they aren't are they. I realise the above poster is having a few problems but why should te many thousands of people who've had no problem with the website or ringing up the phone system suffer because 1 individual is having a few issues. (you can of course throw this back in my face when I come on here ranting and raving about how shit the website is when I'm eligible!!) ;-)

Agreed. But this is not one of those times.
-
I don't mind returning to the days of postal orders and stamped addressed envelopes providing the price of tickets is 10/6d.
-
When some people are paying £53-63 per ticket for this, I'd have thought the last thing they need is a hefty fuel expense by travelling to VP if they live outside the Midlands.
-
took me about an hour on line - never got an unengaged tone on the phone. I reckon if you go online in the middle of night...it should be better!
-
Surely if any of the H&V family are going in person to get tickets they can get a couple on behalf of folks like AV82EC, if the relevant details are passed over? There's no way that people should have to drive hundreds of miles for this.

I rang up just after 9am on Saturday morning and got through straight away. Maybe I was lucky. The suggestion about everyone queueing up is ridiculous.

When you are trying to buy online are you selecting the block number - I had the same problem initially.
When I first tried I went straight to the pricing category and then checkout and I got the same message regarding non availability.
If I remember correctly you have to choose the block number first
-
yeah we dont want to go back the dark ages of queueing all night
i remember 1977 ,,had been to all the home games but didnt buy programmes
and ticket allocation criteria was the number of programme vouchers you had
ended up queueing all night when they went on general sale
only for loads of people pushing in at the front about 8 am
turnstile opened at 9am to sell tickets ,,,,,,,,all gone within 20 minutes
i ended up hitch hiking down there ,,,,bunging the turnstile bloke about 50p
and jumping the train back

Got online very early after nine, picked tickets for block required got to check out and then received error message and got kicked off to start queue all over again. From then on the problems started.
Selected block number - didn't work; selected best available didn't work
Got on phone and got connected a second time and again I just got cut off after another hour queueing!
Finally after about 5 hours allowed me to select a block online but only tickets left were category 4 behind goal - I have sat in witton / trinity for 40 years - I do not enjoy watching game from behind goal as you see a totally different game. But beggars can't be choosers and after the marathon today no way was I waiting and having another go tomorrow. And also I tried getting on after midnight last night and it would not let me choose then so I assumed online would not work until after 9.00 this morning. But one big bonus is I have the cheapest tickets which will save me money towards the tickets for the final!!!!!!!!!!!!!! £33 for a semi-final amazing!

I was through on the first Wednesday they went on sale. Opened up my internet browser at 8.55
selected my seat by 9am and paid by 9.05.
I use it twice a month for purchasing away tickets too. I've had the odd error with it. But 99% of time it's great.
-
Can you queue up outside the ticket office before it opens or are the gates on the trinity and witton lane locked till ticket office opens.
Am going to get there for about 5-6 am and wondered if I can park right outside office with heater blasting out
-
So far Aston Villa FC have done very well on allocation of tickets. Well done to Club and staff.
-
Not sure if this has already been answered but can someone help please
the official site says my time for tickets is 2pm tomorrow, is this the time for the ticket office only or can I purchase online after midnight tonight
or can I purchase on the phone any time after they open tomorrow

You can't purchase on the phone any time after they open tomorrow because your time is 2pm.
-
I was told timing applies to all modes of purchasing tickets.
-
Received the actual tickets last night. They are for:-
Aston Villa V Blackburn/Liverpool
I've never seen a ticket like that before.
-
I tell you what, I'm glad we're sorted nice and early. Heaven help Liverpool or Rovers trying to sort this out on just over a week.
-
just got my tickets, took 20 minutes on the phone which isn't too bad at all. Was trying online at the same time while I was waiting in the queue but kept saying no tickets found in that price category.
Not sure how many tickets they sell in each category though on each day, got ours before 10 this morning, no category 1 tickets left and couldnt do 5 category 2 tickets together along the side so had to settle for tickets in lower tier behind the goal.
Please let all the action take place down our end when we are attacking that way - and a boring non-eventful 45 minutes for the other half when we are already 3 up!!!
-

You have to take them back to the ticket office on Thursday week to get them changed. Phone first though to book a time slot.

Just imagine it is like a concert where the tickets are printed before the support act have been announced and it says "Plus Special Guests" who always seemed to be Ocean Colour Scene back in the day.

You can't transfer tickets to other references.
That's interesting. My son has been to all 4 FA Cup games but I've always bought his (and other family members') tickets in the past and the importance of assigning tickets to someone's client reference number never really registered with me before, so the tickets have always stayed allocated to client reference number. I'm a ST holder and have also been to all 4 games along with my two ST mates, so we already have our semi final tickets. When I called the ticket office to book our tickets, I asked the CSR whether it was possible to allocate tickets purchased to client reference numbers retrospectively, in order to try and get a ticket for my son. She said that if they could discern a clear pattern from my booking history then it might be possible to do so, but that I would have to wait until the "attended all 4 FA Cup games" window opens before calling up. I subsequently had this reiterated by another CSR when I rang up to book the coach travel for us a couple of days later. Now, it could have been that they were just trying to get me off the phone as they were busy but I am definitely going to give it a punt when that window opens. No harm in trying - they can only say no.
-
I'm having to wait until tomorrow to buy my ticket as my mate has a had a season ticket on the holte end for four years but not been to an FA Cup game this season. I've had a look online and it looks like almost all the tickets are gone and by the time we're able to buy tickets tomorrow afternoon it seems there will definitely not be seats together. How can this be possible if there's a 32,000 allocation and only around 18,000 season ticket holders? Do they make more sections available each day? I'm a bit worried we won't get a ticket at all and as we both live in Cardiff we aren't going to be able to make it to B6 to buy over the counter. Is anyone else worried?
-
Have lots of people received their tickets already? I booked mine by phone on the first morning and haven't had anything yet.

The general consensus is that more blocks become available with every new criteria.

Thanks. That's what I thought although it doesn't seem any extra sections were available this afternoon so those allowed to buy first thing seem to have an advantage.

We should all cross "/Liverpool" out on our tickets so they have to let us play Blackburn.

I'm in the same boat have to wait till the 8th to get my kids tickets can get mine before but gonna wait and get all three together.
We have been to 11 home games and 2 cup games but my kids have only had a ref number since the Leics cup game.
So the ticket office can see that I have always purchased 3 tickets for 11-12 home games every season.
Can you remember who you spoke to to tell you that

My ticket says "RE-ISSUE"

Sorry - CSR = Customer Service Rep. As far as names are concerned, sorry again, I don't recall. I'm not hopeful based upon what PWS has said, but I'm going to give it a go anyway.

getting close now,I can get mine tomorrow,
well excited

I bought my tickets online a couple of days back. The confirmation email I received from the club doesn't contain any details of block or seat numbers, just our booking references and the price category of the tickets for each person. Is this the same as other folks that have bought online?

