Could go to this as I will be back in Morecambe over Eastern but £46 is a bit steep right now.
-
In the celebratory haze of Wednesday morning, this here mug also bought his ticket for the game

Anyone know any good parking locations for a quick getaway back to Brum after the game?

Sorry, the home fans have nabbed them all.

Lowry Outlet Mall carpark.
Just along the canal and over a footbridge.

Cheers , will probably try there to avoid the A56 nonsense after the game

For the second away game in the last three I booked a ticket without bothering to see if I could go. Turns out, I can't go, so I have a match ticket and travel for sale if anybody is interested. Ideally I'll sell them both together at face value of £66, but if anybody is interested in either ticket individually feel free to PM me also.

Parking at the Lowry gets you back on the Motorway (M602) within five minutes. From there you can decide whether to use the M60 or M62 depending on traffic.

If anyone has 2 tickets available or if they can't make it for any reason please let me know, I'll take them.

Getting to grounds by train/Metro/Tube normally not a problem but as the conman says, its getting away again after.
When possible I run/jog one stop further away and get on. That way I'm sat down when the train/Metro/Tube arrives at the main match station.
eg for Spurs games, I head to Tottenham Hale post-match, rather than Seven Sisters.
This plan might also work at OT but I'm not familiar with the stations
-
As its Easter weekend aswell I am expecting travel chaos in all directions.
-
@WMPVillaFC: #avfc #utv Fans travelling 2 OT Saturday there r NO pubs around OT happy 2 accept away fans, advice is 2 drink city Centre then tram it in.

or people could always just go for an afternoon watching football without the need to go drinking as well.

Honestly can't remember the last time I did that. Probably talking 2 decades.

Bloody hell mate that's a bit radical
-
I suppose that having to drive to all games means that I've never associated watching football with drinking. However, watching rugby or baseball is a different matter.

Heaven forfend.

Man U away without drinking? There are sooo many reasons to. Tourists, Brummie Reds, 50/50 scarves, traffic, beer in the ground in Man U glasses (ok that's a reason), obvious Man U fans in the away section usually with kids.
and then there is the annual defeat.

Here's an idea for anyone planning to use the Metro from the city centre. After the game, instead of fighting the crowds to get on at Old Trafford, walk over the bridge, past the Lowry and get on at Media City.

We parked over there today, was back on the m6 within 15 minutes of getting in the car.
Brilliant spot.

The Lowry is a cracking spot to park.
I was there by 9:30 and it still only cost me £7 (after validation)
