Tickets for this are only £19.00 for adults, £14.00 for over 65s and £5.00 for under 15s.
I can't remember the last league game where it cost less than £20.00 to get in.

Fair play to Sunderland . Great prices them.
-
Is this one of those games where Villa have knocked the prices down? At Sunderland, the minimum ticket price is £25

Tickets for Sunderland v Villa are on sale today.
The game takes place on Saturday March 14 at the Stadium of Light.
We have an initial 2,000 allocation for the 3pm kick-off.
Prices are £19 [adults], £14 [O65s] and £5 [U16s].
As part of our ongoing commitment to drive away attendances, we agreed a reciprocal visiting supporter price discount for this match with the Black Cats.
Tickets are on sale today to 2014-15 season card holders who attended nine or more Barclays Premier League away fixtures this term.
From Thursday February 5, they are available to 2014-15 season card holders who attended five or more Barclays Premier League away fixtures this term.
From Monday February 9, they are on sale to 2014-15 season card holders who attended one or more Barclays Premier League away fixtures this term.
From Wednesday February 11 they are on sale to 2014-15 season card holders.
From Friday February 13 they are available to Villa Cash members.
On Monday February 16 they are on sale to supporters who attended three or more Barclays Premier League fixtures this term.
From Wednesday February 18 they are on general sale.
It's a good idea to supply one client reference per seat to build up booking history.
You will be able to buy tickets in person at either Villa Village or New Street, on the phone at 0800 612 0970 or from our ONLINE BOX OFFICE.
Coach travel for this fixture departs at 8.30am.
The first five coaches to this match will be free of charge - any additional coach travel will cost £23 per person [non-refundable].

I maybe would have done last season and beyond but this season just 1...and that was the Baggies......have had it knocked out of me i'm afraid.

Shouldn't that 5th line read;
As part of our ongoing commitment to drive away attendances, we agreed to keep employing Paul Lambert?

I was going to say perhaps we can keep employing him but as a coach driver rather than a coach but we'd probably end up in Southampton rather than Sunderland.

I've got 5 that I've been to and I've let others use my card at least twice. So probably a few short.

Are any coaches that allow alcohol on board doing travel to this?
-
I'm in a bit of a quandry for this one - I want to go up to Sunderland for family reasons, but obviously want to see the game too.
My 9yr old is coming but initially felt our away support might be a bit much for him at this age.
I can get 2 tickets in a "quieter" part of the home end but saw today there are still tickets left for ours. Hmmm, not sure!!
If we score it will take some monumental willpower not to move an inch, but I'll do it.

SOLD OUT

I'm travelling to this on the club's free coaches for the first time ever, as I'm taking my lad.
Can anyone advise on what it's like for leaving my car at Villa Park all day? Do they let you park in what is usually the away coach park?
Thanks in advance.

Why not have upper the allocation to 2350 and flogged them that way from the start?

I'd say it's because Sunderland have just realised they won't sell them so are offering them to us.

A while ago I did some research into how the club obtains away tickets. I can't remember which thread I put it info in.
However, the main reason why the club may not take the full allocation at the start is that everything over the minimum allocation has to be paid for in full by the club, ie if the club takes 1000 extra tickets but only sell 500, they still have to pay for 1000. Therefore the club has to be pretty sure that they'll sell out any additional allocation before they'll consider asking for extra tickets.
-
Long shot I guess at this late stage but I have a spare ticket going at face value of 19 quid. Please PM me if you're interested.

This seems like madness. All teams have to go away so why can't clubs be reasonable with each other and allow any unsold tickets to be returned?

Think this is what happened with Kiddy when they played Sunderland in the FA Cup last season...Kiddy sold first allocation and wanted another 500, Sunderland said you can only have another 1000 and you gotta pay for them up front.
Seems incredibly twattish to me.

"As part of our ongoing commitment to drive away attendances, we agreed a reciprocal visiting supporter price discount for this match with the Black Cats."
So I assume this means they paid £19 a ticket when they came here...similar arrangement with Hull and Swansea where we all pay £25.