Paid for ours last Tuesday - still no sign of the postman with his machine to sign for registered deliveries.
Just thought of missed opportunity to wind up Baggies fans - could have sent a recorded delivery yesterday with fake Wembley tickets in to arrive today.
EDIT : Postman has just been and tickets are here. So it took 8 days from when we went to the ticket office in person (if that helps others waiting)

Ordered mine over the phone and asked for details as my mate's disabled daughter can't cope with lower positioned seating - I was told they couldn't give any details about block, seat numbers etc but that the seats would be fine for her. Other people on here seem to have actually selected which block and seats they wanted - is that an option that is only available online? If fans can select specific seats online surely the ticket office can see on their system where the seats are and pass on to me some pretty basic info.
I have had similar when booking away games though...unless price is affected by upper/lower tiers like Everton.

all booked on line....piece of piss really..

I selected my block online, then selected category one. It was obvious category one would be lower tier.
Then when the booking was complete it gave me my specific seat details in my booking confirmation (It was the standard booking confirmation you get when booking tickets online). Which I took a screen shot of. Those details in turn matched my ticket details.

If you're at the QPR game on Tuesday it might be easier popping into the ticket office before the match.
-
Yeah might try that
-
Update: I rang the ticket office this lunchtime (timing a lull before the next tranche of eligible callers!) and got through quite quickly. I said that people who'd applied after me had received tickets and even though I applied on the first morning I hadn't received mine. Apparently they're printing the tickets off in blocks and then have to do further checks before posting. Mine was actually printed off on the 26th and still may take a few days to come through, but if it doesn't come through by the Friday before the game they'll do a reprint (which I'd obviously have to go and collect), but that put my mind at rest. As ever, the ticket office people are first rate.
-
Anyone know if club shop is open tomorrow - Good Friday ?

I'd imagine so as we're selling tickets tomorrow.

Ticket criteria for our FA Cup semi-final at Wembley changes twice today in our priority windows.
They are available this morning to supporters who have a 4+ game booking history for the 2014-15 FA Cup campaign while from 2pm they are on sale to fans who have a 3+ game booking history for the 2014-15 FA Cup campaign

50 minutes ringing
10 minutes holding in the queue
5 minutes ordering
Wasn't sure the difference between Upper and Lower Tier (I know one is higher up!) and the £33/43/53 seats so went Upper £53 in the vain hope that means a decent view?

YAY! Wembley tickets (finally) booked for Freddy, PWS and yours truly. Block 128 South Stand L1. Coach travel aswell for me and Freddy. Can't wait.
Long wait to get through (understandably) but well worth it. Plus the operator was brilliant with the way he dealt with the issues around Freddy's booking history and allocated details.

Upper tier is a great view as long as you remember a pair of binoculars and climbing gear.

To be honest anywhere is a decent view at Wembley, in 2010 I bought cat 2 behind the goal for Utd game which was good but Chelsea I went Cat 3 upper tier on the bend and was a much better view of the game for less money. Last time I remember they had something on the Wembley website where you could put in the block you were sitting and it gave you the view of the pitch from there if that helps.

Its 5+ games from this season from Thursday and as Dave said its going to go to people with 4 games this season then 3 then 2 then 1 before going to people with an AVFC booking history it is unlikely to ever get to "general sale
-
Just seen that spangley as a mod on here quoted if you on that criteria list you will get a ticket.
Phew
-
Know I have asked this before folks but has anyone queued up at the ticket office and has there been much of a queue?
I'm having to book hotel to stay up after the Qpr game book day off work all cause of 1 league game that is not in my kids criteria that would allow me to get all of ours on the tues.
Thing is Qpr tickets have been bought and paid for yet cause the game has not been played they don't qualify in my kids booking history .
-
Been up villa shop today at ground. Steady queue in TO
-
Daft thing is why didn't they bring tues booking criteria to Saturday if the ticket office is open good Friday then why not the Saturday.
God help us when villa park holds 60,000 and we regs in champions league f.a. Cup finals etc
-
My arsenal ST mate had to go into a ballot for their SF.

So we're in the corner then Leeg?
-
Yes. I sat in Block 118 for the Walsall match and the view is pretty good.

I was in the Upper Tier in 2010 and it was awful.

Limited availability at that specific time.

The view and the result.

Thank you

I've been an idiot and have had my tickets via mates this season so am unlikely to get a ticket for Wembley.
Will somebody be kind enough to tell me which end of the ground we have been allotted so I can talk to nasty touts and ticket agencies. Thanks very much.

If you buy a ticket for Tuesday that may give you a chance, well more than you do now anyway......We have the West stand anyway

Even if you don't attend the game you will have a 14/15 season booking history with 1 game.......it is a waste of £30 though

I wonder how many tickets we have sold so far ?

so wouldve I .
I dont think they wouldve sold much over 20k upto now, by guessing most season ticket holders wouldve gone to the cup games aswell & them also being cash card members
-
Come tuesday I will have been to over 6 games as will my son. However, the tickets are in my name and my sons werent specifically asigned to his name. What happens when I qualify on Thursday for a ticket, bit nothing in my sons name?
-

You have to wait until the club announces how they are going to distribute the remaining tickets which I am guessing will be late next week/early part of the week after

Id give the ticket office a call tomorrow & explain your situation or pay a visit if you can .... What you got to lose, they can only say no .

This. It worked for me today when I explained about Freddy not having every one assigned to his client reference number. The operator trawled through my booking history and sorted it for me.
-
Rudy65 I had a similar problem and ticket office were very helpful. I had bought cup tickets under my reference and not uses my junior ST ref. However the ticket office recognised that as I had bought 2 tickets for two cup matches, one junior one normal , than juniot tickets can count towards status for semi final allocation.

I reckon we've sold about 23k assuming 18k season ticket, 1k Villa cash, and people who could be arsed to go to Blackpool, Bournemouth and Leicester say 4k.
They confirmed in the initial announcement that everyone in those criteria listed above will get a ticket so that's another 9k tickets for everyone on Tue/weds/thu. After that who knows......
-
That Villa Cash scheme needs reviewing .
What is it to sign up to... £20 ?
&it could guarrantee you a cup final ticket without even going a game !
-
Don't panic, there could well be tickets going spare in the Blackburn end.

so you think its ok then ?
-
So yes, it's because you didn't get one.
I think it's fine. It was advertised as priority for tickets and that's what people who paid up front are getting. There will be very few with Villa Cash who aren't spending a chunk with the club, which would have been the reason for getting it. No one knew it would be such high priority for tickets, and I doubt many/anyone in the summer was thinking about Wembley priority as a reason to get one.
And yes I subscribed, purely because of the cash back. QPR will be my 14/15th game so far and by the end of the season I will have spent a chunk in the club shop.

nothing to do with me not getting one .
I think its wrong/unfair that someone can sign up for £10 do nothing but sit in it & get a semi final ticket over someone who has gone to 4 games .
As i said it needs reviewing .. Not stopping altogether
-
I very much doubt there would be more than a few dozen max who signed up and have then spent no further money with the club. I'd imagine the vast majority with one have a similar record to mine. It defeats the main point of buying one to not then be spending money. I only know one other person with a VC card, it's not like there's 1000s with one.
And it probably will be changed slightly as I bet there will be a lot more wanting to buy them next season.
-
At £10 to sign up too itll certainly be cheaper than buying a match ticket
-

