Any idea when tickets will be on sale and pricing ?
-
By the end of the week i'd have thought and same prices as yesterday is what i'd expect.

Early next week, end of this week I reckon after they have decided if its on the TV, when its going to be played and they have agreed prices, allocations with Bournemouth

Really hoping it stays Saturday 3pm . Good old fashioned cup tie.

Will depend when the Police want the Blues v Tesco Bags game played, I would suspect on a Sunday @ 12:00pm

That'll be a tough game. Have a feeling this will be as far as we go. They look a good side. I think they'll be buzzing and will be well up for it.
-
They made eight changes in the last round, not sure how high a priority this will be for them. Admittedly, they still won 5-1 away...
-
Good chance of being a TV game - underdogs from the Premier League looking to take the scalp of the top Football League club.
In the run-up maybe the Beeb can even dig out that behind the scenes documentary made about us in 1972 that was largely filmed around the 2-1 win over Bournemouth if I remember right. 48,000 there for a Div 3 game, what a sight Villa Park was that day.

Had a chat with a Rotherham fan today.
Told me he got the news that they were 1 up as he finished work...went to the pub and looked at the Sky screen...."gutted" doesn't convey his heartache.

I'm going ultra-optimistic; you can only beat those put in front of you. Good draw for both of us...I think.
UTV!

Soooo excited about this. That game was the very first villa game my dad took me too. He was originally from bournemouth before meeting my mum and living in worcester since 50's. we still have family down there, and a couple are season ticket holders. As a surprise for my dads birthday last season they got us tickets for st . Andrews sat in the cherries end as that was the first time he had seen them play live for a good few years. It was a great day and they thumped blues, just as this year !! They don't seem to play their first choice 11 in cup games given their focus on promotion so should be interesting. From a purely selfish point of view I hope its a Sunday game as we are going to Liverpool game and getting 2 consecutive Saturdays off is a problem !

I was a 12 year old when we played them in the old 3rd div and can remember that game as if it was last week.
48,000 there which was a 3rd div record till the Sheffield Derby many years later I think,,even the Beeb could not ignore Us and we was the first ever game from the 3rd div shown on m o t d.
I will be looking forward to this more than us playing any prem club because of the memories it will bring back
Magical times

Pravda
The date has been set for Villa's fourth round FA Cup clash with Bournemouth.
We face the Cherries in B6 on Sunday January 25, with a 3pm kick-off.
The match will not be televised.
Bournemouth, of the Championship, are managed by Eddie Howe.
They currently sit top.
It will be only the third time the two teams have met in a competitive fixture at Villa Park.
In 1987, Mark Walters gave the claret and blues an 11th minute lead before Trevor Aylott equalised after half-time in a Second Division contest.
But the real memorable encounter took place in February 1973 in a top-of the-table clash in front of 48,110 - a record Third Division crowd.
This time, the south coast side went ahead through Ted MacDougall but Geoff Vowden and Andy Lochhead turned the game on its head to record a famous Villa win.
Ticket details will be confirmed soon.
-
It look likes the TV companies have considered the fixture, weighed up the chances of a Championship club defeating a Premiership club and despite the likelihood of such an occurrence have decided that inflicting the sight of Villa upon their viewers was too high a price to pay.
-
Anyone know when tickets are on sale ?
-
When details are confirmed. We have to agree prices with Bournemouth, the allocation they want etc. I expect it to be sorted in the next couple of days.
-
Why is there two threads about the same thing?
-
This is about tickets, which is why it is in Tickets & Travel, the other is about the draw and game.
-
Looks like we are playing Sunday,Blues vs Albion have got the Saturday slot.

Imagine they'll get noon on Saturday

I didn't think it would be televised. Yes it maybe one of the biggest chances of an upset this round, but there are still three or four more games at least which stand out more. Cambridge/Man Utd is just that classic FA Cup glamour tie, Blues/WBA and Brighton/Arsenal are also mouth watering ties.
Wouldn't mind a replay in our tie just so that I could. Still think we get through partly as their main focus will be promotion.

For some reason I am really looking forwards to this game
-
6'000 for the away support is good going. And the prices for home fans seem reasonable. We do seem to be one of the best in the league at least in this area ;)
-
Should guarantee a bigger crowd than the two giants of the West Mids and their SOTV singing competition!
-
Hoping we get 30k in the ground for this . A win tomorrow will help swell the numbers
-
Looking forward to this, just got two tickets for total of £20 at the back of the North Lower, wasn't stung with any booking fees either.
-
Yep no booking fees for this one.
I'm going trinity lower with the feet stampers

I'm going to this one with my daughter and her boyfriend. First game I've been able to get to in a few years. Looking forward to it. I was going to use one of the car parks shown on the official site and buy a ticket in advance. Not having been for a few years, I'm not sure where's a decent place to park these days. We don't mind walking a fair distance so I was thinking using the one in Lichfield Road. Can you buy a ticket in advance for this one?

Can't help with parking tips, but you can buy tickets in advance from the 15th when they go on general sale. Or the 14th if you have any booking history.
