"Former Manchester United footballer"
He was there for about ten minutes!

Yep, 12 games for them; compared with 156 games for Cambridge, 145 for Coventry, 155 for us.

'The England-capped footballer has traded the 'Theatre of Dreams' for his excitement and love of properties..'
-
Fair play to him. There are plenty of ex-footballers in the media who can hardly string a sentance together but Dion isn't one of them.
-
Daily Mail online says he retired in 1998. The last ten years of his career obviously didn't matter.

When did the Daily Mail ever let FACTS get in the way of a story?

Same as 'Former Manchester United goalkeeper Mark Bosnich' as he tends to be introduced.

Surely it's 'Inventor of the Dube'.

In other news German TV has announced that Thomas Hitzlsperger will be presenting a new series as a roofer entitled `Homes under Der Hammer`.

I met Dion Dublin once when he was out in Tenerife with BFR's Coventry squad. It was quite surreal. I went up to the bar in my local, met Kevin Richardson who I had a quick chat with and then went back to tell my mates he was in the bar. They were a step ahead of me and pointed out the whole Coventry team were in the place. I think they had a free week due to being knocked out of the FA Cup. I hadn't realised as it was packed out due to it being Grand National day. A bit later I was outside when Dublin had a chat to my mate Stevo. They were both from Leicester and Stevo knew Dublin's dad as he was a taxi driver in the area who had picked him up from many a night out. Unfortunately I didn't meet BFR. I asked Dublin where he was and apparently he was holed up in a villa somewhere on the island with his missus.

magnificent
So rumour has it...
-
I thought this was a joke about the size of his schlong.
-
That looks like it could be a headline to some daft Viz story. In fact I might write one.

Very good Andy!!!!!
-
The woman who has been presenting it for years is married to an ex Wimbledon footballer I think. Dion, will prove to be popular on this show
He is good TV material.
-
Good for Dion!
Would have been even better for us all if it had been "Eamonn Holmes Under the Hammer"!
:D

Nah, it's less than the average number of clubs a player plays for during his career (4.44 Forfar)

I've seen him in the Starbucks at our local Sainsburys a few times. This, observers of the celeb spotting thread in OT may be interested to know, is the same one in which I have repeatedly seen Ian Beale from Eastenders and that mental Jo Cameron woman from the Apprentice a few years ago (last saw her last week, she's smartened herself up a bit).
Anyway, my favourite spotting of Mr Dublin was the last time, when i was behind him in the Starbucks queue. He ordered his drink and the girl asked him for his name for the cup. "Dion", he said. "Sorry?" she said. "Dion" he replied.
I don't really know why, but it just made me laugh.