I'm in same position but they said no to me on phone and email. Lad has been to 4 cup games but only two are in his name, other two in my name. Clearly they were for him as U8 tickets but they said can't alter once game has been played. Did you go in person? Can still get him one Tuesday but it will no doubt be a lot busier then. Was there today but queue was out the door so didn't want to wait ages to be told no again but having seen few posts on here looks like they have been bending the rules. Might try phoning tomorrow?
-
No not in person and my allocation day was based on ST plus 2 cup games.
-
I'll ring them tomorrow. I originally asked at the start of the sales. Might be more relaxed now they know they still have loads left?
-
Wish the ticket office will make up its mind.
Me and my kids both adults have been to 2 cup games and 11 league games so far this season. We all have our own ref number but I always book the tickets under my ref. when told my day was tues and my kids weds for tickets I asked ticket office surely you can see for the last 4-5 seasons you can see I always book 3 tickets for at least 11-12 home games surely 1 game can be transferred to there ref to allow me to get them before the Qpr game. They sad no so now I gotta stay up book hotel and back early doors to get all 3 together on weds.
Yet some of the previous posts say different maybe I'm missing the point put me right guys if I am
-
They know from their system that the allocation up to 5 matchday tickets will or could sell xxxx amount of tickets providing maximum take up.
You will have a certain % of ST holders who won't travel and people who can't attend on a Sunday. It is interesting that the Villa set a ballot for tickets that asked the question 'have you held a season ticket in the last five years?' this going back to the 2010/11 season when O'Neill left and ST fell when TSM1 was appointed. ST have fallen since.
Are the club going to offer the option of tickets to pre ST holders as an incentive to encourage future take up?
-
Also you gotta chuckle as people get there tickets the posts on this thread get fewer and fewer.
After tues or weds that's me done on here
Then the lucky underpants
Lucky socks
Lucky shoes
Lucky top
Lucky jeans
Lucky hat
All get laid out ready for the semi
-
bought mine on march 26 ,,,,,,still no sign of it being delivered
-
I wonder how many tickets we have sold so far ?
That is the $64,000 dollar question............
I asked when I bought my ticket for QPR last Thursday. He said around 21,000 had been sold at that point.
-
Daft thing is why didn't they bring tues booking criteria to Saturday if the ticket office is open good Friday then why not the Saturday.
God help us when villa park holds 60,000 and we regs in champions league f.a. Cup finals etc

-
So about 11,000 left then
-
So about 11,000 left then
It was very busy on Friday apparently and will be on Tues, Weds and Thurs when the criteria changes so you may well be looking at about 5,000/6,000 left by the end of Thurs

If you look at the website it goes to 5 games this season on Thurs and I suspect the club will put details about how the rest of the tickets will be allocated on the website on Weds/Thurs...It may not get to just "Booking History"

no
-
When you look at our attendances and think how many folks have only been to 4 or less, i'd have thought that there would be more than 5/6K left. They won't go to from 5 games to general sale, it will just go to lower criteria, maybe end up at "varied history" like it did for the QF.
-
What is "varied history" ?
-
Not sure as I didn't look into it. I assume it will be X amount of games over the last few seasons.
-
What is "varied history" ?
anyone who had only been to previous villa west brom matches in the past were denied a ticket for the villa west brom cup game
-
Same applied to Manchester United and Chelsea at VP.
-
What is "varied history" ?
from the staff member in the city centre store ... On their database, & that goes back 15yrs
-
Same applied to Manchester United and Chelsea at VP.
i dont think it did against man u as they had fans in every stand
and the club were happy to sell tickets in home areas to anyone
they could have checked that these people only buy one ticket a season and thats villa at home to man u
but they didnt
then the police got involved and forced them to change the way they sell tickets
so the varied history rule was used for the first time against west brom
-
Not sure as I didn't look into it. I assume it will be X amount of games over the last few seasons.
I reckon that it might be as straightforward as at least two games against different opposition, so basically selling to anybody who isn't buying for a) the first time or b) just Villa vs Liverpool every year for the last ten seasons.
-
So Man Utd fans will have to come to at least one other villa game from now on ? Or at least buy a ticket and not attend
-
They didn't call it varied history for the Manure game, but it didn't go on general sale.
-
So Man Utd fans will have to come to at least one other villa game from now on ? Or at least buy a ticket and not attend
They can get them off Viagogo as well
-

Thought you needed a villa ref ?

As the tickets come from the club and are allocated a client ref they use the same criteria.

Sorry for the delay in replying but it's the fallout zone. Legion's in 547.

YAY! Wembley tickets (finally) booked for Freddy, PWS and yours truly. Block 128 South Stand L1. Coach travel aswell for me and Freddy. Can't wait.
Just remembered to check where I am. I'm in 126, which is worryingly close to Leeg.
I'm used to being in the Club Level for NFL games.
-
Right that's it got mine, outside vp at 5am this morning upper tier front row behind goal no more posts from me
Cuz I'm going to wemberleeeeeeeee
-
551 for us.
-
Being as behind the goal in the Lower Tier seems to be gone, I'm Trying to figure out whether I'm better off getting Lower tier on the sides or behind the goal in the upper tier in terms of being able to stand/sing. Anyone got any clues?
-
Folks, with 32k tickets and only somewhere around 20k season ticket holders. Can anyone explain to me why we've gone through this slow ticket allocation process ?
Couldn't they have all been offered to ANY current season ticket holder from Day 1, give em a week to get through that lot then stick the remaining batch on general sale ?
I mean, it's just over a week away now and the criteria is still in place. Can't believe we haven't gone down to GS or even just a previous booking history yet
It wouldn't surprise me if it puts off a load of floating supporters bothering seeing as they wont have much time to organise stuff

-
Think back to the chaos of 2010 when everyone tried to book at once and the system crashed. I think they've done the best they can.
-
Still seems ridiculously slow to me. I mean with online sales and over the counter sales it can't take that long surely ?
I believe that current ST holders had until April 1st, it's now April 9th and i think it's still some random criteria
Don't get me wrong, I've decided I can't be arsed like most folks I know but i'm sure they could've given folks more time to get their travel / maybe hotels planned than this
-
New criteria now on the OS.

