Mods, please move if necessary.
I know its probably not fashionable to like like stuff like this. But I thought this is pretty good.

I like that.
Proper "anthem"...
Very easy to sing!
-
Sounds like the bloke who sings that JCB song.
-
Great song, really liked it, should be played at VP regularly.
-
I like it.
-
Really good! Sounds like it just grew naturally!
-
Does anyone remember that one that got posted on here I think just before the 13/14 season kicked off? It was shite.

I think I do, if it's the one I'm thinking it was crap. Funny enough It was reposted on the H&V Facebook page the other day.
I like this one though, that would work on the terraces.
-
I've heard worse Villa songs. It's also adapatable, in the same way "paul mcgrath m'lord" is... Will it spread... It will take a bit of luck and a cup run!

This one?

Sounds a bit rubbish on Youtube with that arrangement but I quite like listening to the tune at the end of the game.
-
I really like this. The line about 'my father said there's a team for you' is great, it always bothers me that we sing 'my old man said be a city fan' when my Dad most certainly did not!
They need to get this played at Villa Park quick while there is a good vibe about the place.
-
I think it sounds really arrogant.
The Villa Park crowd will never sing a song like that.
-
What a nice surprise. Best recorded Villa song I've heard in a long long time. Great lyrics.
-
I like it - needs a shit support verse though.
-
Like it, new song for the beginning of a new era. Get it out there!
-
Listened and shared - I like it!

Great song in my opinion ! The band posted this about it on twitter :

Good song - deserves some VP airtime.
I think we lack something to sing about rather than a song to sing.
-
Excellent stuff. Would sound great at Villa Park.
-
Not bad. Hopefully we can hire these guys to do the Cup Final song.
-
I like it - needs a shit support verse though.
Ha. A derogatory mention of our neighbours might be useful too.

That is actually a good quallity song

I think he may have been latching into my irony. We both forgot our winky thing
;)
-
Didn't know Mumford & Sons were Villa fans.

this is funny

Really like this. Hope the club get hold of a copy. Can imagine this being played before the game, loudly before the Albion Cup Quarter Final.
-
Notice that this was played before the game on Tuesday.

It was a different song played at the end wasn't it?

Heard it on here a bit ago and pleasantly surprised to hear it at the end on Tuesday (didn't hear it at the start)...it may have been an edited version, I don't know, I was too busy squealing, dancing with a steward and hugging the bloke next to me!
:D

I've tried to get in touch with the band who made this song on their Facebook page to try and make a video for this song. I saw it mentioned on a YouTube comment and thought it would be a great idea to get a video to go with it, no excuse for the club to get behind it then and play it on the big screens!
If anyone knows the guys or can get in touch with them and see if making a video is a possibility that would be great, I'd love to try and get some shots at Saturday's game and with some co-operation from the club then I hope I could do the song justice with a good video.
Hopefully they read my message of Facebook soon so we can get started :)

The finished product:
-
Good work
-
Excellent, I really like it
-
That is excellent.
-
Mike Jeffries and his Mom are in that video.
-
Every match, crank it up! Thanks to all involved.
-
Av it
-
Thanks for the good feedback!
Let's get this played on the big screens at Villa Park, and maybe Wembley? ... ;)
-
Anyone else really like the half-time lion on the screens?
-
I love it.
-
Excellent work Daniel.
-
That's really atmospheric - nice work everyone involved.
-
That's brilliant Daniel...well done mate!
I think a shorter fan-singing version would be taken up by The Holte and others, especially if it was displayed on the screens.
-
Really kind messages throughout. I'm glad that everyone likes it, that's always the thought in the back of your mind when you make something - "what if everyone hates it?"
Thank you all.
-
Goosebumps for me. Very proud of my club goosebumps.
-
Well done...great stuff all round, song and video. You couldn't have chosen a better match to film for the video. Can you imagine doing the video with footage from the 1-0 loss to Leyton Orient?
-
Yes that's why I was so desperate to get in touch with the guys because I knew how good the atmosphere was going to be, and the fact we scored and won, made it even better.
I'd planned on going along to the match and was going to film the locations around the ground regardless of their reply, it was hardly wasted time if they decided against the idea of a video. Next thing I knew I had a media pass and was down by The Holte End filming crowd shots. Unbelievable scenes.
-
I normally find these sort of efforts pretty cringe worthy, but that's decent. Nice one.

That's a good response from the club resulting in a great video. Well done Daniel. Keep it going.

Well done & thanks :)
Great call to get filming done that day!
Btw don't just press play on the embedded video, make sure you change to the highest YouTube resolution...
-
Yes agree! Definitely watch on 1080p for the best quality.
I've had it playing on the TV with surround sound, the beats with the cuts to different shots work really well, but my favourite part has to be the 82 goal with the commentary too.
-
Great job! Well done Daniel.
-
Footy songs by fans are normally a bit naff. That was alright though to be honest. I did quite like the other one that got played at the end of home games when we won. I keep forgetting what it's called.
-
Hasn't been played very often the last few years!
-
Wow, that's actually really good!
-
Daniel has done a great job working at Halesowen Town too, check out YeltzTV as well for more of his work...
-
Haha cheers mate!
Do I know you or are you just a loyal fan?
-
Good work Daniel!
-
Fix your eyes on the big screens today in anticipation that this video could be played today at Villa Park!
Glad you all like it, thanks for the feedback.
-
Really love it and the video works really well.
As a side note the last shot of the crowd edging forward, then raising in anticipation, holding for a split second then erupting in unison epitomises what football is about
Love it
-
Just wanted to say a big thanks to all who have watched the video this past week.
It now has over 4000 views which is more than we all expected so thanks again.
Let's try and push it to 5000 or more, and then onto the Wembley big screens!
Cheers