More time? They've had over a month. spare a thought for whoever wins tonight. They've got just over a week and half to sort out their ticket.
-
Villa will discover this evening who we face in the FA Cup semi-final.
Blackburn take on Liverpool at Ewood Park tonight and one of those sides will take on Tim Sherwood's lions on Sunday April 19, with a 3pm kick-off.
Criteria for buying tickets for our Wembley encounter changes again on Thursday.
Tickets will be available from 9am to supporters who have a 5+ game booking history this season.
That includes our Final Five offer - despite the fact that some of those games - against Everton, West Ham and Burnley - have yet to be played.
We can also confirm a new criteria for Friday, in addition to previously released dates.
Then, tickets become available to fans with a 4+ game booking history.
-
...and if Blackburn win, we'll have enough tickets to wallpaper the Trinity Road Stand.
-
OK - have you, or anyone else who can't be arsed, got a spare booking reference for 4 or 5 attendances or a 'final five' booking deal?
thank you
x
-
Just got to Villa Park - an hour before the ticket office opens and there's probably a good 200 people in the queue already.
Just thankful it's not too chilly this morning!
-
Just logged on and got my two - didnt seem too slow
-
Just got mine online too - took 15mins in total. Not sure if the phone lines are closed or just busy but I couldn't even get through to the queue, let alone to speak to someone.
Not many seats left by the look of it either
-
Took me eight minutes to get my two online. Was on the redial as well, which just kept ringing out and going to an engaged tone.
Category two seats in 542. Should be front half of the upper tier, close to behind the goal. Very happy with that.
-
I'm in the upper tier, block 545 row 5, so should have a good view and close to the corner flag. Seems like I'll have a good view so I'm happy. Good luck to everyone else trying to get them now.
-
It's all kicking off on FB about the ballot.
-
It's all kicking off on FB about the ballot.
Where?
-
PM'd you Chris
-
Got mine at midday today. 15 in the queue but only two people serving. Five people were trying to renew their ST's!
Thanks to the staff member who used her 'disgression' and sold me two adult tickets although I had never assigned my prem tickets to my son this season.
Bring it on!
-
glad to say iv'e got mine,
but will they eventually go on general sale to anyone with a client ref no
or are they expecting to sell out before that ?
-
That will be "varied booking history" which the lowest I expect it to go.
-
Tickets arrived today. Block 134 row 20. C'mon you villa boys.
-
It's all kicking off on facebook?
What's facebook
-
It's like face palm but with a book instead of a palm.
-
That will be "varied booking history" which the lowest I expect it to go.
given the carling cup final dropped to two games in 2010 I think your right.
-
Can anyone explain to me exactly what varied booking history means? Is that more than one booking over the current season or over several seasons?
-
Over the time-span of your client reference number, I think.
-
Has anyone booked their semi final tickets over the phone on the consumer sales number? I have 4 match history, I can see it on my account but not letting me book online. Ive been trying to get through to ticket office for 3 hours now and just getting engaged tone starting to think this number is just an old handset off the hook in the data room.
-
I tried the consumer sales number on Tuesday about 50 times between 9am - 2.30pm and was constantly engaged and online said didnt have correct privelages. Finished work at 2.30pm and went straight to the ground and got served within 5 minutes in the wembley que (there was s seperate que for QPR tickets). The lady who served me said that although the Swansea game was showing on people's online account it wasnt showing on there system, thats why a lot of people are getting the incorrect privelages message.

Booked mine last Friday over the 'phone and was hoping they would come this week as I can only get to the Post Office on Saturday mornings (all at work so can't sign for them) - looks like I will physically have them 30 hours before kick-off!
What happens if tickets don't arrive by Friday I wonder?

Ticket criteria for Villa v Liverpool in the FA Cup semi-final changes again on Monday.
From 9am, they will be available to any supporter with a 3+ match 2014-15 season booking history.
Any remaining tickets for the Wembley encounter will then go on sale the following day to fans with a 2+ 2014-15 season booking history.
Please be aware that tickets will only be available in person from the Villa Village Ticket Office next week, subject to availability.
The Ticket Office will be open from 9am-6pm on Monday and Tuesday.
Tickets will be issued at time of purchase on a first-come first-served basis.
All those purchased before Monday will be delivered to supporters by Recorded Delivery.
The Ticket Office will be open this weekend on Saturday from 9am to 5pm.
Anyone with previous criteria eligibility can purchase their semi-final tickets then - as well as tickets for our home games with Everton and West Ham.
-
As I mentioned in the ticket request thread, it's a bit of a pisser if you're not local and struggling to find someone to go on your behalf.
-
I don't mind going up on your behalf tomorrow if you PM me with full details.

Cheers, not eligible yet though.

Always avfc
You can use my booking ref if you want I've got mine already so am I under the impression that I can buy more now if so find out and post on here . I live in essex but if they get posted I can meet you at Wembley but I'm sure someone closer might help you out
-
They will get posted to the address of the purchaser.
-
If anyone has a spare client ref they haven't used can they pm me as my brother is heading to the ticket office on Monday (with his 3+ history) but my booking history is only 1 this season. Thanks....
-
If I can echo ^jims request, after being away for the last 2 years, my records pretty poor, whenever I go down/away its always booked on my dads reference. If anyone can help me it would be much appreciated
UTV
-
Does anyone know how many tickets you can buy per client ref? I qualify but a friend only has 1 game booking history so would I be able to buy both our tickets under my client ref to ensure our seats are together?
-
1 per ref.
-
Been into town ticket office today. Said roughly 4000 left so if you only have 2 or 1 game from this season then should be fine.
-
Its all in person next week.......You cant book on-line or via the phone
-
And only from the Villa Village, you can't buy semi-final tickets at the shop in town.
-
Its all in person next week.......You cant book on-line or via the phone
Does that mean just turn up and you can buy one ?
-
I'm not sure what their motivation is regarding only selling them in person. My mate has a three game reference, but won't be able to physically go down to Villa Park until Friday afternoon, by which time they will have presumably sold out. I'm not sure why they won't let him book one over the phone and collect them at the office on Friday.

If your criteria qualifies, yes.

why dont you get the reference number off him and get the ticket for him tomorow
-

It's not their motivation it's about getting tickets in your hand. Next week is too late for tickets to be sent to you with guaranteed delivery.
-

Have you got one yet SV?
-
I still don't understand the in-person only criteria. According to the Royal Mail website, it costs £6.45 to send a letter guaranteed next-day, special delivery. There must be loads of people who'd rather spend the extra few quid, than have to take a day off work or travel miles. If I hadn't already got mine, it would be a right ball-ache to use up holiday and travel from London and back.
-
It's probably because even items sent Special Delivery get lost. And it's worth remembering they will still probably be selling tickets Weds or even Thurs, so easier to just make it a blanket requirement that it's in person only now.
-
What's the expectation for getting tickets with only one game booking history?
-
I still think it may hit varied history.
-
Just saw wozwebs earlier post saying c.4000 tickets left. Reckon it's gonna be close!
-
Are you allowed to buy tickets in person with someone else's reference?

Yes mate I'm trying to get my cousin one
-
As long as you have their permission and can provide full details, then yes.
-
What time do you think people wil start queuing in the morning?
i really need to be in & out at 9am as far as possible, because (I am guessing like most people) I am supposed to be at work tomorrow.
I can't afford to be iat the back of a queue of 500 people for the best part of the morning!
See - even for people that don't live miles away - announcing last thing in Friday that you will meet the criteria first thing on Monday isn't really that helpful.
-

Good. See you down Wembley way in that case!

Only six blocks available, and they all showing yellow, meaning limited availability. Single seats I reckon. All In the upper tier which is where the standers are likely to be.

They release different blocks to sell each day and we haven't sold all those blocks yet for our half of the ground
-
There could still be a complete block that hasn't been released yet.

almost certainly

Its a bit of an obsession of yours isn't it?
-
I've kept an eye on it and Im not 100% but I think there are 2 maybe 3 blocks in the upper tier that haven't been released yet. No idea how many seats they hold though?

Is that rumours? the only way we would know if we been through the blocks, Is anyone has been checking every day and makes a note, or if they have a photographic memory. 538 was on yellow from Wednesday till this morning now on red, that's the only one I remember.

look back about 2 pages ........someone asked a member of staff at the city centre shop today

Blocks 123 and 124 ? Have they been on sale yet ??
No idea? I think it's the low 530's that haven't been released yet. Unless they sold them before I could access the ticketing site
-
Think someone posted before, some of the very best seats will end up with fans who very rarely attend. Loyal week in week out fans aren't necessarily getting the better seats .

and they will pay the price. 33-43 quid tickets have been on sale throughout so I think everyones had a chance to buy a varied range
-
Think I'm right in saying that the lower tier is pretty much sold out. The upper seems to be being released anti-clockwise, with blocks 528-533 yet to come on sale at all. Which would tally with the reports of 4000 tickets left.
-
they might go on sale to people who went to one match 6 years ago but havent been down since

528 is redder than a bloodclarte
-
They'll probably have someone who watched one game on a dodgy stream in 2009 leading the team out.
-
@ conman What bout people who vist witton for the day and eat 99p specials with salad chilly n mayo, or then again hang bout on 5 ways aston ;)
-
Every block is red that isn't for sale, even if zero seats have been sold yet in that block. The only blocks that aren't red are the blocks available on that day.
This is what it looked like on the day me and Leeg got our tickets.

I'll be at villa park by 5am and im not even getting a ticket for myself.......The lad is having it.
I always buy 3 tickets for games but never assign them to anybody but me.
If that means I only get one ticket then so be it!
Up the Villa!

nope and I'd rather the lad had it.
I've had my fun watching the Villa....now it's his turn to enjoy the ride... ;)

I've been offered two 'club Wembley' tickets, £150 a pop mind. Anyone sat there before ? Worth paying the money ?
Waiting on a couple of normal tickets and keep hearing different stories regarding sales, one mate went down the office yest and told there's only a couple of thousand left, and another told there was 6k, so who knows!
-
Been offered a club Wembley ticket for the final, should we get there. Of course it's worth it if you get to be there and you wouldn't get a ticket otherwise. Add a couple of grand (in Aussie dollars) for flights and it will still be a bargain to exorcise the ghost of 2000. Worst day of my life!
-
At Villa Park now. There's a guy with his young son in a sleeping bag on the step, & another half dozen of us staying in our cars till it looks busier.
I will be pretty annoyed if a lower tier comes back on sale later on, but a ticket is better than no ticket.
-
Let us know what the queue is like up there, got a mate who is heading up there shortly.
-
All online bookings have Been stopped. Been told que was up to the club shop at 8
-
I left there at 8.15 because they opened early. The queue was just out if the door then. It started building up from about 8am in the end - up to then, only about 20 of us. Full team of ticket office staff on.
-
I've just got ours. About 50 queuing but they opened the doors and started selling at 8:10am.
They were only selling blocks 533 and 534. It appears they've left these blocks free until now as they're selling from Row 1.

533 has been on sale all week 534 appeared today
-
Fair enough. I made the presumption on being given Row 1 from that block. The only blocks they offered me were 533 and 534 as I asked for another one where other mates were sat, but told they were only two blocks available.
-
but told they were only two blocks available.
that's strange as there were 6 blocks in yellow at 730 am today.

Sat there for the manure final, problem was its mixed fans so limited atmosphere, it kicked off aswell once we went behind, too many emotions and alcohol involved.
-
Where can you see what blocks are available? Does anyone have a link please?
-

I think you needed to have the correct privileges already, so you that you could get access to the ticket booking page. Not sure it will be available now internet purchases have stopped.
-
Is it just me or do folk feel Villa have really dragged the ticket sales out a bit? There'll still be tickets on sale come Thursday and Friday at this rate when there are fans champing at the bit waiting to but them and arrange travel etc.
Liverpool appear to have sold all there's online only in the space of three days, so is it that our online ticketing system isn't any good or what? How would we have coped had we needed a replay with the Albion?
I appreciate that as a season ticket holder I was able to buy mine quickly (I bought online) but do feel for those who are still in limbo and wondering whether or not they'll be able to get one less than a week before the game.
-
I must say I was impressed when my Liverpool supporting mate got his ticket sorted on Saturday morning, online with no hassle...he hasn't even got a ST, but his membership put him in a draw. Liverpool's entire allocation was sorted by Saturday night from what I gather.
-
Probably have more experience than us at the allocating of tickets etc. have drawn it out too long though.
-
I managed to get mine last week. Block 133. Sat on my own, but I should have a great view. I sat there for the League cup final and had a fantastic view of Michael Owen slotting the ball home. The Fecker!
-
Liverpool have more season ticket holders than us, which makes it easier. But we seemed to drag it out for an eternity with 'season ticket holders for 10+ seasons, with 4+ cup games and an original signed 1957 shirt etc'.
I'd be interested to see how many people qualified for the criteria every day. Some days it must have been in the low hundreds.
-
We have drawn it out a bit, as exigo says, i'm not sure we needed quite so many ST criteria even if we did want to stagger the sales. After the ST holders I don't mind the criteria so much, we've tried to make sure that those who go to the most games get tickets which is fair enough.

I have bad memories from my experience in 2010 and would urge you to err on the side of caution. It is a mixed area serving alcohol which, coupled with the pressured atmosphere of an important cup game, prompts tensions to rise and, on the odd occasion, spill over into trouble. The stewarding of the area is robust enough, but having opposition fans (in my case plastic Manure fans from Surrey) going out of their way to gloat in your face is extremely upsetting. Perhaps, I'm bitter because we lost; although, I do remember the pain of losing being magnified enormously by being in close proximity to jubilant opposition supporters. Most were tactful, several were absolute pricks.
I hope you get tickets!
-
I had two Club Wembley tkts for manure game which turned out to be in ''their end'' we just went to our end, you can walk all the way round, and found a couple of manure fans going into our end they were happy to swap.
-
Not sure if anybody has posted this Newitts.com competition to win two semi final tickets?
Hope this is allowed? If not please delete:

If there was a set of fans less suited to an alcohol fuelled need to not gloat it's plastic Man U fans. The next team you wouldn't want to be surrounded with in those circumstances are plastic Liverpool fans, but if it's the way to be there then bite your lip and enjoy it if you can.
-
I didn't have any problems in Club Wembley last time - if you can get them and afford it, I'd go for it.

Awesome. I'm pissing myself laughing in an empty office.
-
Club Wembley wouldn't be for me. I would never resort to violence, but am very easily wound up, especially by gloryhunters of the classless chavs, bindippers or Manure ilk. They make me see red, excuse the pun in two out of three cases. I had a bad case of verbals on the tube after the semi against the chavs when some fat twat in a Chelsea shirt of about an age where wearing football shirts and gelling your hair up isn't such a great idea was mouthing off about us as if we were Halifax Town. I wasn't proud of myself and it was very immature - and yes, I'm a bad loser - but boy it felt good.

Does anyone know if the Paypal Buyer Protection covers me for sending money to someone I don't know for a ticket if it doesn't turn up?

Not 100% sure. If they seem genuine then ask to pay 50% now and 50% when ticket arrives.

Should do as long as you don't send the money as a gift to family/friends. Get them to send it signed for to cover both of you.

Can I throw in my cousin who has a Liverpool themed den in his house where he watches the football despite being born in and living in Northampton all his life.
And Nicholas Lyndhurst's brother off of Butterflies who was briefly in Brookside before becoming a cross dresser on Corrie. Last known whereabouts being a producer at The Lichfield Garrick Theatre.

Does anyone have an idea of how many or if any tickets are still available?
I'll be going down early tomorrow morning if there are, but would like to go with my brother who only has 1 game booking history. If anyone has a client ref with 2+ booking history that they'd be prepared to let me use it would be highly appreciated.
-
my tickets arrived today - same situation as other posters on here - two adult tickets instead of one adult and one child and the cheeky fecker of a postie ripped off the recorded delivery sticker and just posted it through the letter box -I wouldn`t mind but the envelope was left sticking out of the letter box so anyone could have pulled the envelope back out - good job they are an honest lot in my road !!!
-
Booked mine on 3rd April and not arrived yet, at what point do I start to panic?
-
About the same time as me. Tomorrow evening. Mine, PWS and Freddy's tickets have arrived but the extra one I managed to get and the Official coach travel tickets for me and Freddy are yet to arrive.
-
How many bookings per client reference are they now accepting for a ticket?
-
When I was in town ticket office Sunday they checked the one I'm waiting for and said it was posted Recorded Delivery on the 11th April (ordered 3rd) so I guess it will be here tomorrow / Wednesday

Cheers wozwebs, I spoke with our postie this morning and he said recorded delivery comes the next day unless they're using couriers.

How many bookings per client reference are they now accepting for a ticket?
2 as from 2moro morning

It is open to people who've been to any 2 home games this season - not 2 per ref.
It it was 2 per ref - then absolutely everyone they've just spent 2 weeks gradually selling tickets to could turn back up tomorrow for their 2nd ticket!
-
That's what I was thinking so why I queried it. And to stop folks rocking up at VP tomorrow thinking they can buy 2 tickets on one reference.

Actually Jimbo's post could be taken both ways. No harm clarifying things for folks though.

People who don't have a ticket yet should be looking at the website 2moro afternoon for the next (possibly last) set of criteria I reckon
-
Heard on Talksport that Reading arec taking 30k+ ... & have been given extra tickets today.
I wonder maybe more to us Wednesday/Thursday ??

Fair play to you Richard. I must admit one of my biggest regrets to date in my 27 years (there are a few) was not having a go back at the plastic ManUre fan from Surrey/Kent/Herts/Hampshire/Essex who was horribly acerbic in his comments about Villa following the 2010 final. I'm not for a second suggesting violence, but I really wish I'd said a few things back because it has always hurt me. I felt I let myself and the Villa down.
-
Just on my way to VP, is anyone else down there ?

I would love a ticket and have been offered ticket references by some lovely people on here but can't get up to VP. My sense of missing out - albeit fairly so - was compounded by finding out yesterday that my friend Rob from Chichester is going and a good friend, Haroon from Dudley, has also got a ticket. Still, I shall proudly be representing the boys at the local pub in town. Went in last night on my run to check they are definitely showing the game and rather enjoyed saying 'Are you showing THE VILLA on Sunday afternoon?' When the barman said, do you mean Villa vs Liverpool, I said no, THE VILLA. You have to educate these people little by little I find...
-
Yippee. Sorted. Brother got four seats together in Block 532. Would not seem to be down to odd/pairs of seats yet.
-
There was a fair few down there, but it would seem theres more tickets left than we may think. We had a lot of options on where we could have sat, upper and lower.
And if you can still get 4 together, there's a possibility it won sell out which will look small time and there's no excuses really

Ha, perhaps someone can get me one while they are there!

Well, after the first set of criteria had been worked through they could have just opened it so anybody with a varied booking history could purchase online. Then the likes of Richard above would have been able to go.
I can't imagine that he's the only Villa fan who would be keen to go but isn't, while tickets remain potentially unsold.
-
Isn't it still just fans with a booking history for this season? My old man is dying to go but hasn't been since Hull last season. He's in his 60's and spent a lifetime going down, just not very often anymore, I'm sure there's thousands in his situation.
Surely it will go to varied booking history wont it?
-
Have you tried phoning them Richard ? I've read a few posts and for people living outside of brum they've been doing next day delivery etc, worth a phone call!
-
Only flogging them to personal callers seems a bit of a daft situation to have got ourselves into.
If the reason is because they can't guarantee tickets will arrive on time, then fair enough (mind you, why not? This isn't a third world country, we have a decent postal system, and maybe they could improve the delivery options using the offensive "processing charge" or whatever it is called these days), but they surely got themselves into this situation by spreading the differing criteria over so many days.
So, having only just found out about the availability of tickets, a week or so before the event, the criteria list having expired, it is down to people who want to go AND are able to get to Aston in midweek. Oh, and who are able to arrange transport / stopovers in that short period of time.
That strikes me as a not ideal situation.
-
What time is the ticket office at VP usually open until?
Perhaps a long shot but in return for two references I'd be willing to make the trip from London to Villa Park to get tickets for anyone from here who still needs them but cant get down to the ground.
-

Liverpool are charging £6.45 delivery, and the last of their tickets are being sent out today at the latest.
-
Did 'The Mighty Reds YNWA' and Blackburn start selling before their replay or are 'The Mighty Reds YNWA' now having to rush around getting their's sold ?
-
There were too many criteria. It was much simpler when it was vouchers from the back of the program :)

Ridiculous when they have had four weeks to sell them.

The latter. But they didn't have to stagger it to so many levels as we chose to, there were three levels of sale and they were basically sold out by the weekend.
-

Could do, but I turned down a few ticket references from kind people on here thinking I couldn't ring up, but had to be there in person!

What is the latest with numbers? I need a ticket for my cousin but he didn't create a client ref when he bought his tickets. Are we screwed?
-

Hanging around outside the ground with a few ''swaps'' trying to find someone who had a program voucher that you didn't have.

Maybe you could arrange your own courier to collect from Villa Park? DHL do this as a next day online service. No idea of the cost or if it would be OK with the ticket office though!
-
Thank you for all the suggestions, very kind of you all, but I don't have a ticket reference to work on!
-
Richard, if you get any more reference offers and can negotiate a couple on top of any for yourself I'll happily go up to VP and to buy some for you and I if that's an option for you.
-
Ill have one possibly two refs if it goes down to +1 matches this season
-
Andy and Alan - thank you very much indeed. Alan, that is a fantastic offer, how kind are you! I will wait to hear, will pm you with my details so as not to bore everyone on here!
-
It's a long shot (and mods please delete and accept my apologies if this isn't allowed) but if anyone is willing to share a booking ref for 2 games so I cna go to VP this afternoon please DM me. Season ticket holder up until 2 years ago but have only been to the one game this season. And the last one of our original matchday line up not to get a ticket!
Many thanks in advance

Given that everyone who's been to a couple of cup games this season or is a ST holder was guaranteed to get a seat and that ordering early doesn't necessarily mean a better seat, Villa did seem to over complicate it a bit.
I assume that they wanted to spread out the demand but they could surely have done so in a less complicated manner.
-
Morning all.
I can't get up to VP today as I live in South Bucks. I do have a booking reference with 2 games for this season and if anyone wants to use it please DM me and I will give you the details.
-

Perhaps a long shot but in return for two references I'd be willing to make the trip from London to Villa Park to get tickets for anyone from here who still needs them but cant get down to the ground.
I read that they were open 9AM-6PM Mon and Tues this week to help with the demand (and have been selling tickets to people from 8AM to ease the queues). Not sure if they have confirmed that they will be opening later tomorrow onwards as it normally closes at 5PM.

Postman has been any the one ticket i'm waiting for (ordered on Friday 3rd April) still hasn't arrived. Anyone else still waiting?

Still waiting on mine, wouldn't worry too much until Thursday.

I'm still waiting and I ordered on 31st March.

Ordered mine last Thursday and just had a text to say it's been delivered. I'm in London.

Mine literally came about 10 minutes after I posted this, got them! I'm sure we'll all get them before the weekend.

Ordered Thursday, received today!

I ordered on Thursday last week and am still waiting, wont be panicking until Thurs/Fri.
-
There were probably about 100 ppl queuing when I got there at 8am this morning and about 100 after me when we left about 9am. They were selling blocks 533, 535 and 139 (I think).
-
About 150 when I was there at 11.

Yep still waiting woz, ordered same day as you.
-
Likewise with other posters too far from the midlands to buy a ticket in person, it would be great if someone could get an extra one and I could arrange the details and how to meet them before the game.
-
Anyone know when 1+ for this season is likely to become valid as I think I can do this and have someone who can collect. Please PM me if you know?! Thank you
-

I know it's Wembley not Villa who are releasing the blocks, but when I got a ticket for my husband yesterday with a 3 game booking history, I could only get him a seat in the very top tier.
If I hadn't spent £27 on a QPR ticket to boost his booking history, it seems I could have got him a ticket on a 2 game history in 139, just 2 blocks along from us in 137!
I can understand them releasing blocks one at a time, so that the final sales can still get groups of seats, but I can't understand why they were selling NO lower tier yesterday when there were clearly lower tier tickets left.
At least QPR was a good game I suppose.
-
I went about 12.20 and took me just over an hour to get to the counter (thanks again to jonnym for his very kind offer of his booking reference). Same as many have said, only £33 and £43 tickets available all around block 533.
The woman I spoke to behind the counter genuinely didn't know how many were left or what happens next. She said she's be surprised if they still had tickets to sell tomorrow though
-
I'm still waiting and I ordered on 31st March.
Ordered mine 30th March - I was told today on the phone that they were posted yesterday!! If not received by tomorrow I will be in panic mode as it has taken me 3 days to get through on the phone and I cannot get to the ground in person before Saturday!

Well, well, well, I have got a ticket thanks to the very good offices of someone on here to whom I am very indebted as you can imagine. A big shout too to Andy who was prepared to let me have a ticket reference which I did't need in the end and to Alan who was even prepared to go and collect a ticket on my behalf from VP. That says a lot about my fellow Villa fans. So Rob, Haroon, Frank, Cheltenham Lion, Pauline, John et al, see you there! I am over the moon
-
Folks if anyone has a ref with any life on it I really need a ticket for my cousin so please PM if you can assist. Cheers
-
Noticed this has been added to the story on OS:
For those supporters who have now received their semi-final tickets, we would ask that you are careful to cover your seat details and your personal data if publishing images of your tickets on social media.
This will minimise the risk of your tickets being fraudulently duplicated.
-
Sorry can I clarify, are you now able to get tickets without current season booking history if you go down in person?
-
Desperate plee for client reference no: with two games registered. I am at the ticket office at Villa Park. For massive Villa mate who lives in Devon 😰😰😰

The worst season for me for going to games since I started going as a nipper in the mid 70s was 2010 so I feel your pain.

It will all depend if we have any left, and if so how many. Keep an eye on here, but also the Villa Facebook/Twitter pages.

So far, for the first time since the mid 60s, I've not managed to get to a game this season for a variety of reasons. I've usually got to at two to three games by this stage of the season, despite living abroad for the last 10 years. Just arrived back in Brum to live and could collect a ticket but don't meet the criteria - but I guess some would say I don't deserve it if I haven't been to any games.

I've heard it will be going to 1+ tomorrow. No guarantee it's true but what I heard so thought i'd mention it.

Tickets for Villa's FA Cup semi-final are available on Wednesday to supporters with a varied booking history of two or more games.
Supporters are able to purchase up to six tickets for the Wembley match but must have a qualifiying client reference number for each one.
Tickets are available from 9am in the morning - but can only be purchased in person at Villa Village ticket office.
No ticket sales will be processed over the telephone as tickets are no longer being posted out.
Tickets will be handed over at point of purchase.
Tickets are sold on a first come first served basis.
Please be aware there are only a limited number of tickets available - so anyone turning up is not guaranteed the chance to snap up a seat for the showpiece semi-final.
We would like to thank supporters for not phoning the box office hotline for tickets since the start of the week.
This has enabled us to process tickets from the Villa Park ticket office efficiently during a hectic period.

Damn. Ive got one reference with 2 games and one with a single game - can anyone furnish me with a 2+ reference??

How are Liverpool getting on selling theirs?
-
Anyone used club Wembley before? The ticket says no club colours but is in the Villa side of the ground.

all done........they went to season ticket holders and a ballot of their members
-
Anyone know how many we have left? I hope we sell them all.

The way the piece reads on the website is that it will definitely sell out...........

I'll be amazed if they haven't all gone by the end of tomorrow.

Good. We don't want Scousers outnumbering us.
Can't bloody wait!

Nor me. This week is going to drag by!

Well it doesn't say specifically from this season and all the other updates have said this season specifically so........I reckon its over past seasons but I agree its not clear is it and haven't we had 2 games from this season already.......
-
I take it a varied booking history would include lapsed season ticket holders. ie we all had one for 5+ years up until last season as well as previous cup semis and some away games?
-
In thick mode at the moment and I need this explained. Can I use my ST ref and booking history for away games to get another ticket?
-
One ticket per ref number. And it's based on home games only.
-
You have to have gone to at least two home games this season and it's one ticket per customer if that's what you've got. You can't pay over the phone and then go and pick them up, either, it's go down and queue up.

Just arrived at VP, about a dozen in queue. Desperately need one more client ref for a tkt for 12 yr old nephew. Is there anyone with a spare client ref no please? Cheers! UTV

How is the queue looking now?
-
About 150-200
-
Given the tine involved its mental we have run out of tine to sell tickets fairly. This bias against away games and against fans now living outside the city needs looking in to. We will probably all have forgotten in 15 years and repeat the errors though.
-
I can't remember us ever counting away games for semis or finals. Could be wrong but even back to the programme vouchers it's always home games only.
-
And the ticket office doors are open!
-
Good Luck everyone who is queueing this morning! Sounds a bit more lively than Monday when I was there!

If it's done anything it has stressed the importance of keeping your ticket purchases allocated to your Client Ref No. I'm frankly astonished people don't do this? Or am I being harsh? I've stopped beinga season ticket holder this year but have ensured all my ticket purchases were assigned to mine and my sons client refs. Seems simple enough to me....

There must be a huge number of people that can't get there that want tickets and could otherwise get them (like myself) that'll miss out completely.
It's going to be frustrating, I'm living just down the road from Wembley too.
If I thought it was possible, I would have caught that 5:45am train with Alan_Clarke! Great job.. deserves best tickets in the house for that effort!

It was easier in some ways because it was either programme vouchers or ticket stubs. However that meant that people abused the system because it was a piece of piss to do so, at least this way those that go the most to VP are guaranteed a ticket. Which is the way it should be.
In hindsight though they have dragged it out too much. This criteria should have been last week as a lot of people who only go occasionally are going to be those that live a fair distance away. And expecting them to be able to get up to VP on a weekday at such notice is obviously going to be hard for a number of people.
That said, I think they expected to have sold out before reaching this criteria, so maybe they got caught out a touch by a larger than expected number of people not claiming tickets who qualified to do so.

Got mine! And 3 for fellow h&v'ers! :)
So glad you got a tkt Alan. Been watching your 'journey'. Hope yr boss is forgiving.

I would expect that next time we get to Wembley we'll have a fully electronic system in place. People travelling from London to stand in a queue is just absurd in this day and age.

Can't see such a system being ready in less than a month.

Are you saying we should prioritise out of town fans over those who don't have electricity?

You mean that you haven't flown over to queue up for a ticket ?
Lightweight ;)
BTW, I'll be seeing the mighty Toronto FC in action against DC United in Washington on June 6th

If anybody is in the queue and would be willing to pick one up on my reference in return for a pint or several in or around Wembley, then do let me know by PM.

I know mate, I really wanted to. Maybe I'll be a massive glory hunter and queue up for final tickets haha!
The mighty Toronto FC maybe the shittest excuse for a football team ever. All these years on and they are still utterly dire and have never once made the playoffs. And now proudly sitting second bottom of the east. Enjoy the Washington victory Mr Sox. Shame it isn't in Toronto, I'd have gladly met up for the game pre and post match refreshments.

Down to the final 500.
-
Getting through to VP just was a nightmare. I wished the girl on the phone 'a good afternoon' and she laughed. The ticket office are fantastic who really don't get enough praise.

One thing I'll say since Lerner bought the club is that the customer service is superb. Every time I phone the ticket office they are excellent, I can remember having all sorts of problems in the dim and distant past.

Agreed. Can't fault any dealings I've had with them.
-
There's probably all kinds of reasons why people who were entitled to tickets didn't claim them. Haven't received ours yet, but the postman left one of those while you were out cards for something that has to be signed for, earlier today. Which is mildly irritating as it's a home working day and I only left the house for 30 minutes.
-
Postman delivered the one I was witting for this morning. As others have said it was an adult ticket for a junior. I think they are all printed as adult tickets but Villa charge depending if buyer is child or OAP etc.
-
Yeah I also bought a child's ticket but but received a full price adult one. I must check my account to see if they've charged me the right price.

I think everyone buying in different age categories has the same. I got an adult, a senior and a junior and only got adult tickets.

Anyone else had an email from Villa to say that they'll be holding up a tile to form a mosaic as the players come onto the pitch?
I'm hoping it will form a giant V-Sign.

Blocks 130-137.
-
The mosaic will happen between blocks 130 to 137. They simply need to hold the tile upwards with the coloured side facing the pitch as the players come out of the tunnel. To make the mosaic there are three different colours of tile. We will keep the final design a secret.

I've been told that the design is going to be one of Stevie G mid-starfish dive, except with a vagina instead of a head.
The text underneath the photo will say "FAREWELL, FANNY FACE"

Still haven't had mine that I ordered on the 3rd. Rang up and the girl she said it was printed on the 7th and if it's not there by Friday afternoon to ring the ticket office again and they'll arrange a duplicate to be collected at Wembley. I did ask if I'd be able to get through as it took ages today. Apparently they're arranging for a team of people from the ticket office to be there to handle any that didn't get delivered. Bit of a ball ache to be honest and when you have an 11 year old coming home from school every day asking if his ticket has arrived and you have to tell him we'll probably have to collect it on the day, takes a bit of the shine off it. There are some things you just want to get your hands on. I know when I was 11 I'd have stared at it for hours and slept with it under my pillow.

I've built a little shrine round mine
Talking of shrines, if it can be an omen, not my doing at all, but the main shrine at the London Buddhist Centre this week has flowers dominated by a rather deep red and light blue (along with a lot of those green flowers), and, a single central flower offered in a special ritual last Friday evening is a bit football related, was put there by/for a guy who was on the books of Benfica as a kid.
Am I clutching at straws?
-
Anyone/many down there ? This needs to sell out!!

The last time I combined Buddhism with football we got shafted 7-1 by Chelsea.

Anyone/many down there ? This needs to sell out!!
It was always going to sell out without a problem, just dragged out because of the way the criteria was set to spread the workload at the ticket office. There are many, many more who wanted tickets but didn't fit it in with the criteria set (which was fair in my opinion). Not like when Blues went and even my Villa supporting sons managed to get tickets to go with their friend and his dad.

Now Sold Out, website says just over 32,000 so must have had a few more, same as Liverpool did. Roll on Sunday!!

We were in Club Wembley for the 2010 final. Apparently, even though you've paid £250, those fridges that you see dotted around full of bottles of beer aren't included in the price and you can't just help yourself to the beer. Took us ages to work that one out.

Nodge - Question about the dress code for Club Wembley - It says no "REPLICA CLUB SHIRTS" Does that include all club colours or stuff with Villa badges on? What was your experience?
With my 10 year old boy and and don't want hassle on the door or with any bin dipper - but clearly want to be associated with the mighty AV. Scarfs and hats? may be a purple AV rain coat..
And yes I know it's Club Wembley and not with the fans - a) I give my brother a ticket in block 127 and b) It was very very nice of Nike to give me two tickets for block 143. Very nice.

Club Wembley folks let me know where you are sitiing and hopefully I can pee on you from the upper tier?

Don't really remember taking much notice Cleybrooke (I'd had a couple of Sherries) but I'm sure there were people with colours on. None of us had colours on but then we don't anyway so I don't know what they would say on the door if you turned up in a Villa shirt. I can't imagine they would stop an 10 year old especially if it was under a jumper just in case :-).
I'm sure you can spot the different ends in Club Wembley by colour when you watch a game on TV? Sorry that's not much help, hopefully someone else will have an idea.

Churchill Arms is a cracking pub with good Thai food, but we stopped watching football there years ago as they just had (have?) a fairly average tv. If you want to watch in the background you will be fine but if you really want to watch it may be worthwhile scouting a different boozer.

Tickets didn't turn up yesterday so I've gone on the duplicate list just in case. I did find out though that I'm in the same block as Leeg in row 13! What could possibly go wrong! The plus side is if the tickets do turn up eventually, my son will have a couple of mint condition momentos of our famous win.
